How I get Voice Memos to stop crashing iPhone 3G
For the past half year, every time I open my Voice Memos app, it shows the app interface and then immediately crashes and exist the app. This happens without me touching the screen after opening it.

Downloading podcasts to Podcast directory iPhone 3G
Okay, here's my situation. I was recently given a iPhone 3GS that I was thinking of using an iPod touch (i.e. no cellular data -- just wifi). My car, an Audi A6, has iPhone/iPod integration as well as a built-in WiFi hotspot (using a Tmobile SIM built in to the car). I have a long commute so I listen to a lot of podcasts. I thought it would be cool if I could subscribe to x number of podcasts and have them automatically download/udate without having to touch the 3GS -- just do all the controlling via the car's interface. The problem it doesn't seem like podcasts are downloaded to the "Podcast" directory in the phone anymore (thank you iOS 6 and Apple's Podcast app). Since my car's interface will only stay in the "Music" directory, is there anyway to automatically get podcasts into that directory so I control them using the car's interface? 3rd party app perhaps? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I just bought an iPhone 5 (I did no SIM switch from old phone) & changed my phone number. Before I got the idea to use my old iPhone (with deactivated #) as an iPod for running/lake trips so I dont ruin my new phone, I deleted the old iPhone device, serial # & cell number from my AppleID. Can I still plug in the old deactived/deleted device into my itunes and add new music ? Will there be any adverse effects? OR do I have to do a SIM card roulette?? I recently dropped my Iphone 5 on its back, and the screen shattered. Upon looking at it further i see that the actuall screen and touch interface are fine, and the issue is the glass surface on the screen. I wanted to ask what would apple charge me for this repair? Why can t we delete alarms in Clock like we can in Mail in iPhone
In Mail, it's quick to delete a bunch of messages at the same time. Click edit, tap tap tap on all the dots, Click DeleteWhy isn't this same interface used in Clock? Just a petty annoyance - I accumulate alarms somehow, and after awhile I've got a long stack and it takes those extra little bit of work to clean out the stack and start again...

Maps Turn by Turn iPhone 3G
When I open directions from the yelp app I get turn by turn directions showing a picture of that step. I can swipe right or left to scroll back or foward though the directions. This is similar to the older iOS goggle maps app - although with a slicker updated interface. When I open directions directly through the new map app I can only view the directions in the overview or the new GPS Navigation style with siri voice. I cannot look ahead to the next steps unless I look at the list view, but this does not contain pictures. I typically don't need the GPS Navigation style, but would like to look ahead at all of the driving steps when I first look up directions. I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch between views. I can't think why apple would make it available one way, but not the other. Has anyone had similar problems or figured out how to work around this?
iMessage and Facetime won't activate iPhone 4S
Last night I accidently "deactivated" or erased my phone using the Find My iPhone app. Since then I have reset and restored my iPhone 4s multiple times and my iMessage and Facetime still say "Waiting for activation" any suggestions?
Could iphone battery really last long iPhone 4S
Hello, A few days ago my iPhone was probably stolen. When I rang it it rang on the other side (so it was still on), my phone company said nobody made a call from the phone, but it was nowhere to be found.The last time I charged it was Thursday morning. I used it on Thursday a bit before it was lost (around 12PM), although it was on vibrate mode and the 3G was mostly off. I rang it a bunch of times on Thursday, and also a few times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This morning, Monday, just before I deactivated.the SIM, it still rang. Could it be that the battery really lasted this long, and my phone might be lost, somewhere? Or is it a proof that somebody took the phone and he charges it?It's an iPhone 4s, not completely new but the battery isn't faulty. Thank you very much! Racheli.

