Matt00 was nice enough to suggest a solution to no avail. I feel it's a bug in the new app that hopefully will be fixed in next fix. I wouldn't mind using a wire through iTunes but now using a mophie juice box for a iPhone 5, their wire won't download or manage iTunes. They admitted they can't but could with a iPhone 4. Any other suggestions anyone. I can't believe I'm the only one. Subscribed podcast are Rush Limbaugh 24/7 and Kim Komando 24/7.PS: It's very difficult to remove the mophie juice box from the iPhone 5.
Hi, My iPhone 4 was purchased on a contract basis from Vodacom (South Africa) in August 2011, during January this year my phone kept restarting by itself. It eventually got worse that I had to use my mophie Juicepack in order for my phone to operate, but my phone ocassionaly would startup and there would be No Service and the Wi-fi switch was grey.Doing a restart with the Power & Home button has not worked nor has a fresh new restore of iOS 6.1.3 and I have reset the phone to factory default settings including erasing all existing data & media etc. My warranty has expired thus I sent my iPhone 4 for a battery replacement from an authorised Apple agent here in South Africa.Thinking it would solve my problem...it did not. My phone still restarts by itself and occasionally does not even power ON unless I plug it in via the USB charger which doesn't help much because there would be No Service and the Wi-fi switch was grey. I have never dropped my iPhone and it has no exterior damage at all nor has it ever been Jailbroken. Please suggest any solutions, I have tried every option possible from forums etc.
So my wife bought an iPhone 5 64g and also purchased a mophie juice pack case/battery. last night (3/23/13) she is sitting in a lawn chair and accidently lets the phone slide from her lap to the floor. the device probably fell a total of 12-18" and landed on the case portion (not flat faced). the LCD assembly (digitizer and all) came away from the housing completely. it was only connected by the ribbons/cables that provide power to the assembly. i work in the cellular industry and have dealt with iPhones for a while now and have never seen this happen before. the glass is not broken in any way. it appears as if any adhesive or clamping components used for the assembly simply failed. my concern is that if i go to the apple store for a replacement, am i going to get a hard time from some one at the "genius bar" claiming we abused or whatever the device? has any one experienced this or have any information regarding something similar? I've had my iPhone since January 2012 - it's almost one month outside the warranty. As you know, I love my phone and carry it with me everywhere. There are 5 Apple devices in my household: 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, and an iPod. This past Wednesday I realized that I was missing phone calls and for a moment thought I had left it on silent mode. As it turns out, the bottom speaker on the phone is no longer working. I get sound from the headphone jack when headphones are plugged in, but nothing when they're not - this includes alerts, ring tones, music, video, etc. I tried to reset the phone on Thursday night with no results. This afternoon I visited the Genius Bar at the Partridge Creek Apple Store. They took a look at the phone and told me they thought water damage was the reason for the speaker failure and told me there was nothing they could do but sell me a replacement phone. The phone has never been wet. It also sits constantly inside a mophie battery case that completely encloses the bottom of the phone. I highly doubt the phone could get wet enough to cause something like this while it was in the case unless it was totally submerged in something. The phone is barely one month out of warranty. I don't feel like this experience has been consistent with the kind of experience Apple desires their customers to have and I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to make this right.
mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Duo External Battery Does thisroduct support iPhone 5, iPad 2&3???
I have a mophie Juice Pack Plus for my IPhone 4S. Is is better to run the mophie down keeping the phone charge up or run the phone charge down first then recharge with the mophie. Does the phone battery get weaker after so many charge cycles like the mophie and other external chargers and boosters.I am able to keep a 100% charge on the phone battery at all times, I have 2 mophie's I swap them out when they run out keeping my Iphone fully charged at all times. Will this hurt the internal phone battery? Bob Daig
When I plug it in to recharge, the LEDs light up all at once but do not stay on in sequence to show the level of charge it has. I have two juice packs and one does it and the other does not. Any ideas?
It is not from a stuck pin, but a possibility of broken power button caused by water damage or moisture by sudden change in temperature. The battery draining are most likely caused by defect or application on constant use of location data. You can try restoring the firmware or downgrading see if it helps. Since the battery is the issue a temporary solution is to get any battery case pack e.g like mophie juice pack or any portable charging power house, other than that the iPhone should be brought to apple to be diagnosed because the iPhone button should work and be able to turn off in whatever circumstance, they will replace it or fix it, the battery draining is not normal and should also be fixed.
