My iphone 4 powered off by itself while i was using it. I know it didnt go dead, becuause it had 40% battery left, It will not charge, and my lock button is broken. It will not come on at all when i plug in the charger. Can someone please help and tell me if there is anyway i can power it back on myself?
iphone 4 randomly freezes-what hardware to swap
Good Afternoon, ive recently started up my own business fixing mobile phones - mostly cracked screens and chassis replacements. Just recently i thought id got a bargain on ebay regarding an iphone 4. It was described as working correctly, can make / receive calls and send texts etc but randomly locks up. Ive got the phone today, unfortunately its locked to the 3 network so ive got a micro sim on the way so I cant actually proceed further at this point. Although it did crash once on me when i tried to select language's etc - had to hold the home and power button down until it turned off. Ive read on the forums that this is a common fault, and can occur to any iphone - faulty or otherwise. And the main concensus seems to be to take it back to the store for a swap. My main question is - seeing how im likely to come across this fault again - is the fault software or hardware related? If its hardware related what circuit board is likely to be the culprit? If we could identify the problem then im sure I could just order the required part on ebay. The fact that apple havent recalled the iphone and that they will accept these faulty iphone's back and swap for new suggests to me its an easy fix - its just easier for the technicians to go in the store room and get a brand new one. Secondly ive just got another iphone 4 white - bought cheap as its totally dead. Tried a new battery and still nothing. Got a new dock / charging connector on the way - is it likely to be this at fault? Doesnt seem to be any sign of water damage, and it wasnt described as this on the ebay page. When id swapped the new battery over i tried to charge the phone ( to see if id fixed it ) and it got extremely hot - so i disconnected right away and left it to cool off. Whats likely to be the issue with that one? Thanks, and hope someone can help Adam
Iphone 5 won't record sound during video capture
Hi there. My iPhone 5 has been working perfectly for about 5 months then about a month ago I noticed that my camera was just recording a hissing sound (nothing else) during video capture. Voice memos record and play perfectly and everything else works as it should The strange thing is that if I insert my earphones then the camera will record sound even from far away but when I take them out again it just records a hissing sound. I've tried plugging the earphones in and out, hard reset, and restoring but I still have the same issue.surely the voice memo and camera use the same microphone? The only thing that seems to be wrong is that the phone camera records no sound without earphones plugged in Please somebody tell me there's an easy fix as we have no apple stores here so I would need to ship it off to be repaired if the need be.
My iPhone 5 won't stay powered down.
I am able to power down my iPhone 5, by sliding the red slider. But then about 30 seconds later, it powers back up by itself. I've already done the Sleep/Snooze button and the Home button together for 10 seconds, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?
Ringer not working iPhone 4S
When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone. I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

iPhone 4 battery drain when powered off
Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iPhone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

When you sign out it will let you enter a new email, (Apple ID) and (I hand already changed my ID on the Apple Store but not my password) . So I was able to use the same password. iphone 5 Broken screen
So here goes... I have broken the screen on my iphone 5, it is completly shot but i can plug it in to itunes. The problem is that i have a passcode on the iphone so i am unable to bacup the phone in itunes as i can not enter the passcode.Is there any way i can remotley access the phone and enter the passcode. I have a new iphone 5 and want to sinc it with the data on my old phone, If anyone can suggest a way around this i would be forever in their debt. I have no old bacup or icloud or the like. I also know i could get the old phone repaired but would rather not spend money on this old phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know im clutchinbg at straws.

