My iPhone 5 won't stay powered down.

I am able to power down my iPhone 5, by sliding the red slider. But then about 30 seconds later, it powers back up by itself.  I've already done the Sleep/Snooze button and the Home button together for 10 seconds, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

iPhone 4 battery drain when powered off

Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iPhone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

Wifi greyed out on Iphone 4s

All of a sudden I lost my wifi signal....Checked out the settings and the WiFi is off and unable to turn it back on....i have powered down the phone...i have done a full restore and the wifi switched remains greyed out....any suggestions?

My phone slipped out of my hand landing face down on my kitchen floor. the screen is now cracked. nothing else is wrong with my phone and I want to only replace the screen. I don't see a need to get another phone if mine is fine (besides the big crack on the front.) I want to know if I take my phone to an apple store.. will/ can they replace the screen only? I'm not worried about price and I know warranty doesn't cover accidental damage.

Battery life-iphone 4

Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity.  After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours.  I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery?  My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart.  I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode.  However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore".  On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9.  I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.  Same results on both computers.  She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children.  This phone has not been jailbroken.  Any help would be sooooo appreciated!  Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car

My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta).  Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck?  I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

I bought a full price Unlocked iPhone 5 from Apple back in January to use on Straight Talk. I had some issues with data on Straight Talk not being reliable and I had to keep turning data off and on again to get a connection. Now that TMobile is supporting the iPhone at the same price as Straight Talk I figured i'd give them a try - after all that's what having an unlocked phone with no contrat is all about right? I'm a free agent. So i signed up however i don't get 3G anyhere, and my 4G coverage is spotty (talking HSPA+ 4G not LTE). This is because my $599 unlocked phone doesn't have AWS support.  My question is why won't Apple release an update that will allow my identical hardware to work the way the one would if i bought it from TMobile? It's the same A1428 Model, the ony difference is the software.  I really don't have to have to sell my older A1428 to buy a new A1428 from TMobile just to get it to work when it should have anyway.  Can someone respond as to what Apple plans to do about this? Thanks,Andrew

iPhone 5 battery getting stuck at 100

I recently got an iPhone 5 16GB as a gift, and I love it. I have only charged it 5 times and the lowest I've let the battery get so far is 14%. However the one problem i've been having is that two of the five total times i've charged it, the battery percentage will be stuck at 100% for about 2-3 hours even after moderate to heavy use before it starts to show that it's going down. The only conclusion I have for this is that the lowest I've let the battery get is 14% and not completely drained yet. Would charging the phone to 100% then letting it get so low that it turns itself off fix this issue?

Replacement of iPhone 4

I purchased an I Phone 4 in Dec 2012. Since then the phone has been replaced 3 times due to variuos issues like screen flickering, applications crashing etc. However, the issue still remains. The said issue has been escalated by the concerned person at the Authorised Service Station of Apple to higher authorities.  In a situation like this where an issue is not resolved even after replacing the device 3 times, whether Apple will refund the purchase price of the phone or will upgrade me to the latest technology available in the Market ie an I Phone 5?

Huge data usage on iOS 6.1.2 with carrier COSMOTE in Greece on iPhone 5

I recently purchased a new iPhone 5 and it seems that I have managed to chew up 6,5 GB of Cellular Data in 7 days of owning it, while spending 80% of my time in WiFi locations (at home or in my office). I usually use around 500MB - 750 MB per month so I am extremely concerned. I contacted my carrier but they said that as I have only recently been added to my price plan they cannot see how much data I have really used until my first bill is printed...In addition their 80% usage warning when you have consumed more than 80% of your data plan doesnt work either because as they stated the system gets confused?!?!. They also told me to switch off Cellular Data as the iPhone 5 will use it when on Wifi...Whats the story on iPhone 5 using cellular data even when on Wifi????? Considering I am about to incur a 450 euro bill for the extra data usage, I would like to know if this a software fault (i.e. iCloud synching being stupid and using cellular data instead of wifi), a carrier settings fault, or simply a Cellular Data counter fault. For other users of the iPhone 5 phone on COSMOTE in Greece using LTE BEWARE! As they have no idea what is going on with this.

