Fixing wet Iphone 4-flash light and on screen dead iPhone 4S

There seems to be a lot of people out there dropping their Iphone in the bath so I thought I would share my experience of fixing mine.Firstly if its in warranty consult your dealer - if this doesn't help try the following: A lot of people say stick it in bags of rice / silicon, etc but here is a quicker, more reliable way which is far less likely to contaminate one of the connectors. You do not need any special equipment. Make sure phone is off (If you can still see the screen) - hold sleep and Home for 5 seconds and tap the red off button that appearsPop your oven on a low heat ( less than 100C) for 5 minutes.Wrap your phone inside a sock, doubled over a couple of times so the phone is well protected.Turn oven offPop phone into oven for 30 minutes or longer preferably You could use a hairdryer but be very careful to keep it moving to avoid any localised heat spots that could damage components. If the phone got really soaked you might want to jump down to taking the phone apart - if it is still full of water powering up or charging could result in further damage Let the phone cool and try to power up, if nothing happens check for any signs of water vapour still in the phone and repeat if present. Otherwise try charging and powering up Still no success? this step requires a very small crosshead (some need a 5star) screwdriver, don't compromise and try and use a larger one, damaged screws will cause you even more expense. Very cheap on ebay. Unscrew the 2 small screws at the bottom next to the speaker, slide the back up and lift away. Unscrew the very small screw holding the battery connector in place and pry up the connector (lift the side nearest the edge first). Be careful not to lose the screw or the small metal bracket under the connector. Use the plastic tab sticking up half way along the battery to ease the battery out (usual there is a small amount of glue on them). This will reset the phone (you will not lose anything but the phone will hopeful power up when the battery is replaced). This is a good time to try the drying procedure again to ensure there is no more moisture present. Reconnect the battery screw everything back in place and press the wake button. If this has not succeeded you may need specialist help to test more components.Good luck ( and I cannot stress enough - keep the temperature low when drying)

Hi everyone. Day before yesterday in the evening i was talking to my friend and once i finished my call, i hangup the call. Suddenly i realised my external speakers were not working. i havent backed up data for more than 5 weeks so i decided to update my iOS from 6.1.2. Then i connected my windows laptops with itunes 10.6 i tunes i tried updated my phone. now my iOS 6.1.4 but i cant fix that external speakers problem. It wasnt working still. Any suggestions friends ?????

Problem with corrupted iPhone photo albums

I have a problem with my iPhone "Photos" app. When I open it is see hundreds of "ghost" albums in the Albums tab. I have tried to turn off syncing photos in iTunes and then turn it back on again, and so deleting all albums and photos and then re-applying- but no luck.  I also tried to sync with an empty folder on my Mac instead of the iPhoto library, but this still does not delete the albums. Anyone know how to nuke the photos on an iPhone and start from scratch WITHOUT having to restore the iPhone to its factory state?

corrupted contacts on iphone 4 after installing ios6

I cant add or save any contacts on my iphone 4 (new or previously existing) since installing ios6..ive attempted to resolve the problems by trying suggestions on Apple support forms, eg: turning contacts on & off in icloud and doing back ups using itunes..but my phone remains the same, im not one for understanding 'technical jargon' so can anyone give me some simple advise on how to sort this frustrating and very annoying problem?? im not overly concerned about retrieving the lost information on my phone as its a relatively new handset and i didnt have anything of great importance stored on it anyway..i just want to be able to save/add my contacts..Help please

People still having iPhone 5 wifi issues

Just wondering how wide spread the wifi issues are, because ever since my upgrade to 6.1 (which somehow corrupted my backup), I have had nothing but terrible wifi performance on my iPhone 5: terrible signal, drop outs after standby, keeps asking for security key, etc... this is really nonsense, it was perfectly fine before, and it needs to be fixed (and I've reset network, reset the router, in fact the phone is a totally fresh install due to the 6.1 mess).Anyway, if anyone has any info I'd love to hear it.Thanks

