HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iPhone 5 and it says 'iPhone disabled please connect to iTunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have iTunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded iTunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen. Is there any way I can get my photos back? Can Apple get them back for me?Please help

I bought a Belkin Charge + Sync Dock for my iPhone 5 (the one that includes the cable) in February. It was a flimsy, crappy device from the start, but I figured I might as well use it.Four months have passed and now the lightning port on my iPhone 5 has started to deteriorate very quickly and noticibly. I would only charge my phone with the dock and I wouldn't use the lightning cable that came with my phone or any other cord for that matter. I went on a trip so I took my lightning cable with me and it would only charge at an odd angle. I also noticed the plug was very loose inside the port. This became true with the dock as well. The dock was flimsy and wobbly at the start and now would only charge at a very odd angle too. Any cord I use barely works, and my phone does not charge at night anymore. I know it is not a problem with my cords, because I tried my friend's cords and they also did not work. I know the dock ruined my port because that was the only thing I charged with for four months.Who should I go to for help? Should I call Belkin and ask for a return? Would my Apple 1-year limited warranty (I do not have AppleCare) cover a new phone?
Hello, and thank you for reading. I have an iPhone 4s, and my primary email account is Gmail. I can receive emails, but I can't send them. When I try to click on the little pen icon to write an email, the app crashes/quits and I'm sent back to the homescreen. I saw that most people who can't send email receive an error message, but I've never received an error message, the app just stops. I checked in the Settings, and every thing seems to be in order (I'm not extremely tech savvy, so I could be wrong). I started to experience this problem maybe a week ago. Also, my Messages app can be a little sketchy sometimes too. When I'm connected to Wifi and trying to send an iMessage, the message won't send and there will be a little red exclamation point next to the message. My Messages app works sometimes, but do you all think that the problems are linked somehow? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm out of the office a lot, and it's an inconvinecne that I can't send emails while I'm on the road. I mean, that's why we buy an iPhone, right? Hope everyone is having a splendid day and thanks again for reading,Ashley
Hello, this is my first time on a forum like this so I don't really know what to expect but basically the reason why I am here today is because of the fact that my iPhone's battery is excuse my french, dog s***. I'm 16 years old almost 17 and I haven't had any problems with my other iPhone's before (iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S) I charge it at 100% in the morning, so I leave it all night from 1% the previous night and then I get up and without even using it, it's at 95% already. Now the thing you're going to say is have you tried: Turning off 3G/LTE - YESTurning off Wi-Fi - YESBluetooth - YESLocation Service's - YESPush Email - YESMessing with the brightness - YESRe-setting the phone several times (LOL) - YES I honestly don't see why it is draining this much, I have like 10 apps and all of them are ones that don't send much data, nor recieve much. You know the usual Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc etc. If someone could possibly help me I will be the happiest man alive!!! Thanks-Ed
ok so if you have any iphone and your power is or isnt working and youve tried plugging it in and tried to use diffrent chargercables and tried anything thing else. then this is your last resortokay.i had a problem with mine and it just randomly shut off so i wasited the whole day to wait for the battery to diebut seemed like there was no prosses so i figured out this crazy idea.if you putyour phone in the freezer for about 10 min and then take it out then put it on the charger it should work.what putting your phone in the freezer does is drains the battery super fast so all you have to do when its over is charger it
Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all. So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?
Okay so i had problems with my iPhone earlier. It would power off randomly when I was or wasnt using it. And i also charged it when I had 30% but on the top right corner for the battery icon, where its suppose to show ' charging ' it showed Fully charged. and after it died, I plugged it back in with it saying its charging. The symbol with a low red battery with a charging sign. It stayed on that symbol for more than 12 hours and never turned on to the lock screen. And if i take it out of charge, it completely shuts off.But when i plug it back in , it has the apple symbol from when you turn it back on after you powered it off. It did that symbol repeatedly. Please help. The problem: Won't charge or turn on to lock screen Is there anyway I can do it besides taking it to Apple? Thanks (: I don't think I backed up anything, but I maybe did and I have lots of things on my phone. So is there any other solutions that I can use besides restoring it?
