Hi, I am new to this forum so i apologise in advance for not following any rules thats set. I have a Iphone 5, 16 GB for 6 months and for the past month or so i've been having issues with the microphone. 1. During a call if i want to use loudspeaker the mic cuts out so the person on the other end can not hear what i am saying, yet while during a call off loudspeaker they can hear me fine. 2. Siri can not detect anything i say or any noise what so ever when i try to use siri, but can when using a headset. 3. When trying to use voice to text in messages no speech is detected. When using a headset under all three of these, they work fine, calling someone works fine aslong as i don't use loudspeaker.i have tried to restore the phone to see if this corrects the problems but no luck. The firmware version is 6.1.4, on EE 4G. Any help with this is appriciated. Tyler.

Hello! I live in Russia and love Apple very much, have many different products and never had any problems with them. And now I decided to buy a new Iphone 5 and wasn't lucky. I bought it on 3.05.2013 in normal shop, then turned out that wi-fi and bluetooth are not working and the phone eats battery very fast. Shop doesn't want take it back, official services don't want to repair it for free, because it was made for USA. I really don't know what to do:( To buy android? iPhone 5 Rear Microphone
Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iPhone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross

I did got a update, witch were ment to improve the loudspeaker functions.After installing that, there were no more sound in internal speaker!I have to use loadspeaker, headset or bluetooth headset, to hear when talking anybody on phone.There was no problem with this before the update!!How can I get the Iphone to work normal again?
iPhone 4S bluetooth issue
The thing is that i've been trying to use my iPhone 4S as master transmiter of GPS signals and accelerometer data for my ipad mini to use an app called air navigation pro, the deal is that when i try to pair my devices vía bluetooth they just seem not to recognize each other, the only way i can get them to work is by using personal hotspot or share internet option vía bluetooth, but thats the only way.I've heard theres a bug related to that, that our friends in cupertino just ignored when they updated IOS, Anyone can help me?, does Anyone has Any info about this, or maybe a solution.By the way since this may be due to my IOS instaled in my iPhone my devices are:-Ipad mini wifi only IOS 6.1.3-iPhone 4s IOS 6.1.3Thanks in advance for Any info proportioned

So a nasty smash destroyed both Front & Back of my iPhone 4, and since having them replaced the Wifi signal has been really weak. I have seen other posts about screen replacement having to be done by going through the antenna, so something could be missing, or done incorrectly during the screen repair. Will definately be taking it back to the shop and finding out if It was put back together properly. In the meantime I was wondering if it is possible to share my Macbook Pro's Wifi (always full signal in my house) directly to my iPhone either using USB cable or through bluetooth. It's not been too much of a problem but it would be nice to use my iPhone in bedroom using the Macbooks good signal. Note: The replacement front screen on iPhone has a small gap >1mm between the screen and centre metal casing on the left side just above the Silent/Loud Switch, which can be noticed by light leaking through the gap. The metal casing also still has a small dent between the volume down buttons and silent/loud switch, again nothing drastic 1mm maximum
Why did my iphone 5 factory reset
I've had my iphone 5 for a few months, for some reason today, my phone made a beeping noise I've never heard and did a complete factory reset. I thankfully have it set up to back up to icloud. Anyone have any ideas on why or suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!

I recently purchased an iPhone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. I recently upgraded from 4s to 5. I'm experiencing issues with the bluetooth transmission/receive range. When I'm running with the iphone on my arm my wireless headset quite often drops the connection. Same problem when I'm using bluetooth with My car. I can't have the phone in My pocket while driving, I must put it between My seats, otherwhise the connection drops. Had no problem like this with My 4 or 4s, so I convinced it's something with iPhone 5. Anyone else? Is it a hardware or software issue?

iPhone 5 camera issues
I'm having issues with the camera on my iphone 5 where it locks up when I try to open the camera app or the screen goes crazy with multi-coloured white noise or a portion of the screen is covered in a purple band usually vertically.Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it.Apple support have said to restore the phone or wait for iOS updates. I've done both and got a new phone and had the same issues. Any help would be great fully received.

iPhone 5 seizing randomly-unable to be used
I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me. About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped. It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again. It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back. I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff. SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty. I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

IPhone 4 gets very hot
Hello everyone. I have an IPhone 4 16gb with iOS 6.1.3, so yesterday i was using it normally, put it back in my pocket with 36% battery. After 1 hour or so i pick it up again and I had a nasty surprise the phone was very hot and battery drained down to 15%, i didn't have 3G, wifi, bluetooth, locations or other stuff or apps running, the phone was in standby. I get home and try to do a restore and i got another surprise, while it was connected to the PC instead of recharging it the battery went down and the phone shut off. Managed to restore it eventually, it stopped heating in standby but whenever i am at the menu doing nothing again with no apps or other stuff turned on it starts to get hot in the upper right part, people say it's the CPU..i don't know what to think anymore, last time it did this a restore solved it but not this time..any ideas?