I recently started having problems with my Iphone 5 on February 1st. I've looked all over the internet for solutions and I could not find out why my audio that was playing through the audio port (through headphones) was crackling, distorted, and varying in sound. As well as the audio being affected, the control switch on the heaphones will not work either. I called apple and they had me restore my phone and after that failed, I brought it in to apple in which they replaced in with a working model. Two days after, my iphone is doing the same thing. I have decided that the backup file I used is corrupted, and hopefully an IOS 6.1.x will provide a solution, or my case that I use (Lifeproof) has affected the headphone jack. Possibly the use of the adapter that is screwed in and out has affected the hardware. I only used the adapter roughly 10 times on the new iphone 5, so I don't believe that hypothesis strongly. I was wondering if anyone is experiencing the same kind of audio problems.

Why are Maps turn-by-turn directions skipping words iPhone 3G

My iPhone 5 often drops words out of the turn-by-turn navigation voice-over. For instance, the screen reads "in 0.5 miles, turn right onto [whatever]" but the iOS Maps voice says "In half turn right onto [whatever]". It will also break off in the misslde of a word such as "turn r- onto [whatever]". This is completely reproducable and makes no difference what roads I am on or turning onto. I have tried the following:- Change the Siri voice from an American Woman to a British Man (this did not change the Maps voice, but I thought I'd try)- Change from LTE to 4G (thought it might be bandwidth)- Reset the iPhone 5 to 6.0.1 factory settings and restore from a backup- Reset the iPhone 5 to 6.0.1 factory settings and just use my iCloud account for contacts, not restoring a backup- Change from LTE to 4G (thought it might be bandwidth) It is always the same set of words. It's like the language library is corrupted but I thought for sure restoring would resolve that. I cannot find anyone else experiencing this issue - am I alone in this?

I have 20 gig of other files made up of old voice memos that have been long since deleted. in iexplorer i can see them but not delete them, there are 700 voice messages stored, and the same message is stored 72 times. i have restored a bunch of times, and read all the common fixes on the forums, with no luck. how do i free up the space? thanks for your help

iphone 4s won't syncback-up to itunes

I have had an iphone 4s since May 2012 and seem to just get problem after problem. the latest solution I was given by an apple store employee was to restore my phone and set it up from a new phone as the old back-up software may possibly be corrupted. I did this and this seemed to lead to me loosing the iphone folder of 'utilities' and therefore losing the contacts icon, notes, calculator etc. Unfortunatly when i mentioned this to an apple store employee I was told that 'it would sort it self out.' After 3 days without it sorting itself out I ended up re-syncing my iphone to i-tunes, restoring it and putting my old back-up back on.  So now, although I have all my icons and apps back I'm stuck with more issues. Everytime I try and plug my iphone into my computer using a usb cable to back-up/sync to itunes it starts and then seems to get stuck on 'stage 8 of 8.' I have tried every usb port on my laptop, I have re-started the phone and the laptop. I have left the phone connected for an hour hoping it will eventualy sync, however nothing seems to happen. Once I give up, I disconnect the iphone from itunes and diconnect the cable, however the syncing icon on the top of the iphone seems to still be going. The only solution I have found to stop this is to turn the phone off and on again.  what can I do to get the iphone to sync? before I did the restore and set up as a new phone it always synced/backed-up fine and now I'm at a loss

Ever since I updated to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4s I have had huge problems. The two major issues are that Bluetooth will no longer sync with my handsfree device, and my battery life has decreased remarkably. I used to be at somewhere around 50% battery life after an entire day of heavy use, as I write this my battery is at %39 and I'm not even half way through the day!!!! And I have barely even used my phone today. I have done everything to try and stop the battery from draining so quickly, but nothing seems to work.  This is unacceptable, especially by Apple standards. Can anybody ease my mind with news of an update, or Apple offering a downgrade to iOS 5?

