Remote viewing andor controlling an iDevice screen iPhone 3G

Hello folks,  I am in a bit of a pickle! Short of you know what (have to keep the censors off me), is there any possibly way to remote view an iDevice screen on a Windows based computer? I am a eLearning/instructional designer and I have been tasked with creating eLearning courses on how to use our iDevice apps. But my dilemma is, how the heck do I capture the screens? Yes, I know about power/home but that isn't nearly practical, especially for capturing motion. I thought I could do it with the remarkable Teamviewer app but after speaking with their development team, it turns out that this has been an outstanding request to Apple. For quite some time, they have been requesting their customers ask Apple via feature request. It seems obvious that their must be a way because I have seen Apple iPhone instructional videos in the past. My iphone 4 powered off by itself while i was using it. I know it didnt go dead, becuause it had 40% battery left, It will not charge, and my lock button is broken. It will not come on at all when i plug in the charger. Can someone please help and tell me if there is anyway i can power it back on myself?

speaker not working iPhone 4S

All of the sudden my iPhone 4S speakers are giving problem. The sound comes and goes and the even I increase or decrease the volume, no volume control shows up.

My iPhone 5 won't stay powered down.

I am able to power down my iPhone 5, by sliding the red slider. But then about 30 seconds later, it powers back up by itself.  I've already done the Sleep/Snooze button and the Home button together for 10 seconds, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

iPhone 5-rattling phone second replacement coming

hi guys. i can see this is a common issue. i have heard a few different reasons about why this is happening. either it's the autofocus mechanism or the vibrate motor.whatever the reason, this should not be happening on a £600 piece of hardware. the quality control at apple is not what it used to be and when they are rushing to manufacture millions of devices to tight deadlines in china then this is a problem that was going to happen sooner or later.i am of the opinion that this is a fault with possibly more than 50% of all iphones manufactured to date and apple needs to do a product recall. it seems that they have told staff to not admit this as a fault to try and avoid just that.i got a replacement and it arrived, the rattle was slightly less noticable but definitely still there. i just ordered another replacement and will continue to keep doing so until i get a device that doesn't rattle.before anyone says that this is normal and it is SUPPOSED to rattle, that is BS. i have been to the apple store in brighton and tried the display models and even tried a few they had in the back after speaking with a staff member. out of the 12 phones i went through, 2 didnt rattle AT ALL. Now you tell me if that is normal and people should just put up with the substandard product that apple has churned out this time. I say NO, and the more people that actually make a stand, the quicker apple will be forced to spend some of their $600B on fixing this issue.

iPhone 4 battery drain when powered off

Lately I've been turning off my phone and when I turn it back on battery is drained. Yesterday I turned it off at 80% and when I turned it back on 3 hours later it was at 62%. Then today I turned it off at 50% and when I turned it back on it was at 32%! Does anyone know why my iPhone is losing battery even when it's completely powered off? I feel like it shouldn't be losing any battery at all

All of a sudden I lost my wifi signal....Checked out the settings and the WiFi is off and unable to turn it back on....i have powered down the phone...i have done a full restore and the wifi switched remains greyed out....any suggestions?

Battery life-iphone 4

Well I tried turning off the Bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity.  After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours.  I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery?  My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.

My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart.  I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode.  However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore".  On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9.  I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.  Same results on both computers.  She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children.  This phone has not been jailbroken.  Any help would be sooooo appreciated!  Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.

Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car

My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta).  Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck?  I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

Hi peoplesI have a badly behaving iphone 4 that I have put the virtual home button onto (assistive touch).The problem is that it randomly calls people, and voice control turns on whenever it feels like it also...! The only way I can get it to turn off is to plug into my imac, itunes and configure...Anyone had this problem and have a solution?

iPhone 4 semi white screen help

I bought my iPhone around August of last year, by december it was flickering.. asking my brother the tech geek what was wrong, he said it was probably the LCD shorting out and would probably die, but could last for months like that. By January, it was out, you can still see a change int he screen when you hit the home button and the home screen changed to the search screen... but i cant see anything else... it still works fine, i use voice control to call out.. and you can run your finger along the bottom of the screen to accept incoming calls.... ive even accidentally turned on apps and the like by touching the screen... Thinking apple wouldnt replace this, because they might assume i caused it.. my brother bought a new LCD/Screen for it... it hasnt worked.. so he took his own phone apart and placed my OLD screen/lcd to his.. it works fine on his phone.. what could be causing this white screen, considering its not the LCD.. and how can i fix this problem?? i REALLY dont want to replace a brand new phone..... again.

help!!! i have always been a fan of apple, had numerous iphones & ipods, at some point these have been broken and ive repaired cause apple take so long! my 4s was stolen so i bought a 16gb 4 GSM from a friend, i had it matter of 30mins max and dropped it, smashed front glass/digitizer! so i replaced it with oem parts, before the home button was fine! but now when i press the home button it sticks down and then voice control comes up if it dont stick down it doesnt work at all so i press it a few times to sorta force it to work and then multitasking comes up, i litterally cant get back to the springboard unless i turn phone off then on again! ive taken the phone appart clean the HB connections and clean the HB itself but problem still there!! can anyone help?? will i need a new home button or is there a way to fix this?

I have 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora icon on screen. I was told to connect my iphone 5 with USB port and worked. But as soon as I disconnected Pandora went out on screen. Only works plugged in now. Should work without USB connected.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my Samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car.  How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving!  And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! Right?  Thanks.

My iPhone 4s is not charging.  Last few days it was eating up the battery life quicker than usual.  Tried doing all the power up deals, turning off then on, even a restore.  It is now completely powered off and not turning on even when plugged in.  I'm out of ideas.  A little help please!Thanks

We have been having trouble with our iPhone 4. It will just die. I researched the web and was able to find the information to restart it by pushing both buttons. This resets it, but does not last. I did a complete reset on the phone then updated it, but it continues to turn off and has to be restarted. It is out of warranty, any help would be great.

Hi team,              I am using i phone 4s from past one year ,home button is not working for that I am using Associative touch option from 4 months onward .Recently getting the problems,  Voice control open automatically fro that  going the calls ,playing music in lock mode and unlock mode, when i try to lock the phone it was taking photo of screen  , Application screen also moving up and down and some times mobile also struck. For this problem I restore with i tunes and updated the latest version of iOS 6.1.3 but still the problem remains same, can you give the solution for this .

iphone cannot join wireless network

So I updated my iOS to 6.1.3 and now cannot connect to my home wifi network. I see that others have had the same problem, but there doesn't appear to be a fix that solves my problem. (I did roll back the firware on my router, twice) But that didn't correct the problem. My phone can see my SSID network but I get "unable to join" every time I enter my password. I've also changed my SSID name so that there are no spaces in it and even changed my wifi password to alpha only bc some folks said that'd work. No dice. I don't have time to go into the apple store. Anybody solve this one? and why, oh, why does apple not let you go back to a previous version of the operating system? f that

New Podcasts app-now no speed control iPhone 3G

This morning, I updated to the newest Podcast app (version 1.2.1), as well as the newest iOS version (6.1.3). Now my Podcasts app doesn't have speed control! I read a review online that said it's supposed to look like this: But instead, mine looks like this, without all the features at the top:  Am I missing something? Is there a way to customize it to show all those things at the top? Or did the new updates break something? Please help, since the speed option is the single most useful feature of Podcasts! Thanks

Playback marker speed control missing in last 2 updates iPhone 3G

Whatever problems the old app had, at least it allowed me to speed up or slow down the playback, as well as let me see how far along I was in listening. This new & improved Podcast app - while thankfully devoid of pointless animation - seems not to have these features any longer. I've downloaded the latest update (that makes 2 including when it lost these functions) & can find nothing in the app or in setting that restores them. I've also restarted the app, as well as the phone itself, with no change. Anyone know what's going on? Did Apple drop these features intentionally? If so, that's a huge problem for me. Thanks

