Hi, I have an iPhone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto

I'm only recieving about 10% of the normal notifications from my favorite apps... skype: never unless I'm using the phoneWhatsapp: only when the phone is idle for long periods of timeTwitter's notifications haven't worked until I set foot in Italy this past weekend. The moment I crossed the border, it all started working. Nothing has changed other than I am studying in Europe instead of the USA. Are there any things I can check in iOS before hunting down the developers of the apps? iOS 6.1.3 on an iPhone 4S

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari. Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text. Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result. Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem. Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset. I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?
I'd like to use skype for phone calls and email access through WiFi connection in hotel in Domenican Republic. How to illuminate any RF connection to AT&T in that location and use only WiFi?
How can I have a stronger Facetime session between my Macbook and an iPhone? The calls seem to have a delay/latency. What would improve this? Is 4g the fastest mode available?Would using a cellular data plan work?Would having my own personal hotspot device help?Would skype be a better choice? If so, why? Thanks

Even when I know that one of my online contacts has video capability, I cannot make a video call using the skype app on my iPhone5. I do not have the same problem when I use skype on my Windows laptop. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
please I'm trying to update my ios to 4.3 to be able to install some software like skype and whatsapp but no way so how i can do that ??
My iPhone5 internet has stopped working. I've tried turning off wifi and going to LTE twice... neither work. Tried safari (page won't load), mail (email won't download, skype (everyone offlien), and other apps. Nothing. I've tried normal shut down and rebotted twice. My home computer internet is working fine. What could it be?
the recording volume gets so low that I can hardly hear myself talking when plugged in an earbuds using the mic of the earbus. It happens in every app, Voicememo, skype, etc, everyting that uses earpods' microphone. But when I plug my earpods into my older iphone, there is not the problem, everything just works fine. So it's definetly not an earphone issue, there must be something wrong within the Iphone 5. Please give me some advice
Hi,For the past week and a half, all of a sudden my viber calls, skype calls and facetime will not work on my iphone 4S. I can text on my viber, however when I make or receive calls the person on the other end can’t hear me, it just cuts in and out and then disconnects. The same thing is happening on skype & facetime, it connects for 2 seconds, can’t hear and then cuts off. I have tried re-installing both of the aps, and still the same thing is happening, and it is becoming quite upsetting living in another country (UK) from home, I have no way of contacting anyone. Can someone please help me, do I need to contact Vodafone? I am on a contract with Vodafone UK, and the phone was purchased in the UK. Thank you.
Good day to you all, Just want to ask for an advice, I have 4s running iOS5 did not upgrade to the latest version due to traffic issue at the mOment, Anyway i noticed while using my phone that the battery is dropping 1% every 3 minutes , while i am usingFacebook messenger-logged onSkype-logged on3g -on Siri - onwhile typing in messenger or skype the battery is just dropping like crazy also i noticed that my phone is heating at the backSo i dont find this normal at all , If you have same problem I would love to know the solution to this . Sometimes the person I am talking with can't hear me. I can hear them fine. Happens when I make or receive calls. Happens also when using bluetooth. Doesn't happen (i.e. works fine) on skype and viber calls. Replacing the SIM didn't help.Any idea if this is a hardware problem or a network problem ? If hardware - which component might it be ? Can it be fixed on the spot at an Apple store ?I thought it might be one of the mics, but as noted, happens also with bluetooth, which doesn't use the iphone mic.
Please can you help my in fixing my I phone I have problem in sound in other sides

How can i turn on the video for my skype app im trying to make a video call from Iphone 4 to Iphone 4 and it drops the call but if i call my computer it goes thru with no problem
Hmm... After doing a ton of searching over the net, I cannot seem to find a simple answer to this. I want to setup to a prepay plan for my daughter. After doing a lot of research I have settled on using a used AT&T iPhone 4 with the Straight Talk plan from Walmart. But ther is one problem. Straight Talk uses the at&t network and we have no reception at home. So I would like to phone automatically switch to using wifi when at home, just like it does for data. From what I understand, this means getting a VoIP system going somehow. But when I go to the app store the number of VoIP apps is bewildering. I would like to use something that will make it completely transparent, ie keeping the same iPhone number, being able to text msg and all. Is that possible? Can I do that with a known quantity like skype or vonage? Is there some extra hardware required? Can I keep my number? Any other recommendation? My ISP is Cox communications and my wifi is through an Aiport Extreme. Thank you for any help in this rather confusing issue. Bo.
Ever since i upgraded to iOS6 my skype video is blurred. I am using an iPhone 4S. It was working perfectly fine before this upgrade. Anyone else had this problem
Last night I updated my iPhone 4S (IOS.6) and it completely screwed it up. My wifi isn't working-- from time to time it'll work, but it'll disconnect whenever I try to use Facebook, skype, or any other applications. I've never had this problem before until I got this update. Not only that, AFTER this update my phone doesn't shut off properly. Instead of it showing the powerslide, it automically turns off. Again, this ALL happened AFTER the update. It has nothing to do with my wifi or router because every other device in the house is working perfectly fine. What am I supposed to do? This is getting me real irritated. I even restored my phone-- I've done everything I could-- and still no luck. How can I fix this? I've tried calling the Apple Company and they don't give ANY useful tips for my issue. Help, please? It'd be greatly appreciated.
My skype app for iPhone and iPad has a banner at the top showing kids games available and if you click on it takes you to the apple app stoe - how do I get rid of it!!!!!!