Software Corruption iPhone 4

Hey everyone, im new to these forums but not to apple. i've had the iphone ever since it came out. love it. wish i could afford the macbook but thats another problem. lol. anyway, i am havin a ton of problems with my iphone getting software corruption. i have the iphone 4 and will be upgrading to the 5 on the 21st. and i dont want to have to rish my 5's life with this problem. I've had multiple genius' help me restore my iphone and set up as new due to these problems. one genius said it was because i didnt close out of the multi-tasking every once and a while. so i did that at the end of every day or every week and then a few months later, i got the issues back. restored it again and it was fine for a while.... now i have them again. i couldnt sync up with icloud and after the new restore, it will allow me to sync up to icloud. my exact question is, how am i getting my software corrupted and also, how can i save my 5 from getting it too?? little information - iphone 4 16gb. syncing with a PC on windows 7 and i have the latest software updates on my iphone and my itunes. any help would be GREATLY appreciated! iPhone 4 repeated force-close of apps

A few days ago when my girlfriend was using her iPhone 4, suddenly any app she opened would force close. Sometimes her music app would open on its own. No matter what she tried to do (reboot, backup and restore) the apps would continuely crash roughly 10-30 seconds after opening them. We went to the Apple store to have the Genius bar take a look at it. First they advised to restore and set up as a new device...we tried that, to no avail. Upon returning to the store a second time, they replaced her phone with a new device. When she got home and restored her backup the problems began occuring again. Currently we are at the idea that her backup is corrupted and she should just start from scratch. The problem with that is I would still like to find out if it is an app that is causing the corrupted backup and if backups can be recovered. The most important thing is I want to find out if there is something that can be done that she doesn't loose anything/everything.

iPhone 4 USB Receiver corrupted from Provisioning Profile

Within recent weeks I have set up a provisioning profile on my iPhone 4 and have tested my own apps on it. A few days after I installed a couple apps on my phone through Xcode, I realized that the phone wouldn't turn on, even though it had full battery. I held the home and hold buttons to restart the phone and then it turned on with a red and yellow striped screen, as if there were some hardware failure. I restarted it again and it booted up just fine, and a few more instances similar to that happened, failing to put forth a display on the screen. I scheduled a Genius Bar appointment and the Apple guy put my phone into recovery mode to get it out of developer mode to be able to see more of the crash logs. When he tried to restore it, the restoration would fail about 30% into the process, giving us an error code that said that the USB had been disconnected, even though it wasn't. He concluded that there is an internal problem (no physical hardware damage) in the USB receiver of the phone. He also mentioned that he saw other people had the same problem after they had set up their provisioning profiles. I tried restoring my phone on my Mac from backup, but it would also fail at about 30%. I tried restoring it through Xcode, but Xcode didn't even recognize that it was plugged in, although iTunes could.  The really weird part is that I could restore it to its factory settings on a PC (not restoring to backup) but not on another Mac computer (also not restoring to backup), so that I had a functional phone, but when I tried to restore to backup on my Mac after it was out of recovery mode, it would fail half way through, putting it back into recovery mode. On both Macs, it would give me the 1600-1604 USB connection errors. There's obviously something wrong with the backup, but how could Xcode have done this to my phone? and should I set up my phone for the provisioning profile again and test apps after I figure out how to fix the phone? Sorry for the long story... I felt the details were necessary.And if this is in the wrong section I apologize for that too; I couldn't find an appropriate section in the DevForums. Thank you for any/all help.

Resolution Steps iPhone iPad or iPod Touch library corrupted and showing ghost entries which will not play or music on device in iTunes but inaccessible.