IPhone 4S volume control not working

My iPhone 4S appears to be stuck in "dock connector" mode.  The volume control buttons on the side of the phone are not working so my phone will not ring & I receive no alerts.  "Bluetooth" & "dock connector" are the only outputs available when playing music.  "Speaker" is not an option. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.  BTW...the "mute" is NOT enabled.**this has been an ongoing issue for me but happened again after the latest update (3.23.13).  Ordinarily I can clean the pin connector on the phone & it fixes the issue.  It is not working this time.

apps won't open iPhone 4

I recently updated my iPhone4 (GSM) Verizon to iOS 6.1.2.  Since the update none of my 3rd party apps will open.  I have tried suggestions such as downloading, installing and running a free app which has not worked.  I tried a hard reset no dice.  I tried deleting the apps and then reinstalling them through iTunes.  I tried restoring which did not work.  Any ideas?

Why doesn t Apple make it possible to deactivate Voice control iPhone 3G

Voice control is really annoying. I really wish I could turn it off. But I can't. Supposedly I can turn off some of the things voice control does (with limited success) but I can't disable it completely even though I really want to. Really. And a lot of other people want to, too, if the forums are anything to go by.  Problems include:- Accidental activation (yes, triple click home is turned off, and yes I have a passcode)- Accidental calling people. The last time this happened I was asleep and I must have accidentally leant on my phone. Somehow it interpreted my breathing as "Facetime (friend's name)". That person lives in another country. It was the middle of the night. Could apple please reinburse me for this ridiculous nighttime overseas call? I also discovered that disabling voice calling with the passcode option doesn't disable facetime. Why not?- Accidentally playing music. This is really awkward especially in quiet serious places when your pocket or handbag starts to sing. There is NO WAY to stop this happening. My phone is on silent!! Still, voice control makes the beep beep noise and plays music when some accidental pressure touches the button. Last time was during a work meeting. If I get fired because of apple...- It hears things I don't say, and doesn't understand what I do say. To the best of my knowledge, I don't say "Facetime (complicated Indian name)" in my sleep. Seriously. But "Next song" should be simple enough! ATTENTION APPLE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS!! Please make an "off" option!! Surely it is a simple thing that will make millions happy. There are a LOT of discussions on the Support Communities about this. Please do something about it. There is a very simple solution, whereby people can choose if Voice control is something they want to use or not. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.

EVER. it finds my network and i put in my password and it says its connected but the swirling ting keeps moving around.I got to use the remote control app and it says that I have no wi-fi connection. I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using Maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? I have powered off, updated phone andanything on yoru site I couldl handle myself to do.Can you fix this? Or is it a Verizon Wireless issue?

30 pin adapter allows iPhone to be controlled by Apple Remote

I have the apple universal dock with the remote which works via IR. I was hoping there could be a similar, smaller adapter to connect to the iPhone with an IR receiver allowing control of media. I ask because I wish to use it in the car where I have the iPhone connected to a Bluetooth receiver but I don't have a convenient place for the dock and phone to sit. Any ideas if there is such hardware out there?Thanks

Why is there no webkit browser that forbids history clearing??My kid always clears history, goes into private browsing mode. My network can deal with monitoring, but he needs only shut off wifi and vola.Either the carriers need something (Which they may have and I should check with them, but if history proves anything they won't) or I need a way to make sure he can't change into private mode, clear history, or otherwise exclude our family from his experience. APPLE please Pay Attention. It's a pretty simple ask and I am sure you have an elegant solution

