i unfortunately purchased an iphone 5 only to find out wifi calling is not in it like most androids, any solutions?? (please don't tell me about skype or other wifi services) I am talking about a phone that just switches and calls out automatically on wifi for tmobile

 Hello! I live in Russia and love Apple very much, have many different products and never had any problems with them. And now I decided to buy a new Iphone 5 and wasn't lucky. I bought it on 3.05.2013 in normal shop, then turned out that wi-fi and bluetooth are not working and the phone eats battery very fast. Shop doesn't want take it back, official services don't want to repair it for free, because it was made for USA. I really don't know what to do:( To buy android? My iPhone 5 won't stay powered down.

I am able to power down my iPhone 5, by sliding the red slider. But then about 30 seconds later, it powers back up by itself.  I've already done the Sleep/Snooze button and the Home button together for 10 seconds, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

I got Iphone5 to give gift to my mom on motherday i bought it from online i have also proof of purchase i go to apple store to book an oppoitment in regent street but i find the guy who treat me very badly first he too my phone go inside the lab after 20 minutes he com back and ask me proof of purchase i showed him after he told me can you come tomrrow we will fix it it will take time i said to him keep my phone for fixation and give me one paper as a receipt after he replied me we will fix it now please wait for 20minutes i said ok after 20 minutes he came back and said we can not fix this because you dont have proof of purchase i said i show you early but he said we dont accept that we cant deal with you.It seems may i criminal the way he treat me or something else i am shocked because next to me there is a lady and she is attractive as well one of apple employe treat such a nice way i feel happy the way he treats him she brings her sister phone the Apple employe change her phone straight way but in my case they ignore me.I dont know what is wrong with me because the way he treats me just ignoring me...i book oppoitment as name of(sazzad ahmed) at regent street time was 8.50 i cant remember the name of your employe because i was shocked the way of him to treat me such a worse thing for me in my life.Every time we preffer apple product because of his warranty services.please do something for me i am lso feeling ashamed this phone was a gift .

I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue?  I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iPhones instead. I have Iphone 5 here in Oman. But there is no any option of Enable LTE in cellular settings. Why is it so? iPhone 4 battery drain when powered off

Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iPhone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

iPhone 5 Frequently Crashes to Apple Logo and Screen Lock

I have an iPhone 5 64 GB running iOS 6.1.4 on AT&T. Over the past ~ three days, have noted that the iPhone randomly "crashes".  Could be when I am using an app.  Could be when I am making a phone call.  Could be when it is simply connected to the power cord and haven't touched it at all. The cycle is as follows: Screen suddenly goes blankThe white Apple logo (which typicaly appears during boot-up) appears for 3 - 5 secondsI hear the "chirp" that normally sounds at the end of boot-upThe iPhone lock lock screen then appears Sometimes, when the phone emerges from lock screen, the brightness is about half of what it was prior. I have not been able to isolate this behavior to a specific set of circumstances.  When it occurs during a phone call, the call is interrupted / other party is silenced, but if I swipe at lock screen, the call resumes (the other party notes that I went silent during duration). I have re-started / re-booted the iPhone 15 times.  I have cleared all apps from the cache.  I have disabled all notifications and location services.  I have done a Reset All Settings on iPhone and restored from iCloud.  I have done a Restore from iTunes.  The problem continues. I would say that this crash cycle occurs about every 30 - 60 minutes.  As noted, many times when I'm not even touching / using the iPhone. Have also noted that when not connected to power supply, the iPhone is quite warm, and battery drain is at an accelerated rate of 3x to 4x of "normal", worse than prior iOS 6 related battery issues.  Have also tried all the usual battery saving tricks - wifi is off, GPS is off, EQ is off, etc. Any thoughts before I head to the Genius Bar? Thanks! TCF

My phone discharges very quickly. I turned off location services (except Find my phone) and notifications (except phone alerts, message alert, reminders & calendars). I even put it on 4G instead of LTE. Does anyone have any suggestions? Help! Leslie

Would Apple still be willing to replace my iPhone 5

Hi, I purchased an iPhone 5 back in February from an Apple store. Worked absolutely fine until now, where some software issue are appearing; The battery drains ridiculously fast even when features are disabled (i.e. location services, 3G when not needed), and also the home button some time has a lag when exiting apps. This has been bothering me now, but there is a slight blemish on the phone near the earphone jack... would Apple dismiss a replacement and ask for a charge, even though it's 3 months old?

I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. Wifi greyed out on Iphone 4s

All of a sudden I lost my wifi signal....Checked out the settings and the WiFi is off and unable to turn it back on....i have powered down the phone...i have done a full restore and the wifi switched remains greyed out....any suggestions?

