Good night;guys, I have a problem and would like some help:I bought it on Amazon, 1 Iphone 5 Unlocked, factory unlocked. The device functioned normally and after an update, it did not take over my chip and says the device is locked (is asking to put a valid chip). After several attempts, I got in touch with the Apple of my country (Brazil), and to my surprise, the search for the serial device, they reported that the device is locked by Sprint and manufactures do not accept support or exchange (The unit has 1 month bought with full price in amazon), telling me to settle with Amazon. I insisted informing them that the unit was purchased unlocked and they also reported that this device is aimed at the European market, it works with CDMA and GSM and Apple Brazil suporPelas just the research I have done and talking to some people, I passed the information that Sprint can easily inform this code (or Imei) not sure which unlocks the device again, but have no information on how to get or do that. I contacted Amazon stating what happened and I'm waiting for a position within it, is to send the code or return the handset. My model is the A1429. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help?

I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!

Using iPhone 3GS to change Apple ID: go to SETTINGS; then to Itunes & App Stores, tap your old Apple ID and sign out. When you sign out it will let you enter a new email, (Apple ID) and (I hand already changed my ID on the Apple Store but not my password) . So I was able to use the same password. It already had my credit card info but made me verify the security code. Easy, just needed to know WHERE to go.
This happend to me last night,my other iphone 3 was stolen a few years ago. They used the account from that iphone to go on icloud on the pc. Then they putted my new iphone in lost mode and typed in a code that i don't know what do i need to do about this?

