iphone 5 synced up OK with prius for phone. Phone works well over the sound system. Siri speaks over the sound system when in the car. Oddly enough, Google Maps nav assistant speaks over the sound system. The question is: How can I sync the music/multimedia on the iphone with the bluetooth on my prius. Or can I???
I get bluetooth in prius C but, I loose my voice navigation and the ability to listen to podcasts. What am I doing wrong? Now I tried to fix it and even lost the bluetooth but, I am sure I can fix that though I am having a hard time. What a bother. I drive over 3 hours a day and really need the bluetooth and voice nav on iphone 4 and sure could use listening to podcasts. Any help would be much appreciated.
how do i sync my phonebook to my 2008 prius?
How does one set up hands-free on a Verizon iphone 4s in a 2010 prius?
I have a 2008 prius with the factory Bluetooth, sometimes My iphone fails to automatically connect. When this occurs, if you try to switch off the bluetooth in the general settings, it fails to turn off. It then turns back on and connects. I believe that the OS just restarts the bluetooth server after the crash and when it is in this clean state everything works correctly. Here is the crash log, I have one of these for every day now sine the iphone 4.1 update.Incident Identifier: 4F74BA12-5168-47E3-8D4E-AD8C11EF5162CrashReporter Key: 8eef475be1a80b61c63cf3764e5f65e176bbbbf6Hardware Model: iPhone3,1Process: BTServer 2387Path: /usr/sbin/BTServerIdentifier: BTServerVersion: ??? I have a prius with Toyotas Blu Logic installed. With my 2G iphone, the Bluetooth worked very nicely-- calls and voice mails came through the speakers. With my new iphone, though, it seems ALL the iPhones sounds are coming through the speakers, and there seem to be sounds for most activities. So if I wake the phone, or an email comes in, or I search the phone for a name, I lose the car radio for about 10 seconds each time.Is there a way to have the iPhones Bluetooth work just as a phone headset and not try to stream all audio? Macbook, iMac G5, iBook G3, iPhone4 Mac OS X (10.6.4)
Hey guys. Play music through my iphone via USB in my prius. Music has always been fine, but when i updated to 4.1, then started to play music in my car, i noticed a crackling noise during music playback. I thought maybe the speakers were blown, but there is no such sound when i play music CDs or pandora or anything other than the Mp3s. Is anyone having music playback issues after the 4.1 update??? Macbook Pro 2.2Ghz 4GB RAM 160GB HDD Mac OS X (10.6.4) iphone 4 16GB
I have an iphone 3GS and a 2010 Toyota prius (model V) that worked fine together until I upgraded to iOS 4. Now it will play music for about 15 seconds and then cut out... with an error message on the prius dash that it cannot read the USB device. Anyone encountered this or know any workarounds? Thanks. iphone 3GS iOS 4
Hi,yes you can adjust the volume. Head on to youtube.com and search for prius 2010 volume ajustment or something like that and there is a clip that shows you how to enter into the service menu of the nav.:-)
I have a 2010 prius and when using the handsfree bluetooth I get complaints that the other person Im talking with can barely hear me. This happens with every call. Ive called my landline and left a message and it sounds like Im on the other side of a large room. I synced my wifes cheap Samsung phone and it sounds much much better. Its driving me nuts not being able to use the bluetooth in the car and the fact that other phones work good with this system make it seem like its the phone. BTW, Im not the only one with this problem. Many, Many people with iphone on Priuschat have the same problem. I have reloaded my iphone from scratch to see if that was the problem but its not. Any ideas? 3G iphone OS 3.1.3
I inadvertently deleted my iphone from my prius hands free system. My phone will now not reconnect when I try to register it. it continues to read not connected with now discoverable beneath. This is not an issue with my hands free system as I have successfully connected another mobile phone
I have my iphone 3G paired with my new 2010 prius (no nav, just Blu Logic added). The phone works ok over the Bluetooth, but the music quality is not very good. So, I plugged the iphone in using the AUX jack in the car. Music quality is really good now, but the phone wants to use the headphone jack for calls instead of the Bluetooth.Im looking for a way to force phone calls over the Bluetooth and use the AUX for everything else. Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks in advance.frank iphone 3G, 2010 prius Mac OS X (10.5.7)
My original iPhones bluetooth worked great with the prius. However, we recently got my husband an iphone and we can not get both to be connected at the same time to receive and make calls. It would be nice to have both working as we travel cross country together frequently. Does anyone have any experience with get two phones connected at once? Thanks in advance. PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.3)
