I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

when i bought my iphone5 the volume was the same as that of my ipod. after i ve updated it to ios 6.1.4 the volume has degraded. Is this due to the ios update or in the manufacture of the iphone 5 ? kindly help

Have G4, downloaded photos and videos to Windows 7 Ultimate PC. Photos and videos showed up in an ipod Photo Cache file with a Photo Database and .ithmb files. I am looking for a "reliable" .ithmb converter to jpg, and likewise for the video format. TY:)
iPhone images won t restore after phone reset
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me as my wife's iPhone completely froze up after synching with the latest version of iTunes. In the end, the only thing she could do was re-set the iPhone, thereby of course losing everything. Reconnecting to her laptop restored music and most apps, it seems she has to re-download the other apps again direct to the phone. Now the problem is images. There is an ipod cache directory on the laptop Pictures directory, and in this are folders labelled F00, F01 etc.. and a "Photo Database" file. In each of the Fnn directories is a series of files, called Txxx.ithmb, each of which is about 1,500KB. Doing a backup from the laptop indicates there are about 2900 files overall.Altogether there is about 3GB in this folder, so it looks to be a lot of space. Pointing iTunes to the directory containing all this and synching, still results in zero images being found. She went to the local Apple store for help, to be told these are not the images, but then elsewhere I have read that these are the full files, and this proprietary format contains three different resolution images. If the images taken on the iPhone are not here, where are they? Finally, how on earth do we convince iTunes to recognize these files and imporrt them again? Sorry to be thick but losing everything thanks to the latest iTunes was rather catastrophic! Any help/ideas/suggestions greatfully received... The photo files were a mix of photos taken on the iPhone and images previously uploaded from the laptop. Cheers Chipontheroad

I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. I had to redownload my phone through iCloud because of a malfunction in the system, so I could not back up the phone. I had almost 800 pictures on my photostream before, some duplicates, but for some reason less than 100 photos re-downloaded to my new iPhone. It stopped downloading the pictures, and has not turned up any new pictures for about nine hours. Is there any way to get back those pictures? Thanks for any help!

Less than two months ago, I purchased an iPhone 4S 16G, as well as a LifeProof case, which the dealer told me was superior to an Otterbox. It is touted to be waterproof, dirtproof, snow/iceproof, and shockproof. Up until today, I have been quite pleased with my case, though the screen protector does make it a bit harder to to tap the screen. Today, I had my phone in my pocket. When I bent over, it fell out and hit the ground from a height of two feet. It was completely in its case, and I had performed all the checks recommended before using the case. It fell on to carpet. When I picked it up, the case was undamaged, but the entire front of my phone was shattered. It look as though it had been hit by a bullet. The screen still worked, but it was covered with tiny shards of glass. The damage seemed focused around the ear speaker at the top of the phone. I have in the past dropped an ipod touch, sans case, face down onto tile, and the damage was about 4x less than the current damage on my phone. I immediately called Apple, who told me that the warranty did not apply to my situation (though this was not a surprise). I would have to replace my phone, refurbished for $150 or new for $200. I then called LifeProof, at which point I discovered that their warranty only covers the case. They will not refund your phone, though they offered to give me a new case. The person I spoke to told me that he used a LifeProof case, and that his screen had cracked several times while using it. He recommended going to an independent phone dealership who would repair my screen. In short, this overpriced case does almost nothing. To be fair, I have had no problems with the waterproof aspect of the case. However, it will not protect your phone from even the most minor drop that would normally not damage the phone at all. I have seen several accounts of LifeProof owners who put their phone in their pocket and pull it out cracked. This case is not worth $1, let alone $80. For emphasis, I have included some photos of what my phone looks like after the fall. Remember, this was only two feet and onto carpet while in the supposedly shock-proof case.
nike won't let me sync my workout data over wifi iPhone 4
I recently bought nike+ sensor and have just been for a run in it. However it won't let me upload my workout data via wifi. It comes up with a message saying: nike+ipod cannot sync workouts because nike+ service is unavailable. I have tried and tried and again and it doesn't work. I have googled it and there is not any answer to it so far. any help would be appreciated.thanks

