hey i bought this second hand phone from a friend and this phone is locked by a korean carrier KT free tel, its currently running on IOS 4.1.so now i am thinking to use this phone on this IOS 4.1. but when i am downloading the apps from Itunes. it says a higher version of IOS is reqiuerd.so is it that applications for IOS 4.1 is no longer available on Itunes?????

Stuck on apple logo tried everything HELP iphone 4

I was installing an app, it got to around 3/4 of a way and then stopped installing and I waited about 5 minutes alas it was still stuck on the same 3/4 mark. A friend told me to turn my phone off and back on, stupidly I turned it off halfway through the download/install and it wouldn't switch back on, it just stayed at the apple logo. I've tried many "solutions" like holding down the home and on button, doing that whilst it's plugged into the computer etc and it just won't turn on! I'm thinking a trip to the apple store is needed but the closest one is around an hour away so before that does anyone have any suggestions? :(

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

have to restart iphone 4s to make or receive calls

Hi all.Had my iphone 4s for about a year.  For the last few days I've had to turn it off and turn back on in order to make or receive phone calls (Call failed message).  It then works fine for a while.  Receive texts (telling me I've missed a call), send texts, connect to internet etc no problem.Any ideas?

I am a developer, and have an iphone 5 that I am trying to install the ios7 beta to. Being my first time doing this, I wasnt aware you would need the phone's UDID # before doing this.  My iphone is in recovery mode, but it asking me to register the iphone on my developer account. However, to do this, I need the phone's UDID #... iTunes has it in recovery mode and won't show me it, I don't have the box, and the phone itself is in set up mode so it won't show me either! Am I stuck? PLEASE HELP! As of now, I have no idea of how to find it, I have googled a million times, and am exhausted and need to get my phone working. iphone 4 in recovery mode after failed attempt to restore

I decided to do a system restore on my iphone 4 GSM yesterday. Now it keeps getting stuck at around 10% when 'Restoring iphone Software'.The IOS was up to date, so is the Itunes version. It's in recovery mode, and I can't turn it back on, install the IOS again or anything of the sort. I tried restoring it from DFU also, it still won't work. Tried reinstalling Itunes, to no avail. I don't believe it's bricked, is it? Since it is being recognised when connected to Itunes.Any chance it gets stuck like that just because it takes a long time to restore it? (I had a lot of stuff on it, and it's the first proper restore attempted on this device) Any idea of how I might fix this?  Thanks in advance.

A friend has given me her iphone 4.  It still has all her data on it.  I want to install my data and erase hers.  How can I do this and make sure my data is safe.  I connected her phone to my computer thinking that I could reset it back to factory settings but it seemed that my computer wanted to save the data off the phone first.  I don't want to do this.  What's the easiest way of wiping her phone clean and then installing the data from mine? There are a couple of game apps on her computer that I'm happy to keep.  Is it easy to save these?  I'm prepared to erase them with the rest of the data from her phone if it's a problem.

Hi there, something weird happened to me and I don't know how to fix this... Now I have about 300 Facebook friends and since the iOS update I have had my facebook friends appear in contacts and I merged the contact in my phone With the contact on Facebook so obv I have it all merged into one, with updated profile pic of fb and link to there facebook all into one neat and tidy  Well for some reason and out the ordinary it has just disappeared, all the fb contacts have gone, when I untick the iCloud box on contacts and just the Facebook box when I go into groups only like a handful of fb contacts are actually there....I've tried unchecking the box in preferences and uninstalling the fb app itself to get these all back and pressing update all contacts in settings too and even though I have like 300+ fb it just says updated 16 or something ridiculous.. Anyways really hope someone can help!  Cheers

Trying to get iMessage to work on husband's iphone 5.Followed these instructions. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4268 All attempts failed. Image on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5538 shows that the phone number needs to be checked also.  Mine is grayed out so I cannot check it. I have already activated (months ago) my phone number and email with Apple, but only reason I am questioning how to activate iMessage is because someone tried to send me a message and I never received it.  They had to call to find out why I didn't respond. I've followed all instructions on the links I've listed above, but still does not activate.  iphone 5About this iphone: V 6.1.4 (10B350); carrier AT&T 14.0. iMessage under settings > waiting for activation; send and receive: email correct and verified; phone number does not have a check after it like the image shows at the above link. On my iphone 4, the phone number is checked along with the email address.So I'm thinking there must be an issue with the phone number in order to get iphone iMessage to work. Not finding anything about that on the Apple site or Googling either.

