Call confirmation without jailbreaking prevent accidental call iPhone 3G

I found an app that provides a call confirmation without jailbreaking the phone called "Group Contact." in settings, if you turn 'return to the app after phone call" on, you get the message "you will be alerted before making the call, and the app will be re-opened after the call." Before every call, a call confirmation is delivered, which solves my problem perfectly!

iphone 4s slider mechanism

i have an iphone 4s , of course the warranty expired a little over a month ago. The slider mechanism does not work. I've tried turning the phone on and off, restored to factory settings. nothing seems to work. I've never dropped the phone or had any kind of water damage. I've  taken the phone to the Apple store. They have opened it , No damage has been done to it whatsoever but they won't replace it unless I pay $200.00 , which I can't afford right now. very frustrated. Any other suggestions?

My iPhone 4 front camera isn't working HELP

My iphone 4 front camera is not working. I can use the regular camera however when i try to switch to the front camera it either freezes or does nothing. I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, restarting it, and resetting it but nothing has worked. Does anyone know if this problem is a sofware or hardware problem? And any ideas about what i can do to fix it other than what i have already done?

Today I completed a software update for my iPhone 5 without backing it up because I did not receive a warning that all my data would be erased and so, did not realize it would be an issue. Upon completing the update, I realized my mistake but figured it was too late to revert the damage and continued with the restoration of my phone to its factory settings. After completing the update, I realized just how much data was lost (including important notes with financial information and images and videos of recent trips around Europe). Now I am desperate to try to recover the data deleted in the update. Is there any chance at all that I can recover something? The notes and videos are most important to me. I am also missing many Messages but that is less important to me. Can anyone please help? Any response is greatly appreciated!

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-settings/Facebook-settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? Apple ID conflict iPhone 3G

I have a new iPhone 5.  In settings, my Apple ID is correct.  In the App Store, when I go to "Featured" and look down at the bottom, my Apple ID is correct.  However, it tells me I have 55 updates and when I hit "update all," it brings up an old Apple ID that I have not used in years.  Help! 

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

I have Iphone 5 here in Oman. But there is no any option of Enable LTE in cellular settings. Why is it so? I have an iPhone 3g and my wifi wasn't working at all! The wifi button wasn't working like I couldn't press it at all, so my brother told me to erase my iPhone. I backed it up and erased my iPhone, it didn't work so he told me to jailbreak it because he thought maybe since my iPhone was originally jailbroken it might just need it to be jailbroken again. I did that and when I looked at it again ALL apps were gone! There were no settings, safari, or app store nothing, it was just a blank page! (A blank page with, oddly enough, my same wallpaper still) When I tried to search up things on the iPhone it was found, but it said it was not loaded at all. Help anyone??

Re Iphone 4s wifi

My iphone 4s no longer allows me to connect to any wifi connections. The option is greyed out and wont let me do anything to it. I have tried restarting and resetting the network connections and all  settings but this has not worked. The wifi came back briefly randomly at one or two points but could not find any wifi networks. I have read on the internet it is probably a hardware problem so I will be taking it back to apple next week. Just wondered if anyone had any further ideas about the problems?

iPhone 5 Frequently Crashes to Apple Logo and Screen Lock

I have an iPhone 5 64 GB running iOS 6.1.4 on AT&T. Over the past ~ three days, have noted that the iPhone randomly "crashes".  Could be when I am using an app.  Could be when I am making a phone call.  Could be when it is simply connected to the power cord and haven't touched it at all. The cycle is as follows: Screen suddenly goes blankThe white Apple logo (which typicaly appears during boot-up) appears for 3 - 5 secondsI hear the "chirp" that normally sounds at the end of boot-upThe iPhone lock lock screen then appears Sometimes, when the phone emerges from lock screen, the brightness is about half of what it was prior. I have not been able to isolate this behavior to a specific set of circumstances.  When it occurs during a phone call, the call is interrupted / other party is silenced, but if I swipe at lock screen, the call resumes (the other party notes that I went silent during duration). I have re-started / re-booted the iPhone 15 times.  I have cleared all apps from the cache.  I have disabled all notifications and location services.  I have done a Reset All settings on iPhone and restored from iCloud.  I have done a Restore from iTunes.  The problem continues. I would say that this crash cycle occurs about every 30 - 60 minutes.  As noted, many times when I'm not even touching / using the iPhone. Have also noted that when not connected to power supply, the iPhone is quite warm, and battery drain is at an accelerated rate of 3x to 4x of "normal", worse than prior iOS 6 related battery issues.  Have also tried all the usual battery saving tricks - wifi is off, GPS is off, EQ is off, etc. Any thoughts before I head to the Genius Bar? Thanks! TCF