Iphone 5 issues

I switched from an Iphone 4S to a 5 yesterday.  My contacts did not all switch.  The volume keeps resetting to the lowest amount.  When I set the volume to high, it does not set Siri's to high.  I can barely hear Siri.  I used ITUNES for a backup on my 4S.  Most of my apps wouldn't transfer, it said not enough room.  All my songs are greyed out and not playable.  I am using the same ITUNES account.  This is a NIGHTMARE.  All my email settings will not stay.  The programs keep asking for the passwords, even though they have been entered multiple times.  I read the email, then the next time I open the email account it prompts for a password.   I HATE THIS PHONE.

iPhone 4s not charging

My iPhone 4s is not charging.  Last few days it was eating up the battery life quicker than usual.  Tried doing all the power up deals, turning off then on, even a restore.  It is now completely powered off and not turning on even when plugged in.  I'm out of ideas.  A little help please!Thanks

if T-MOBILE version of iPhone 5 will be sold in apple stores

I don't mean the factory unlocked a1428 version that'll be sold by apple at retail price. I mean the t-mobile version that'll be locked to t-mobile only as an you'll put down the $99 and pay the $20 EIP. Will apple sell the tmo iPhone 5 just like they do for Verizon AT&amp;T and Sprint? The reason I ask is because it would be much more convenient for me to pick it up from Apple than to sign up with t-mobile and wait for it to arrive in the mail for god knows how long.

After complete restore of iPhone 4 it still keeps turning off and has to be powered up again

We have been having trouble with our iPhone 4. It will just die. I researched the web and was able to find the information to restart it by pushing both buttons. This resets it, but does not last. I did a complete reset on the phone then updated it, but it continues to turn off and has to be restarted. It is out of warranty, any help would be great.

If want to replace the device should come with the original receipt?Or they will see that it was purchased from them by its serial number? the reception is under the name of my uncle.   The most important thing about it: I have 280 songs on my iphone, if I replace the iphone they can pass the songs to the new new phone?   If I decide to replace the iphone, I will get a new device out of the box and the same model (verizon a1429 CDMA) and size (32 GB)?The iPhone is brand new or refurbished? I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using Maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? Vertical Grey lines iPhone 5

I dropped my iPhone from waist height flat onto the back (I have a zoogue case on it), and now grey vertical lines appear down the left side of the screen. I have powered off holding the home/power button, but nothing changed. I can't swipe to unlock it, so I can't type in my password in order to back it up over the cloud/my computer before resetting it. Has this happened to anyone? Suggestions? Home fixes? Or am I helpless?

iPhone 5 replacement

On February 11th I purchased the black/slate iPhone 5 from an APPLE Authorized Reseller (iStore Tunisia) at full retail price. It's been three weeks now. Yesterday after removing the case for the first time ever(i didn't use it without a case) I noticed some scuffs and dents on the lower part, they are really ugly! So I called iStore, they advised me to go the nearest iStore. So after 1 hour of waiting in line they told that they need to contact Apple first before replacing my iPhone because they cannot do anything without contacting Apple. They told me that me they will call me after two days. What if Apple denies the replacement? Can I get a full refund since I am still within 30 days of its purchase? I am really not satisfied this iPhone 5:( sorry for my English.