Issue:  iOS Music application either has items listed in the library that will not play; or has an empty library but iTunes reports that music is present on the device and taking up space; or a combination of these issues coupled with the inability to resolve the problem through the standard resolution steps of disabling music syncing to remove all music and then re-enabling or by enabling "manually manage library" and removing the items.Additionally, attempting to restore from a back-up does not resolve the issue and the default response from the Apple Support Community is to factory restore the device and treat as new device, resulting in loss of all settings and basically starting from scratch. Cause of issue:  corrupted iOS device iTunes library (MediaLibrary.sqlitedb).  This database stores the iTunes Media records and related information such as playcount, lyrics etc.  It does not store information and settings regarding iOS Applications as far as I am aware so this should be safe. Resolution Steps:Perform a back-up to your local computer rather than iCloud if practical.  This will be quicker in the event of issues.Download a iOS device manager such as Phone View (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/) which will allow you to directly access the file structure of the device.  (This will NOT require an illegal jailbreak to be performed!)Enable the Advanced View mode so the entire disk structure is accessible.Browse to the following file:  iTunes_Control/iTunes/MediaLibrary.sqlitedbRename MediaLibrary.sqlitedb to MediaLibrary.sqlitedb-backup or similarHold down POWER and HOME on your iOS device until the Apple logo appears.  Release both buttons.When device has rebooted, connect to iTunes and synchronise it.iTunes will detect that the Media Library on the device is missing and recreate it based on the items that it has listed in the iTunes synchronisation record for the device.

iPhone now displays photo s as grey JPG box but photos are corrupted.

Maybe someone can help me here. After the update to the 5.1 iOS, my 32GB iPhone 4S is now displaying some pictures in my Camera Roll as grey boxes with "JPG" in the middle. When you select the photo, it brings up a larger version of the grey box showing the "JPG" in the middle.  I've tried to delete the photos and re-sync my phone, but each time - more pictures seem to be showing up like this. Can someone shed some light on this? Or is this a known issue? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :/

iphone photo count doesn t match settings app

I received a new iphone from the apple store and had to restore from icloud.. many of my photos ended up corrupted. i've tried to reset and clear and re-do the restore from icloud and now have just given up to deal with my broken photos and delete them off my phone.. now - in the settings app - my iphone photo count and the camera roll photo count doesn't add up. is there still something wrong with my iphone? how do i reset the count or is there something else I need to do? should i set up as new phone?

My iphone 4 screen has just become corrupted, for no apparent reason. Resetting doesn't make a difference and the same thing happened by last iphone4 and it had to be replaced. Is this a common problem - does anyone have any ideas?

Sick of changing passwords iPhone

I am fed up with iPhone/iTunes constantly asking me to change my password.  I must've changed that password 4 times in the last month alone! Why do I have to always remember to sign in and sing out of the Store in order not to confuse the Apple Server? Next up for me is an Andriod.  If I cannot have Apple smoothness and ease, I will not pay Apple prices.

My Game Center leaderboards score glitches what I iPhone 4

I have a problem that I just started experiencing, having to do with the leaderboards and game center. It would really put my conscious at easy if you would be able to answer this problem. It seems that when I raised my ranks for certain iPhone apps, such as Call of Mini: Double Shot, and Rocket Riot, it takes my rankings and updates them, then anywhere to a few minutes to a few hours after, it changes back to my old rankings I had a few days ago; of which when I first noticed the problem.  The levels gained, scores, etc, in-game, stay what I brought them to.  Here's an Example: While in-game for CoM: DS, it will let me gain levels, rack up zombie kills, etc, and change on game center once I check. But after a few hours or so, when I go back to game center, it shows my original score I had since a day or two ago. Rather than the ranking/level I just earned. Example: I was rank 207 yesterday in Highest Levels, and I played and gotten myself to rank 185, but when I check after a few horus or so, it goes back to saying my old 207 rank in levels (also applies for not showing the same amount of zombies kills I have gotten, etc). But when I play agin gain another levels and gain more zombie kills, it changes again, but then changes back. Please help me put my conscious at ease by knowing if this problem is just with me, or has been brought up before. Someone, please help me through this problem!  -Justin