I just recemntly exhcnaged a damaged iphone for a new one. the old one was lectricuted and could never come back on. I had backup up some photos on a wondows computer but not all. WHen this happened i was under the inpression that atleast some of the infromation was being stored on the icloud but when i restored from iclouyd the only thing i got back was my contacts and a few old calender netires. no photos and no video. HELP!!!!!
Last night my Home button just stopped working. So i started using the AssistiveTouch, then when i was sending a text, then my phone started to use the home button by itself. Like all my clicks had been queued up. I'm talking hours afterwards. Then for a bit, the button worked like it should. But after i put it to sleepmode, the same thing happened. And just now, i playing Candy crush(lol!) it just started again. I couldn't play because it kept going using the home button by itself. Starting voice control etc etc.. I have tried resetting rebooting the phone, I have tried to reset the phone and I have tried to recalibrate the home button. I mean, I could live with a few seconds delays, but 10 hours? Nope Any advice is appreciated, otherwise i'll guess I have to go to the closest store.
I have been having problems with my iphone turning off at anywhere from 80-100%, in fact I haven't seen it anywhere near 50%or less in about 2-3 months. Sometimes it would turn back on if I press the power button or home and power button, and would show the same battery % as when it shut off, but would die right away again till I charged it. Sometimes it wouldn't come back on till I put it on the charger. Last night I took it off the charger when it was 100% and went to use an app right awayand it died still at 100%. I put it right back on the charger and expected it to turn right back on or at least turn on in 15-20 min. It has been on the charger sonce last night and still has not come back on, and yes it shows the lightning bolt like it does whenever it is charging, and shows no battery power. I have tried pressing the power button both on and off the charger, tried pressing the home and power button for 15 seconds, and even tried longer both off and on the charger, I have tried changing cords and the adapter, and different outlets, I have tried plugging it into the computer and it again shows the lightning bolt and low battery thing and itunes and the computer doesn't even acknowledge that it is plugged in. I'm confused as to what else I can try. Of course it dies after 1 year warranty is over.
When I use the search box in the iPhone e-mail program my results are displayed for a few seconds, but then they disappear as if there are no results for my search. I can repeat the search, but the same thing happens. I am using the most up to date IOS and the problem does not manifest itself on my iPad or Mac. Any help would be appreciated.
I need a lightening male to lightening female cable. Do they exist?
Okay, so today I leant over to pick up my ruler which I'd dropped and my iPhone slipped out of my pocket. Ironically, I'd put it in the inside pocket so it wouldn't slip out, and I've had it for 6 months and have been very careful with it until today. Needless to say I am absolutely gutted about this, and am hoping to replace the back of it. Looking online, some people claim that if I took it to an Apple store, they would either replace it for free or I would have to pay £29, however I'm not sure whether Apple have changed their policy about free first time repairs since the release of the iPhone 5/4S. I'm willing to pay because it was my own fault, but I wanted to know how much it would be before waltzing into an Apple store. One other thing, would I have to tell my Mum? Because she recently told off my younger sister for smashing the screen of her iPod and used me as an example of being careful, and I know she'd be devastated by this too. (Not to mention how much she'd freak out about it!) I don't want to replace the back myself with cheaper parts from eBay because I know it'll damage my warranty if I do (I'm not sure whether smashing the screen comes under the warranty, I don't think it will.).
I'm planning on upgrading to an iPhone 5 soon. It will be the same Apple ID, same phone number, same carrier, etc. The only thing changing is the actual phone, from a Verizon (CDMA) iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. Will I be able to have my old iMessage history on my new iPhone?
