Why Apple doesn't change my iphone in Argentina Why have I to go USA for change iPhone 4S

On febraury I bought an Iphone 4S but now the wifi doesn't work, this is a common problem in the Iphone, but now I am in Argentina and in my country there isn't any place where repair my telephone. I called to Apple to tech support and they told me they could not assist me because they only assist people from Mexico and Canada, and that I had to speak to an authorized service center in Argentina, so I went to the place they told me, in that place I say they can not sorting the problem, that the only solution is to travel to USA to change.Because they tell me that if in legal terms of the warranty states that if Apple so you can make changes determined through some mail? Why not give me that option? I have the right to use my iPhone in its 100%, the truth that without wifi and bluetooth is how to use it by 50%.Any recommendations?

My iphone 4 powered off by itself while i was using it. I know it didnt go dead, becuause it had 40% battery left, It will not charge, and my lock button is broken. It will not come on at all when i plug in the charger. Can someone please help and tell me if there is anyway i can power it back on myself?

My iPhone 5 won't stay powered down.

I am able to power down my iPhone 5, by sliding the red slider. But then about 30 seconds later, it powers back up by itself.  I've already done the Sleep/Snooze button and the Home button together for 10 seconds, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

iPhone 4 battery drain when powered off

Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iPhone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

Wifi greyed out on Iphone 4s

All of a sudden I lost my wifi signal....Checked out the settings and the WiFi is off and unable to turn it back on....i have powered down the phone...i have done a full restore and the wifi switched remains greyed out....any suggestions?

There was a wrong buy ,  an app called mobile selling platform. For  travel agents to do their flight booking thro ipad .  . This happened by mistake , as normally when u download any app it would ask for the password , but some how this time it did not and the down loaded happened . I tried stopping the down load by putting off the power button , but still did not work . Hence this situation. I tried reporting a problem thro the link in the invoice , but to no success .error is reported . I need a refund and reversal . As I have of no use of the apps . I  am no travel agent and tried calling the India office but was told that they had closed for the day . So then I posted this query on the communities to seek help in sorting this issue .....need help .

Outgoing calls iPhone 4S

Hello, I've had my iPhone 4S since July 2012 and am currently on a 2 year contract with EE in the UK. I've been having a problem for about a week now that came to my attention about last Friday.  Basically whenever I dial a number and someone picks up the phone and I begin talking, nobody can hear me? They won't hear me say anything and will simply hang up, I've recalled this happening to several people but I wasn't sure if there was a genuine fix or whether it merited getting a new handset? I've considered taking to direct to EE because the nearest Apple Store is in Manchester, and I only want to travel there if I have good reason to. Is there any known fix for this? i have tried resetting my phone by holding both buttons but have yet to do a full restore (Last resort) Just wondering if anyone knows? -Matt

Battery life-iphone 4

Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity.  After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours.  I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery?  My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart.  I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode.  However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore".  On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9.  I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.  Same results on both computers.  She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children.  This phone has not been jailbroken.  Any help would be sooooo appreciated!  Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

iPhone apps not opening-have tried all usual fixes

A few days ago I got my iPhone unlocked from my provider (Telstra) as I am about to travel and wanted to put a country specific sim in it. Since then no non-Apple apps have worked.I have tried (many times) to :- 1. restore from a previous backup (plus multiple syncs) and using different backups2. delete an app and reinstall it3. download a new free app (and when that didn't work I deleted it and retried installing it)4. sign in and out of the app store on the iphone5. sign in and out of the app store on my iMac6. de-authorise and re-authorise my iMac7. wipe the iPhone clean and start with a fresh install8. And reset the device too many times. Nothing I have found on any site has worked. I thought the wipe the phone clean would have done it but it hasn't.I have wasted about 20 hours trying to get this thing working again. If I wasn't going on vacation tomorrow I would be at my provider getting them to fix their mess but I can't. Can anyone help? Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car

My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta).  Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck?  I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

Using UK purchased Unlocked iPhone 5 in Germany

I am about to buy an unlocked iPhone 5 direct from Apple here in the UK, which will be pay-as-you-go, and I want to know if I can use a service provider here in the UK for most of the time, but when I travel to Germany (about twice a month) will I be able to swap out the UK SIM and insert a comparable one whilst in Germany, then swap back when I return home?  As far as I can tell from Apple's web site info: (http://store.apple.com/uk/buy/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone5) "...About the unlocked iPhone.Unlocked iPhone isn't tied to one network, so you have the freedom to choose any supported GSM network worldwide. My iPhone 4s is not charging.  Last few days it was eating up the battery life quicker than usual.  Tried doing all the power up deals, turning off then on, even a restore.  It is now completely powered off and not turning on even when plugged in.  I'm out of ideas.  A little help please!Thanks

We have been having trouble with our iPhone 4. It will just die. I researched the web and was able to find the information to restart it by pushing both buttons. This resets it, but does not last. I did a complete reset on the phone then updated it, but it continues to turn off and has to be restarted. It is out of warranty, any help would be great.