I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me. About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped. It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again. It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back. I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff. SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty. I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
I attempted to turn my iPhone 4s on, and as soon as the apple logo came up a weird string of code came up, then my phone would restart and do the same thing.I put the phone in recovery mode and attempted to reset it, but as it was resetting the code came up again. Now the phone is stuck at the plug iPhone to iTunes spot, and it continues to not let me reset my phone. What do I do?
i have bought a reconditioned Iphone 4 in Japan, when returning to my country i was told by my cellular provider (Orange) that it's locked, thhey further said that apple can provide me with an unlocking code, is this true? how do I unlock it?
I'm using my iPhone 5 and can't update any apps or buy music from ITunes because I get an error code telling me that the items I'm requesting are not available in the South African store. I live in Canada. ????? My computer itunes store is correct. i've connected /updated my phone thru my computer and tried to reset my store but my computer account is fine. The problem is exclusive to my phone. Does anyone have suggestions to fix this?
how do i find my pass code? Iphone4s is locked.
Hey everyone I have been holding back from updating my iOS on my iphone 4s (I know - not a smart move) I am currently still on 5.1.1 and trying to update to 6.1.3 (finally) from the phone itself (not via iTunes) I am trying to downlaod and install the update using Wi-Fi connectivity, but it just wouldn't let me? Kept saying An Error occured while downloading... It didn't give me any error code or any other explanation. It just simply won't update I know it was silly of me to begin with for not updating for so long, but I don't understand why my phone is rejecting the update? If this is even what is happening.. Also I sent my iMac for repair recently, came back with a Lion (which was what I had on there previously anyway) but it wasn't updated? So I couldn't just open iTunes and restore all my contacts.. AND I am still currently in the process of downloading the updates - but something always happens as well, an error occured that I have to re-download the update, internet drops on and off, etc. -- The reason I wanted to update was (this is a whole separate problem) my 4s kept crashing the apps, not doing anything out of ordinary - it just crashes everytime i start or a open an app. So I would hard reset my phone (turning it off and on again) and then I would find all my contacts gone. No other entries are gone, just my contact names! All messages and calendar entries are all still there - just no contact names in my address book. ***? After sleuthing here and there, and found no real solution to this problem. I decided to update my iOS because one of the discussion thread I found told me to try that. Heck, why not. SO I tried uploading and this is where I end up.. Does ANYONE have any idea what the **** is going on? Does anyone else out tehre have the same problem? Surely this is not just me!!
A weird rectangular, transparent, shield has appeared "above" any key selected from lock code to apps that blocks any tapping on any keys or keypad. If I tap hard and fast, it might catch but then enters the number, or whatever, multiple times (cause of rapid tapping). This has happened 6 times since March, where I've had to fully restore factory setting. First time, didn't know had to manually back up apps, dir., etc., so had to re-build it all 1st time. Since, same weird transparent shield appears, then no button will "select" or function until full restore. Because after rapid tapping, hard, one might stick, after 1, 2, 3, Dozentaps, it proves something transparent is blocking (the rectangle appears as a fine point box line hovering above anything I tap). This last time, the full restore put it back, and the problem is still there.Am back on my old 4S, which I kept, as spare (amazingly) until a fix. Will prolly have to send it in on a slow boat to China, where itwas made, which is gonna be quicker than a repair job, I'm sure. Nothing like this comes up on the forum, any advice is well appreciated.Thank you kindly.
After my latest update on my iPhone 4 my phone started just shutting down and restarting by itself. I have tried to restore the phone with the latest version of iTunes but now get the error message that iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode. Well that's fine, I selected recovery and when it appears that the recovery mode is going to go through the recovery mode returns an error code. The first code I received is the error 1656, then a 26, then the final attempt I got an error code 21. This phone has never been dropped, mishandled, or taken any physical damage. It was working great before I attempted to update. Please if anyone else has experienced this let me know how you resolved these errors. I have attempted every trouble-shooting step indicated on the Apple support site. HELP!
Hello! I´m soo frustrated right now - it seems i can not get my new iphone 5 to work... I broke the screen my iphone 5 aproximatley 4 mounths ago, and bought a new screen on ebay. I bought this for over 300 dollars, and got a friend to fix it. (and paid him as well) He broke one of the thin wires when he was changing the screen, making the front camera and speaker useless. Except that, the phone worked just fine. Then he bought a new wire, installed that, and i got it back. But now, it wont work! When i start it just a picture of an USB cable towards an itunes brand appear... and i have litterally tried everything. No matter what I do, I can not fix it, or restore it - the error code 1611 or 1603 appears om my mac screen when I connect it to itunes, and I get no further than that. And Ive uptaded all the programs, tried holding in home and of/on-button, go into the "hosts" on my mac (if you dont understand what i ment by that, just ask) Can somebody please help me? Im cryin here, Ive used so much money on this and it does not work. Whats wrong with it? Ive tried every possible solution that appears on google, NOTHING works. I didn't bought the phone from Apple, but maybe I can send it in to them and I can get a new one? I dont expect that, but Ive would be in heaven
I am locked out of my iphone 4s because i can't remember the pass code. What data will I lose if I reset it?
My mom passed me her phone as she couldn't get it to restart. I got it to charge and restart in recovery mode. However, I've tried all steps on this and many other forums and it is stuck in "trying to restore". On the phone, it will blink a white screen, show the apple logo and a progress bar then quickly disappear then on the computer give me error code 9. I have tried 3 different cords, on both my MacBook Air and my iMac. Same results on both computers. She purchased a new phone as she couldn't do without, but would love to fix this phone and give to one of my children. This phone has not been jailbroken. Any help would be sooooo appreciated! Not sure what will happen if I try to take this to Apple.
so i just redeem the code to get 10.00 from the itune store on my phone and now i cant get an app that cost 9.99 it said i have insufficient remaining store credit,*** why is it doing this to me
I have an issue where the phone worked fine - zero issues, I took a call, hung up then the screen became a line that looks like the apple logo motion blurred from the top to bottom then fades to vertical lines of blue and black. No restores resolve it. I have tried all angles of resetting it. To me it looks like the screens are woking but the os is bugging out... I can reset, reboot, restore and it goes throught the strange black and white screen (obviously the apple logo startup screen - then goes to the multicolored line screen - which is some freaked out version of the home screen.
I have an iPhone 4, that I had to replace the LCD, power switch - proximity sensor cable, and home button on. After I had made the repairs (after making sure everything was reassembled correctly) I then proceeded to turn the device on.Now it will only display the Apple logo at startup. When I turn the phone off (via the Home + Sleep/wake method) it will sometimes revert back to the Apple logo screen. I have reset the phone (gone through recovery mode) at least 5 times to correct the issue, yet it still is not working correctly. The only software change that had been made to it, was that I had updated it to the most recent version of iOS. And that was approx. 2 weeks before the issues with the phone. Is there another solution to fixing this phone, or is it basically done? (If I can, I really need to get this phone fixed (if at all possible).Thank-you.
to cut a long story short. I was interested in an i-phone... got the details..checked them all.. on the phone and with the provider, VODAPHONE... told unlocked, not stolen etc etc. proceeded to buy the phone...new sim topped up £10 only to find it wouldn't work... Went into vodaphone store..been running around following thier advice..(they said I need a friend who is a customer on vodaphone to get passed the unlocking with a vodaphone code.. and they would do it for free given the circumstances...so i run errands go back and forth doing as they asked...got nowhere) SO IT IS NOW A MONTH LATER..and after complaining and complaining to thier email site and repeatedly asking for help in store..I am stumped as what to do and just have a glorified ipod. I WILL NOT BE FORCED TO REMAIN ON THE VODAPHONE NETWORK given the situation they have put me in and thier unwillingness to help so i refuse to use the phone with vodaphone... BUT WHAT can i do PLEASEEEEEEE? all they keep on suggesting is that I get the original owners details but he is not answering anything...and the phone is not registered as stolen etc so what is the problem!? As you can imagine I am really peeved by the whole thing as I actually carried out all the necessary checks, and whilst the phone was not bought directly from vodaphone, I went to them as the provider, to find otu about unlocking etc as it is always advised to do so..and it was them that gave me the wrong information but they still will not resolve the issue. I have even sent them phone records to confirm when I rung and the name of the invalid who told me the phone was unlocked in the first place. I really would much appreciate any help as they are ignoring my emails now.