Hello, Is there a way to make my phone's speakers enable when using the mophie? Just to explain, the mophie is a batter pack case, that has an apple plug on the bottom. It works great and all, but my phone speaker's go off. Similar to using a docking clock/radio and the speaker will go through that device. The mophie doesn't have its own speakers though, so I can't use the speakers as I use it. Thanks! -Rick
Do I make an appointment to purchase an iPhone 4S and get it set-up at the Apple Store or do I just fo in to an Apple Store? I used to see where they get the iPhone connected for you, get your plan set-up with the carier, and give you some basic teaching so you know how to use the iPhone before leaving the store. The ads I see now have taken out the teaching at the time you get your new account for the iPhone 4S set-up and mentions about being able to attend free classes in the future. I would need some basic information before I left the store. I am also wondering if anybody has any comments about the mophie Juice Pack or the mophie Juice Pack Plus? Thanks
There has been a lot of talk, maybe too much talk regarding poor battery life on particularly the iphone 4S. My solution and so far 3 days and still the phone is well is purchase a battery juice pack / case. I bought a mophie battery case and not only it looks great but it dramatically improves the battery life. RegardsMark
As title i bought this "made for iphone" case (i supposed that it has to work, when even apple sold this item in its apple store) however after the first charge juice pack begins to give me problem (it connected and disconnected juice pack's battery) now, i have problem with my iphone to synch it with my laptop (windows based). with my iMAc still works properly, but now i'm quite afraid that somehow mophie's pack burn the iphone's connector 30 pin. Is there the possibility to verify this on my own?
Two issues: 1) Battery life on this iPhone 4s stinks and the only reason it lasts even the advertised usage length is because of the mophie juice pack that I have for it. 2) I'm still wondering why my device cannot pair with any other phones or anything. In fact I cannot even see anything with my 4s, meaning it remains searching for devices, even when it is in discoverable mode. Now, let's look further, so far, I've reset, installed brand new sim card at apple store, uhh, updated to latest version with reboot, and for some reason i'm still searching. It doesn't see anything. But wait there's more, it turns out that i'm not the only one with this issue, in fact I have another identical phone with same exact specs and wouldn't you know, it does the same thing.... still not convinced, well my buddy has a different plan, different cell phone provider and more gigs on his phone different color even, and guess what, his 4s has same exact issue, NO BLUETOOTH recognition, it stays in searching, does not see anything....hmmm? why race to put out a new super phone if the bluetooth is disabled...? any ideas?
Hello all. I've been using this case since I received the 4S on day one, Friday, without issue. Last night when I plugged the charging cable into its micro USB port I received a brief error message, “unauthorized accessory” or something to that affect. The message disappeared and the phone seemed to charge correctly. This morning I realized it only charged to 91%. The mophie battery is 100% but will not charge the phone when switched on. I have an email out to their tech support but while I’m waiting for an answer I was hoping someone here had a similar issue with a resolution. Thanks.
iPhone 4s with a mophie JuicePack battery attached. Up until now, I've been experiencing similar battery woes as others; basically, one juicepack gets used per day, and one per night (while phone sleeping). But today something new happened: the with a fully charged phone, turned off, and a fully charged JuicePack, the pack drained and the phone went to 85% in about 8 hours. That's 8 hours of being turned off. Going to repeat the test tonight. Strange.
My iPhone will not last a full day on standby without running completely out of power.I purchased a mophie plus battery pack-case and it helps out alot, but I am really hoping Apple gets this fixed since alot of the places I go don't have power outlets readily available and having my phone run out of power while I'm there would just plain suck. Before sending helpful power-saving suggestions, I know about the following: Turn off location servicesTurn off NotificationsTurn brightness downUse WiFi instead of 3GReset network settingsTurn Fetch to manualTurn Push offetc... While doing all that might be 'temporary' fixes, I think it is up to Apple to fix their product so that is at least performs to the standards they say it does.If they say 200 hours standby, that in my mind means 200 hours with everything running at default settings....NOT 200 hours with every little thing turned off so you are using a regular phone not a smartphone. I upgraded from the original iPhone, so even with the battery problem this is an amazing phone compared to what I had...but if this does not get fixed I might have to jump ship to a smartphone whose battery lasts as advertised.