iPhone 5 battery drain
I got an iPhone 5 on Friday and the battery *****. I've read every single forum, done everything, reset all settings, drained battery to 0 and then back up, even restarted to factory settings, turned off push, limited notifications, every thing every forum has told me to do. I even went to apple and they were no help at all, telling me my battery was normal. I don't think sleeping with 100% and waking up with 75% is normal, or getting 2 hours if limited use from my phone throughout the day. I have no idea what to do and I'm getting so tired of this. I did not pay 1000$ and wait 5 months for this. I really expected so much more. Someone help me, and give me a right answer, to help me fix this. Seriously getting so ******. Hi I purchased iphone5 in December. It was working fine till now (only if we ignore the heating of the device while charging). But then 2 days back i suddenly noticed flickering of the display on my phone's screen . I searched it on the internet and found that there are many people who have been facing this problem and with their discussions it was concluded that it is a software problem. I got a sigh of relief and dint bother about it. But after half an hour i noticed that my dispaly is gone There was a black screen though the functions work fine as i was able to hear the sound of clicks and reciever calls through earphones. I dont know what has happened to my phone suddenly. I tried hard rebooting also but it dint work. Still looking for a solution I am sitting with a phone with no display and cz its nano sim, it is restricting me from using it in any other phone.I dint expect such a problem in Apple atleast :

iPhone 4 stuck in Apple logo screen
I have an iPhone 4, that I had to replace the LCD, power switch - proximity sensor cable, and home button on. After I had made the repairs (after making sure everything was reassembled correctly) I then proceeded to turn the device on.Now it will only display the Apple logo at startup.When I turn the phone off (via the Home + Sleep/wake method) it will sometimes revert back to the Apple logo screen. I have reset the phone (gone through recovery mode) at least 5 times to correct the issue, yet it still is not working correctly.The only software change that had been made to it, was that I had updated it to the most recent version of iOS. And that was approx. 2 weeks before the issues with the phone.Is there another solution to fixing this phone, or is it basically done? (If I can, I really need to get this phone fixed (if at all possible).Thank-you.

to cut a long story short. I was interested in an i-phone... got the details..checked them all.. on the phone and with the provider, VODAPHONE... told unlocked, not stolen etc etc. proceeded to buy the phone...new sim topped up £10 only to find it wouldn't work... Went into vodaphone store..been running around following thier advice..(they said I need a friend who is a customer on vodaphone to get passed the unlocking with a vodaphone code.. and they would do it for free given the circumstances...so i run errands go back and forth doing as they asked...got nowhere) SO IT IS NOW A MONTH LATER..and after complaining and complaining to thier email site and repeatedly asking for help in store..I am stumped as what to do and just have a glorified ipod. I WILL NOT BE FORCED TO REMAIN ON THE VODAPHONE NETWORK given the situation they have put me in and thier unwillingness to help so i refuse to use the phone with vodaphone... BUT WHAT can i do PLEASEEEEEEE? all they keep on suggesting is that I get the original owners details but he is not answering anything...and the phone is not registered as stolen etc so what is the problem!? As you can imagine I am really peeved by the whole thing as I actually carried out all the necessary checks, and whilst the phone was not bought directly from vodaphone, I went to them as the provider, to find otu about unlocking etc as it is always advised to do so..and it was them that gave me the wrong information but they still will not resolve the issue. I have even sent them phone records to confirm when I rung and the name of the invalid who told me the phone was unlocked in the first place. I really would much appreciate any help as they are ignoring my emails now.