Downloading podcasts to Podcast directory iPhone 3G

Okay, here's my situation.  I was recently given a iPhone 3GS that I was thinking of using an iPod touch (i.e. no cellular data -- just wifi).  My car, an Audi A6, has iPhone/iPod integration as well as a built-in WiFi hotspot (using a Tmobile SIM built in to the car).  I have a long commute so I listen to a lot of podcasts.  I thought it would be cool if I could subscribe to x number of podcasts and have them automatically download/udate without having to touch the 3GS -- just do all the controlling via the car's interface.  The problem it doesn't seem like podcasts are downloaded to the "Podcast" directory in the phone anymore (thank you iOS 6 and Apple's Podcast app).  Since my car's interface will only stay in the "Music" directory, is there anyway to automatically get podcasts into that directory so I control them using the car's interface?  3rd party app perhaps?  Any suggestions? Thanks!

Vertical Grey lines iPhone 5

I dropped my iPhone from waist height flat onto the back (I have a zoogue case on it), and now grey vertical lines appear down the left side of the screen. I have powered off holding the home/power button, but nothing changed. I can't swipe to unlock it, so I can't type in my password in order to back it up over the cloud/my computer before resetting it. Has this happened to anyone? Suggestions? Home fixes? Or am I helpless?

IPhone 4S stopped reading S card after 6 months

I have iPhone 4S it has a H2o SIM card that's worked for about 6 months no problem then one day it said SIM card failure I powered phone on/off once and started working again. Two weeks later it took 3-4 times of me cycling power on/off and removing SIM card and reinstalling it in order to get it to work. Then a week later it did same thing but took even longer. Now it won't read at all and I thought it was SIM card so I went and bought a new SIM card but no change, I looked online for help and even tried to put tape on tray/card like someone said but no change(if I even putting the tape in right place. I tried several different ways) Nothing seems to work. My phone was manufactured between 19-25 of March 2012 so hopefully I can get warranty but not original owner so not sure. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this? Why hasn't Apple fixed this problem since its been happening for a long time

iphone 5 black i have to worry about scratches

am gonna get an iphone 5 black from someone soon and unfortunately i have no control over the color choice. i wanted white but i am gonna get a black piece.  i often come across blogs on the internet saying the iphone 5 black gets scratched a lot! i dont wanna put an ugly case of a sctarch guard on my iphone's back. the scratch guards tend to reflect the flash's light when taking pics with flash on, which over exposes the pictures. so anyway, i called up apple care guys and they said the problem of scratches is solved.  can i just use my iphone 5 without haivng to worry about its beautiful aluminum back getting scratched? Neerav

Verizon iPhone 5-UNLOCKED

There is an article today indicated that the Associated Press has discovered that the iPhone 5 from Verizon Wireless is unlocked and will work with an AT&T sim on the AT&T Network.  The article did not state if the phone will also work on other networks.  A Verizon spokesperson has verified that indeed their version of the iPhone 5 is unlocked.

Hello, I had the iOS 6.0 was the best, my battery's loaded 100% and when I put the timer lasted 43 minutes to get down to 90% and now with 6.1.2 only takes 17 minutes to reach 90%, and Apple has disappointed me a lot

FYI guys. I powered down my phone for a couple hours, then went back to the App Store. It had a fifth update, but this time it allowed me to complete my updates. Dunno if that helps you guys.

As stated, iphone4S is the smartest phone available. I lost my iphone4S recently and the person who took it, immediately powered it off. I signed in icloud and put my phone in stollen mode using Find My Phone utility which is still pending. I got the sim blocked and reported to police. They will deal it in their own way. My question is: are there other methods to trace my phone?

battery problem iPhone 5

Since a couple of days I have a massive problem with my iphone 5 battery. The time of usage went down to 3-4 hours without doing anything with the phone. You can listen the downcount of the battery control. WiFi, Bluetooth, hotspot is in off-mode, email push in manual mode, LTE is active. Is it possible that hidden processes are running in the background which have an enormous energy consumption? The backside of the phone is quite warm in recharging-mode of the battery as well as in normal usage mode. I bought the phone in September 2012. Does anybody has an idea?