light bleeding iPhone 5
Do not buy Apple product in Belgium, there is no support!!! So, here it goes: Three day ago I bought an iPhone 5, at a Mobistar shop in Belgium. 700 euros. Unfortunaly, it has a defective screen, light bleeding at the top of the screen. So I went back to the shop, to get an exchange. But no, they refused. They have to send it back to Apple for repair. It will take three weeks. But I can't stay 3 weeks without a phone. And I can't just pop the sim card into an old phone, either: it's a micro-sim, and the iPhone is the only one who uses that... Except maybe if I buy another new, top of the line phone... And I don't have the money to do that... So I call Apple, directly: "Did you buy it on our website? Sorry, nothing we can do. it possible to get replacement UK iPhone 5 while abroad
My iPhone 5 has a badly cracked display. As I'm out of the UK at the moment, I took it for a Genius Bar appointment in the USA. They told me it wasn't possible to get a replacement from them, and I would need to contact Apple in the UK to find out if I could get a replacement shipped to me. Before I spend money on expensive international phone calls, does anyone know if it's possible to do this? Are there any other ways I can get my screen fixed or phone replaced while I'm out of the UK?
Playback speed for IPhone 3GS-where it
Hi all, I have a few Audiobooks which I listen to on my IPhone 3GS a lot and I put a couple more and last night I downloaded them and now they have an echo which it didnt before. From what i have read I need to change the playback speed but from all the feedback I have seen online there is no icon on my phone at the bottom right corner I can touch to change it. I have just about tried everything with no luck. PLEASE is there anyone that can help me. I have already lost these books once and have spent a lot of money getting them back. I will very angry if I cant listen to this now. Many thanks and I would appreciate any assitance.
Iphone 5 trouble with charging please help
Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge. At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on. I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!! I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too. The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)
Iphone 5 charger keeps on breaking.
Over the past five months, I have purchased over five different charger cables for my iphone 5 which i bought new in December. For some reason, after months, weeks or even days, he latest charger stops working. Sometimes the phone is plugged in and it doesn't respond at all to the cable, other times, the cable only functions when in a certain position. I am so angry at this as I'm spending and will continue to spend a lot of money to charge my phone. Am I doing something wrong? (This was never an issue with my iphone 3 and the cable even worked when the connector head seemed half broken off). What should I do? And also, is anyone else having this issue, because if not, then it must be an issue with my actual phone, no?Thanks
Battery life-iphone 4
Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity. After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours. I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery? My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

Hello! I´m soo frustrated right now - it seems i can not get my new iphone 5 to work... I broke the screen my iphone 5 aproximatley 4 mounths ago, and bought a new screen on ebay. I bought this for over 300 dollars, and got a friend to fix it. (and paid him as well) He broke one of the thin wires when he was changing the screen, making the front camera and speaker useless. Except that, the phone worked just fine. Then he bought a new wire, installed that, and i got it back. But now, it wont work! When i start it just a picture of an USB cable towards an itunes brand appear... and i have litterally tried everything. No matter what I do, I can not fix it, or restore it - the error code 1611 or 1603 appears om my mac screen when I connect it to itunes, and I get no further than that. And Ive uptaded all the programs, tried holding in home and of/on-button, go into the "hosts" on my mac (if you dont understand what i ment by that, just ask) Can somebody please help me? Im cryin here, Ive used so much money on this and it does not work. Whats wrong with it? Ive tried every possible solution that appears on google, NOTHING works. I didn't bought the phone from Apple, but maybe I can send it in to them and I can get a new one? I dont expect that, but Ive would be in heaven

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart. I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode. However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore". On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9. I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac. Same results on both computers. She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children. This phone has not been jailbroken. Any help would be sooooo appreciated! Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

So once I got my iphone I didn't touch it till I got a case...Anyways, I had problems with my lock button as soon as I clicked it..It wasn't easy or smooth to press down it was always hard now I have to use my teeth to press it down to turn it on...Can I get it for free??I have insurance...Should I bring that up?Or should I try to get it for free since it wasnt my issue..Plus my cable is broken and my home button is slow to respond..I didn't do anything.I was just using it.That's all!

Recently my iPhone 4s stopped charging via the wall charger and my car charger, I have experimented with various cords and wall charging units, and it still does not charge. I recently took my iPhone to the Mall of America Apple Store and they said that the problem is with the device and since the device is out of warranty, I could use my upgrade and "upgrade" to the iPhone 4 for free, I could get a replacement 4s for $200, etc. However, since I am unemployed and my contract is almost up with Sprint, I do not want to spend that kind of money. The Sprint store says the problem is with the cords, but since I have tried multiple cords, I suspect the Apple Store is right. Has anyone here experienced this issue, if so were you able to fix and how did you?
Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car
My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta). Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck? I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

I have just upgraded to an iphone 5. I have the apps puchased list which i have used. But my games have been lost even though the app is there. I dont really know how to solve this can anyone help or suggest an answer ? I have spent money on some of these apps so im very dissapointed :-(
Wake and sleep button not working iPhone 5
Hi guys, I've used apple for 5 years now. Started with an Iphone 3GS and since then I could not use any other brand as a Cel Phone, and I tried, believe me I tried. I used an Iphone 4 for 3 years without having any problem, without having to even call Apple. Then, by the end of the last year I went to London for a trip. I bought an Iphone 5 and came back to my home country, that is Brazil...Used it for 4 months or so and it started having problems with the wake and sleep button, then I thought, "ok, apple is a worldwide company, they are reliable, that's the main reason for me to have bought it for so long and the phone still in warranty, they will trade it for me" so I called apple...For the first time in 5 years...And I did not get answered properly. Apple states that since I bought the Iphone in london, they warranty can only be used for trading the phone in london...I have no intentions of going to london this year, what meand I will lose my warranty and the money I spent with my Iphone. To clarify, I did go to Washington for a better support, but they stated the same...I called apple and they stated that the Iphone is broken and needs to be traded but it can only be done in london. An analyst called James Downs told me to call apple regent street that's the one where I bought the Iphone and when I called there for getting my money back because they are not providing the proper support for my iphone they state that I need to take the Iphone to the store... End of the story, I have a broken Iphone, I am frustrated with apple, because they are acting as they do not care for the costumer at all. In my point of view, they should escalate the problem, call the brazilian store and trade my phone or ship me a brand new one. I took the iphone to different stores in different countries that I have access and so far nothing. Apple does not care, my iphone is 4 months old and is already broken...If nothing is done I'll be very frustrated, I'll be at least ****** because it seems I'll not have my money back because the store states they will not do that even though an apple consultant says it and I have no way of taking the phone to the store. Please, can anybody from apple help me with that? I really want my phone or my money...If you can just ship me a new one I'll be ok with that..But you should do something, you are apple, not some other ****** company around the world, will you not honor your brand?