Hi, I have an iPhone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with Skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto

To Change Apple ID on iPhone 3S

Using iPhone 3GS to change Apple ID:  go to settings; then to  Itunes & App Stores, tap your old Apple ID and sign out.  When you sign out it will let you enter a new email, (Apple ID) and (I hand already changed my ID on the Apple Store but not my password) .  So I was able to use the same password.  It already had my credit card info but made me verify the security code.  Easy, just needed to know WHERE to go.

All of a sudden I lost my wifi signal....Checked out the settings and the WiFi is off and unable to turn it back on....i have powered down the phone...i have done a full restore and the wifi switched remains greyed out....any suggestions?

Battery Life Degraded After Restoring from Jailbreak iPhone 4

I recently did a jailbreak on my phone and decided I didn't like it. I restored the phone to Apple factory settings and everything is fine except the battery. It will not hold a charge more than a few hours -- and that's on STANDBY, not actually using the phone or making calls! Is there anything else I need to do to erase all traces of the jailbreak? Or is there anything I can do to improve my battery life? I've already done the following: 1) lowered the screen brightness2) close programs when not in use3) changed auto-lock time to 1 minute (the shortest possible)

Okay so first my iPhone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iPhone 5 and restored my old settings to the iPhone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iPhone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

I am unable to switch on wifi to find a network. I have done a hard reset and a factory reset, I have reset my network settings and still no joy. I would return it to the apple store but its 1 month out of warranty.

iPhone 5 on Verizon upgraded to 6.1.4 (over the air, not via iTunes) has resulted in the phone giving priority to 3G in areas where LTE is available. I am able to get LTE when I disable and enable the radoio (Airplane Mode). Unless I force this, my phone is either on WiFi or 3G.  LTE is enabled (settings -> General -> Cellular -> Enable LTE: On).  Is anyone else experiencing this?

HELP S card not compatible after being in Apple store iPhone 5

I went to an Apple store with my 3gs as i have a few problems the girl restored my phone back to factory settings.  When i came home i conected my phone to itunes it says  only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iphone.  please insert the sim card that came with your iphone or visit a supported carriers store to receive a replacement sim card. my sim card is inserted so has the girl that works at the apple store broke my phone.  can someone please help as i live quite a bit away from an apple store. Ashley

iPhone 4s Mail App using Gmail-Username or password for account incorrect

I recently changed my Gmail password for my Gmail account while on my desktop pc. Then on my iPhone 4s, I configured the Google app (for the first time) for my Gmail account. This worked fine. I went back to the default iPhone Mail app (in settings) which was already configured with my Gmail account (and was previously working). I figured I would be prompted to change my password - which I was. But it wouldn't accept the change. So I then deleted the account and tried to set it up again. It still won't work. It continues to say the username or password for the account is incorrect.  Can you not have the same Gmail account configured in both places - the Mail app and the Google app? Thoughts?Thanks!Lori

Hi My Wifi recently stopped working after I updated my iPhone 5 software version to 6.1.4.  Ive already reset my network settings but that didnt help. Plus my WiFi screen doesnt appear in grey.I cant really find the problem and i was wondering if anyone else would know about it or has the same experience?

I try to avoid updates on my iPhone because it's either hit or miss and after the latest update that was released a couple days ago, my worst fear happened.  It updated then I left it alone to update.  After over an hour I come back and the "connect to iTunes" image appeared and nothing worked.  Once iTunes was restarted it said I needed to restore my phone to factory settings. This is ridiculous and very frustrating.  I'm not going to lie, several of my friends have Samsung Galaxy S3's or Notes and they seem way more verstitle and reliable then my iphone.  Any suggestions?

