Why are no apple stores in South West Sydney iPhone 5

I have a brand new iPhone 5 which cannot access the server without WiFi, I have restored the phone and network settings even replaced the nano sim but the Optus Store states that I now need to replace the phone at an apple store but the nearest store is an hour drive is there another location where I can replace the phone around the Bankstown area?

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4, I recently went on vacation overseas and was using a gsm sim from that country, naturally the iMessage and all werent working but I figured it was because I was out of the US. Since I've gotten back, and started using my old sim, my iMessage, iCloud, Facetime, and MMS messaging aren't working. It wont even allow me to activate, the buttons are gray, it's locked or something. And its not a network problem because my sim is working fine, internet, apps everything. Except for iMessage, iCloud..etc. Can anyone help?

Iphone 5 searching

My iphone 5 has continually been "searching" for two days.  I had the sim card swapped twice yesterday and nothing has changed. What could be wrong and what is my next step? More info: I have reset network setting, reset my entire phone as well. It will not allow me to even go through the process of setting up the phone so I'm stuck at the beginning screen. I've tried to set it up through wifi and through itunes with no luck. Before I reset it, it wouldn't allow me to update once the searching problem began.

Wifi connection problems with iPhone 5

The problem I am having is that my iPhone 5 will connect to my wifi at home but won't connect to my wifi at work. Everyone else can connect at work with no problem with their iPhone 4,4s,android phones and iPads.The network I am trying to connect to is a secret network that I have to manually search for it and input a password. I don't have trouble finding the network the issues I'm having is whenever I put the password in it will say wrong password 10times in a row then it might connect for about 10min then it will disconnect itself and when I try to connect again it will either say wrong password or unable to connect to wifi!!!!! Please help I need wifi at work since I am there more than I'm home.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

Over the last 4 months or so, my iPhone4's download rate has progressivly slowed. WiFi is still working fine, but cellular data was noticably lagging with missed texts, slow applications, and generally slow browsing. Since then I have switched carriers twice thinking it was a problem with cellular service provider, but to no avail. This last week I have had no ability to connect to my service provider's data network, evident because that little '3G' icon at the top no longer appears in any part of the city I visit. I removed the protective case around the iPhone thinking it could be an antennae issue, but no, still not working. Paranoid, I even checked to see that cellular 3G is turned on in the device settings; it is, and I felt stupid for even doubting that it wasnt.  Is it normal for a cellular phone's hardware to degrade? Could there be an enviornmental factor i'm not seeing?

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iPhone

I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

Iphone 4S Wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my WIFI slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my Wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a WIFI-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole Iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting Iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your WIFI. The Iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.

I recently wiped my iphone and when I went through the process to set up, right after selecting a Wi-Fi network, I got a SIM Not Valid screen like the below. I am on AT&T and my phone has never been unlocked, hacked or jailbroken. I've replaced 3 phones as everytime I tried to reinstall software this happened. I got a new sim. No change. Tested my sim in another phone - it work. Tested working SIM in my iphone - SIM Not Valid message still. Does anyone have an idea why this happens after a wipe and resetting the phone?

My Iphone 5 been having trouble connecting to a cellular network.  The tech I spoke to said that my problem was covered under warranty, and I made arrangments to mail it off.  Of course I would drop it and the back glass around the camera cracked.  Does this void any type of repair that I was going to recieve? 

B-Mobile network Issue iPhone 5

Hello I have done a little research and this appears to be a network wide issue with Data sims on the B-Mobile network. The iPhone does not correctly calculate the strength of the network and thinks it has no signal (even if you really have full signal)  and powers the radios up to max impacting the battery life of the iPhone greatly. I believe this to be because the SIM cannot work as a phone at all the iPhone does not realise this even though the data connection is perfect. It's almost 6 months since I've encountered this problem. I already requested my carrier to have my iphone 4s replacedand a series of testing was done to my iphone 4s before they found out this it was defective. Now, I have my new iphone 4s but the same problem was again encountered. The message delivered late and sometimes messages aren't received at all. Though I have a complete network bar as seen on the upper corner of the screen, incoming calls aren't received and outof coverage area. Hope you can help me on this.

Can t see Cellular Data network menu iPhone

Hello, I recently bought a brand new unlocked iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4 10B350) in person at a Mac store.  I have set up the phone & data service with AirVoice Wireless (an MVNO that uses the AT&T network).  AV does not guarantee that MMS will work for iPhones on their service.  That is fine -- I knew that going into this.  However, when I tried to set up MMS anyway following AV's instructions, I couldn't do it because I cannot see the "Cellular Data network" menu option under Settings-->General-->Cellular.  The person at AV I spoke with said that I couldn't see the CDN option because my phone wasn't unlocked, which is difficult to believe seeing as I specifically bought an unlocked phone.  So, why can't I see the CDN option if my phone is unlocked?  And how can I gain access to it? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Sincerely,Mike (an iPhone newbie)

