iPhone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iPhone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iPhone. Recently my friend bought an iPhone too, when i compared our iPhones, i found out that his iPhone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iPhones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

iOS 6.1.4 Overheating High Battery Consumption iPhone 5

Having issues with iOS 6.1.4 heating up (in standby) and high battery consumption in standby. It's not consistant but I will, sporatically, notice my phone warming up, in my pocket, to pull it out, turn the screen on and then off again and it'll cool down.Battery consumption is also very high (worse than iOS 6.1 update issue) and is drained quickly. I've closed all active applications (but mail and calendar as I need for work) and still will occur.

Touch Screen Insensitivity iPhone 5

Is anyone having issues with a lack of sensitivity  of iPhone 5 screen. I am having to touch items several times to select or scroll the screen, when it does scroll it "jumps" to catch up making it hard to operate smoothly. I Also notice that the screen appears to have shifted up slightly cutting off top of wi-fi and battery symbols. These symptoms don't always happen and I cant be sure I can show them to a Genius. This my 4th iphone, so my expectations are only what I have experienced with the others.

Red screen iPhone 5

I have had problem with my iphone 5. It have been switching off with out any notice. Today we could not turn it on again. We only got the apple sign. After awhile we got an error message and the screen turned red, all red! What should we do?

iphone 4s battery draining

Hi, I've recently noticed that my iphone 4s battery is draining very quickly. Normally, I would charge my phone overnight and it would last the whole day. Recently i've noticed that my battery drains extremely quickly, just now its gone from 55% one minute to 35% the next! Earlier today, in 3 hours my battery went from 100% to 15%.  Does anybody know how to fix this? Ive seen some articles saying that people notice that their iphone batteries drain fast after the 6.1.3 update, but I downloaded this a while before my battery has been playing up. I would appreciate any help/tips! Thanks

iPhone 4s battery meter unsolved mystery

I have an iPhone 4S. In January, I started to notice that it would die at 30-40%. Gradually, it started to stay stuck at 100% almost all day then die around 60-70%. Then it went completely bonkers. It would go from full charge to 15% to 0% in minutes. Plug it in and it would go from 0% to fully charged instantly. I took it to Genius Bar, diagnostics showed the battery was fine and they told me to restore it and set it up as a new phone. That didn't solve the problem. Went back that day and this time, the diagnostics showed the battery was bad so they replaced it. It worked normally for a little bit before it started doing the same thing again. So I took it back and they replaced the phone. After a few weeks, the same thing happened with the new phone... stuck at 100% for a long time, dies at ~70% (keep in mind I set it up as a new phone so rule out any software issues from a previous backup of the original phone). At this point, I'm thinking it's a faulty charger or something that's screwing up the hardware. So I was back in the Apple Store again. They replicated the problem and told me to restore the phone and set it up as a new device. Having been through this before, I asked them to restore it right then and there because I knew it wasn't going to fix it. Sure enough, it happened after the restore. So they replaced the phone again. That was three weeks ago. I started using a completely different charger (Apple charger, not third-party) and even changed outlets, but the new phone is doing the same thing again. Over the weekend it died at 48%, then 50%, now 56%. I don't know what to do anymore. I can probably go get the phone replaced again, but it probably won't make a difference. Any suggestions? I've done several hard resets, tried to calibrate the battery, let it run out completely and sit there for a couple hours before plugging it back in...nothing works.

Hairline gap on top bottom and right side between steel band and plastic iPhone 4

i purchased iPhone 4 , 5 days ago and i notice slight gap (as shown in pics).I could easily insert piece of paper inside the gaps..this gap is at top, bottom and on right side (near SIM tray) . should i be worried? will Apple service centre replace it with a new one OR REFURBISHED ONE ? . I live in India (New Delhi). 