IPhone 4S stopped reading S card after 6 months

I have iPhone 4S it has a H2o SIM card that's worked for about 6 months no problem then one day it said SIM card failure I powered phone on/off once and started working again. Two weeks later it took 3-4 times of me cycling power on/off and removing SIM card and reinstalling it in order to get it to work. Then a week later it did same thing but took even longer. Now it won't read at all and I thought it was SIM card so I went and bought a new SIM card but no change, I looked online for help and even tried to put tape on tray/card like someone said but no change(if I even putting the tape in right place. I tried several different ways) Nothing seems to work. My phone was manufactured between 19-25 of March 2012 so hopefully I can get warranty but not original owner so not sure. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this? Why hasn't Apple fixed this problem since its been happening for a long time

Hello everyone.. I'm very confused here; I own an iPhone 5 which I have on O2. I bought it outright from the Apple Store in Belfast and just transferred my Business Sim to a Nano Sim and use that in the phone. I am going to the USA soon (Miami) to be a leader at a Summer Camp for 9 weeks and need to use my iPhone while I'm over there. I have been researching AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verzion all for prices, but I'm still very confused.. I want to call back to the UK for a low price, as well as use the web for WhatsApp and FB messenger etc. Will not be texting back to the UK. I need to know the answer to these questions: 1. When I put my O2 sim into my iPhone (which was bought sim free) does it lock to O2?2. What carriers will support the UK iPhone 5 for LTE? Would like to try this feature out as Northern Ireland hasn't been hit with this yet (probaby never will until 2040 ffs) I understand Verzion will not work as it is CDMA.3. What carrier would be most suited for using in Miami? 4. Verizon iPhone 5-UNLOCKED

There is an article today indicated that the Associated Press has discovered that the iPhone 5 from Verizon Wireless is unlocked and will work with an AT&T sim on the AT&T Network.  The article did not state if the phone will also work on other networks.  A Verizon spokesperson has verified that indeed their version of the iPhone 5 is unlocked.

Or I can buy a Nexus 4 for half the price and deprive Apple of any more of my business. I say this typing on my iPad, and knowing that my wife has my iphone 4 (it was hers which was damaged), and my kids both have iPod touch's. To be fair, I thought the standard out of warranty repair/replacement price was good value given that most times it will be for accidental damage and not for failure of Apple parts, and the response to the service request was prompt and efficient. However, their massively different price for devices repaired by people other than Apple has put me right off buying another iPhone. The price exceeds the cost of a new device from Apple Store. If they had simply said, sorry we cannot repair or replace your device because it has non Apple parts, then I would say fair enough. Why even offer to replace for a price higher than a new phone complete with accessories and a 12 month warranty?

iOS 6.1.2 Battery Drain on iPhone 5

Updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.2 a few hours ago, and I feel that my iPhone 5's battery life has gotten ALOT worse than when it was on iOS 6.1.1 (although battery life was pretty bad there too). Phone was 100% after a full battery charge, 95% after recieving a 3minute call (WiFi & cellular off). Played Subway Surfers for a few minutes, battery went down from 95% to 89%. Phone is now currently on 71% with ---- USAGE: 35 minutes STANDBY:  1hour -NOTIFICATIONS / PUSH NOTIFICATIONS ARE ALL OFF EXCEPT FOR MESSAGING AND PHONE CALLS-iCLOUD OFF-BRIGHTNESS AT ITS lowest-NO ACCOUNTS SYNCED ON MAIL Also, phone is a bit warm. This hasn't happened with the previous iOS updates. I updated through iTunes by the way.

As stated, iphone4S is the smartest phone available. I lost my iphone4S recently and the person who took it, immediately powered it off. I signed in icloud and put my phone in stollen mode using Find My Phone utility which is still pending. I got the sim blocked and reported to police. They will deal it in their own way. My question is: are there other methods to trace my phone?

hello, i've got a iphone 4 32gb and i cant use it ... my carrier name says 'searching' all the time and it doesn't change to 'no sim' or something. i can't activate it because it says i have to connect it to itunes. if i do that , itunes says that my phone is damaged. It all happened when i asked a company to fix my broken iphone glass. he doesn't know what happened and says that i've to buy a new one. i just got this phone a year. I tried to restore it in DFU-mode , Restore - mode a million times. i called apple and they charge a price of €160,- to fix it . i'm not gonna pay that because of the costs from my broken glass and broken back-glass and some other costs=€240,- . if i repair it by Apple, i can also buy a new one.