Hi all i had my new iphone 5 stolen back in Febuary, i only bought the phone in december and was gutted when it was stolen, it was stolen of my kitchen table as i had a group of people round that night and am ashamed to say i got very drunk and the last thing i can remember is the phone being nearyly flat and i fell asleep on settee when i woke the next day 3 of the group had left and my phone was gone, i have find my iphone on it and set up to erase iphone when it signs up to wifi or 3g, as of yet there is nothing it still offline, is there any way i can locate it as i thought it had GPS
I retrieved it very quickly pulled it out to sync, which it did... It's working fine. Should I do the rice thing? Is it likely a goner even though it's working fine, or have I dodged a bullet? thanks!
i lose my iphone it is stolen, and i didnt turn on find my iphone , i want to delet every thing in the database on the iPhone (pictures ,vedios,....) what should i do ? please help me
I have had about 34 notes on the Notes application. Now they are gone. I just backed up the phone from the latest data on the computer and when I checked the Iphone, the data was there in Notes. Then it just disappeared as if I had deleted the data myself. Can't figure out what I have changed that would cause the loss of information. Please help.

Hello there! i'm just wondering will my iphone 4s will get fixed? cause ive been to a stores lately and they tried to fix my iphone and it get error and error all over again 1611 and -21 They tried replacing the battery but nothing happens still on error and they said it's a hardware problem, i tried different fixers already like 3 stores here in philippines, but the last they said it's 50/50 and the hardest thing that ever happend to an iphone, i think they replaced the main memory of the iphone and still doesn't work. they said id just sell the phone to them like 500 pesos. can any one help me? suggestion? - i bought the phone on 2nd hand store in philippines at greenhills, i only used it for 1 month. and i notice when i turn it off, and turn it on the apple logo just light up and past and then apple logo again, then some times there was a blue words on the upper part like an error or something, and then the last time i restarted it, it never goes on. just the apple logo blinking.
The shutter will not open on my iphone camera. It works fine if I switch to the front-facing camera, but when I switch back to the rear camera the shutter is closed. The same thing happens in instagram. I have closed the camera app. I have done a reset. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or does it sound like a hardware problem? Thanks.
My Iphone 5 screen went bust. The funny thing was it did not go bust when the phone fell but after 5 months. And now apple is putting the blame on the me instead of replacing it, . this is ridiculous for a phone that costs a bomb.
I purchased my iPhone 2 weeks ago and it has caused me major problems. I have no signal connectivity at home and intermittent signal connectivity everywhere else. I have complained too my carrier and they cannot fix the problem as the problem seems to be apple. I have restored the software on my phone many times, I have reset network settings, I have played around with the aeroplane setting, the only thing that seems to help a bit is if I turn 3G off ??? Nobody can tell me why this helps?I have a Genius Bar appointment with an apple store this Saturday and I hope they sort this problem out as this issue is seriously affecting my business..... Does anyone know why I'm having the above issues ?
My iphone was stolen a few days ago (3), The thing is that my feeling of revenge cannot be quite, so I beg, if you can, give me an answer for my situation...