Battery Duration iPhone 5

Hi,I have notice that with the new upgrade of iOS 6.1.3 in my new iPhone 5 the battery duration it is decrease a lot with the same use. Before also two days with one chard and now, with the upgrade only six-nine hours. LTE data and bluetooth are disable. There's someone who could tell me an explanation or maybe a solution???? charging not supported with this accessory iPhone 4

Has anyone come across this problem? It started at 3am this morning. The noise the phone makes when you first connect it to the charger was going off every few seconds. Since then it kind of charges then eventually jumps to the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" notice.  Not sure what else to try. Its on the latest software version etc and I have tried 3 chargers and plugging it into the laptop but no joy.  This is the 2nd iphone 4 I have had in 2 years. First one the home button broke after 7 months and this one is now doing this.  I have seen lots of post about this but cant seem to find a solution.

Had iPhone 5 for 3 weeks with an Otterbox Defense Case on it and already defect

I purchased my iPhone 5 on 3/15/2013 and the salesperson at Sprint put the phone in the Otterbox Defense case while I was purchasing the phone. I dropped my phone from less than two feet that night with the case on. I did not notice any cracks or scratches until three weeks later. I am seriously hurt and extremely mad that the warranty is so limited, especially in less than 30 days, to not replace the phone for free. I have dropped my last phone, an HTC, multiple times and did not even have a nice, durable cover like the Otterbox Defense case and I never scratched or cracked the screen. Now, I have to pay $229 for a new iPhone, which I just spent $250 for one three weeks ago! I really love Apple products, but this infuriates me.

iPhone stop letting me make calls texts and use Internet. Can power off and turn back on only to be able to use it for few minuets and it seems to only happen at home. iPhone 4S

April 02 I got home about 9am and was trying to use my phone to send a text and notice that I was unable to send one. I kept getting the red ! telling me that my text wasn't sent so I tried making a call without success. I kept getting call failed. So I attempt to look something in the Internet and I would either get the busy icon or the network timed out message.  So I thought my service had been disconnected for some reason so I called AT&T to explain what was going on and to find out if my service had been interrupted without me knowing about it and the cust rep had me power down the phone and turn it back on and test it out and it appeared to be working until I got back home and it started all over again. I found myself having to power it off and on just so I could do things with it. Today I come to realize that this problem seem to only happen when I am home. I don't know what has changed at my home to cause this to be happening. I don't know what to do to fix this problem. Do anyone know what it could be.

noticed higher battery usage with new iOS update on iPhone 5

Has anyone else notice since the new iOS that the battery drains down a lot faster?

Iphone 5 womans phone .

So I get my iphone 5, open the package ...and right away drop it to the floor...what the?  I pick it up and start it up......all goes well. I notice it's much lighter and smoother then the other iphones, .....the next day it slips out of my hand again....all's well, and I immediately go the store to buy a case(flip).....and install the case....and drop it again...what? I'm starting to think there is something seriously wrong with me. So this goes on for some time, frequently dropping it, I find I get afraid of picking it up, it's an expensive phone and I don't  want to ruin it...until finally the screen cracks, a hairline fracture, but still cracked....and I'm not happy. At the Applestore I explain my misfortune....and they just give me a new one! Well this is great, it's because it's a hairline fracture and it's not supposed to do that....but I get afraid again of taking my new phone out of my pocket in fear of dropping it again. I search the internet for a solution....found it: An Otterbox Defender Case....a bit bulky, but it feels very secure, sturdy...and actually now it feels like I have a man's phone again. Then it dawns on me....the iphone 5 is a womans phone....they like it smooth and light....thank me I made my phone into a man's phone again. Anybody else have any thoughts on this one...or am I just a very clumsy guy (Yeah I know...!)

iPhone 4 randomly losing contacts

Hey everyone, I have an iphone 4 and over the past few weeks it has just randomly been losing my contacts.  I have them all backed up in my computer, but it is still annoying and worrisome.  I don't have iCloud syncing turned on, nor does it happen after I have synced or anything.  It will just happen in the middle of the day while it is sitting on my desk.  I'll look over to answer a text or something and notice all my contacts gone and my texts and phone calls are just listed by numbers.  It has only been happening recently.  I have 1.6 GB of space left (of a 16 GB iphone 4) so I don't think it is a space issue, but what do I know?  Could it be deleting my contacts because its out of room?  I'm totally at a loss.  Geez.  Any help?