iPhone freezes during backup after latest upgrade-OS4.3.5 iTunes 10.4.0.80

After updating the other day - do I have a choice? My iPhone was getting stuck in the 'backup' phase of the sync. I spent Saturday - uninstalling, reinstalling, the iPhone's stuff (apps, data, backups), as I assumed it was something in the data that had got corrupted. Anyway, by Sunday (yesterday), I'd found it was running(trying to run) a programm called applemobilebackup.exe when it was hanging,and I'd decided I was getting nowhere fast with - even tried restoring DFU mode which I read was 'last option'. So I decided to delete from my computer:iTunesQuicktimeApple App SupportApple Mobile Device SupportMobileMe Control PanelBonjourThe Folder called 'Apple' on my computerAnd anything else that I thought was related to Apple and its products. I then ran Registry Cleaner - that roots out any entries int eh registry that are not linked - ie. like for programs that are no longer on the machine.You could do this manually - it was just easier with a program. I then closed down the compuer - rebooted.Installed iTunes and Quick time Tentatively tried my iPHone again - and it backup up.Closed it down - tried again and it backed up again. Sorted. So the problem was most likely software corruption on my computer, as it updated.  And I was blaming the iPhone data. So if anyone else has this problem, that might be a solution. Good luck. Brian

Privacy Concern with Apps iPhone 3G

When is Apple going to allow the iPhone and iPad users to delete YouTube and Map applications from our devices.  Apples privacy policy indicates that with third party apps, the privacy policy is set by the third-party provider and not apple.  For Youtube and Maps that third party is Google.  I don't like Googles new privacy policy and don't wish to use their apps.  However on the Iphone Apple loads these apps, is not responsible for what happens with my information, and won't let me delete the apps - I should be able to delete these applications with the same ease that I can delete any other.  When will this change?

Can corrupted app cause voice call problems iPhone 4

My IPhone 4 on AT&T is having voice probs where I can hear the caller but the caller hears nothing but static. I backed up the phone and restored from scratch and have same problem. Went to the Apple store and they said this is caused by a corrupted app.  I've searched the community, the web, and I can find nothingrelevant where others are reporting that an app has caused this kind of problem. Is this BS?  Any help would be appreciated.

Ok this is a bit tricky: i went to ...MobileSyncBackup of old phone and copied the sms backup file named: "3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28" (there was no mddata or mdbackup extensions) I then tried to copy & replace the: 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28 in the iphone 4S back up  Then i restored from back up making sure to choose the right 4S backup file, but iTunes showed an error saying data was corrupted and the old messages did not come onto the new phone. Does iTunes hash the backup data, can it tell that the same sms file is from another phone? How to retrieve non corrupted back up files and restore to iphone 4

iphone 4 16gbIOS 5.0.1iTunes 10.5.3 History: installed iOS5 back on release date. install was interrupted, likely due to high volumes. Completed install. Initial problem noted: unable to add events to calendar. Then problem progressed to "Voice Memo" app crashing. I installed "Quick Voice" app as an alternative. Problem progressed further to an unexplained increase in "other" content on iphone. Last week I tried syncing my phone and received error message that I didn't have enough space to complete sync. Noted then that "other" content was around 5.4gb! Removed "voice memos" playlist from selected playlists to sync under music tab and noted that other content dropped to 4.5gb Synced the phone and noticed that it appeared to move through the sync process faster than usual. Sync showed "audio" content and "other" content to be the same size at about 4.5gbs.  After sync was completed I disconnected the phone and looked at the content of my phone. No apps, No music, No photo albums! SMS texts, Notes and Contacts still all intact on phone.  Tried multiple solutions including restore to fix the problem. Each time, when the phone is plugged in and mounted in iTunes, it shows audio content at 4.5gb and other content at 4.5gbs yet the phone itself has no music, no apps and no photo albums. It does still have pictures in "camera roll", though.  After trying many suggested solutions, I gave up and went to Apple store to see the Geniuses (Genii ) They did a firmware update and reset my phone. I was advised to restore from back up. However, when I tried to restore from my back up, it would fail to complete. Unable to restore from back up and sync attempts fail.  The only data I really don't want to lose is my text message history, my notes and my voice files from "Quick Voice" app.  Restoring from back up is not an option since I believe there are corrupt files in the back up. So what I want to know is can I restore my phone as a new phone, and then re-install my text message history, notes and the sound files from the "Quick Voice" app? Perhaps using a 3rd party app to retrieve those particular files from my back up and copy them to the phone directly? Or can I create a new back up file and copy those files to the new back up file. Hopefully I would then be able to restore from the newly created back up successfully since the likely corrupt files will be in the old back up file? All other information; apps, photos, music and contacts can be re-installed from iTunes.