To begin with my phone was underwater about 65'. Miraculously from what I can tell the only thing broken is the screen, which is entirely black, and the phone seems to be in recovery mode. I've tried every program I can find online to bypass recovery mode for both windows and Mac but no luck. I don't care about the phone I just want my honeymoon pictures off of it. Any suggestions at all would be appreciated .Thanks
About 4 months ago, my Apple store kindly replaced my cracked iphone with a new one. the problem is, this new iphone has some issues. It worked fine until after about a month when the phone ran out of battery and when i charged it i discovered the wifi "on/off" button was "greyed out" as people refer to it as being. I serched for hours and tried many solutions to no luck. I then contacted Apple support and the person still didnt know how to fix it. this is a big issue because there are many things i need wifi for most importantly being the ICloud back up. Anyways, i accedentally let the battery drain and the wifi option was back! i quickly backed up my phone and i thought that was a one time thing. however, the phone wasnt picking up any signal from my home wifi so i turned off the phone and turned it back on (seeing if it would hopefully come back on) only to find the wifi was "greyed out" again. this time i did everything and it didint work until about last week. last week the wifi lasted for one day and now it doesnt pick any wifi signal from anything or anywhere. tried connecting it to itunes to see if anything wuld happen and a pop-up told me that my iphone doesnt work on itunes.. it also told me to restore it but i dont want to restore it in case the wifi greys out again..... ...here is the main problem i guess haha... how can i back up my current phone if i cannot get wifi to pick up.I am going to go to the Apple store sometime soon and i should have my back up ready for when i get the newly working phone. but i cant back up without wifi and im hesitant to turn off the phone because i dont want it to grey out again becuase i wouldnt know how to get it working again. Or should i not worry about backing it up but just focus on getting the new phone and just use the last back up from about a month and a half ago. Thank you for reading. any advice would be appreciated. sorry for this post being so everywhere also lol
When I download a new app and try to log into it though Facebook, it tells me that "Your Facebook settings prevent us from working. Open your settings app, go to the Facebook section and turn ON (the app)." When I attempt to do that, it tells me that "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password for (my name)." I'm assuming that it's asking for my Facebook password, so when I enter that, it tells me that my username or password is incorrect. I've tried my Facebook password (which I know is correct because I logged in and out of it on my laptop just to make sure), and I tried my Apple ID password as well which didn't work either. The only other thing that I can think of is that my username is incorrectly entered somewhere, but it doesn't give me the opportunity to enter my username, all it asks for is my password. This is extremely frustrating because it's preventing me from using multiple apps. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
I have had my iPhone 4S for barely ten months. In the past, I have had small problems that would either fix themselves or just stop occurring, such as freezing issues. But recently my phone was drained to a 1% and after realizing this I quickly plugged it into a car charger. About 15 minutes later, I noticed it had switched to an 100% battery charge. I blew it off and the next time I glanced at my phone it was back to 1%, so I turned it off thinking it would reset it and I would leave it to charge. I came back to the phone maybe 30 minutes later to power it up and it displayed the red sliver of battery with a lightning bolt underneath it. It stayed like this for a good while and eventually came on. Since then it has been stuck on this 1% battery charge. One last thing I noticed was that the bolt inside of the battery on the top right hand corner sometimes shows a plug, saying its fully charged. I'd rather not turn it off because I'm not sure it will come back on. What do you guys suggest I do?
Hi, I'm an owner of a relatively new iPhone 4S and just out of the blue it's stopped charging last night. I plugged the iPhone into my laptop last night- as per usual- and for some reason it showed only the 'plug' symbol and not the lightning bolt.I didn't worry too much hoping it would charge anyway. This morning the percentage has stayed at 30, occasionally dwindling down to 29 then back up to 31. I've changed the USB, the output and tried plugging and unplugging numerous times and now am at a loss! The phone is still recognised by my computer and syncs whenever plugged in.I've done a hard reset soft reset and now all that's left is to restore to factory settings, but I doubt it'll do anything! Please could someone help! Thanks, Rebecca
I have an iphone 5 with ATT and sometimes (very randomly) when making a call, it does not make a ringing sound (like it is not connecting), but it has connected and the other person can hear me but I can't hear them at all. When I do try and say "hello" to see if they can hear me all I hear is my own voice echoing back. Other times the phone conncts and rings immediately and I know then that the call is working. I actually got it to do this while on the phone on my landline with applecare. I did all of the resets with Apple and they determined it was a hardware problem and I received a new phone. It seemed to be ok, but three days after activating it, the same thing happened. There does not seem to be any common factor. It happens with landlines, cell phones, inside, outside and it does not always do it to the same number twice. It is a complete crap shoot. I have noticed that is it much more likely to happen if I go through "contacts" or "recents" to make the call. It has also happened a few times when using Siri to call. I never know until I don't hear the ringing sound that the call is messed up. This is awful when trying to contact a business and you have to keep calling them back. Anyone else?
