hey i have iphone 3gs running on IOS 4.1. and i am not able to install applications from itunes.
hey i bought this second hand phone from a friend and this phone is locked by a korean carrier KT free tel, its currently running on IOS 4.1.so now i am thinking to use this phone on this IOS 4.1. but when i am downloading the apps from itunes. it says a higher version of IOS is reqiuerd.so is it that applications for IOS 4.1 is no longer available on itunes?????

Hi, I bought an iPhone 4S at the end of May time and it was taken back due to dead pixels once, then the newer one had the same issue so was returned again. The third one which I had replaced last Thursday has a different problem. All is well with the phone is what I initially thought (no dead pixels at least...) I recorded a video earlier on and played it back and noticed it has a very loud hissing/static type sound to it. Even over the voices or any type of noise. I am not sure why this is happening, I removed the case and it still happened. I read online that people have used an app called Qik so I downloaded that and tried it - the same noise occurs. Is this normal for a 4S? Or should I take it back a third time? Thanks in advance.

I was installing an app, it got to around 3/4 of a way and then stopped installing and I waited about 5 minutes alas it was still stuck on the same 3/4 mark. A friend told me to turn my phone off and back on, stupidly I turned it off halfway through the download/install and it wouldn't switch back on, it just stayed at the apple logo. I've tried many "solutions" like holding down the home and on button, doing that whilst it's plugged into the computer etc and it just won't turn on! I'm thinking a trip to the apple store is needed but the closest one is around an hour away so before that does anyone have any suggestions? :(

when looking at the history in settings under advanced is everything that shows up from what has been viewed on that phone? can sites show up just because or is it pretty accurate history of what's being viewed? also is there a way to see the date it was viewed?

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it. I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already. P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

So i was playing with my phone, put it down for a second and when i came back to it the screen was covered with black and white lines.. Ive tried to restart the phone, reset it and all but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have advice? I am overseas so going into an apple store isnt an option.

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean
My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of itunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001). So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. this time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code. The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

Makingreceiving call mic problems iPhone
Hi, I understand there are two mics on the iphone 4, which would explain my problem. I need a DIY fix if possible please. When I'm making a call, the person im speaking to can only hear a extremely faint voice from me, so faint they would need to be in a sound proof room to hear me. If I switch to speaker phone they can hear me fine, as im guessing this uses the other mic located on the top of the iphone. I've seen a youtube fix for a mic which isn't working. Would this be the fix involving opening iphone and inserting a piece of card or plastic to create pressure on the chip? Any comments or advice would be most grateful.

Ok so my friend got ahold of my iphone and downloaded the software from ios 7 onto it. When I went to take it off I just erased and reset the phone. While doing that it has now completely locked me out of my phone because the software she downloaded wasn't paid for. The screen is now telling me "the device is not registered as part of the iphone developer program." Does anyone have any suggestions? Turning the phone on or off, starting over as an option is not working. I'm not sure what else to do and I'm starting to freak out a little bit.

Why does my iPhone volume ringer icon come on by itself, the volume gets turned down on its own then the icon stays on and blocks my view. It also will at any time make any screen switch to large pictures that I can only see a small portion of screen at a time. I have tried too tap screen to make it go back to normal and nothing happens. I then try to turn it off. After several tries I am successful Its hard slide power off button because only a small section is showing. What is happening? How do I fix this?

this whole problem started when I first got my Iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new Iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! this problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a Iphone 4s btw. With my old Iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! this is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

Well after a fall from around 10cm high my mic stopped working. I could listen to all my ringtones, i can voice record but when comes to phone call i cant hear anything or be heared even if i use the loudspeaker. Also when a call is established the speaker option is enabled automatically. Replacing mic will work ? Anyone had similar problem?

My boyfriend upgraded to an iPhone 5 recently and decided to give me his old iPhone 4, but i'm on Vodafone and his iPhone is locked to Orange. So he rang up Orange to request an unlock which cost £20 and the guy said it could take upto 28days (which seems a long time to unlock a phone) The guy at Orange said the reason for this is that the unlock has to be done by Apple (which makes sense) and so my iphone would go on a list and once it reaches the top of that list it will be done - (is this true?) It's been 3 weeks and my boyfriend still hasn't recieved an email to say the unlock has been successful. I'm starting to get impatient as I didn't think it would actually take the full 4 weeks to process(i know it hasn't been 28 days yet...) - but it's looking like it will take that long at this rate... if it gets unlocked at all! I would also like to know if my iPhone 4 has been jailbroken in the past - will this prevent the phone being unlocked by apple? Any help or advice would be great

Iphone 5 searching
My iphone 5 has continually been "searching" for two days. I had the sim card swapped twice yesterday and nothing has changed. What could be wrong and what is my next step? More info: I have reset network setting, reset my entire phone as well. It will not allow me to even go through the process of setting up the phone so I'm stuck at the beginning screen. I've tried to set it up through wifi and through itunes with no luck. Before I reset it, it wouldn't allow me to update once the searching problem began.