I have an old iPhone 4 that I am no longer going to use as a phone. I have removed the SIM too. I would like to use it as an "iPod" for one of my kids. I have heard that even a deactivated.phone can always make at minimum 911 calls. So even my iPhone 4 does not have a SIM can it? Cannot afford a 911 mistake!
iPhone 4S lagging bad
My iPhone 4S started lagging really bad in framerate when I receive a single text! Here's how I tested it. I used Messages on my mac to send imessages to my phone. I would send about 12 at a time in a row. As I'm doing this, I'm on my home page of the iPhone 4S flipping through my different pages of apps to check the fluidity of the interface. As I am flipping, the lag gets really bad as the phone is receiving the iMessages; it becomes choppy. I also found a forum mentioning that the issue was the "Banner Notification", but I tested that by turning Banners off. Even with the banners off the phone has terrible lag... Is this normal? I've never had this problem before.. It has gotten to points where the phone would freeze for a good 5 seconds. I did a hard reset, and after I tested it by spamming my phone with messages from my mac. After the hard reset, the lag went away but I feel like it's just a matter of time before it starts up again, and it did a couple of days later it started again but not as bad. This time around the lag occurred after I swiped to unlock and moved across my different pages of apps.I'm really upset. This problem has never occurred before and the 4S is supposed to still be able to keep up as of speed. I'm not sure if this is a software issue or not, but I hope it is just an iOS6 issue that can be patched. I didn't have this problem when I was on iOS5. I also didn't spend $700 on a phone that's supposedly the fastest iPhone as little as a year ago, and now it's lagging like it's 2 generations behind. Please, can someone help.
iPhone 5 radio stopped functioning and now gives -1 error on restore
My new iPhone 5 which I purchased at an Australian Apple store died less than 24 hours after purchase. The problem was with the radio dying and continually searching for a network. I came back to the Apple store the following day and was told by an Apple "Genius" it was a carrier issue. I went to the carrier and they told me that I was on an incompatible plan and my SIM was deactivated.so I believed the incorrect assessment. As I was returning to Vietnam where I live 2 days later I didn't bother to sign up to another phone plan so I didn't discover until my return that the phone radio was actually broken. Now the nightmare begins as I go on the apple support merry go round! I am still in possession of my iBrick 5 with nowhere to send it and nowhere to replace it short of flying back to Australia! There has to be a better way to get a refund or a replacement!
App Store sluggish and buggy iPhone 3G
With the updated App Store in ios6, it seems very sluggish and buggy and crashes pretty often. When I pick Genius, it crashes 100% of the time. When I pick Purchased it crashes 90% of the time and other times just doesn't do anything. The biggest problem is using the new interface. If I'm browsing through apps there's this new horizontal way to swipe through them. This takes at least two swipes with my finger to get to the next app, some times 3 or more. It's horrible and makes using the App Store all but pointless. No, I'm not exaggerating. I'm on ios6 on an iPhone 4 using wifi most of the time.
Viber keeps popping out to Home Menu screen after I enter access code. How can I use viber iPhone 3G
I used Viber for 3 months. Since yesterday I deactivated.it to stop my friend from calling me. Then I try to download another one from AppStore after delete the old one. I seemed working really well, but not. After I received the access code, I type it in, it's right. But then instead of take me to my viber like usual, it popped me out to Home (Menu) screen, then I tried to start viber again, but it appeared the sign like processing, then POPPED out again and again. I did delete it one more time, download another one, type the same access code but it didn't work at all. I took the other one, and the same story happened!!! After that I cannot take anymore access code from viber (the issue is you cannot take more than 2 access codes in 24 hours), so I wait for 12 hours, did the same process, repeat the same thing. 3 days, I keep doing, keeping falling, keep stop using viber and my friends seem out of reach to me!!!!!!!! What can I do next???????????? Viber is helpful, but then without it, it annoyed me more than!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please help me out!!! Thanks a lot!!!
Accidental dialing of phone numbers when recent call option open iPhone
I have a problem with the iphone 3gs because of its great sensitive touch interface ( Sometimes it may be a problem). When my finger accidental touches the recent call options of phone some of the last received or called number dials without me realising the same. Why not you implement a touch confirmation (Double touch) before the phone numbers in the recent dial screen are dialed which will avoid accidental dialing thus avoiding inconvenienvce to the dialled person and avoid embarassment to me ( Inspite of owning an iphone)!!!!