Update 6.1.3 Unable to Restore iP5 iPhone 5

First synce after coming home, I received the "New Update" notice for ios 6.1.3, and procedded as usual.  After about 10 min received error 1603 "ips could not be updated, an unknown error occurred (1603).  Phone was in recovery mode.  Shut down itunes, and removed the phone.  When I connect the phone this morning, itunes recognized the phone being in the recovery mode, and the only way to proceed was to restore to factory default settings.  I procedded, only to get error -1 after about 2 minutes!  How to proceed without losing everything.  I assume when I first connected the phone yesterday the synce did the backup, but not sure.

Why EQ equalizer function in iPod settings in my iPhone 4 keep turning itself off

I'll notice my music sounds flat, too much treble, etc... go into iPod settings and sure enough the equalizer is set of OFF again.  I reset it to rock or bass boost or whatever.  And it then it might be another hour or 3 days later but it turns itself off again.  There doesnt seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason as to when it does this or why.  Annoying.   Any ideas? I have iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1

iPhone 5 WiFi deadly slow

Hi, I have an iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.2) and a new iPad (third generation), and both devices are connected to my WiFi network. My AirPort Express runs firmware 7.6.3 and its wireless security is set to WPA2 Personal with radio mode 802.11n (b/g compatible). I cannot precise when I first notice the problem. Not sure if was before the AirPort Express update or some iOS firmware update. The problem is that my iPhone 5 WiFi is deadly slow. It's virtually impossible to download an app from the AppStore or sync Rdio songs. My iPad's WiFi (and my wife's) is working as expected, though. Things I've tried so far: - I've changed my AirPort Express security to WEP- I've changed my AirPort Express to 802.11n- I've changed my AirPort Express to 802.11n 5GHz- I've reseted the Network Settings- I've tried to download apps using other 802.11n connection (at my parent's)- I've tried to download apps using a "unsecure" network- I've restored my iPhone 5 to 6.1.2 using iTunes (setting it as a new iPhone) I have no idea what to do next... EDIT: - I also did some tests with the Airplane mode ON, just to make sure the iPhone was connected to and using the wifi connection to download the apps and sync Rdio songs.

Iphone 4s Screen Flicker on Dark Monotone Backgrounds

Hi all, My iPhone 4s has this very faint flicker in the screen you can only really notice when the screen is on a singular dark colour, and it's very faint you almost thing it's your eyes but I've had three other people look at it to confirm it isn't just my sight degrading!  I have an appointment with a Genius tomorrow in the hope of getting a replacement (Will I be able to get one? - it's in warranty), but anyone got any idea?  It's not water damage all the sensors are white.   Bust LCD?  I'm praying to god they don't want to send it off for repair that'd be a massive pain in the backside! Thanks in advance,Chris

iPhone runs warm iPhone 5

Hi!Apologize if this question has been submitted multiple times.  I just got an iPhone 5 within the last few days to replace the lemon of a Droid that I had.  I've noticed that as I surf, email, text, FB... the norm, that the phone runs warm.  So far, it hasn't gotten excruciatingly hot, or anything, but I usually turn all apps off to let it cool after I notice.  Is this normal??  Other friends of mine also have the phone but say they haven't noticed it.  Just concerned that it may need to be replaced.

iphone 4s keeps losing contacts and needing to redownload from icloud

Dear all, Ever since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS6 (which apparently in many aspects is a bad decision), I discover my contacts are emptied from time to time. It is apparent in occasions when there are apps needing to access the contact list (with instant messenging apps like Whatsapp, Line etc, or even the Contacts App itself), and once the disappearing happens, I need to wait the contact list updates (downloads) itself with the entries from iCloud. I also believe the same happened in the background when I do not notice it, because I usually set different ringtones for certain people in my contact list, when the list goes empty and is filled again back from icloud, I will lose all ringtone settings. So I believe this irritating bug must be happening few times everyday sometimes without me noticing. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, and would like to see if Apple would be able to do something about it. This is annoying because if I input a new contact on my phone through the contact app, when this bug happens, I will definitely lose the newly added entries. So to be safe, now when I need to add a new contact, I have to do it on a computer, accessing icloud.com and add directly to the icloud records. It's the first problem I experienced with my iphone for the years I have used the iphone products, but is also a critically fatal one...