My iPhone 5 not get GPS signal
Good day,I noticed with my iPhone 5 that the map directions never seem to work. Then I noticed my nike+ app GPS signal always shows as weak and it doesn't work. I never had the problem with my iPhone 4S so I thought maybe the new iOS. I took my old 4S in it's case (now my wifes phone) and started the nike+ on it and on my iPhone 5 (no case) sitting next to each other. The 4S got a strong GPS signal. The 5 got nothing... Has anyone out there experienced the same thing? I'm trying to determine if this a global 5 thing or just my phone. Thanks all for your replies.
7 different faults-it hardware failure iPhone 4S
I've had my 4S since January 2012. All was well for about a year, and then the fun began.1) When the weather got colder (Less than five or six degrees), the phone would suddenly claim to have a flat battery, and turned itself off. Plugging in an external battery pack brought it back to life. Taking it back inside a warm building would bring it back to life again. 2) About twice a month, it crashes, and wipes all my contacts/calendar data. I started backing up to iCloud, so then it would restore from there, but muddle my contacts' photos up.3) It refuses to sync with iTunes. It says there's not enough memory. Sometimes on the phone, sometimes on my PC.4) At least once a day, it loses the ability to join any mobile network. Turning it off and on again usually allows it to rejoin my network (T Mobile).5) Instead of T Mobile, it randomly likes to show my operator name as 000-0000.6) It helpfully closes all my Safari tabs if I minimise Safari and use another app.7) The GPS is failing, which is a real nuisance because I use nike+ for my daily jog. T Mobile's tech help were not very much help as soon as they realised I'd had the phone for over a year, and was therefore no longer covered by their warranty. They reckoned it was a hardware failure. I've purchased Apple Care today, and booked a Genius Bar appointment for Friday. Does anyone have experience of any of these problems?

Hi, we purchased a new iPhone 5 16 GB in balck through our business account with Vodafone.We’ve had this phone just under 2 month and it has had a battery issue that seemed to only get worse by time. We tried the usual fixes by applying the latest iOS and doing a complete restore to factory settings with no results.The battery would not hold charge for long and the user had to keep constantly charging it through the day. We’ve had similar issues in the past with iPhone 4 and the 4S to which the fix was always to take the iPhone back to the Apple store and get it replaced under warranty.When I went to the Apple store after inspecting the phone they told me that they can not service nor replace the phone as it had “Random Code Stickers” on the inside of the phone which are not consistent with any repair work done in any Apple repair store and that a “water sensor “ attached to the inside of the screen was missing as well as “Burn marks” to the back on the screen.Has anyone had a similar problem with their phone?

Ok so, since yesterday afternoon, while i was on my facebook, it suddenly popped out that there's a problem with the connection blah blah blah, but it was still connected to the wifi, so I just ignored it for a while, until i want to use it but i can't, coz every app that needs wifi was just loading & loading and it took forever but i wasn't updating to the latest post like that.. I opened my tumblr, twitter, instagram, imessage and facebook, but it's stuck on the same last post from yesterday. It really bothers me, I reset the network setting for a couple of times, and nothing happens. If you're gonna ask what carrier i have, It's MTS but i don't have a sim. Yet i can still use it like an ipod. the push notfication shows on my iphone, like when it's locked and someone message me on fb or retweet something on twitter. Then when i do open that notification, and the app will load then it'll stop. I also updated it to the latest iOS (6.1.3) a month ago. What do i need to do??? Need Help.
iPhone 5 has wrong apple ID email address it my phone but has son s email address-now I cannot update anything
The apple ID associated with my iphone is showing up as my son's ID for his ipod Touch 5th gen. When I look into the settings everything is set to my email address, but when I attempt to update it shows his email address and says I have the wrong password. I did not have this issue until I updated the iOS system. Can anyone help?

How can I get it across to Apple that the moment they let Facebook Home take over the home page on my iPhone or iPad I am gone forever and will never EVER buy an iPhone or ipod ever again? Facebook want to know far too much detail about my life as it is. Why would I want them to be able to track my every movement and know who I am calling on my iPhone. This is an infingement on my/your privacy. If news paper journalists can get done for hacking into yours or my phone, what will Facebook get? And what will Apple get if they are found to be helping Facebook gather this information without the iPhone users consent??????

