iPhone 5 Lock Button Not Working

The lock button on my iPhone 5 has stopped working... I don't live near an Apple store, and my free 90-day AppleCare deal is up.  I would like to avoid paying money for a one-time incident to use AppleCare, so is there a way for me to send in my iPhone in instead of visiting a store?  Or are there other options at all?  Thanks so much for your help in advance!

my iphone 4s volume isn't working

My iPhone 4S volume isn't working. No sound when playing music. No ring or text message sound. If I try to turn volume up for ringer on side, the box appears, but no bar to show volume up or down. If I do a test ring in settings it works though. Silent switch is in the correct position. I tried a hard reboot (ignored the red slider). It worked a minute ago but then stopped again. It seems like it might have the problem when I'm trying to play music. Thanks! 

my iPhone 5 has NO SOUND

My iphone was fine up until a few hours ago. Now the sound has stopped completely. It does not ring, alert me for texts, play music, or anything. I made sure that my phone is not on silent or vibrate, have restarted my phone several times, and have even reset the settings on my phone. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

My friend is on a class trip to Germany. He has been texting me on his ipod, through wifi, with a texting app called text free. I have an iPhone with unlimited texting. We have not been texting through iMessage, just SMS, but he is sending them from his ipod. Will I be charged gobs of money for "international texting" or is it part of my data plan since he is using wifi? HELP!

iPhone 4s drains fully charged battery within 1 hour after it accidentally plugged into an ipad 3 charger fix

My fully charged iPhone 4s used to last enough for 1 day. Today, I accidentally plugged iPhone into an iPad 3 charger for about 2 hours, then I noticed that it is getting abnormally hot. After this incident, the phone drains battery by decreasing 1% of the battery every minute. I went to see Apple technical support, who tested and said for certain that the problem was the battery (after assuring me that it should be fine to charge iPhone 4s with iPad 3 charger!). After charging me a hefty fee, I left the store, and iphone 4s still drains battery like before. Can my phone be fixed without requiring me to get a new phone? Can I get my money back from Apple techincal support, who gave me a wrong diagosis of my phone?

Playback error on YouTube app iPhone 3G

The YouTube app on my iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.2, opens and when I search for any videos, the search results also show up just fine. However, when I play a video, the screen goes black and reads playback error!! This is getting on my nerves.... PLEASE HELP!! And please reply with solutions only.

My iPhone 5 wont play music through my headphones.

When playing music through the headphones that were provided with my phone, I would hear a crackling noise. Then it would shut off and pause on my phone. When I press play it doesn't play until I wiggle the hpeadphone jack. I put my headphones into my computer and It worked perfectly fine. So I deduced that it was a problem with my headphone port on my iPhone. Any suggestions? Also I just got this yesturday so its in warranty.

iPhone 4S Multitouch doest work properly while in charge

it is just recently when i noticed that my iPhone 4S doest play so nice with muti touch especially to pinch to zoom on either pictures, ibooks, and webpages,,, when I do multitouch,, the screen just go wild and the images shakes, and worst, the screen doest respond totally in multitouch,, i have no problem in one finger navigations like tap to zoom etc,, it is just the multitouch while in charge.... I have no problem when the phone is not charging it runs smoothly... what could be the problem?? also I notices that after i juiced up the battery a while (after 45mins) the problem on the multitouch seems to disappear, but when you reconnect it again it persist... is there anyone experienced the same? and what would be the solution... apple refuses to accept my complaint because when i brought it to apple store it behaves normally even while in charge,, im using the supplied charger...

4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iPhone 4

Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all.  So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?

iPhone won't Charge iPhone 5

Okay so i had problems with my iPhone earlier. It would power off randomly when I was or wasnt using it. And i also charged it when I had 30% but on the top right corner for the battery icon, where its suppose to show ' charging ' it showed Fully charged. and after it died, I plugged it back in with it saying its charging. The symbol with a low red battery with a charging sign. It stayed on that symbol for more than 12 hours and never turned on to the lock screen. And if i take it out of charge, it completely shuts off.But when i plug it back in , it has the apple symbol from when you turn it back on after you powered it off. It did that symbol repeatedly. Please help. The problem: Won't charge or turn on to lock screen  Is there anyway I can do it besides taking it to Apple? Thanks (: I don't think I backed up anything, but I maybe did and I have lots of things on my phone. So is there any other solutions that I can use besides restoring it?

When making call I can t hear person I am calling but they can hear me. How I fix this problem iPhone

Hey guys, I can play music and hear it just fine, with or without headphones. When I press on the keypad I can hear the noise it makes, I can hear calls with my headphones plugged in, or when the speaker option is on, however, unless this happens, I can't hear the person I am on the phone with. I've tried restarting, resetting, earasing all content, and restoring it with iTunes and that didn't work. I've tried cleaning the ports with a toothbrush, or pressing gently on the microphone and that didn't work.I've tried calling with the headphone on, and taking them off in the middle of the call and that didn't work either. I am currently outside of the US so I can't go to an Apple store, so I am wondering if any of you guys have been succesful at solving this problem. Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. I have problem with my iphone4, the speaker volume of my iphone is decreased dnt know how but when i play songs and also ringtones to output audio sounds very low.  Although the speaker volume is set to maximum but still the output is not accordingly. Speaker volume is to small. Please help me.