iMessage not delivering iPhone 3G
I've seen a couple of different topics about this but none that really detail my problem. I transferred from MobileMe to iCloud when the transition first started (I use a @me.com email address still) and iMessage has always worked fine. It seems the last couple of weeks (maybe since MobileMe officially deactivated?) I can't send or recieve iMessages (both on my phone, iPad and now on Mountain Lion) using my Apple ID as the caller ID. If I set it to my number everything works fine, but the moment I set it to my me.com email address everything just sets to "Not Delivered" with the red exclamation mark. What's strange is that SOMETIMES the messages go through, even when it says not delivered. Everyone texting ME also gets Not Delivered, even if I may get the message. I've tried resetting network settings, I've tried restoring a back up and I've tried completely restoring my phone in a clean restore, nothing seems to work. And now (I know this isn't the right section) but Messages for Mountain Lion is doing the Not Delivered thing too. I'm assuming it's just a problem with my Apple ID? By the way, I have an iPhone 4, an iPad 3 and a MacBook Pro and it happens on all of them.

Voice calling on Russian iPhone
Previously when I use Voice calling on Russian language I said: "Call mother mobile" (Vizvat' mama mobil'niy (Вызвать мама мобильный) - on Russian). Now I need to say this words: "Call mother mob" (Vizvat' mama mob. (Вызвать мама МОБ)) Why in voice calling function Apple replaced hole word "Mobile" on simply pleasing to the ear "Mob"?? And as iPhone's answer I'm hearing "Dialing mother MOB" instead of "Dialing mother mobile"? There are not same situation with home or work numbers. It's not big problem for me and I think for everyone who use iPhone4 with Russian interface, but if Apple wants to make really user-friendly interface I think it would be better to change this one word "MOB" on hole "Mobile" (or MOB on Mobil'niy (МОБ на Мобильный) on Russian language). And can I change it myself? May be anyone now why it is so?

Missing iPhone Apps
Hello,I have a number of iPhone apps which are on my iPhone, but are not on my computer. In iTunes, in the Apps section of the Library, I can see all of my apps, but the ones that are not on my computer have a missing icon with a small exclamation point next to their names. If I double-click on these or select "Get Info," I see a dialog stating that it's missing -- The app "Remote" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? My question: How can I transfer these apps from the iPhone to my computer, so that they show up properly in iTunes? A few notes: 1. The apps really aren't on my computer. They really aren't.2. I have sync'd, and performed a backup. I have also performed a full reset of the iPhone, with a subsequent restore and a re-sync.3. The apps are on my phone. I can delete them and then re-download them via the iPhone's Apple store interface without any problem.4. I am unable to download them using iTunes store, as the link to purchase and download is labeled "Downloaded" and is greyed out. There is no apparent way to re-download any of these problematic apps via the iTunes interface.5. I have only one iTunes Library. I do not back up to iCloud. I use a USB cord for my syncs and backups. Many thanks in advance!
iOS 6 Help iPhone 4 inoperable.
To whomever it concerns, I am currently a new member in the iOS Apple Developer Program. I forgot that in order to install pre-release software, I need to register the UDID of my device before installing any pre-release software (In this case, iOS 6 beta on my iPhone 4). I unfortunately did not do this. I installed iOS6 beta on to my iPhone and now it is inoperable. My iPhone deactivated.and it shows a message saying that my device is not registered to the iOS Developer Program and that if I'm a current member of the Developer Program, that I need to register my device. I then registered my device and rerestored my iPhone, but I still get the same message that my device is not registered. Is there anyway I can get my iPhone to work or do I have to wait till the official iOS 6 release in the fall? Thanks,Luis

iphone unlocked
Recently unlocked my iphone 3gs through att. Did the process, everything seemed to go fine, but I can't tell if it's unlocked or not. People say the way to tell is to put in another sim card, so I put in a chinese sim card and it said no service. Havent used that sim card in a year, so it may be deactivated. I dont have any other sim cards now, but want to use it with a new sim card this summer. The only difference I can tell with the phone is that in settings, there was an option to select carrier, is this an indication that the phone is unlocked?