I find that the location services symbol is always solid gray next to my Find My Iphone tab in settings, indicating that an outside source is using the find my Iphone app to pin point my location.  Is there anyway to determine who/what is tracking my iphone and from where?

iPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls

Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!!   ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

Battery life-iphone 4

Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity.  After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours.  I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery?  My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart.  I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode.  However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore".  On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9.  I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.  Same results on both computers.  She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children.  This phone has not been jailbroken.  Any help would be sooooo appreciated!  Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car

My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta).  Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck?  I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

weird apple iphone 5 warranty policy in Saudi Arabia makes practically all Iphone s out of warranty

I had never faced any need for warranty repairs or any such thing previously.  My luck with the Iphone 5 was not the same. Just 5 Months and my Sleep/Wake button just refuses to work. But the Horror was when i reached the Zain telecom store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I was told by them that Apple has refused to take Any Iphone exibiting Scuffing or Scratches as this renders the iphone out of warranty. It just Dosnt make any Sense when Senior Apple SVP for Marketting Phill Schiller Him self on 25 Septeber 2012 in an email to an apple user have acknowledged that this kind of scuffing is natural to any aluminium product. I would like some one from Apple to Respond to this issue of mine and give me a solution. The worst part is there no authorised service in the country. Iphone 4 hardware data recovery

I ahave an Iphone 4 that belongs to my brother, he was involved in a crash a few days ago and lost his wife, They had just went and spent the day taking pictures with his iphone 4.. The phone worked when we got it but it doesnt now, wont turn on, wont register in itunes cant do anything.... I cant loose these pictures so if there is any advice please let me know. Compass don't allow true north iPhone 4S

Hi I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 The Compass app that comes with the OS will  allow me to display a heading in magnetic north but not in true north.  The true north option  is grayed out.  The magnetic heading displayed is accurate.  I have location services turned on and compass calibration turned on too. Compass displays my correct LAT & LON.  Magnetic and true north options working before. I tried powering the phone off and back on several times.Sometimes Compass allow me to select the true north option, but when i click done the app switches to magnetic north itself. Anyone have seen this?Tanks a lot.

I have a macbook pro running Lion. When I try to pair it with my iphone 5 I sometimes get a successfull pairing then errors. Other times I get"The device does not have the necessary services" on my mac. What an I missing?

So many problems with my iPhone 5

I bought my i phone 5 in US and took it back home (outside India). My i phone gets too hot while speaking and some times when kept idle. Further, while charging the phone, the i phone body shoots electric currant. Third, despite switching off location services and using minimal apps, my phone battery gets drained in less then 3 hours. Fourth, when i make or receive a call, the other side cant hear me for a couple of initial seconds. Then it works. Its not even 4 months since i bought my i phone.   I dont know if my i phone has international warranty. I phone folks back home dont seem to have any clue. Please help.  Also, is it possible for apple US to instruct apple India to replace my phone.  this is really upsetting after spending so much.

Location services Won t Turn Off iPhone 3G

I have an app Shop Kick and for some reason today the location services on the app will not shutoff (I have the location arrow on the top right and when I go to settings location servies the arrow is purple next to shop kick app).  I have had this app now for 2 years and the location service has never continued to run on the app.  I tried doing to double home screen tap and killed the app but it according to my phone it's still using location service even after I killed the app.  I then tried to turn off/on my phone but still even after powering on/off it's still claiming to use location service.  What's going on?

Location services icon always on even with no apps running iPhone 4

Noticed last night for the first time; as long as LS are turned on, the icon is apprearing in the corner -- even if no apps are running.  Done multiple resets and memory cleaning, as well as turning off every app in the quick-start bar, but the arrow icon is stil there.  No new apps. We're in the middle of moving, so until I get my computer set up in my new place I can't do an iTunes sync to see if that solves it. Anyone else ever have this?  Any suggestions?

Lost iphone

Hi, Yesterday I lost my iphone 5 which I bought 3 months back... I filled a police complaint, but i am not very hopeful with them. As Indian police will never make a move to find a cell phone. Anyways, Fortunately the "find my iphone" app was there in the phone and the location services were enabled with data. I tried to find it out from icloud.com portal but cell seems to be offline. And on calling the cell it is switched off. The only thing which I did not do in my iphone was to set a passcode. I am not sure how does the app behaves if some one restarts the phone. Is it possible for the thief to erase all data despite the app being active on the phone? Is it possible for the thief to use the phone by reseting it to factory setting without me getting location of the phone? I saw in one of the youtube tutorials that the phone will switch on and it ill try to find the data network, and if it finds data then it will send me intimation and blocks the cell. however, what is the scenario if the thief dont use the data and put on the phone? Or if he uses a SIM that does not have data connection? Can they reuse my phone. Can I do anything to prevent them using my iphone. I am trying to get my phone's IMEI number on tracking but dont know if it works before they reprogram my cell.( if at all they have so much brain). Please share your comments, views and suggestions and let me know the answers to the questions which I have asked. Thanks Abhishek Sinha

Problem with onoffsleep button on iphone 5 bought in Dubai UAE from telecom operator DU.

I bought my iphone 5 from "du" official telecom operator in UAE dubai since almost 3 weeks with a two years data plan. The on/ off / sleep button started to have a problem, i have to press hard on it to operate it and there is no mechanical click sound. What shall i do in this case? There is no apple store in uae, only apple authorized sales shops. Can they replace the device? Or should du replace it?