I tried to update my iPhones IOS and when I did, it said that I needed to restore my iPhone, so I did, or I tried. When I went to restore it, it worked for a little while, then stopped and pulled up a error that says "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, " iPhone " . An unknown network error occurred (9006). I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem, to find no solution. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, turning in off firewalls, virus protectors, etc. I am very desperate to fix this problem because my iphone is a paperweight until this problem is resolved, please help me!  

vodafone issues iPhone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

iphone 5 doesnt accept ID password facetime and imessage not working

Im not sure if its to do with the new update 6.1.4 but my imessage suddenly stopped working. I checked my settings and saw that my email addresses associated with it were deleted. I would do hard resets but it wouldnt solve the problem. Then imessage was only partially working, sending imessages to certain individuals and text messages to the others. When i would try to add my email it would say that my password or ID is incorrect. I was thinking, no this could not be. I signed in and out of Itunes with no problem. I even signed on appleid.com and it worked. I tried it on my ipad which worked. I was scratching my brains. so I had an idea, I proceeded to reset network settings......BIG MISTAKE!!! Now, along with my imessage and facetime problems, I cannot connect to my wifi at home. when I enter the password it says it is incorrect. I have also tried entering the wifi manually but to no avail. I connected my iphone to itunes but it wont back up my data saying an error occured but it doesnt specify the error. Iv also noticed that if i press and hold an app, and it starts shaking, the crosses next to the apps that I hav purchased whether it is free or not does not show the 'x' next to them so I cant manually delete an app. What is going on? Is so frustrating because now I have to rely on my data and its depleting fast. Iv booked an appointment with the Genius bar for next week but I am hoping I can sort this out before hand. My first iphone and I was enjoying it up to now, not happy at all!

As I have stated, iphone will not pick up any network and just stays on searching. Also, when "call" button is "pressed" the buttons does the graphic of being pressed, but doesn't make the call. why wont my iphone 4 32GB send messages to just one person

My iPhone will not send messages to my boyfriend and him only although i can receive his texts messages, i am on an irish network called 3 but he is on one called vodafone ( also irish) it is only his phone who cant receive my texts and i have tried everything that i have looked up on the internet icluding putting a number @ the end of his to get his orignal num and send to that i have trie turning my phone on and off i have tried group messages but none of this is working, as you can guess this is extremely frustrating and espicially so seen as i paid alot of money for this phone and expect it to actually work!!!!! im looking for good clear advice that someone who doesnt know all the technical bits of the phone to can understand and implement this to make my phone work please!!

hi there i am looking at getting an iphone 5 and want to know the answers to a couple questionsthanks, 1) Is the iPhone 5 4g or LTE  2) Can you dissable the 4g/LTE part and if so what network would it then run on. If 3g would it consume the amount my 4s dose right  and 3) if you leave 4g/LTE enabled will it suck alot of data. The visual voicemail on my 4s quit working.  I have taken the phone to my provider (they were baffled), used the apple on line support and troubleshooting.  I have reset teh network setting and no change.  I get voicemails but have to periodically go back to dialing in to check to see if I have any as I dod not get notified.

I recently swithched from ATT to Net 10. I am using an iPhone 4s that is not under contract with ATT. I don't see the options necessary to set up my apn in the cellular area of settings.I thought when ATT (supposedly) unlocked this option would magically appear. iPhone 5 signal issues causing my business nightmare

I purchased my iPhone 2 weeks ago and it has caused me major problems. I have no signal connectivity at home and intermittent signal connectivity everywhere else. I have complained too my carrier and they cannot fix the problem as the problem seems to be apple. I have restored the software on my phone many times, I have reset network settings, I have played around with the aeroplane setting, the only thing that seems to help a bit is if I turn 3G off ??? Nobody can tell me why this helps?I have a Genius Bar appointment with an apple store this Saturday and I hope they sort this problem out as this issue is seriously affecting my business..... Does anyone know why I'm having the above issues ?

I try to sign into the app iFunny with my twitter account and I am given this error. I'm not sure why or what's going on. Google cant really tell me what error -1012 but I can't do anything to fix this.... Well I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, I've tried turning the phone off.... and then back on.... I just did the reset where you hold the home button and the sleep button. I also deleted the twitter app too, but that didn't do any help. I made sure that my computer and my app weren't having conflicts in their IP addresses, I shut off my wifi and tried on the network. If I get my iPhone factory unlocked it permanent

I have an iPhone 4 that I bought with Fido a while back. I called Fido today to ask if I could get an unlock since I bought the phone from them. This phone hasn't been on their network in 2 years and they only sell unlocks to phones that have been bought within 12 months. I have seen many cell phone stores offering "factory unlock" services and I was curious as to how that works. If I was to get said unlock and did something like reset my iPhone or upgrade the iOS, will it still be unlocked no matter what? What makes it permanently unlocked?