Hi, My iPhone's Microphone not working when i call by phone app, But it's working when i use any other apps like skype or FaceTimeI try use headphone but it's not working too.
My iPhone is about 18 months old, so not elible for warranty etc. It has started playing up for the following reason - people call me and we can have a normal conversation and then all of a sudden they can't hear me? They say stuff like 'hellooo hello are you there?' etc, but can't hear me even though I can hear them. I have full reception when this happens. other times its straight away when I answer it and they caller just can't hear me at all I have used skype and it seems to work for it the whole time but I'm not sure as it wasn't as long of a call... I am with optus and have been to them, tehy replaced my sim but that hasn't fixed it either. anyone else had this happen?
Hello all. Newbie to iphones is back. I am trying to create an account on skype for the iphone. The skype website sends me to iTunes. Ok, so I signed on with them. Now what? iTunes doesn't create a skype account. I already have one on my PC. The skype name and password for the PC does not work on my phone. Totally frustrated. Why do they make it so difficult? Thank you all for your patience.
Hey guys. I was just simply wondering what good iPhone 4s battery life is?Currently I'm on 13% and got 5 hours and 12 min of usage, and 25 hours of standby.Have played a lot of kingdom rush, and some wordfeud. Taken a lot of picturesAnd used hipstamatic, and besides that, just normal use, 3G surfing, wifi, skype and other apps and so on. Got everything turned on(location, wifi, push etc) Is this ok?
I was just wondering if you can use apps like twitter, instagram, skype, and facebook. If your not connected to Wi-Fi?
is there a way to make ym, skype and facebook wirking with iphone 2g?
I have an Iphone 4s, purchased only 5 months ago. All apps on the phone, including calls, music, email, settings, etc...crash just seconds after opening, going back to the Home Screen. The calls aren't dropped, the green tag on top let's me get back to the Call Screen...but only to crash back to the Home screen again... I already restored the phone twice to original settings, but to no avail...it keeps on crashing. I am pretty sure I ll have to send it in for repairs...but wither way... I have noticed on Settings / General / About / Diagnostics... the following errors which coincide with apps I was using... Please let me know if this is a SW issue or a HW issue...and if there is anyway to fix it... Hello, I purchased iphone4 last year from authorized Apple reseller in Vietnam. As of last Friday It started very strange problem - sudden stop as mid-conversation the other side stop hearing me.It should be noted that I tried to put the speaker, connect headphones, connect headset Bluetooth earphones and nothing worked - still they have not heard me.More mention - when I talk through other applications (Bphobe, skype and so on) or when I'm recording myself in "voice memo" or using voice commands -the microphone works fine and without any problem!I tried to do restore but it did not help. What can you do? TNKS for helping
Hello everyone. Here is an issue I can't beat.iPhone 4S, not locked to carrier. Suddenly I noticed that may people start to complain to me about my phone is switch off. But same time phone is on and has full GSM bar with 3G. Once I make an experiment, when my friend skype me about my phone is off i tried to make a call, but call is won't connect, i even can't hear a beeps. I tried to reboot the phone and in a few hours story repeats. Then I tried to resent network settings. Won't help. I tryed to restore my iPhone with iTunes with latest firmware. Not luck. Last thing I did is replaced my SIM card with my carrier. No luck. I saw on internet, that there are a lot of people having same issue with no luck of fixing it. My phone is on warranty, but or local dialer won't replace it, because it's bug not consistently seen. Any suggestions?
how do you turn your carrier off when roaming overseas but leave the wifi on to use for skype and maps and email
My iPhone 4 microphone isn't working during calls, the people on the other end can't hear me. The mic works OK in apps like skype, etc. I tried the cardboard trick and it worked for one call and then it stopped working again. I then decided to buy a bluetooth headset and work around the iPhone 4's faulty, but to my surprise that isn't working either. Now, as stated in the log, the Usage and Standby times weren't there since I charged phone while it was off. But you can do the math, and so can I, sooo: 3 hours, 40mins Standby, then 6 hours and however many odd minutes. I'm assuming Standby would be a lot more, though, since I was playing music on "standby" and when music is played on Standby mode, it counts as Standby and usage. So those numbers are kind of rough, but the battery lasted about the same as the first log, before the restore. So, please leave your feedback here of the post, how your battery compares, how you improved yours, if you've done tests, etc. Thank-you, all!
I am having a problem with iPhone with my mic for quite sometime now. Could someone please help? - I'm using iPhone 4- mic seems to be NOT working when I am on the call. No one can hear me on the other side- the weird things is I have skype on my iPhone, and when I am calling with skype, the mic is working fine and never had a problem- Voice recording is also OK I have done almost everything, upgrade the iOS, uninstalled skype, SW/HW reboot, restore the device to deafult, tried with new headset and blu tooth, but nothing seems to work. Please help the lost soul! Thank you in advance!! keycee
Hi there, A few days ago, out of the blue, I lost the ability to be able to hear or be heard when on a call on my iPhone 4. On a call, no matter which output I use, earpiece, earphones or speaker, I cannot hear the person on the other end speaking, and they cannot hear me talking. My phone will ring if someone is calling, and if I call someone their phone will connect, but from there I am completely muted/in silence. I do not believe this is a hardware related issue as I have tested both the microphone and speaker/s by making a skype call to a friend which worked absolutely fine. I can also play music from my phone successfully through all of the iPhone outputs mentioned above. This is a super frustrating issue as I haven't dropped the phone or damaged any of the hardware. The only one software related thing I notice that is out of the ordinary is that when I do make a call, the 'speaker' icon is selected by default. Obviously I have attempted to deselect it, but have had no success in this making any difference. Any ideas? Of course where I live I don't have access to an Apple Store, and everywhere I take it locally I get the response - 'Sorry, we don't repair iPhones' Thanks,Jeff
When calling with skype the called party can see and hear me perfectly but I can neither hear nor see them. Normal calls with the 4S work just fine. I tried activating the skype test call and it connected just fine but I was unavble to hear anything. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this? Thanks.