Red lines are appearing on screen of 4s

Hey folks..i just bought 4s it's brand new...but since the 1st day red lines are appearing and then on the home screen it starts to cover screen with corrupted graphics.. yet i can figure the tools on screen..and they are properly working....as soon as i start an app it returns to normal... so if the screen is damaged.. it shouldnt work normally on apps too right? and i just noticed it does this stupid glitch on cold environment such as 14 celcius..or while on top of some cold surface... or maybe it's not....help please.

iphone 4 camera applens not opening

Is anyone else having problems with the camera app not opening on the iPhone 4? I had my screen replaced and noticed that sometimes I can open the camera and sometimes not. I already tried, the R methods and I even deleted my old backup, thinking it was something corrupted, set phone up as "new IPhone" and still nothing. Any help please!

Trouble with 3G with new Iphone 4s

Hi, new Iphone 4s, works fine until I connect to Itunes and updated saved data. Then stops working the 3G, only WIFI, any idea? It looks like the itunes copy is corrupted but I have already tried with different computers, please help, I am getting mad

IPhone backup corrupted and not visible in ITunes. Can I recover data on it

Hi, I am a Win 7 user. I recently upgraded my iphone 4 from ios 4 to ios 5. It seems that the upgrade process deletes all the data and then it recovers it from ITunes or ICloud backup. I did have only one backup and it was on ITunes. However, during the backup process I had some kind of error telling me that the backup is corrupted or something like that. Unfortunately I didnt pay enough attention to the error in order to quote it here. What happenned next is that the IPhone was stuck on the Conect to ITunes screen even thou it was already connected. Every time I was connecting the Iphone to ITunes, it was syncing, but it kept being stuck on that Connect to ITunes screen. To resolve this, I tried the Restore from a backup option by right clicking on the Iphone in ITunes. There I had only one choice of backup which was with no date. This solved the Connect to ITunes problem and the IPhone was up and running. The next problem was that once I configured the IPhone, I had no data on it - no pictures, no contacts, no anything apart programs I have downloaded previously from AppStore. A friend of mine assisted me, and showed me where the backups are stored on win 7 systems: C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup My understanding is that you have as many backups as folders in the Backup folder above. I don't see however one of the folders in the ITunes Restore from Backup list. It is the largest and oldest folder - nearly 2GB. All the rest is like 30-40mb. I believe that any chance I may have to restore any information from my IPhone is by restoring this backup and being able to upload it to the IPhone or read it somehow. My friend discovered that the .plist files are missing in this folder. In particular 4 files: info.plist, manifest.mbdb, manifest.plist and status.plist. We tried to cheat a bit by copying these files from one of the other backup folders. We also renamed some of the codes in one or two of the files, like the name of the folder, data and hour in info.plist. It didnt work. This folder remains unvisible by ITunes and therefore I cannot use it as backup. Your help is much appreciated for finding a solution on that one,Peppy

iOS 5 iPhone duplicating some calendar events when iCal events on iMac have no duplicates