About three days ago my iPhone decided to display the incorrect time at first it was an easy fixjust correct it using the clock app-thingy, then it got worse, so I shut it down that worked and hasstayed that way and me and my iPhone became friends again.... UNTILI got home to charge it, I put it on the charger and it didn't take. I hooked it up to my original charger - nothingthe computer - nothinga friends charger - nothingbought a different offical charger - nothingshook it - nothingrestarted it - nothinglet the battery drain til it's dead and restarted it - nothingpunched it in the face - hospital visitbought it flowers and choclates - nothingwhispered sweet nothings into it's earpiece - nothingtook it back to where I bought it - nothing, was told to restart it by shutting it down for 10 mins then turning it back on - NOTHING. Frustrated, I go back to my friends house and attempted it one more time at her request, guest what - it worked, same charger as before but it worked. UNTILI get home and hooked it back up to my charger, my original charger, my computer - and got nothing ALL OVER AGAIN... Nothing seems to work with this thing, what's going on??
4 month old iPhone 5 with Applecare-Still Â179.99 to replace screen
Hi all, I have an iPhone 5 which is only 4 months old and has full Applecare on it. Unfortunatley I had a horse decide to tread on it and the whole screen has cracked! I've taken it to the Apple Store and they have replaced the whole phone for a new one. Thats brilliant except that even though i've paid extra for the Applecare and its only 120 days old, I still had to pay £179.99! From discussions it sounds like there is an option in the US of purchasing Applecare plus, which also has accidental damage, however surely the UK's applecare should have some kind of accidental damage allowance!? After all we all know how small the chances of a hardware fault occuring on an iPhone and that seems to be all thats covered with Applecare! I'd like to get other peoples views of this please. Don't get me wrong I agree that if you had a phone that was 6 months old or older, or you had decided not to pay a further £99 for Applecare, then i'd expect to have to pay to get the phone repaired/replaced, but it just seems such a waste of money getting Applecare when this is the most common problem thats bound to happen to your phone!
Cracked screen on brand new iPhone 5
I bought my new iPhone 5 through Optus and it was delivered Wednesday. I didn't get the extra Apple Care plan, and today, barely 3 days later there is a crack in the front glass!!!!! Can Apple fix this under the standard warranty or am I up for more money already??? It hasn't been dropped or bumped so not sure how the crack even got there? :(

I bought a iPhone 5 that turned out to be blocked. The seller listed the iPhone as faulty with no service so I thought it must be a fault. I have scratch on my iPhone 5 Glass-easy way to fix
Hi all, I have an iPhone 5 and somehow, I managed to get about .25 inch scratch on the front glass. I've had the phone for about six months and it's been pristine. I didn't buy a screen protector because of how Apple was touting the toughness of the Gorilla glass. Is there a way to have the glass repaired/filled without spending a mint? My iPhone 4 died and won't turn back on. It's been on charger for 17 hours.
Last night my phone went completely dead while I was doing something for school. I put it on the charger as soon as I got into the car, maybe 30 minutes after it went dead. It's been charging for 17 hours and still shows an empty battery with a flash underneath. I've tried everything. I've attempted a hard reset multiple times, the screen goes black for maybe two seconds and then the empty battery comes back. Tried restarting my computer while my phone was plugged into it. Tried pressing the home button while plugging it into my computer. My computer isn't recognizing it when I plug the phone in. I am desperate. I don't have the money to buy a new phone. Please help. It hasn't been dropped. No water damage. I've never broken an iPhone before.
How to get iPhone 5 2013 GSM model
So I had AT&T and bought the iPhone 5 from them, on contract, back on December 15 2012. I wanted to save money and have Unlimited Data so I paid an Early Termination Fee to cancel my contract, got my unlock from them, and moved to T-Mobile prepaid $60 plan/mo. So I get Edge coverage, or 3G wherever their reframed 1900 network is. BUT now T-Mobile has their own iPhone that is LTE-enabled, and has the 1700/2100 AWS bands, for 4G/LTE in most places! Can I get my model replaced with this model?? If so, how? It has the same model number as mine but people are referring to it as the "GSM 2013 model".
My lock button got stiff all of sudden iPhone 4
Oh so the lock button is barely pressable. I have to push extreme hard for the lock screen to turn on and off. Are there any easy solution? Or like options? I really hae no idea what to do. I blew on it to see if dubris was stopping it from working, but it didn't help :(