I tried the steps below:On my prius: Go to Info -> Telephone -> Bluetooth -> Register -> Click on Register and the screen shows its connecting (The previous screen shows the passkey 1111.)On my iphone 3G: Go to Settings -> General Settings -> Bluetooth ON mode -> tap to the discoverable screen and search for prius HandsfreeIf I just powered off and on, it will find Handsfree but Not Paired. After a while, it becomes 1 Not Paired. There were never a screen asking to input my prius Passkey. If the phone has tried to establish bluetooth connection, it will simply show 1 Not Paired. Similarly, there is no screen or keyboard showing up for me to input passkey.Any help here? Thanks in advance. iphone 3G Other OS Bluetooth not working
I just updated to an iphone 3G from the original iphone. I never had any trouble connecting to my prius Bluetooth or my Garmin GPS Bluetooth. Now with the 3G iphone I cannot connect to either. Anyone else have this problem and perhaps a solution? Acer Aspire laptop Windows Vista
I had the original iphone starting in February 2008 and then upgraded to a 16GB 3G in July when they came out. On my 3G Ive been having a lot of reception problems. Whats more, when its paired with the bluetooth in my 2006 prius, the darn thing auto-answers. Ive noticed a lot of buggy things; for example, when Im in Starbucks, I get a Starbucks icon on the phone, but when I click on it, it goes into an endlessly loading loop where I get occasional flashes of a screen with the Starbucks music on it, but mostly it keeps loading. Ive taken the phone to the Genius Bar and, at their suggestion, Ive reloaded the software and changed the SIM card. Nothing seems to help.Is anybody else having these kinds of problems? Should I try to trade in my unit for a new one?? iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.5.5)
I just got a 3G and am very disappointed to find out it wont connect to the hands free system in my 2006 prius. My questions: Why does it connect to some Priuss and not others? (This is the impression I get from reading others posts). Also, does anyone know whether Apple or Toyota has any plans to fix this? BTW, my prius owners manual says that the built-in hands free system only supports HFP (Hands Free Profile) Ver. 1.0 and OPP (Object Push Profile) Ver. 1.1.This is especially annoying since the hand free system worked fine with my 2G.Help!Thanks,Kennen iphone 2006 prius hands free
I wanted to ask if anyone still has complaints or problems with choppy calls while on hands free in a prius or other car? I have switched phone, turned off 3G, unpaired, re-paired, deleted profiles, all to no avail. This has to be an Apple issue, because my previous generation iphone worked perfectly. It cant be the 3G issue, if I turned off 3G and still get complaints on the other end that my entire conversation is broken up. I guess the only solution is to just get a headset, or use the earbuds. What does everyone think? Does Apple need to update the firmware? Is that the only solution?By the way, the phones pairs and connects just as it should. Thanks! I have a prius with bluetooth I am trying to put my contact names and numbers in the cars system. It has asked me to start a transfer from the phone using the bluetooth connection. Thanks for any helpSTEVE Windows XP Pro
Have just got an iphone 3G and discovered it is not compatible with bluetooth handsfree on my prius. Seems to undermine the whole point of bluetooth. Apparently Toyota cant do anything about it does anyone know if there is anything I can do about the software on the phone that might make it possible to link them? MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.4)
I have a 04 prius and I am wondering if anyone ever had any success in downloading their contacts/numbers to a prius and if so how did they do it.
Thought this was amusing (although not necessarily in a good way).Went into the AT&T store yesterday to pick up a case. This is the same AT&T store I bought a replacement iphone 3G from (I ended up toss my first 3G in the washing machine by accident). :/ Previously owned a 1st generation. In any case, I overhear the salesperson talking to a customer about phones. The customer asks whats the difference between a Blackberry and the iphone. The iphone is a toy phone, the AT&T rep says. Dont get me wrong. Its fun. But its not for real work. Now, Ive had Blackberries for years (I work for a major financial). They certainly have their advantages. However, I wouldnt say my iphone is a toy. On more than one occasion Ive used it to VNC into servers, browse our corporate website, etc which -- while doable on a Blackberry, is a lot easier on the iphone.I wanted to say something to the guy, but Im not one of those people that likes to vehementally defend Apple products. Im sure he was simply saying what he was saying to sell a phone that day (because they of course had no iPhones in stock).Still, I cant help but feel that this particular AT&T rep was a less than stellar partner for Apple. Its like if I went into a Toyota dealership and the salesguy said Yeah, the prius is nice. However, if you want a car that can do REAL work, youll want a Tacoma. (Never mind the fact that the Tacoma uses up twice as much gas -- they dont have Priuses in stock anyway).