Has anyone gotten issues with running apps while using the mophie juice pack air on the iphone4? I am unable to run some and I don't know if this issue would be related to the app needing updates or the iphone4.
I have a mophie external case/charger that no longer charges the iPhone 3G (iOS4 just installed).I also have an external power pack MMP5000 that no longer charges the iPhone 3G (iOS4 just installed too). I only used this to add up to 7 hours for long road or plane trips. Tried it this week to try and recover lost battery power since iOS4 upgrade.Am I missing some specific setting or is it best to back to 3.1..?If so, how do you go back to 3.1?I have a PC.Chazz 3G iOS 4 mophie iPhone Juice Pack air and MMP5000 external battery
Hi, I will split this into 3 sections if people would like to address only certain areas of my enquirey.1: My friend dropped his iphone and smashed the screen so I said I will help him replace it. Watched some how to videos and seems like itll be an easy albeit fiddly job.But I want to know where is a good reputable online store to buy from?2: I also want to replace the battery in my aging 3G (1 year 9 months old). I could wait for the new iPhone to be released, but I dont think I can live with this awful battery that long (I have a mophie Juice Pack air, but that is as old as the phone and that is nearing the end of its life too)I read that the iPhone 3G uses a 1150mAh battery, I have been looking online and see a lot of 1400mAh batteries. That would be awesome, are they good, and again, where is a good shop.3: Finally I want to get a new colour backing plate (because if I am rippping it open, I migh as well funk it up a bit). But, what is the quality of these? Are they the same quality as the original? Can anyone reccomend a good shop.I would prefer a shop in Taiwan or Hong Kong as I live in Japan and shipping will be cheaper (And it all comes from China and Taiwan anyway) iMac 20" Core2Duo 2.16GHz 3GB 1TB - MacBook Alu 2.4Ghz, 4GB 250GB Mac OS X (10.5) 1TB external backup drive, iPhone 3G
I am pretty happy with my phone; had it for about 3 months, but would appreciate some advice from non-luddites and experienced iphone users.I bought a mophie case/battery extender, which has helped the battery a bit, but now read that its not the best option. Can you suggest which is the best option, just for future reference?Im interested in protecting myself against the lost phone, phone theft thing; I understand theres an app that you can use to track the phone if its lost or stolen. Can someone offer some advice about what this costs (Im in Australia); and how big an impact it would have on the battery to have the locater switched on all the time. (bearing in mind that Im not going to know when I am about to lose or have my phone stolen)those of you who have had iphones for a fair while, can you give some hints about extending the battery life? Ive pretty much shut down all the big power users so the life has improved. What is the current wisdom on completely discharging the battery once a month? Its so hard to keep up with changes in battery technology. And the other thing; how difficult/expensive is it to get it replaced? I have heard that its quite expensive to sort out a new battery for an ipod; is the iphone a huge hassle as well. And what sort of life are most users getting from their batteries (before they need replacing)? it does occur to me that I should have checked this before I bought the thing....I was playing around with the voice control, voice commentary thing; every - and had a real hassle trying to reset it; any advice about other options that I should just leave the **** alone? I want to get the best out of my phone, but this last experience was a bit frustrating. (luddite)Id really appreciate any advice.cheers asus iPhone OS 3.1.3
OK, just bought the mophie Juicebox AIR and LOVE IT!Problem is when I am in my car I have a MONSTER CABLE ( http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=5340 ) which has an iphone connector on it (see picture) so my phone gets power AND audio to my car with one cable (AWESOME job Monster)My problem is I dont want to take my phone out of the juicebox case and the stupid juicebox air only has a MICRO usb female on the case...SO I am looking for a way to go from the MICRO usb on the mophie case to the regular iphone male connector from the Monster car adapter...Ideas? If I can find a cable to go from male USB to female iphone Id be set. thanks no iPhone OS 3.1.2 yes
I am finding it difficult to get information on repairing the afore mentioned product. Apples chat doesnt work on the iPhone, which is a major oversight! Anyhow, the product is within my one year warranty, how do I get itrepaired, or where should I ask? Thanks,Chris iPhone 3G iPhone OS 3.1.2