I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using Maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? Vertical Grey lines iPhone 5

I dropped my iPhone from waist height flat onto the back (I have a zoogue case on it), and now grey vertical lines appear down the left side of the screen. I have powered off holding the home/power button, but nothing changed. I can't swipe to unlock it, so I can't type in my password in order to back it up over the cloud/my computer before resetting it. Has this happened to anyone? Suggestions? Home fixes? Or am I helpless?

IPhone 4S stopped reading S card after 6 months

I have iPhone 4S it has a H2o SIM card that's worked for about 6 months no problem then one day it said SIM card failure I powered phone on/off once and started working again. Two weeks later it took 3-4 times of me cycling power on/off and removing SIM card and reinstalling it in order to get it to work. Then a week later it did same thing but took even longer. Now it won't read at all and I thought it was SIM card so I went and bought a new SIM card but no change, I looked online for help and even tried to put tape on tray/card like someone said but no change(if I even putting the tape in right place. I tried several different ways) Nothing seems to work. My phone was manufactured between 19-25 of March 2012 so hopefully I can get warranty but not original owner so not sure. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this? Why hasn't Apple fixed this problem since its been happening for a long time

Verizon iPhone 5-UNLOCKED

There is an article today indicated that the Associated Press has discovered that the iPhone 5 from Verizon Wireless is unlocked and will work with an AT&T sim on the AT&T Network.  The article did not state if the phone will also work on other networks.  A Verizon spokesperson has verified that indeed their version of the iPhone 5 is unlocked.

The only 4G LTE carrier is EE. They recommend you use an unlocked iPhone 5 (model# A1429 GSM), but I don't wish to purchase a new phone for such a short duration. So can I use a unlocked  iPhone 5 (model# A1429 CDMA) on EE's network or not?

FYI guys. I powered down my phone for a couple hours, then went back to the App Store. It had a fifth update, but this time it allowed me to complete my updates. Dunno if that helps you guys.

As stated, iphone4S is the smartest phone available. I lost my iphone4S recently and the person who took it, immediately powered it off. I signed in icloud and put my phone in stollen mode using Find My Phone utility which is still pending. I got the sim blocked and reported to police. They will deal it in their own way. My question is: are there other methods to trace my phone?

I have a 5 and a 4s. Both on Sprint. In many places I travel, the 5 will not receive or send cell data when the 4s will. I have enjoyed this in New Orleans, Chicago, Washington DC, Miami and Jacksonville FL.  It does not occur in Houston where both phones function as expected. Is this a known  issue with the 5? If yes, is there a remedy under development?

I have been back to bluewater about my phone 5times due to faults. I had sim stuck in my 1st replacement then I had no silent mode on the 2nd and the 3rd phone I was dropping calls and the home button sticking. This still happens. I then went back after Xmas with the same fault and was told there is no fault and this was just software issues. I then asked how long my warranty was left and that I was not happy with this and they said not long about 2weeks I think this is now up. But I have had problems from day 1. I was told by a manager that the iPhone 4 was rubbish and now old and can't cope with the work load, I stated that the phone was less than 2months old and I had no problems with the original until I dropped it and smashed the screen. I have also since had a problem with the camera not working correctly. And now I have noticed that the sound does not work on text tone. And the vibration also doesn't work. So I am getting txt then not  realising. I have to travel 30miles there and back every time I take my phone into the shop to get told this is software, I think this is an excuse to not sort the problem. I need to bring this phone back because of sound. If you could please get back to me on this it would be great. Lloyd

How to turn on powered off iPhone without hardware buttons

I'm trying to turn on my iPhone.  It's powered off, and the lock button is broken.  I think it turns itself back on when charged from 0%, but it was at 100% before this occurred, so it would take forever to drain the battery. Is there a way to kick the iPhone into being powered on?

I cannot calls from my Iphone 5

It is strange what happens to me with my Iphobe 5.  I travel to another locality and can do calls but later I cannot do any more, already I have restarted and restored it and nothing.  The problem is this, because the telephone navigates in Internet with the mobile network and with network WiFi, receipt calls, sending and I receive messages but with it of the salient calls not that happens. I placed my SIM in another Iphone and it works perfectly, also place another SIM who is not mine and the same thing happens with the Iphone, I cannot do calls. Thank you.