iphone 4 sluggish and slow

My iphone 4 is become very slow and sluggish.  Whilst typing it takes a few seconds for the characters to appear on the screen.  Applications are slow. Also notice that simple taks such as taking a picture is slow.   Also noticed tge battery charge is lasting long either.  This has been going on for about 1 week now

Warranty question iPhone 5

I recently called Apple and asked if an iPhone 5 purchased in the US is covered by International warranty for service in country like Singapore. The Apple rep said yes it would be covered, however he said it would be at the discression of the apple shop in Singapore if they wanted to service the phone or not. After reading the US warranty, I see it says: Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device. This seems that Apple only may restrict warranty to country of purchase... meaning it is not definitive.  If the warranty was restricted to the US, wouldn't it say "Apple restricts warranty service ... "? It also says in the US warranty: You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Apple Product cannot be serviced in the country it is in. notice the last part "if the Apple Product cannot be serviced in the country it is in", seems to mean I could try to get a iPhone serviced in Singapore at the apple store, but maybe they will refuse and I must send it back to the US.  If the US iPhone warranty was really only limited to the US, why not just say that in the warranty, why include that sentance above? Can anyone clarify the warranty policy for a US iphone purchased in the US and needs service in Singapore?  Can anyone point to the sentance/section in the US warranty that states the warranty is only good for service in the US?

Brand new iPhone 5 rattling sound

I went to get the iPhone 5 when it came out. During the first week having the phone, I realised that there is a faint "rattle-like" sound in it.Very faint, I didn't notice till I was home alone. It sounds like a loose piece in the phone. My friends don't have the same problem. Though my dad who got his iPhone a week ago has the exact same problem.Could somebody pleaseeee have some suggestions with what I should do ? I haven't had time to head to an apple store, I was wondering is anybody having the same problem ?The wifi doesn't stay connected as well! The phone freezes and the brightness changes - when I haven't changed anything in settings :SMy biggest worry is just that rattle sound.

iphone 5 english used in Germany update problem account not valid

HiI am using iphone 5 english language in Germany..I had a notification of two app updates yesterday which I wanted to do.Once in a sudden I get a notice saying :"Account not in this store.Your account is not valid for use in the U.S. store.You must switch to the German store before purchasing." I had not changed anything.I connected the phone via cable to my computer and had a look at the store to see to which country it is set there...Germany.So there is no problem with that.Just on the phone it is set to the US and I do not know how to change that.I went to the apple store and clicked (at the bottom )on change country ..but nothing happens.Any idea what I can do?Thanks Tina

Solution for battery issue on 3G usage iPhone 5

Everybody, if you want a simple n definite solution for 3G usage, here's the method.According to apple, 8 hours on 3G usage. I believe the term of usage means actively browsing or anything that keeps your 3G sending n receiving data.Here's the simple way to test the result. Double tap home button, end all task.Have your 3G on, u may use safari or Facebook to do the test, if FB, just keep scrolling down and keep de data run. Same goes to safari, continuously surfing and see how many % drops. I've run through this test with all i5 user regardless ios 6.0.1 to 6.1And the result was 1% drop every 2min +/-Simple math - lets make it 3 min so 100% x 3min = 300 min so approximately 5 hours 30min or so.Having said that, it was 5hrs usage, not including 3G on in standby mode.In 6.0.1 the 3G in standby mode is fine, I don't get to notice the battery drop everytime I unlock de phone for useBut in 6.1, so far I tested was the battery drop 1% every 6min in standby mode. As for the wifi, it does fix the sudden network drop but the poor coverage remain. My 5yrs old Nokia E71 have full bars of wifi from my room, but i5 is 1bar, if I'm lucky, sometimes 2bar. The 3G usage tested was done through all the new iPhone 5.Kindly post your result and if everyone is experiencing 1% decrease every 2min + then I suggest all of us send a ticket to Apple so that they hear us and make de change instead of playing a fool out of us.So called the worlds most advanced software system, my foot. iPhone 5 32GB 6.1