I have an iPhone 3G. This is my second phone, a replacement that I have had for probably a year and a half now. I am a heavy user. I am in IT and I get about 60 emails a day on it using Exchange ActiveSync. I have bluetooth enabled always along with 3G and sometimes Wi-Fi (usually not though). I am averaging about 2 hours and 45 minutes of talk time with about 6 hours of standby time. Is this good? I have a mophie so I can get through the day without having to have it die on me. I have had it off the charger since about 9:30AM this morning and I got my 20% battery notice around 3:30PM. It seems weaker than it use to or maybe my usage is higher than it use to be. Thoughts? iPhone 3G 8GB iPhone OS 3.1.2
The mophie juice pack air advertises that it will charge the iphone and MJPA at the same time using the micro usb cable and that it has the pass through micro usb connection to allow the iphone to sync with itunes while connected to the MJPA. Neither of these things are working for me. When connected to my computer the MJPA syncs alone and even when it fills the iPhone still doesnt charge and my iPhone does not appear in my itunes to allow a sync Imac6,1 Mac OS X (10.6.1)
Ive had my iPhone for about a month now and everything has been fine except the battery life, so I decided to buy a charging case for my iPhone. I figured the cheap one would somehow damage my phone so I bought the most expensive one, the mophie juice pack air. I got it yesterday and plugged it up to my iPhone since it says its already charged from the beginning. It charges it a little but not much b4 it dies, so i plug it in, charge it completely and put it on my iPhone to charge overnight. I wake up to see a dead iPhone that will not turn on no matter how I try to charge it (my phone didnt drop either, it was in the same spot I left it at night). I tried hooking it up to my laptop which didnt even acknowledge I hooked it up. I tried the wall charger and nothing. Also tried putting it in the case and using the cases cable to plug into my laptop since in the manual it says you can sync by doing that, and still got nothing but a dead/wont turn on iPhone. Anything Im forgetting to do? or maybe tips on what to do. iPhone 3G (white) Other OS
I just received my the Xpal AP1200 that I purchased from Woot last week. My question is that since its a case also can I leave it on the iPhone all the time? Unlike the mophie Juice Pack, this one does not have an on/off switch for engaging the external battery in the case. If I leave it on all the time, use it as a case and simply charge the entire setup (battery pack and phone) at the same time am I going to damage or at least significantly shorten the internal iPhone battery? I am now constantly running out of battery for my 3G iphone, i am a heavy user and looking to buy a battery pack. Can anybody give me info of any device they have purchased and how effective it has been in prolonging the battery life. I am looking at products like mophie and apple sell these now in store however they do a air version and a normal one but the difference is battery capacity 1200mAH compared to 1800 mAH (non Air) but much bulkier. Any body got some reviews for me ? any other makes to think about help will be very much appreciated. Imac 24inch 3.0ghz 4Gbram 500Gb HD Mac OS X (10.5.6) Nvidia 8800Gs
I know these phones have battery issues. But the last few days, the battery has been draining faster than usual. I find myself plugging it in mid day. Im not that heavy of a user. A little music in the morning. Then just standby the rest of the day. Checking the email and the occasional text. Thinking of getting the mophie air, but why is my battery extra cruddy now? I am sure I am beating the proverbial dead horse with this question, and most definitely preaching to the choir, but I cant understand why the battery life on the iPhone 3G is so horrible. Can someone explain?I understand that 3G in and of itself will cause battery depletion on top of the push/fetch scenario, but some days the battery lasts longer and other days it only last 4 or 5 hours for me; and thats testing it by using it the exact same for both days. How does the battery work? Do I need to deplete fully before recharging or else Ill lose memory cells, or does it not matter? If the former is true, then I can understand why I may be losing time from full charge. I tend to go home and immediately put it on the charger, even if I have only used it for 2-3 hours that day. If its the latter, then what gives?Fortunately, I just purchased the mophie Juice Pack so hopefully I wont have anymore issues but I figured I would post to ask the question; plus, I have been registered for around 7 months and have only posted twice (this being the second).