Unable to connect to wireless Network Iphone 5

I just bought the Iphone 5 two days ago. I am having a lot of issues connecting to every other network but my own network at home At home I am using a N900 Cisco Router. The security settings on it are WPA2, My verizon carrier update is version 13.3 and I have updated to IO6.0.2. I have reset the phone to factory defualts, I have reset the network, I have powered off the phone and done everything I could to get them to work on this network.   Personal. Now I have been to my girlfriends parents and many other places that are public and even after double checking the password. the Iphone 5  From Trouble shooting: I have noticed that the Iphone 5 doesn't seem to like many security options on the routers. Even on my new router I tried several different security options and it seemed to like WPA2 the best. Othrwise I was getting major issues. The iphone would connect sometimes only to be slow and not connect. The wifi signal would keep being scanned and would go out and come back in. The signal strength also qould keep fluctuation even when near the router. My brothers same andriod device was doing the same thing. My brothers Iphone 5 was doing the same thing when using the different networks.  Apple there is a major problem here that needs to be addressed when refering to wifi. Considering most carriers now charge for data it is important that if I have access to all the wifi networks I can connect too. This is a major issue that needs to be resolved and looking at the forums it is not an isolated incident.  Recomendations: People who call in with this issue, need to have phones replaced if not able to patch, Since no patch exists at the moment, it would be prudent to offer people who are having trouble a credit towards their wireless bill by working with cell providers and to have apple issue a version of an RMA number. Until the issue is resolved. I have 17 days to return my phone to verizon and I am going to wait to hear back. My girlfriend is in the market for a new phone and we can't have issues with a wifi connection especially when charges are going to ensue if we go over our data. Plus the unavailability of a network in areas my cell provider is not able to help with is important. We as apple users need immediate attention to this matter and it is not a matter of how the phone scans for networks. It is an issue with connectivity and how it is communicating with certain encryptions with the routers. Fix need asap.  This issue is also not localized to the Iphone 5 as it is happening on the Ipad 4

Will Apple be able to tell I've replaced my back glass iPhone 4

I've had my iPhone 4 for around 3 weeks now and I absolutely adore it. It's my first ever iPhone and I'm so glad I decided to get one. About 4 days ago, I dropped my iPhone (caseless and screen protector-less) on my laminate flooring in the kitchen and it landed on its back. The sound of it hitting the floor made me cringe, and I was devastated to pick it up to find the back glass had cracked in a few places. It's not major, and the cracks are not deep so they're no danger of harming me during use of the phone. I need to get the back replaced - I can't stand it! But my closest Apple store is around 6 hours in car to travel to (the UK are very tight with Apple stores). I want to replace the back glass, I've seen how easy it is and after being experienced of dismantling my iPod touch a couple of years ago due to a constant loose wire on the battery I think that the removal and replacement is easy enough to do in spare time. But, will Apple be able to tell that I've replaced the glass? If I get a fault with my iPhone in the future thats covered by warranty, what are the chances of them checking the phone thorougly if I require a repair or replacement? I read in the Terms of Service that they don't recommend their customers opening up the back because YOU MAY CAUSE DAMAGE THAT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. It doesn't actually state that the removal of the back glass is uncovered by warranty.  Please help, I really need it. Please explain what you think I should do. Apologies for my 'essay'.

Why doesn't iPhone 5 US GSM work with Germany's biggest carrier

I bought an iPhone 5 16 GB during my travel to New York in December. The people at the Apple Retail Store at 5th Av assured me that the hardware will work with all major GSM carriers in Europe ... which now turned out not to be correct. Because now - back in Germany - I can not use the phone because it just does not connect with my carriere's Network (Deutsche Telekom). SIM has been cross checked in plenty of other devices (EU Version of iPhone 5 / US iPad Mini / EU iPad Mini) and it works perfect in those devices. Only in the US GSM iPhone 5 none of the tested Telekom Nano SIMs worked. What makes it even more strange is that a German o2 (Telefonica) nano SIM works in the iPhone. O2 ist Number 3 in der German market - Telekom is #1. Neither German Apple Support Team nor Telekom stuff were able to assist or come up with a solution - Has anybody here heard about this issue before? Am I really the first person on earth with this problem?  Thanks!

Intermittent lockup when powered iPhone 5

My IP5 intermittently locks up (frozen screen) when the charger cord is plugged in and the battery is charged to 100%.  At least, that's the only time I've noticed it.  As soon as I remove the charger cord, it works normally again.  Anyone else have this problem?  I'm wondering if this is a bug that Apple will have to address?

Iphone 5 hacked-about 30 emails sent out to what looks to be phishing website-TELUS customer

Woke up to find out my iphone had sent out about 30 emails to contacts (not my full contact list - guessing maybe the last 30 contacts that have been either received/sent via email).  The web site isn't one I ever remember accessing (which in iteself is weird).  http://dcrconsultores.com.br/pbolqlx.pho This is a fairly new phone acquired from my provider TELUS sent directly from TELUS during the inital shipment of iphone 5's last year. I am on the latest IOS 6.0.2....model MD295C....... Any suggestions on how to fix the problem Yes I have a window's PC.....but it was powered off last night when the emails went out from my iphone....also when I checked this morning there were no outgoing emails in Outllook.......

I left my iphone sitting on the dashboard of a taxi and forgot to lift it. As soon as I got out of the taxi, I remembered so I rang the taxi company to get it for me. I also rang the phone and it was turned off, which is strange as two minutes earlier it was on and it had a 80% battery life so I knew something was strange. Suprise suprise the taxi company never found it. I went on to icloud and put the phone (the device was called jacks iphone) in lost mode and tried to track it but it was offline so I could never find it. Now several weeks down the line I went back on to icloud and this mysterious device TonkhawiPhone7_ was in my list of devices. Its an iphone 4 as well. So could this be my iphone and the person who now has it has changed the name of the device? It doesn't appear to allow me to put it in lost mode for some reason. Can apple help me get my iphone back?  Thanks for reading
