Wont SYNC iphone 3G

Im trying to sync my iphone through iTunes but its not working. First it says something about a duplicate file. Then it says an internal device error has occured. It also sometimes says the required file cannot be found (Im trying to sync a new ringtone onto it and I have NOT moved any previously synced files).I have the latest iphone update and the latest version of iTunes. Ive tried restoring to a back up but then that stuffs up as well.What can I do?? Asus Windows 7

For some strange reason, the sound on my iphone 3G has reduced drastically. I am not able to hear either ringtone nor any music. The volume control is at full level. I tried resetting the phone and tried almost everything, but the sound volume can not be increased. All other functions are in perfect condition. The phone has neither fallen or become wet. Hi allUpdated to 4.0.2 recently, although not sure if this is the problem or just coincidence.On settings, all my sounds are on (i.e. lock sounds, ringtone to loudest, keyboard clicks) and they have been working until today.Now the keyboard clicks dont work, nor do any other sounds other than the iPod. When I go into settings and confirm my ringtone, it does ring, but not when I get a call.This all worked previously but as I say, not sure whether just a conincidence with the update. Ok, I have spent time searching the forums, and web for any answers. I have a few problems with my iphone, and most of you will probably hate me for what I am going to say.First issue: My iphone is ungodly slow. I mean it takes about 3-4 minutes for the app store to load sometimes, when loading an app, constantly loads while in the app, causing the app to freeze. Sometimes when I go into an app, after about 15-30 seconds it kicks me out of the app.Second issue: Sound is super low. When I go to make a call on my iphone, I am either forced to use a Bluetooth Headset or Speaker to place the call. The normal speaker works but is really really low. And yes, I do have the volume all the way turned up. When receiving a call, I can barely hear the ringtone sometimes, it is super low.Third issue: My iphone constantly says No Simcard Installed I know part of it is probably because the sim does not fit snug inside the phone anymore, but It also does it randomly at times. I was wondering if it could be a software issue, and not the actual sim card. Last issue (For Now): Replacing the back case. I am wondering if I should replace the back case for my phone, or just finally upgrade to another iphone. My back case has about 5 cracks on it, its loose, and my lock/power button does not work, the vibrator switch does not work, vibrate does not work, and I am missing a piece of the case that goes on the top of the phone.So should I just spare myself headache, and financial hit, and just go purchase another iphone 3G or 3GS, I do not plan on getting the iphone 4 as of yet, but do you think it is time for a full upgrade, or just fix the issues I am currently having. 15" Macbook Pro (2010) iphone 3G 8G Mac OS X (10.6.4) 2.66 GHZ Core i7 500GB HD, 4GB RAM

iOS 4 on 3G-Voluntarily Reverted back to 3.1.3 iphone

About one week after installing iOS 4 on my 3G and creating folders for all my apps (which all fit on one page by the way after consolidating), I began to have the same problems I am seeing reported by many others, i.e. poor battery life, phone randomly rebooting, unacceptably slow response to typing, apps slow to start and close, etc. I chose to find a safe and legal route to taking my phone back to iOS 3.1.3 and have been happy every since. What pains me, and others have claimed the same, is that Apple didnt offer this to its already valued and mostly long-term customers, once it found out these problem were pervasive. There is no time to wait for a fix, if one is actually coming, when you depend on your phone for daily personal and business use! Having to seek out a third-party that solved the problem is sad and unnecessary. The willingness of someone else to respond, and provide instructions at no cost to reverting back to any previous iOS that was safe, is clearly what Apple lacks. The public, in essence, provides a response that a corporation could have fixed with little effort. This says to me that Apple is only concerned about iphone 4 users, whom they have clearly disappointed as well.Im glad jailbreaking has been deemed legal. While I wont do it myself, I think it is a big step in getting Apple to acknowledge and hopefully address the clear fact that people wont stand not only for slow response time but also for limited usability, deemed appropriate by Apple themselves.Up to iOS4 I was happy with Apple. Post iOS4, I question their motives and true commitment to the loyal customers they serve. I guess their true character will shine through in the weeks to come as users like myself refuse to be held hostage by our phones and demand change and response from Apple. My son sent me a ring tone via text message. The last time he did this I was able to touch the ring tone on my screen and save it to my phone. This time it wont let me. The only difference I can see if that this ring tone was made using Quicktime. Is there something I should be doing to save it to my phone? Hi, my phone isnt ringing when I get calls. The sounds for games are also not working. Sounds are turned on in settings. The sounds work when I change the volume, etc. in the settings panel. The ringer is not turned off...checked that. Sound on movies and music is working. What magic switch am I missing?! This has not been a problem before. I starting using the alarm on the phone last week, but I dont think theres a correlation since I turned off the alarm to test and still didnt have any ringtone with an incoming call. I´ve been trying to use an old ringtone on my iphone and it doesnt want to work. The situation is as follows:Ive had itunes on my laptop (PC, not imac) for some time. I had purchased a snng from itunes, put it on a CD and then using an mp3 editor, created a ringtone which I was able to use on my old Sony Ericsson.My boss then, very kindly, bought me an iphone 3G, which by the way, I love.I thought it would be easy to use my old ringtone. I get a fair number of telephone spammers, I guess because I have landline calls forwarded to my iphone. So I set up a Contact called Spam and set the ringtone to crickets, so when I hear it I know its spam. Then every time I get a spam call from a new number I add that number to the Spam Contact. For the record: I dont think my dilemma has anything to do with the new iOS4 update. Recently my iphone has been acting a bit odd. You know the little switch right above the volume buttons? The one that if you switch it, it shows a bell. Silent or ring. Well, a couple of days ago (about 2 days) after turning my phone back on, the little bell symbol randomly came up and was flashing on and off. This all happened without me touching the actual switch. After all that happened, when I went to switch the silent/ring thing, nothing came up. It just stayed the same. Now theres no sound. I can play music aloud. I can play a ringtone aloud. It just wont play on its own. If I receive a call, I wont hear it. If I receive a text, I wont hear it. The keyboard wont even click anymore Ive checked the settings. My Phone Inoperable-Genius Bar at 1pm iphone 3G