Hi there, Im scott, I dont own an iphone so know nothing whatsoever about them. this is our issue pls help :   My sister purchased an iphone 4 from a woman at her work. Her husband upgraded to iphone 5 so sold his old one to my sister. My sister currently has a blackberry on contract to virgin media here in England. She took her BB along with her new iphhone to a local phone shop They cut her simcard down to size and put it into the iphone. When we turned it on we got this message 'only compatible sim cards from a support carrier....... '  I called our current contract to exdplain what we were intending to do and swap settings from a blackberry to her new iphone... they said we needed to contact the original service provider... here lies our issue.  My sister works as a nurse.. she called her collgue to explain all this and ask what network he was on. She doesnot kno and her husband isnt home for another cpl weeks he is military. My sister doesnt want to wait a few weeks to use her new phone. Is there anyway to unlock and activate this phone giving all the detials of the phone and confirmation from his wife regarding the new user ?  Ive read on the internet about jailbraking and all that nonsense.. but i dont want to damage the phone.. It isnt stolen isnt lost sureley i dont have to 'hack' into a perfectly legitimate phone to use do i?   My sister simply wants it to work with her contracted sim .. with the benifits and features iphone offers. Restore iPhone 4s as NEW

My iPhone 4s has a bad operating system (confirmed at Apple Store)  I was given a new device and we restored my settings, etc. from backup.  I was warned that there was a possibility of the glitchy iOS being transferred to the new device.  Well after a couple weeks, this proved true.  Next step is to restore device as NEW.  Before I attempt this, I would like to be as prepared as possible to avoid losing anything permanantly.  I am looking for advice with this - since I won't be able to restore from a backup, will I need to create a new iCloud account?  Can I remove previous backups from both iTunes and iCloud?  Thanks in advance for any help! This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the phone new in January and it's beyond frustrating!

I updated my iPhone 5 to 6.1.4 and the camera will not focus - on anything nearby or far away. I've tried the zoom feature - makes it worse. I'm restoring the phone to factory settings, but is there something Apple is doing to fix this bug? An unscientific survey of my Facebook friends reveals they are having the same issue.

I do not so much have a question, but a statement:  I did the upgrade to iOS 6 last night.  I had to delete a lot of apps to make room for the upgrade and did a small icloud back up to save space.  But, after waiting and seeing the upgrade time kept going up and up, I just went to bed.  Woke up in the middle of the Night to check and my phone said to connect to iTunes.  When I did, it told me I had to restore my phone.  So I had no choice because, it would not leave the connect to iTunes message on my screen otherwise.  This is a horrible glitch!

This has been going on for a while now. It did have some sort of hot and cold phase. E.g. one day the speaker for Siri works then the next it doesn't. But now it doesn't work completely. It's been really bugging me.  I've been hearing a lot of rumours that the iPhone 5 has had loads of technical problems. Such as, delivered broken and certain other things that do not work. Knowing if this is true, I do not know. However, the iPhone still works when I am on the phone to people.  People have suggested to me to restore my phone to factory settings. I have backed it up onto my PC, then did a full restore, then restored my backup. Problems with syncing iPhone 5

I have Iphone 5 and try to sync it with my computer (Windows 7 Max.). I have already installed ITunes and verified my computer in AppStore. But anyway I have problems with syncing applications. For example, I've downloaded Translator and tried to install it to Iphone. I've clicked "Sync" in window "Programs", but it goes only up to the third step from four and fails. In window rights it is shown, that this program is already installed, but when I turn off my Iphone from computer, I check and can see, that programs were not installed.My computer is also already verified, so that I can connect it with Iphone. In common settings on Iphone I have already turned on restrictions so that I can install applications. Could you tell me what should I do? I hope that someone had the same problem.

I have a iPhone 4 and it's always connected to wifi perfectly but a couple weeks it just stop connecing to my home wifi. How I restore my Outlook calendar after it got deleted when I synchronized it with my iphone

I synchronized my iPhone with iTunes and my Outlook calendar.  By doing so, I deleted all of my Outlook calendar events in Outlook and on my iPhone.  How do I reverse that action?  I tried restoring my iPhone with the backup.  When I do this, my calendar events come back on my iPhone but as soon as I plug it into my computer, it syncs with iTunes and deletes everything all over again.  I have tried changing the sync settings to not sync the calendar but it still synchronizes and deletes everything.  PLEASE HELP!