Hi guys, I upgraded to iP5, from iP4, on the day it came out. Since I had it, it's been resetting itself - I've explored every avenue I can think of and now I'm on the verge!! This is the chain of events: Sep 12: upgraded to iP5 On the first night, turned itself off to the extent I had to hard restart. A number of subsequent shutdown/hard restarts followed (including one which meant my alarm didn't go off and I was late for work!). Trip to Apple store. New phone. Next day: new iP5 turns itself off, but instead of staying off, it immediately turned back on. An improvement, but not ideal. Numerous more random reboots. Further trip to Apple Store: suggestion is restore from back up. Back up restore only seems to make the issue worse. Apple Store advice: connect to iTunes, restore from back up. No improvement. Apple Store advice: set up as new phone. No improvement. Today, my phone has reset itself 4 times while I've been using it. Some while I've been using (different) Apps, once when it was tracking my run on nike Plus. Everytime new software has come out, it's been updated immediately. As it is, it's almost unusable, certainly not reliable. I can't get an appointment at my nearest Apple Store now for another six days, and I can't have my phone in this state for a week! I am looking to purchase the nike Fuel Band, but I currently am using a Bluetooth Audio Radio with my iPhone. It is a Pioneer XBH-5500 2013 model that handels my audio and my bluetooth handsfree calling in my car. At the same time, I sometimes use a pair of bluetooth stero over-the-head headset to listen to music. I am wanting to know if there will be any issue with the performance of the nike Fuelband tracking my performance, showing me time and/or anything else if I have another device paired with my iPhone 5?

Hello, some of my iPhone applications will not finish updating nor install. What's happening is applications from an ipod touch is syncing with my iPhone and they are not installing. How can I fix this without having to hold down an app and to uninstall all of them and to start from scratch. Thank you.
camera malfunction iPhone 4S
I have the iphone 4s. I have had it for abount week now. The rear camera comes up black and won't work all of a sudden. I was able to make it work again by lightly pressing on it, but I don't know if its something that I should report to apple. Any suggestions?

I have recently jailbroken my ipod, i have installed the localiapstore source and now when i try to purchase some thing from inside the app, it loads then exits the game completely, i have double checked that its on in the settings, it's driving me crazy and i would absolutely love if someone could please help me with this issue, it's crashing everything:(
iPhone 4 audio behaving like has headphones always plugged in
Hello. I have an iPhone 4. Software version is 4.3.5. I currently have the sound button on. No headphones plugged. When push the sound button up or down, I have on scree the usual volume screen, however, it says ringer (headphones) instead of just ringer. I have no sounds coming from apps (notifications...) and no sound coming from locking (it is set on on the settings). I cannot listen to the ipod music without headphones (no sound comes out of speakers). I only have these sounds when I plug headphones and the sounds come via headphones. Also, if I have the ipod on, with headphones, the ipod does not turn off when I remove headphones. I already switched it off and tried forced reset. Any ideas to solve this, please? Thank you
Faced issues with iPhone 5
Hi, I bought my iPhone 5 from Germany just after the launch.However I live in Turkey and I didn't have chance to try my iPhone before I got back to Turkey.After I turned back to my country I have noticed that there are several dust on camera sensor as you can see below pictures. In additon after a while the lock/power button stop working as well. Apple claims that Apple products have 1 year international warranty but this doesn't work in Turkey. Nobady gets responsibility of any Apple product if the customer buys it from any foreign country. I don't wanna go to Germany just to visit an Apple store to solve my problem and I couldn't find any email address to contact with email.I am a loyal customer and I almost have all Apple products. Why my iPhone 4s dying
My iphone 4s is dying at 30%. This is concerning me because my last iphone did this too. So I had got my iphone in August of 2012 and it started dying at 35% about a week ago on Tuesday. Then by Friday it was dying at 60%. I thought it was the software update so I took it to the Apple store and the tested it and said that nothing was wrong with the battery, like normal. So they gave me a new phone. Well, it hasn't even been a week and this phone is starting to do the same thing. I try not to charge it until it has gotten down far and is about to die so I would not have this problem. Yes, I have tried restoring and no, it does not work. I have also reset it. Is there a difference between charging the phone on a iHome docking station and a plug into a wall? Is there anything else I can do to not have my phone die at 30%? I don't think it is normal because I also have an ipod and iPad and none of them do that. Also, the last iPhone didn't do that until last week. Could there be a reason why it dies unexpectedly?