Home button lagging up to hours iPhone 5

Last night my Home button just stopped working. So i started using the AssistiveTouch, then when i was sending a text, then my phone started to use the home button by itself. Like all my clicks had been queued up. I'm talking hours afterwards. Then for a bit, the button worked like it should. But after i put it to sleepmode, the same thing happened.And just now, i playing Candy crush(lol!) it just started again. I couldn't play because it kept going using the home button by itself. Starting voice control etc etc.. I have tried resetting rebooting the phone, I have tried to reset the phone and I have tried to recalibrate the home button. I mean, I could live with a  few seconds delays, but 10 hours? Nope  Any advice is appreciated, otherwise i'll guess I have to go to the closest store.

My iPhone will not play any sounds, except for phones calls and my ringer. The volume will not work; when I press them the volume icon pops up on the screen, the volume won't change and the volume bar doesn't move on the screen. I was just listening to music when I dropped my iphone 4s on to my floor. (It has an otterbox on it). After I picked it up, nothing would play through the headphones. I tried rebooting it, cleaning the headphone jack and I'm going to try to restore it. If this doesnt work any suggestions?

Hi All - I sent an sms using my iphone 5 - It is PAYG and had no money in it. (stupidly)  It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money)  Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS. Any ideas? Many Thanks!

How I fix my iPhone 4

My friend's dad got a new iPhone and gave her his old one. She had it for awhile and then one day it turned off and wouldn't turn back on. She gave it to me because she decided it wasn't worth her time and now I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. I did some research and tried a couple different things and so far none of them have worked. I tried holding the home and lock buttons, plugging it in, and many others. I would take it to the apple store but I'm worried the issue will cost money to fix. Any suggestions before I take it in? (It has not suffered from any water damage or been dropped, that I know of)

I don't really know if this is the correct place to post this but well..I've been using the standard Iphone 5 headphones for a while now until recently they stopped working as they should, won't play/pause using the button thingy on them. Kind Attention Mr. Jonathan Ive and Team ,  I bought my Iphone 5 with mobile carrier in singapore last december .  Earlier I used Iphone 4/4s /Ipad and now I phone 5 . I am big addict of apple products , so i went for Iphone 5  Iphone 4s design was amazing with a glassy feel and no chances of scratches on to its design . But I dont feel the same in iphone 5  I am a Mechancial Design Engineer - Design is basically to relate with Customer User Interface and easeness .  But day -day usage of my Iphone 5 is frustrating because the No of white scractches to its side is going on increasing .  Am i suppose to use case always ?  in that case I would have gone for some low end mobiles where nothing happen even i put it down many times . I keep it so safe and now I am in a big frustration on getting Iphone 5 . very bad feel like losing value of money  I kindly request Mr.Johnathan Ive and concern Manufacturing dept to revert me on my issue .  Is this the design and manufacturing capability of APPLE ?  Regardsprabakar

Okay so i hate ios version 6.1.3 want to downgrade but you people over at Apple should realize that its our phone/device lets us do what we want to it! Can t find my audibook in itunes. iPhone 3G

I just bought an audibook off of itunes.  It was my first purchase from the itunes store.  I paid for it,  downloaded it, synced it ot my iphone.  The itunes library clearly showed the audiobook listed on my phone when I plug it into my computer.  However, I can't figure out how to actually play the book on the phone.  When I go to "audiobooks" on my itunes app is just brings up the store.  When I got to "more > purchased" I get a list of music, movies, and tv shows which all ready as empty.  When I refind the audibook in the store it lists it as "downloaded" but doesn't have anything on the page about actually accessing it.

So I dropped my iphone in water.

I let it sit in rice/grits for a very long time. After leaving it in the rice overnight it worked fine for a few hours than it just shut off that day. I tried turning it on but nothing so I plugged it in and it turned on but then it glitched and kept just turning it off. So I plugged it in the computer and and did the recovery mode for it because it wouldn't turn on at all anymore even with the charger. But now after I did the recovery mode it'll only turn on a little bit, like it will only show the white apple for a slight bit then shut off, then it will just constantly repeat. I took it off the charger thinking that it might be bad for the battery and put it in rice again but still the same results. Any suggestions on what else to do or what could be wrong with it? Do you think I just have a bad battery and need to replace that? I'm trying to avoid spending any money or better yet having someone else look at it.

I've been through 17 iphone 5 chargers in past 3 months. Could problem be with my phone and not chargers

I've always believed that the problems have been with my chargers. The original charger broke so I bought just a cheap one from ebay, this one broke so I bought another cheap one and so on. I then found out a special chip apple have in the new iPhone 5 chargers so I believed all the problems must have been the chargers so I went to the apple shop and bought a brand new charger for £15, a few days later this also broke. So I went back and bought another one not thinking anything of it, this new one has broke again. I'm now starting to think that maybe the problem could be with my phone and not the chargers? I'm just sick of spending so much money on phone chargers that only last a few days.