The iPhone has never supported bluetooth file transfer. This is a known fact. Issues after 6.1.4 update iPhone 5
IS anyone else having issues after the 6.1.4 update? Here is what I have experienced in the last two days. 1- Unable to access a locked or secure network. It asks for password initially. When entered, it is unable to connect. I restart and then go to Settings, find the network and click. I never get a prompt for the password, just "Unable to Connect" 2-bluetooth. I can after a few attempts to connect my bluetooth headphones, only after I get a "Failed attempt" a few times. Then only music works, unable to make phone calls. This happens with two different products. A SENA SMH 10R and LG HBS 700. 3- Music play - I found this issue out when trying to figure out problem with bluetooth. I can start to play a song fine, but if I click on the ">>" or "<< " it freaks the player out and then skips multiple songs or stops play and goes back to the playlist. At first it was doing this with the bluetooth headphones when using it to make selections. So I deleted the devices and the iPhone continued to do it when selecting functions on the screen. Some playlists did it and some don't. Creating a new playlist did not help. Additional Info.Apple Store replaced my iphone on Saturday 5.4.13 because if antina issues. The issues above came after I restored from backup and updated the OS. I have erased the phone 2 times since getting the new phone and restored from back up and rebuilt from Itunes and neither way makes a difference above. What is going ON? Basically my iPhone 5 power button has a rattling noise which is annoying cause you could hear a tick when it vibrates. Also the phone sometimes blacks out and doesn't come back on. I didn't expect these issues after paying £430 for a brand new device. Will I get a replacement.
Battery life-iphone 4
Well I tried turning off the bluetooth, turning off WIFI, turning off location services, and all Push activity. After all of this my battery lasts about 8 hours. I guess I could keep the phone powered off but I think that kind of defeats the purpose of owning the phone. Any studies on the lifespan of an iPhone 4 battery? My applecare warranty runs out in a few months.
Turn off everything except GPS iPhone 5
I have a CDMA iPhone (Verizon), and I frequently hike using an app that tracks my route with GPS. However, the battery drains completely in 3-4 hours partly because the phone is looking for a cellular network. I tried turning on Airplane Mode, but that also disables the GPS. Of course, I have turned off cellular data and bluetooth, but the phone keeps looking for a cellular (voice) network. I have checked forums and people with GSM phones simply remove the SIM card, but I can't do that since I have a Verizon phone. Is there any way to turn off the battery-draining search for a cellular network when I am in remote areas?
Iphone 5 bluetooth very poor
Don´t buy a Iphone 5 It simply don´´t work stabil in the bluetooth word. I can sometimes, and sometimes not connect to me Ipad 2 and PC. turn of and on, sometime i works some time i don´t work. I am waiting and Waiting because it is so slow to connect. I am very disappointed by having buying one of the perhaps the most expensive phone om market.But I can not use it in my proffessionel work life. Other phones do not have these problems.
Distortion when playing back audio left and right channels. iPhone 4S
Recently, my iPhone 4s has been producing distortion in the right channel when playing back music and/or making VOIP calls. It is now starting on the left channel as well. Making cellular calls is fine (no distortion). Playing music through the doc connector is fine. Playing music through bluetooth is fine. Have I fried my onboard DSP for the onboard audio output devices? When I record video, audio is unbearably distorted.

Iphone 5 no longer connecting to bluetooth in car
My Iphone 5 has been connected succesfully via bluetooth to my car for the past 5 months (Ford Fiesta). Yesterday I went to use it and it wont connect, I powered off the phone, turned bluetooth on/off still not working. I debonded all phones from the car and went to start afresh but that wont work either. When it is searching for devices it just seems to be stuck? I tried another Iphone 5 in my car and that connected no problems at all. Anyone have any ideas, it clearly must be the phone but wonder what on earth I have done.

Is there a way to bypass Siri when using a bluetooth headset to make a call? I press the call button on my headset (Plantronics M50), but I still must touch the Siri mike icon on the iPhone 4S to verbally make the call.

bluetooth won't turn on iPhone 5
Hi there, Have a problem with my iPhone 5. When I try and turn on bluetooth it gets stuck on the turning wheel icon and never turns on. Dying iPhone 5
I have been having multiple problems with my iphone 5 and ive only had it for 6 months. I have been restoring it to factory settings on a regular basis however it still has been having problems (more and more frequent. #1 Teathering. I have been having trouble teathering off of my phone. (i tried several devices to rule my macbook out of the troubleshooting, nothing works) No device picks up my wifi or bluetooth personal hotspot. My macbook does not even recognize my USB connection in network settings. #2 My wifi on the phone is also a hassle. It has been becoming more and more intermittant, but rarely works. I have tried multiple networks with the same result. #3 My phone has become generally slow especially for safari and mail. On wifi, they dont work at all. on 3G, and LTE, the phone has also become very slow and often won't load at all. As stated above, restoring used do fix everything but that fix has become very short term, and often hasn't been working at all. Can someone help me?