We have been having trouble with our iPhone 4. It will just die. I researched the web and was able to find the information to restart it by pushing both buttons. This resets it, but does not last. I did a complete reset on the phone then updated it, but it continues to turn off and has to be restarted. It is out of warranty, any help would be great.

Searching No Signal iPhone 4

I am having a searching/ no signal error on my Iphone4. I havent been able to get service for three days.  I have done everything I can read about on this site. I have turned airplane mode on and off multiple times. I have restarted my phone multiple times. I have done a hard reset on my phone (by holding screen lock and home button) multiple times. I have reset network settings multiple times. I have reset all settings multiple times. I have completely restored my phone multiple times turning location services both on and off during reboot. I have turned 3g on and off. I have taken my case off. I have put another sim card from my friends Iphone and it does the same thing. I have also put my sim card in my friends phone and it worked fine. That tells me it isnt a sim card problem. I contacted Att and they told me it was an Apple hardware/software problem. Does any one have any way I can resolve this issue. Please Help meeeee!! Everything else in my phone works, and I would rather not have to buy a new phone. Thank You!!

iOS 6.1.3 battery drain iPhone 4S

Hello all, After upgrading to ios 6.1.2 i started to experience battery drain.I was losing like 5-6% every 5 minutes in the Settings app.During my test I had everything off and the brightness set to low (i already tried the obvious solutions like turning off bluetooth, 3g, fetching mail, turning off location services, resetting the phone, restore as new, taking out my SIM, airplane mode, turning wifi off, the battery is in good shape). This way i could get around 4/5h of usage So, today i decided to upgrade to 6.1.3 and was hoping to see a change.However, the problem still continued. the only thing that i could do at this moment is to let the battery run out completelyand recharge till 100%. Yet, I'm sure this won't solve the problem at all since i already tried this on the first and second phone without any satisfying result.This is my 2nd iphone 4s, handed the first one in after experiencing this battery drain for weeks, and im kinda starting to lose faith in Apple's ability after having read tons of threads on this forum and wasting 3/4 weeks trying to solve this issue. After reading this, do you think it's time for me to go and replace the phone again?

Dead Pixel iPhone 5

I have recently bought my iphone 5 ( black ) 2 weeks ago and found a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. Am living in the UAE. So I was wondering does any one have any idea if I return back to Axiom telecom will they give me a new one ? and will I be able to exchange it for the white one ? or is it just unsignificant?

I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using Maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? Gamecenter error connecting to online services on call of duty black ops zombies for iOS. iPhone 3G

So I got this new app 3 months ago called Black ops call of duty : zombies. And I LOVE it!! But every time I try to join an online game, wether it be map vote, single map, 2-4 players, restarting my phone... What happens is it takes me to the gamecenter connect page, where it connects me with another player, but after a few seconds, it takes me into the multiplayer lobby, and then pulls up a message saying "connecting to online services" and it does that for a minute before saying "error joining room" and makes me quit the online game, leaving the other person kicked off the server because the other person (me) left or was kicked, I do NOT want to jailbreak my iPhone for this problem, and I am very experienced with iPhones and other electronics, both apple and Microsoft, if there is anyone who knows how I can fix this problem WITHOUT jail breaking my phone or paying money.. (Maybe ill pay money, it depends...) then Please tell me! It has done this to me EVERYTIME for the past 3 months, and still does... So please help!

i was talking on my ip5 and my signals were low so i ended the call. after 15 min all my signals were gone and it started searching, i took my sim out and it still says searching. i took the sim out and out it into my other phone and it works.i tried all this:-turn iphone off and onturn aiplain mode on and offreset network settingreset location services tried putting my sim again but still says searching.!!PLEASE NEED HELP ASAP!!

Battery problems iPhone 4S

iPhone doesn't show charge more than 1%, however working longer then expecting at this amount of battery charge. I was playing several games for about 30 min., captured 5 min. video, watched few youtube videos, everything with turned on wi-fi, bluetooth, location services, etc. What logically means nothing wrong with the actual battery capacity, something wrong with the software. Due to this problem iPhone doesn't turn on, as it probably believe it have low charge, only after several hour plugged to charger (about 4-5) it goes on working again.  Things done: Hard reset (many, maybe too many times)Sofware restore P.S. Before software restore, iPhone was turning on quicker then after restore.  Model: iPhone 4S, 16GB (A1387)Software version: Latest iOS

Vertical Grey lines iPhone 5

I dropped my iPhone from waist height flat onto the back (I have a zoogue case on it), and now grey vertical lines appear down the left side of the screen. I have powered off holding the home/power button, but nothing changed. I can't swipe to unlock it, so I can't type in my password in order to back it up over the cloud/my computer before resetting it. Has this happened to anyone? Suggestions? Home fixes? Or am I helpless?

Possible ios6.1.2 battery fix for iPhone iPhone 5

I done this last night and already seen a huge increase in battery standby time Goto settings / privacy / location services / scroll to bottom of page to system services /Turn off everything apart from mobile network search and time zone , Since 7am till now 9:45 am I've lost 6% battery with some usage . Hope this helps and works for a lot of you