I backed up my phone to the computer before I left to go to the Apple Store. I had my Iphone replaced due to it being shattered. I went back home to restore my phone from my previous back up, underneath my choice of having it being a new Iphone or having it restored it said "Today at 4:10". After I restorred my phone only half of my apps were transferred. I very frustrated because I spent money on most of the new apps from my own money (Im 16). Is there any way I could get my old info & apps back that I had on my previous Iphone?

I have an iPhone 5 right side middle of lock button has stopped working

I have a 16gb black iPhone 5 that I got on a contract in January. I noticed that the lock button began to play up and both sides weren't functioning very well. Well now the right side of the lock button and the middle has completely stopped working and only the side that is working ok is the left side - it feels to me like the lock button is stuck or has sunken in? If I take it to an Apple store, will they fix it for me there and then or will they give me a new phone and if they give me a new phone will it be in the same colour or can I choose? Many thanks!

So my iphone 5 lock button started to only work on the left side about 2 months ago. My nearest apple store is quite far away so o decided to cope with the issue. But not the button does not work at all, it has no click spund and is just broken all together. If i travel down to my nearest apple store will i get a replacement? I do not expect to pay this amount of money for the phone for the button not to work just months later (especially when I look after it) I have heard a lot of people have had the same problem. Battery Drain issue while recording video Iphone 5

Iphone 5 that I've had for less than a year seems to have horrible battery life. I'm mainly on wifi all day long with very strong signal. Most of my 8-10 hr day is occassionally checking my hotmail or exchange email.  My Time since last charge currently at 43%: usage is 3hrs and 34 minutes, and standby time of 9 hours and 35 minutes.  The strangest issue I'm having is when I record video. I'll usually record 2-3GB worth of video (over 8-10 videos) in a day depending on what I'm uploading to youtube. I'll record a bunch of video, and look at the battery life. It will drop down to 2-3% after recording, and sometimes even shut the phone all the way off. Press the power button and it blinks at you to plug it in. I'll go plug it in, and when it powers back on, it will be anywhere from 20-50% power (1 minute after plugging it in).  Yesterday it was down to 3%, so I powered it off, then back on again, and it jumped back up to 54% I've done a wipe and reset to factory and restore from iCloud and that doesn't seem to have done much.  I've drained the battery all the way dead, and let it recharge fully mulitple times, no help their either. I'm using the factory Iphone charging cable and wall charger.  Has anyone seen this before? Do I have a faulty battery? I've recorded hundreds of videos with my iphone 4 and never had issues with excessive drain while recording, and the same on my wife's 4S..Thanks

Hi Everyone, My iPhone 4, bought in France summer 2010 when it first released, isn't working properly. There are a few things that are very disturbing: - The speakers on the bottom (where the home-button is) doesn't work properly. If I play music, I hear sound coming out, but with creaks and all. - When I call someone, the receiver can't hear me, so the inner microphone doesn't work.- When the battery has still 11% left, it sometimes just dies suddenly. Does anyone recognize (one of) these problems?My plan is to go make an appointment with the Aplle Store and hopefully I can get an new iPhone for a certain amount of money, because I think it's a mistake in the system. Thank you!

I threw up on my iPhone Please Help

Okay, so I threw up on my iPhone a few days ago while going shopping and when I got home to put It in rice I forgot to take the Sim card out until my sister took it out for me a few hours later (I didn't know how to take it out). Anyways Its not working right now but my dad took it to play N' Trade and to these IT guys at his work. But every time I plug in to see if it might work the flashlight turns on , I have this glimmer of hope it might still work. Do you think it might still work? I didn't even have it for a year and the "one year warrenty" doesn't cover puking on your iPhone.. Please Help!!!

PC - Windows 7Itunes 11.0.2.26IPhone 5 fully updatedIPhone 4 fully updatedIpad 2 fully updated. The Remote App will not stay connected to Itunes.  When I close and reopen itunes, Itunes shows up and works fine with all iphones/ipad.  However, after a period of time the connection is lost and it will not reconnect until I restart Itunes.  I have an apple TV3 that works flawlessly with the Remote App.  The Remote App worked fine with Itunes until I recently installed a new Netgear R6300 router.  I have worked through all of the suggested troubleshooting items here: support.apple.com/kb/TS1741 with no success.  Logically, it would appear that the problem is coming from the router.  I have engaged the netgear customer service who thus far has not come up with a solution.  Does anyone have any suggestions?   I use the remote app to play itunes from PC on my airplay enable home stereo and I am greatly frustrated and saddened that this no longer works properly.  It's probably my favorite function of all my apple profucts. Thank you for reading this!

i can buy any apps from app store but i cant buy any in-game offer for my game. it is said "cant connect to itunes store". i did restart my iphone5 couple of times and disable my wifi then enable again and uninstall then re-install my game. but i still cant connect to itunes store as it is said in-game. the game i play is Dragon Bane. Just curious, the prob is my iphone5 or the itunes store server in my country (indonesia) or the game server itself? plz help me. ty.