I was trying to recover a deleted text message and used Wondershare Dr. Fone to load previously deleted messages. I didn't find the message that I was looking for, but when I went back to my "desktop" - all my apps were rearranged and there was a photo I had set as the background 2 years ago. When I opened their program again to try and restore my desktop, I was prompted to purchase their software, which I cannot affort to do. Like many people, I rely on my phone almost as much as an extra appendange and am clueless as to how I can recover my icloud, apps, etc without spending any money. Do you have any suggestions. Hello,A few weeks ago the wifi stopped working on my iPhone 4s… it couldn’t find a wifi network and the times it could, it only worked for a few minutes. This problem occurred a few days after uploading iOs 6.1.2.So I went to the Apple store two weeks ago and they gave me a new cellphone for free (still was on warranty, otherwise it is $199 to replace an old device), because they thought the problem was my phone itself. At home, I was so happy to have a new phone and the wifi was working again without problems! I put my back-up on and started using it.Sunday, I uploaded iOs 6.1.3.Monday (one week after having my new iPhone) I lost my wifi connection again.On Wednesday, tired to have wifi connectivity issues, I reseted the network settings. When my phone turned on, the wifi option was grayed out and had been since then.Friday (today), I erased all content and settings. When my phone turned on, the first thing I did was to check at the wifi option: it still was grayed out (even if my phone was empty at a ‘factory reset’).I will have to go to the Apple store once again.I will lose money and time again (because going to the Apple store means an 2h45 bus ride to go/come back and yes, it is expensive).I hope the problem will be fixed this time, but I really don’t think so because the problem seems to be from iOs 6 (and its updates).Apple, I searched the web and found that I’m FAR from being the only customer with this connectivity problem. Well, this is the situation, iPhone 4S stops ringing and producing any audio FX only do vibrating alerts.No ring at incoming callsNo ring at incoming messagesNo sound in music player (but I have sound with inserted headphones plug)No sound at any appAnd Yes, I passed through "volume configuration", "side button", "do not disturb", "restore", "re-set" and all of the possible "common sense" options. Otherwise I would not be looking for a solution here, where people go to find solutions in the last place, when all other options have been exhausted. There is a lot of rumors about last "defective" iOS upgrades and many people reporting the same kind of problem: Our expensive apparatus stops producing sound. If I can't hear incoming calls it means it's not a phone anymore.Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't want to read "Build your own iPhone" book. I just want to know if is there a solution for this particular problem or not? If "yes", what I have to do? If "not" I want my money back. (well the last argument is not for you guys).

Charger spoiled iPhone 5
Hi, i have gotten my iPhone 5 for about 2 months, and just recently, after i did a full cycle charge, my charging wire spoiled. I know this because i tried to charge my phone with my friend's charger and it is aright. I don't want to spend more money on a new charger and my phone is still under warranty. Hi, I received new iphone5 cause my old iphone5 has problems.I had to send my old iphone5 back, but I couldnt. Cause Im in us military , I had urgent problem in my troops. So I had to go other state during 2 weeks and I just got back from other state. I really apologize that I couldnt sent it back. I knew if i dont send my old iphone back in 10 days, apple s gonna charge 680 dollars.Now I can send it back to apple my old iphone5.If I send it, and u guys get back, then can I get my holding money back?? iPhone 4s not charging
My iPhone 4s is not charging. Last few days it was eating up the battery life quicker than usual. Tried doing all the power up deals, turning off then on, even a restore. It is now completely powered off and not turning on even when plugged in. I'm out of ideas. A little help please!Thanks

After complete restore of iPhone 4 it still keeps turning off and has to be powered up again
We have been having trouble with our iPhone 4. It will just die. I researched the web and was able to find the information to restart it by pushing both buttons. This resets it, but does not last. I did a complete reset on the phone then updated it, but it continues to turn off and has to be restarted. It is out of warranty, any help would be great.