Have had a host of problems since upgrading to 4.0. Day 1 was a battery mess (drained immediately), but after a few reboots/syncs, it worked fine (but slower) for 2 weeks or so, but then crashed repeatedly this past Sunday. The phone was rebooting/non-functional for around 4 hours until I plugged it into a wall. Then it rallied for a few hours with phone and email working (although any non-Apple app crashed), and I was able to sync and upgrade to 4.0.1 on Sunday night. Monday morning, the phone was fantastic. It was fast, the apps didnt stall or have delays at all - everything worked. Then the wheels came off. The phone went back into constant reboot or shutdown mode, and when it started up for brief moments, registered as No Service. Now it wont do anything. I can boot it up, but it wont get past the black/white Apple intro screen, and occasionally has the Reconnect to iTunes icon. When I try a full Restore/Recovery Mode, that fails as well. I have seen 2 errors here - one doesnt recognize a SIM card, and the other, more consistent error is an Unknown Error of various numbers.I love Apples products, but this experience has been frustrating to say the least. I use this phone for work and personal, and travel constantly, so am beginning to get nervous this will happen when I need it the most. I am heading to their store for a Genius Bar at 1pm.Any thoughts, or is this beyond a Fix at Home solution. 3G iOS 4

iOS4 bluetooth functions not working properly iphone

Hello there, I have the iphone 3Gs and it is updated with the iOS 4.0.1. The problem Im having is that, not all of the bluetooth functions are working properly as it used to before, and I wanted to know if there was away of letting Apple know about it so that it could be fixed. I believe its just a software issue, where there is a delay in conncetivity from phone to headset, but Im not sure. I own the new, Jawbone Icon and it used to work fine before Ive updated to the new iOS 4.0. Ive tried doing a total rest with both iphone and bluetooth and both methods were unsuccessful. Ive actually tested my bluetooth headset with another iphone, that still had the previous iOS 3.1.3 software, and it worked exactly how it should compared to my updated iOS 4.0.1 iphone. The main problem I have is that for one, I no longer hear my phones message tone in my headset when I recieve a text message, push notification, or even email to my iphone. Before, with the iOS 3.1.3 software, I would alway here my message tone when I recieve any of those notifications. Which was convinient when I had my phone in my pocket and was in an area where I couldnt hear my phone when I recieved a message. The other problem I have is that, while my phone is ringing, I would hear my ringtone through my bluetooth while the caller id function was being read to me. This was a little distracting at first, but not too much of a problem. The problem is, when my phone rings and my Jawbone reads back to me the callers number - when I pressed the sleep/wake button to slients my phone, it would also cancel the caller id function that my bluetooth offers. This was a little inconvinient, especially while I was driving. In the state the I live in, while driving, the driver is not allowed to talk on their phone unless it is connected to a bluetooth device. Which is the reason why it would be the reason why i enjoy the caller id function provided by Jawbone. If there is anyone that could help me with this problem, or possible help me find a way to send this to Apple, I would greatly appreciate it. If anything, I believe that the new iphone iOS 4.01 software has a slight delay on their bluetooth connectivity from phone to headset.