Yellow Spot on my iPhone 5 Screen

Hi I know the iPhone 4 had a major problem with Yellow spots and streaks on the screen, well I have one on my iPhone 5. I've had the phone for around a month now, I didn't notice the yellow streak which is on the top right side, untill the phone got really hot one day when using it for a long time on 3G. I't fades when the phone gets colder. for the iPhone 4 issue the solution was that it was because of the glue they used on the phone not drying out, and to leave it and it will go away...well after a month it hasn't gone away. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm about to call my providor and see if I can get a replacement before it's too late.

Random sentence in my text msg i didnt write or speak iPhone 5

This morning i was having a conversation with my boss via Imessage. I have an iphone 5, and he has a 4S. I typed the following paragraph and the sentence "im not at work, im off today" showed up in the middle. I didnt notice it until after the boss asked me about it. How does this happen?????  I didnt use siri, i was typing by hand throughout all of the conversation.  BOSS:The curator was down all night. Global fix the issue at 5:30 this morning. It is now not working again and global is working on it now. I just called Scott and let him know. I left him a message on his cell phone.  I just sent this message to  nate also.  ME: I'm not in the office I'm off today. I didn't know all of that had gone on, so I logged a ticket 15 mins ago.

My iphone 4 only turns on when plugged into charger

My iphone 4 only turns on when plugged into a charger.Previously, it had minimal water damage but I successfully got it in working order - restored it, dl'd apps, made calls, played music fully functional (or so I thought).There is nothing wrong with the lcd, visually, or phsyically, I am able to see and flip through apps.On the flip side, once I unplug the iphone from the charger, when it is inactive and on sleep mode, it doesn't want to turn back on, unless I plug it in to the charger.  Note, as soon as I plug it in, it will turn the phone on whilst taking a picture of the screen... as if I pressed the sleep and home button simulatenously to take a photo of the current on the iphone. Everytime, it doesn't fail. Now that the battery is fully charged, it won't turn on even when I do plug it into the charger.I tested if my phone was really off by calling it but its not considering that it doesn't go straight to voicemail, it just continues to ring then goes to voicemail after the normal duration of not picking up.Lastly, one thing I notice is that the backlight of the iphone 4 is still on for some reason, like a dim light thats only noticable when you the lights are turned off. I know this is lengthy but I'm in need of help on pin pointing the issue. Any feedback would be much appreciated thanks!

iPhone 5 acting weird

Every day encountering the problem of losing signal ("no signal") even after update to iOS 6.0.2. I didn't notice any battery problems. IPhone 4S keeps shutting off randomly and it's back panel on one side stands a bit loosy. It didn't fall and maybe it will sound strange but i didnt notice that before, though it's case cover has never totally fit it from that swollen side. But i thought it's a case problem. Using my iphone already for several months. But unfortunately I didn't notice that before, coz actually if you don't look at this side so carefully it stays insensible. The cover that didn't fit from the very beginning was bought about 1,5 month ago. Problems such as battery being crazy and dropping from 50% to 20% in one second or shutting down at 20% started coming after updating to 6.0.1 so I thought it all coz of ios. I bought my iphone from another country so it took me a while to reach the service center of the shop. They checked and told that there was no battery broblem, they also reloaded all the system but they probably didn't see back part problem. Now I came back but found out that there are these new problems. So stressed. Going to send my Iphone to that service again. Do you have any idea why might it happen and what may be the solution? Please help.