I've searched in vain on these forums but can't find a problem quite like mine.  I am running- iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1- iMac with Lion OS X 10.7.2 I was using iCloud for all my calendars but found that my phone battery was draining very quickly, so decided to go back to using the iMac to sync to all devices.  I exported all my calendars (seven of them) from iCloud through iCal/File/Export/Export, and then imported them as new calendars.  I deleted my iCloud account on my phone and iCal. I then synced from iMac to iPhone and all went perfectly, except for my primary calendar (typical...).   All events for all calendars appear perfectly in iCal on the iMac.  But  my primary calendar, on my iPhone only, has duplicated nearly all the events in it.  There doesn't seem to be any pattern to those events that AREN'T duplicated - some are annual, all-day recurrences, some are one-offs. I've tried deleting the cache and the plist from the iMac library (even though, yes, the iMac iCal appears to be working perfectly), then resetting the iPhone, and resyncing - using the 'replace information on this iPhone' option for Calendars.  No luck.  I've tried re-exporting the calendar from iCloud, then re-importing, then resyncing to the iPhone.  Each time it duplicates on the iPhone, but not on the iMac. Weird - and this is driving me mental. I'm guessing the calendar might be corrupted or something - is there an equivalent plist or something that I can try deleting from the iPhone?  This has gotten beyond my skills! Pleeeeaaaassssee heeeelp!

tried to upgrade my ipone 4 via i Tunes and when it reaches 3min to finish I get msg saying file corrupted. I asked friend and he said same happens to h .How can I get upgrade iPhone 4

Tried to upgrade my Iphone 4  version 4.3.5through I Tunes but 3 min before it ends I get a msg saying file is corrupted. Asked other friends and say they could not upgrade either.Did not have this problem before. Any suggestions on how to upgrade? tks

iPhone 4-All Data gone after iOS5 update

My coworker has an iPhone 4 but her home computer doesn't have a version of iTunes new enough to update the phone to iOS5. I installed iTunes and backed up the phone on her work computer and when I went to updated it to iOS5, everything was gone. Apps, contacts, pictures... everything! I had this problem with my own iPhone 4, so I restored from backup and all was well. However, when I tried with hers, it says there was an error (-50) and asks me to continue the restore and I say yes, but nothing.  There are 4 backups in my backup folder, but even when I used iPhone Backup Restore, it says there is no data in the backup. Are my backups corrupted? Is there any way to recover data?

I receive error code-1 when I attempt to update my iphone 4 to iOS 5

So... I've finally wanted to get iOS 5. The problem? First, it was apparently a corrupted download, and as such, somehow wiped my phone. Fair Enough, I'll restore it. But wait... I need to receive iOS 5. Cool, no problem. This should be an easier way to get the new update anyways, hassle-free! Right...?Nope. I receive Error code -1 (Will provide screenshot when I attempt to update again.) I've looked through the discussion boards, I've googled it, I've asked friends and yet I'm unable to find an answer. It extracts the software (I've downloaded it 8 times now) perfectly, begins the restore process, then randomly (always a random spot while restoring) stops restoring, the bar and apple logo disappear from my phone, and gives me this error code. Could I get some help as to what it could mean, what I can do, or any other solutions? Thanks in advance,Charles.

Iphone 3GS restoration error after iOS5 update

Just updated to iOS5, except that it won't complete the process on itunes. Won't restore my phone at all, error message says could not restore phone because backup was corrupted or not compatible with the phone you're trying to restore. I don't want to lose everything on my phone, how can I fix this?

How I get my bluetooth connection to work on iPhone an stop airplay from trying to send music to car radio

The bluetooth shuts off randomly. I was having trouble with bluetooth shutting off on my last iphone 4  so I took it to Apple store and they replaced it. Now after all the hassle and hours setting up, I still have the problem. In addition, when the bluetooth is working all my music tries to use airplay with Honda audio bluetooth connection and no sound comes out. What a mess!