Wi fi and bluetooth not working on iPhone 4s. Was working and just stopped in middle of playing a song over bluetooth to the car. Cannot even turn Wi-Fi on, as it is grayed out. bluetooth just searches and searches, never finding anything.... Did a restore to factory defaults and also turned iPhone off and on via the wake/sleep button, and did software resets on phone and networking. Nothing helped. Any other ideas? Could it be the antenna or something physically internal on the device? Lisa

Hi all,I did a forget this device in bluetooth on my iphone 4s. Now i would like to discover the device again. Any suggestions. also it would seem it is not discovering any devices. My Iphone 5 deteches the devices so the devices are working.

Pls have this to pay attention for. If this is a hardware problem, what must be done to repair it? If that's a bug, when shall A.guys have a fix for that.BTW, may that be a problem actually linked to bluetooth connectivity in the first turn? bluetooth connectivity option is constantly "trying to determine it's state" (BT option setting shows "busy" running circle instead of on/off state), and after it finally gets to off state there appears to happen some change to wifi option behavior. Once it had even started back for an hour, but fell back to disabled soon afterwards.At least both these problems appeared together at the same time.All possible resets, firmware restores and 6.0.1 did not fix that. Shall I need to jailbreak the OS to fix it? And btw, the whole situation already ran a lot of people into high spendings for their 2g/3G overwhelming cellular data traffic. Apple to apologize for that at least? Or shall there be iPhone 6 and the problem would remain unfixed and unnoticed?
iPhone not working properly can i change it for new one
Hello. on December i purchased my iPhone 5 on eBay for about 530. Its under warranty until december 20 2013, not today while charging my iPhone at night i noticed my iPhone kept charging and uncharging itself, (the beep noise) it keept doing it for quite awhile and i checked up on it. It has some problems charging, i've never had any problems with it before. Now, i tried hard resetting and rebooting it a bunch of times but when i hard reset (dfu mode) my computer would not recognize it to even restore it. my computer won't even recognizes if the phone is connected. It's not the cables as i have an iPad 4 and i have 3 cables in total, all original apple products. All cables work perfectly fine with the iPad but not with the iPhone, so i'm geussing something is wrong with my iPhone. How can i get my iPhone replaced or fixed? I've only been in the apple store to check out products but never spoken to any of the customer support. what questions will i get asked? Do i gotta make an appointment or can i just walk into a local apple store and bring in my device and box. what will i need? It's my first time trying to replace or fix my iPhone so i need help. Help a fellow apple user.

Hi,I have notice that with the new upgrade of iOS 6.1.3 in my new iPhone 5 the battery duration it is decrease a lot with the same use. Before also two days with one chard and now, with the upgrade only six-nine hours. LTE data and bluetooth are disable. There's someone who could tell me an explanation or maybe a solution???? Hello, My iPhone 4S was perfectly fine until this afternoon when WIFI just stopped working. It would simply not find any networks.I then placed my phone on airplane mode and then turned it off. The WiFi sign was now dimmed and isnt able to get turned on or off.bluetooth just keeps on loading and is never giving me the option to turn it on...I don't know if this has anything to do witht he IOS 6.1.3 since I have been reading some discussions and blogs about it. A lot of people seem to be having trouble with this.I wonder if it is really a software issue. On another note, if I want to take my phone for service, is it possible that it is taken in even though I have lost my receipt. Please help....Thanks so much.
First issue Itunes will not sync with iphone 4s
i updated my iphone 4s to 6.1.3 and since then I cannot sync or "drag & drop" any music to my iphone. I have done a hard reset, restore to factory settings, deauthorize / authorize and pretty much anything else that involves checking and unchecking and as I expecting nothing worked. Am I missing some little detail because everything thing worked just fine before with itunes that is. I cannot do any wifi sync since my phone is also greyed out with wifi and bluetooth. If anyone has any other suggestions please entertain me because I am at a loss here.

I got my new Iphone 5. And the same day I started using it, the bluetooth dident work, so I went to the store and returned it. Since they were sold out of the iphone 5 I had to wait a bit to get the new one. Now I got the my new Iphone 5 and on this one the bluetooth dosent work either!! bluetooth has no range iPhone 5
Hi, I use my iPhone 5 for running and have bluetooth headphones and a bluetooth heartrate monitor connected. If I have the phone on my arm then all is fine but I would prefer to put it in the pocket on the back of my shorts/trousers but as soon as I do both devices go in out out of contact with the iphone all the time.What can I do to resolve this issue?