Stolen iPhone 4 disappears from Find my iPhone application
My iPhone 4 was stolen out of my hand earlier today. My iPhone was turned on and in use at the time it was grabbed. The 'Find my iPhone' app was installed on device and GPS was turned on (was looking at a map at the time). The police asked for my apple id and we logged into 'find my iphone' application shortly after the incident. My 3 devices were listed and iPhone was displaying with 'No location' status. Approximately 2 hours after the incident my iPhone device (1 of 3 total devices) simply disappeared as a device from the interface. If the device was only turned off by thief my understanding is that it would simply show 'No location'. Does anyone know what could have happened or how the thief has removed my device from my 'Find my iPhone' application?

iMessage and FaceTime not working iPhone 3G
Hi, I updated my IOS to 5.1 the other day, and since then neither iMessage nor FaceTime has been working correctly. I'm currently studying abroad in Spain, so my phone number is deactivated. I still have my apple ID on my phone however, which should be enough to use iMessage and FaceTime. When I go into settings, it says iMessage is "waiting for activation". I obviously can't call customer support either, as my phone is deactivated. Apple is really making me angry now. Updating the phone took away my iMessage and FaceTime abilities, and now I can't even contact them because they don't believe in email support. Can anyone propose a solution to my problem? It would be much appreciated!
messaging over Bluetooth iPhone 4
I have an iPhone 4 (CDMA) and recently purchased a 2011 Dodge charger with the 8.4” Uconnect interface. My phone connects through Bluetooth and I can stream audio and access the phone book to make phone calls though my car speakers, but messaging is greyed out on the Uconnect. All the research I have done indicates that iPhone's can’t do “messaging over Bluetooth”. Is there any way you can add this. Most people that this feature works with, have non-smart phones. Seems ridiculous that an iPhone can be shown up by a non-smart phone. I have heard that ford sync has the same issue with iPhone.
My iPhoto crashes after 5 seconds on iPhone 4S
Im running 5.0.1 OS on iphone 4S , just have downloaded iphoto , but seems like something went wrong , when i open the app from my home screen it does open for like 5-9 seconds showing the interface , but not showing any pics from my photo library or folders then it crashes , + ( sometimes before crashing it says) updating photo library , just for 1 seconds loading bar then crashes , tried deleting all photos i had on my library and formating my photostream and everything in my albums and restarting phone but still nothing happens also tried deleting app.iphoto.mobile by iExplorer , iPhoto just keeps crashing like this , is there any solution ? thanks in advance

I have an iPhone 4, and I am running iOS 4.3.5.I am reluctant to update because everything is working fine. Any reasons to update? Any reasons NOT to update? I see a couple of APPS that I have that will no longer work unless I update. Emails sent on iPhone not show up on my Mac
I have a few email accounts. For my Gmail account if I send an email on my iPhone, it does not show up on in sent mail on my Mac (or anywhere else for that matter). I am using Apple's Mail application and the emails I am sending from iPhone are also being sent from the mail application as opposed to using the Gmail HTML interface. Gmails sent from my iPhone do show up in sent mail when I open Gmail in a web page. Also, emails sent from my Gmail account on my Mac do show up in sent mail on my iPhone. I only have this problem with Gmail (my primary email account). My other emails sync up fine between me iPhone and Mac. Other info: Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com Mailbox behaviors: "Drafts Mailbox" and "Trash Mailbox" are listed under Mailbox Behaivors, but there is no "Sent Mailbox" like I have with my other accounts. I have a feeling that this is the root of my problem since I have no way of electing to have my Sent mail stored "On the Server". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
ios 5.1 camera shortcut on lock screen bug iPhone 3G
I just updated my iphone 4g to ios 5.1 and there is a camera shortcut icon inbetween 2 '=' sign on my lock screen. However,when i press on it ,the camera interface could not appear. what i mean was ,the camera interface appear abit from the bottom of the iphone screen and went back (the lock screen still there). Is this a bug ?