Hi MistyYoung, The troubleshooting steps outlined below should help you with your Wi-Fi connection: iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections Basic troubleshooting Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware. For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. My iPhone 5 gives me a 3/5 on the signal scale but my other phone says it is 3/4 on the scale from the same provider. That probably is not so much of a problem but the thing is my iPhone tend to lose the signal more often when my other phone doesn't. Does it mean that something is wrong with my iPhone or my other phone just have a better antena than what iPhone have? Please advise. Thanks,
I have Cracked the screen and now it won't turn on. It is out of warranty and need to know what the best thing to do now is?
Hello, I am posting on behalf of someone else, He originally bought some language packs on his iPad for the app Word Lens, these are working fine. He then downloaded the app to his iPhone, signed in with the same iTunes account and tried to restore the language packs to his iPhone but it pops up saying that there have been no purchases on this account and then gets stuck in an infinite refresh loop. Only way to try to prompt it to download the language packs to the iPhone again is to delete and re-download the app but he get's the same issue, it pops up saying the same thing. Does anyone have any clues as to why this might be happening? (He is adament that he used the exact same account to download and purchase the language pack) Many thanks,Axel
I have an iPhone 4S IOS6.1.3not jailbroken the Bluetooth button is spinning for two days which would lead to disable wifi toggle ( become gray ) I restored it twice with no difference. Also I reset the settings and connection and still the same thing what should I do?
Iphone 5 that I've had for less than a year seems to have horrible battery life. I'm mainly on wifi all day long with very strong signal. Most of my 8-10 hr day is occassionally checking my hotmail or exchange email. My Time since last charge currently at 43%: usage is 3hrs and 34 minutes, and standby time of 9 hours and 35 minutes. The strangest issue I'm having is when I record video. I'll usually record 2-3GB worth of video (over 8-10 videos) in a day depending on what I'm uploading to youtube. I'll record a bunch of video, and look at the battery life. It will drop down to 2-3% after recording, and sometimes even shut the phone all the way off. Press the power button and it blinks at you to plug it in. I'll go plug it in, and when it powers back on, it will be anywhere from 20-50% power (1 minute after plugging it in). Yesterday it was down to 3%, so I powered it off, then back on again, and it jumped back up to 54% I've done a wipe and reset to factory and restore from iCloud and that doesn't seem to have done much. I've drained the battery all the way dead, and let it recharge fully mulitple times, no help their either. I'm using the factory Iphone charging cable and wall charger. Has anyone seen this before? Do I have a faulty battery? I've recorded hundreds of videos with my iphone 4 and never had issues with excessive drain while recording, and the same on my wife's 4S..Thanks
I have dropped my white iPhone 4S and the screen is totally smashed but works fine. My friend told me that when she dropped hers she went to apple and they replaced it for $100. I was just wondering if I went they could do the same thing
pls help my iphone 4 was on activation "required". i jailbroke it then it worked but some of the applications were crashing down, won't open. i tried a lot of tutorials and then error message 3194 came out. stucked in recovery mode, and then i use snowbreeze and then it worked!!!! but another problem came, i turned off my iphone then i switched it on again then it stucked in apple logo,.after doing some thing again 1604, 1600 bla bla bla came out..pls help me fix my iphone.
I am an apple user since an year now, i am a college going student i have a bugdet of 40 thousand and want to upgrade my phone so do you thing an i phone 4s is a good bet as the i phone 5 is too expensive
It doesn't take genuis to conclude that we have a muturity status in performance of most of the iPhone hardware (Camera ability, speed, reciption etc)but when it comes to battery Apple didn't do a great job other than optimizing the chips for lower power consumption(I know it's hard and complicated thing to do but the results are ineffecint.) Looking at other smartphone like Motorola droiod Max with 3000mah battery capacity with standad 20hours of talk time there is clear gap of Apple strategy when it comes to that. Frankly I ask what's the point of having a brilliant phone with half day life time, should smartphone always be complimented with on the go charger/external battery or worst a basic phone?