I recently purchased and downloaded Yesterday as well as Injustice and have not been able to install either app due to an "unknown error occurred (0xE000004)". I've downloaded both apps, and they're in my library, however, when I try to sinc my ipad 4, running IOS 6.1.3, I get an error message advising "The app was not installed on the ipad because an unknown error occurred (0xE000004).I have since downloaded Topia World Builder and it synced/installed fine. I have trid reseting my ipad, tried to unistall and reinstall the app, have updated to the latest itunes 11.0.3.02, have tried restoring my PC to a month or so ago when I didn't have these issues, but I keep getting this error message? Anyone know how to fix this? I've never had any issues like this before and I've had iphones, ipods and ipads for years?

I have app updates on my iphone 4s. When I click on the update it says installing for about 1 sec and then stops and says update again. If I try to install a new app it does the same. I have an iphone 5 and it is not doing this.

need help using iErase to zero out iphone 3GS

I'm about to buy an iphone5 and need to wipe my iphone 3GS.  After backing it up on itunes, I restored the old iphone to erase everything.  I  had planned to  then install  iErase to zero  out the free space.  Here's my  problem.  After I restored my phone I couuldn't figure out  how to put iErase back on it.  While  in itunes, I selected the  iErase app to install  and hit sync.  Itunes proceeded to sync everything back onto my  iphone (apps, contacts, etc.).  I must have missed a step.   I tried to restore again.  After this eraseed everything, I connected it to my Mac and   itunes started to automatically back up my now "restored" iphone despite the fact that I  have automatic back ups deselected.  It eliminated my previous backup that had all my stuff.  Fortunately I was ables to select an older backup to restore and was able to retrieve my data. This has been a major pain.  I need to do all of this before I trade my phone  in at AT&T when I go to buy my iphone5.  Can anyone help? Thanks

iphone app updates frozen in waiting-what to try next

Hi, I tried to update 3 apps on iphone 5 about a week ago. They got 'stuck' while updating, and now are permanently frozen showing a greyed out icon, and saying the status as 'installing.'  I have tried everything and need more suggestions.This is what I have tried:Restoring - no changeLogging off iTunes account, pressing home and lock button til apple icon appears, then logging back in - this changes the status to 'waiting' but it's still frozenHolding down icon to delete - it doesn't have cross above these 3 affected appsGone into -> General -> Usage -> then selected each affected app and Deleted them - no changePlugged into PC and synced, then tried removing apps and installing again - the icons aren't removed when I remove, but when I install them again, it does kickstart the icon to change to 'loading', but then it returns to 'installing' and is still frozenAdding a new app/ installing updates for other apps to check to see if iTunes account works - yes they added/ updated fineCalling Apple tech support. The guy was really nice and helpful, but his advice didn't work (as above.)  He told me to contact the iTunes account support, and ask them to delete the apps from my purchase history and then try re-installing themContacting the ITunes account support - they emailed me back, and advised me that they checked my download queue and "updates of these three apps are not there." (?) So they gave me the advice to do as above. He also sent me to this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 which at the last step says "If you continue to experience the issue, contact the developer of the application for further assistance."  Now, my issue is: How the heck do I contact the developer, and will this help, when it seems to clearly be an iphone problem? Should I give up and take the phone into an Apple store? Any other suggestions will help.  Cheers.

iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode. Error code-1 .

I recently bought my iphone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!