I am getting error code 3194 when i try to update my iphone 4S to IOS 6.1.3. How can i resolve this?
Hi, we purchased a new iPhone 5 16 GB in balck through our business account with Vodafone. We’ve had this phone just under 2 month and it has had a battery issue that seemed to only get worse by time. We tried the usual fixes by applying the latest iOS and doing a complete restore to factory settings with no results. The battery would not hold charge for long and the user had to keep constantly charging it through the day. We’ve had similar issues in the past with iPhone 4 and the 4S to which the fix was always to take the iPhone back to the Apple store and get it replaced under warranty. When I went to the Apple store after inspecting the phone they told me that they can not service nor replace the phone as it had “Random code Stickers” on the inside of the phone which are not consistent with any repair work done in any Apple repair store and that a “water sensor “ attached to the inside of the screen was missing as well as “Burn marks” to the back on the screen.Has anyone had a similar problem with their phone?
help - My i phone has an icon which says i can have only plug into i tunes - i canbnot do anything else - i cannot turn it on or off and when i try to restore it says error code (-1) - how can i use my phone?
My iPhone 4 is stuck in recovery mode and is now a brick, there is no response and cannot be restored, error code -1 message keeps persisting, what do I do????
My new phone came with restriction set, I cannot access many function. How can I remove this. I did not put the code on.
Hi, My iPhone 4 was purchased on a contract basis from Vodacom (South Africa) in August 2011, during January this year my phone kept restarting by itself. It eventually got worse that I had to use my Mophie Juicepack in order for my phone to operate, but my phone ocassionaly would startup and there would be No Service and the Wi-fi switch was grey.Doing a restart with the Power & Home button has not worked nor has a fresh new restore of iOS 6.1.3 and I have reset the phone to factory default settings including erasing all existing data & media etc. My warranty has expired thus I sent my iPhone 4 for a battery replacement from an authorised Apple agent here in South Africa.Thinking it would solve my problem...it did not. My phone still restarts by itself and occasionally does not even power ON unless I plug it in via the USB charger which doesn't help much because there would be No Service and the Wi-fi switch was grey. I have never dropped my iPhone and it has no exterior damage at all nor has it ever been Jailbroken. Please suggest any solutions, I have tried every option possible from forums etc.
Can anyone help me?

Hello I recent recieved one iphone 4 from one friend in France, but was sim lock, so i tried to contact the company operator. I explain the situation that i didnt had the number, or the original name from the buyer. In reply from them:"Bonjour Monsieur Breda, Vous souhaitez déverrouiller un mobile Orange d'occasion. What can i do to unlock?? since my network doesn't unlock the device...
We found that your app uses one or more non-public APIs, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The use of non-public APIs is not permissible because it can lead to a poor user experience should these APIs change. We found the following non-public API/s in your app:_terminateWithStatus:If you have defined methods in your source code with the same names as the above-mentioned APIs, we suggest altering your method names so that they no longer collide with Apple's private APIs to avoid your application being flagged in future submissions.Additionally, one or more of the above-mentioned APIs may reside in a static library included with your application. If you do not have access to the library's source, you may be able to search the compiled binary using "strings" or "otool" command line tools. The "strings" tool can output a list of the methods that the library calls and "otool -ov" will output the Objective-C class structures and their defined methods. These techniques can help you narrow down where the problematic code resides. We appreciate that you may have made the precautions in your code for using non-public APIs, however, there is no way to accurately or completely predict how an API may be modified and what effects those modifications may have. For this reason, we do not permit the use of non-public APIs in App Store apps.If there are no alternatives for providing the functionality your app requires, we encourage you to file anenhancement request. Or, try working with the Apple Developer Technical Support team to explore alternative solutions. On occasion, there may be apps on the App Store that don't appear to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We work hard to ensure that the apps on the App Store are in compliance and we try to identify any apps currently on the App Store that may not be. It takes time to identify these occurrences but another app being out of compliance is not a reason for your app to be.For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to:- include the complete details of your rejection issues- prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up. For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports. If you have difficulty reproducing this issue, please try testing the workflow as described in <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/qa/qa1764/>Testing Workflow with Xcode's Archive feature".

My iphone wont connect to itunes and my computer isnt recognising it.it comes up with an error msg saying.... Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (code 52) what can i do to fix this?
Here's the story. I dropped my phone in a swimming pool. It did not start at first. I layed the phone in a bag of uncooked rice and after 5 days it seemed like it was going to startup again. However something was wrong with teh battery so we ordered a new battery. The phone started up with the new battery but it wanted to go into that recovery mode. I did go through the backup procedure in iTunes and then recovery. The phone is now starting up fine but it is blank from apps and photos like a new phone. I did not have any photos backed up over iCloud before this happened. However shouldn't the photos still be on teh memory card of the phone? I thought the recovery process just resets the phone to factory standard, not deleting my photos. How can I get my old photos out of the phone? They are not in the DCIM when I log on through Windows explorer as well.
code:5107 anyone can help?
I'm at my grandparent's house, and I'm the only one that can't connect to their wifi. My brother and mom have both been successful with their laptops, but my phone and laptop refuse to join in. (My laptop isn't a Mac, so don't worry about that.) The access code is correct, but it always gives me the "failed to login" message.