How you back up all your email accounts from iphone to mac if those email accounts not exits anymore
I have some old work emails I want to keep so I want to back them up from my iphone to my new mac (fresh new lion 10.7.3 installed. My old mac's hard drive failed so I lost everything & had to replace my hard drive so I don't have any backups on any mac. I only have these emails on my iPhone. I am affraid if I SYNC this iphone to my mac I will lose all my emails. Is there a way to copy all these emails over to the mac even though my old work emails are actually deactivated.now... Please help, I really need to keep these emails & need to back them up Thank you!
No volume on iPhone for calls sms or music
Hi there, I am currently using an iPhone 4 with the latest software update. The phone has stopped ringing and there is no sound at all. When I receive a call, the phone vibrates but does not ring. The same thing occurs when I receive a message - the phone vibrates, but there is no alert. The phone also does not produce sound for video clips etc. I have looked in the settings, and they are set to ring with the volume set to its loudest setting. The mute button above the volume keys on the side of the phone is deactivated. The volume keys on the side of the phone are also set not to adjust the volume of the ring (I have also tried it with this feature switched on). I have tried a number of fixes, including changing the ring tone, turning the phone off and restarting, doing a reset, changing the volume back and forth, turning off blue tooth, turning vibrate on and off etc. I can not get any sound at all from the phone. I have also set Lock sounds and keyboard clicks to on, but get no sound for them either. The phone was ringing this morning, however, it now does not ring at all. Any assistance would be good.
Mild wave likes effect on image when using camera iPhone 4S
Hi guys, I've had my 4s for awhile, it's been great, however I've noticed I had this mild wave like effect going across my screen vertically (left to right) when I'm using the camera app, or anything requiring the use of the rear facingCamera. It's not the interface or screen acting up, it'sLiterally the image being captured that has That effect.Is this normal? Ive uploaded a video of it, not too sure it is clear enough to be seen on YouTube, but youCan see it if you look close enough. I just bought the iphone 4s today, went to restore all data I had on my 3gs on to the new one. Everything is right but said my last back up was back in october, so I tried to back my 3gs up (it is deactivated) onto itunes and restored my new phone to original settings. I then plugged in the 4s hoping that all my texts/photos/apps would all be current but no luck, it only gives me my data since october! What do I do?

iPhone needed repair or replacement (volume buttons quit working under warranty), so I backed it up on 12/27 @ 11:27 am. in itunes. Took it to the Apple store, had to get a replacement. deactivated.the old phone, activated a new iPhone in the cellular account...in the store. Came home, plugged it into itunes and the "Set up your iphone" window shows "set up as new iphone" or "restore from backup of : (drop down box). In the drop down box is only a backup of my daughters ipod. no other choices appear. In itunes "edit>preferences>devices" the exact iphone backup file is there as date stamped above, also this backup file is shown in Windows file explorer. So I copied that iPhone backup file, saved it in another folder for safety. I have since then spent the same countless non productive hours cruising the net and this forum learning about things I have no use for (yet) and getting no answer to the question.....the backup exists but itunes wont show it as a restore option for this new phone. I tried rename the phone searching, clicking and unclicking options in sync types, etc......still this backup wont show as an option to load onto this new phone. The media content and apps are not of concern, its the 200+ contacts that we need to restore. Anyone know what this carbon based form is doing wrong? Thanks for the help and happy new years!