iphone 5 bent at-volume button

I took off my case the other day and noticed the top part of my new iPhone 5 is slightly bent forward. You dont notice it with a quick glance but when you look closely you notice it. I then checked out my other case (Incipio Dual Shine Pro) and noticed it is also slightly bent on the solid piece. If placed on a flat surface, it doesnt lay completely flat (the phone or Incipio case). My otter box does lay completely flat however. I believe like the case has been that way the whole time and left it in the case for a week and a half while i took a cruise. Is it possible the Case caused it to bend from being left sitting in a drawer for so long? The phone hasnt been abused, dropped, or handled in a bad way yet.

iPhone 5 dropshangs LTE connection

Does any one else notice that the iPhone 5 will randomly drop your LTE and then hang on LTE with out working? This happens all the time to me, almost daily now. What I have to do each time is put my phone in Airplane mode and then turn Airplane mode off and instanly LTE is working. It seems this is noticable when sending a text. It will hang for minutes and not send. Shows I'm on LTE but not sending the text. Why doesn't it switch over to 4G?  This is a software/hardware issue with the iPhone that needs to get fixed. I want to like the iPhone 5 but this iPhone has been the buggest of them all.

can't get into my iPhone 4S

The not enough storage notice for iCloud is on my lock screen and I can't get it off nor can I unlock my phone or turn it off. I really could use some help on getting my phone to work again. Please help.

I am not sure how but from the past couple of days I notice that the App download icon has vanished from my Iphone 4S model. Can anyone explain how I can get this back or reinsalled please.

Something sounds loose in iPhone 5

I just bought my iphone 5 and recently I started to notice that there is a rattle when shakes lightly or tap at the back head of iPhone 5. So far, I read the other people's post, are all iPhone 5 the same, making rattles? Wondering whether I should get it replaced or .. !  Thanks

Re Front Glass Breakage iPhone 4

Hi!I am from India. On a very serious note, I would like to bring into your notice about Apple Policies which are not favorable for customers like us.I was working in Singapore and purchased this phone. 6 months back I shifted to India and by accident my phone fell down on my desk from my pocket and the front glass got cracked. I went to Apple Service center in my city. STRANGELY they told me to go to Singapore to show this problem and they can't attend this problem as phone is not purchased in India. Now do you think it's possible to flew from one country to another for getting the phone repaired/checked??Pls let me know where should I put up my complain.Thanks and RegardsAmit Pasari

iPhone 5 no signal bars fault

So I bought my iPhone 5 brand new sealed in a box. Opened it up, put in my new Tesco nano Sim and everything is working absolutely fine...for about 3 days. 2 days ago I get off the tube and I notice my phone has 3G (which works), says my carrier (Tesco) but shows no signal bars, just 5 horizontal lines. I call up Tesco and they have no idea... I take matters into my own hands and take my sim out and put it in my friends iPhone 5 - it works, full service and 3G. However, his sim goes into mine with the same problem...insinuating its my phone with the issue!I've tried, hard resets, airplane mode switching, network settings reset, resetting everything. Nothing works. Anyone have any clues? I'm absolutely stumped. It worked perfectly for about 3 days and then decided to stop working...and is definitely my phone, not the sim. I can use 3G, just no signal so I can't make or receive calls or texts Any ideas?CheersMatt

iPhone 5 finish easily damaged

I am thrilled with the 5 but have discovered the bezel is very easily scratched.Naturally, I have been polishing my new toy, even that appears to mar the edges. Of course I've got a case for it-and I don't want to give the idea these marks are huge. Took it into the store and the response was these marks are due to normal wear and tear. My point is the 4s sure seems to be much more durable, finish wise. Anyone else notice the delicate finish?

Wifi and 3G problems iPhone 5

Hello Apple, i have an iPhone 5 and I can notice that the wifi is very very slowly, and I can stay on 3G. I have to switch on the air plan mode to get the 3G when I'm in edge. I'm seriously desapointes of apple and their iTems. I would like to know if someone else gets the same problems and if apple are working to find a solution ?? Thank you. Apple don't forget I paid 679€