Hi every one I posted this same problem up a few months ago and i have tried everything that people had posted and i havent managed to fix the problem. So im just going to run through it again and hope someone might come through with something new that i havent tried so here goes this is the story. My iPhone 5 or iPad Mini used to connect to itunes fine but now have suddenly stopped for some reason. Im sure that the problem is something thats changed on my computer because it connects to an other laptop no problem so something isnt right. Ive tried pretty much everything on the apple site that people have recomended but was just woundering weather anyone knew anything else. I also have an iPod Nano but this has the old 30pin connector lead and heres the weird thing it connects no problem so why does the iphone and ipad not connect ?????? I have tried differnt leads and a connector which connects to my iphone then connects with a 30 pin connector and no luck . Any help would be very grateful Thanks
My iphone 4s is not charging anymore. But the strange thing is if I turn off the phone, it is charging without any issues. So the issue seems to be like it cannot charge when ios is loaded. I have tried to, 1. Reset the phone ( No luck) 2. Confirmed its not charging port/battery problem Also, when connected to pc, it says usb device cannot be recognized Please suggest what to do to fix it
I have no problem at all with my iPhone and I can play my games finely, until unexpectedly I tried to play a game but It doesn't start. The iPhone turn black in half second (temporary thing before the game loads), and it turn to the main screen. I thought it was just one of my games, but it also does the same thing in another games, whole of it. Not just the games, but also other downloaded applications (yes, all of it). I try to reset, but it still doesn't work. What such an Error does my iPhone cause?btw i use iPhone 4
I have just picked up on a 'thing' with the video playback on the iPhone 5. It seems that dynamic range compression and/or EQ is applied to the soundtrack of videos. I first noticed it when I was trying to watch a few concert films and noticed that not only was the sound horrendous but during the high volume scenes, it was distorting. I have tested the same movies on an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad which don't seem to have this problem/feature. Has anyone else noticed it? And even better yet, figured out a way to get rid of it? Additional thoughts: I have also noticed that when you play music through the loudspeaker, some form of dynamic range compression is also applied to the sound. Personally I think it sounds terrible but I can understand why Apple would have done this. However, it doesn't affect the headphone output signal, thank goodness, SO, I speculate that it could be a bug that when a video is played, the OS isn't recognising that the headphones are no longer a loudspeaker and not bypassing the audio signal, therefore applying the compression to the sound. Playing the video audio through Bluetooth headphones removes the compression and distortion of the sound track in videos, and that would have been the solution, but now videos no longer play in sync with audio through Bluetooth on the iPhone 5. (Grr.) Last thing, the new EQ 'Late Night' that adds compression and EQs the sound in the Music app and sounds possibly like the effect that is being applied to video audio output.
It all started when I took some pictures today, then after couple of photos, the Camera app crashes. Tried to open up the camera app again and attempted to take some photos but it crashes immediately again. Couple of seconds later I get this notification. Lots of it. Next thing I did is to hard restart my iPhone but although the notification appears again even though I don't take pictures now. It seems for me that this issue isn't influenced by the camera at all but more on iOS issue. From then on I keep getting this notification to the point whenever I wake my iPhone, I keep pressing the DISMISS button. This is really annoying and frustrating as it attempts to consume my load. For additional info:iPhone 4S 32GBiOS 6.1.3Not jailbrokeniPhone is not set for any 3G/data subscription, whatsoever. Just plainly for a pre-paid SIM for texting, and calls onlyTried to reset Network Settings, and hard resetCellular Data is turned OFFiCloud is only synced with Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Passbook, and Find My iPhoneMMS messaginf is turned OFFiMessage is turned on I strongly reckon this is an OS issue as it keeps to attempt to send a text message (of what it seems to be doing).Am I the only one experiencing this?Any suggestions for solutions? Thanks.
