Water under iphone 4s screen iPhone 5

My iphone was completely submerged in water last night. I put it in rice. Everything seems to work properly. But there is what appears to be water under the iphone screen. In the very middle of the water, it is blue. What does thar mean? Will it go away? Can I help make it go away? Will my Apple insurance plan cover this? Please help!!

Iphone 5 Screen Damage Replacement

Hi, I bought factory unlocked Iphone 5 from US in Dec 2012. I came back to India few days ago and accidently iphone's screen got damaged.The phone is under limited hardware warranty with no extra apple care plan. I talked to Apple care in India and they say they cannot replace my damaged phone even if I pay to them Can you please let me know the procedure as on how shall i get my damaged Iphone5 replaced , can i ship it to directly to Apple or do I need to ship it to some of my friend in US or do I have to follow some other procedure? Please suggest. Thanks,Rahul

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

While swiping around the home screen or typing some things on the keyboard, the keys would magically press on its own. I had thought this was due to some hacking and turned off all forms of data, but the problem still persists. Is this a display issue?

iPhone 4S-Serial Number of replaced product

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

As the title suggests, I am in a country where no 4g is available yet, so im using it on a 3g network (Im in Taiwan by the way). I am going on a business trip and hope to use the 4g lte network there (through prepaid sim card). I have searched for the models that support 4g lte (like A1428-29). Mine is MD300TA. I have searched this model num and I couldnt find it except in Taiwan web. Anybody how has the similar model number and have used it in 4g networks? I am not getting LTE signal on my iPhone 5

I have recently purchased a 4G/LTE sim card from my carrier (mobily). The phone doesn't show LTE notification on the screen. It is stuck in 3G. I have checked all settings and even restored my phone but still it is stuck in 3G mode. My friend who sits in the office next to me just got his iPhone yesterday and he is getting LTE signal notification on the screen.

I bought my new iPhone 5 through Optus and it was delivered Wednesday. I didn't get the extra Apple Care plan, and today, barely 3 days later there is a crack in the front glass!!!!! How to get iPhone 5 2013 GSM model

So I had AT&T and bought the iPhone 5 from them, on contract, back on December 15 2012. I wanted to save money and have unlimited Data so I paid an Early Termination Fee to cancel my contract, got my unlock from them, and moved to T-Mobile prepaid $60 plan/mo.  So I get Edge coverage, or 3G wherever their reframed 1900 network is. BUT now T-Mobile has their own iPhone that is LTE-enabled, and has the 1700/2100 AWS bands, for 4G/LTE in most places! Can I get my model replaced with this model?? If so, how? It has the same model number as mine but people are referring to it as the "GSM 2013 model".

Move from Samsung to iPhone keep my number iPhone 4S

I currently have a several year old Samsung Flyte phone. I am included with my wife's account under the AT&T family plan. My "line" has no data plan linked to it - her iPhone 4S and her sister's iPhone 3 do. The contract with AT&T for my phone/line expired several months ago. I'm thinking about upgrading to an iPhone 4, but I don't want to give up my existing phone number. And, I understand that the iPhone uses a micro SIM card - different that other manufacturer's phones.  I'm pretty sure that I'll need to add a data plan to my "line" - not a big deal. Ideally, we want to add another line to the wife's plan (without data) and give the Samsung phone to her mom, who lives with us. But, I do not want to loose my phone number. We want my new iPhone to have my existing phone number and the Samsung for her mom to have a new number. Is this possible?

Huge data usage on iOS 6.1.2 with carrier COSMOTE in Greece on iPhone 5

I recently purchased a new iPhone 5 and it seems that I have managed to chew up 6,5 GB of Cellular Data in 7 days of owning it, while spending 80% of my time in WiFi locations (at home or in my office). I usually use around 500MB - 750 MB per month so I am extremely concerned. I contacted my carrier but they said that as I have only recently been added to my price plan they cannot see how much data I have really used until my first bill is printed...In addition their 80% usage warning when you have consumed more than 80% of your data plan doesnt work either because as they stated the system gets confused?!?!. They also told me to switch off Cellular Data as the iPhone 5 will use it when on Wifi...Whats the story on iPhone 5 using cellular data even when on Wifi????? Considering I am about to incur a 450 euro bill for the extra data usage, I would like to know if this a software fault (i.e. iCloud synching being stupid and using cellular data instead of wifi), a carrier settings fault, or simply a Cellular Data counter fault. For other users of the iPhone 5 phone on COSMOTE in Greece using LTE BEWARE! As they have no idea what is going on with this.

How can I get it across to Apple that the moment they let Facebook Home take over the home page on my iPhone or iPad I am gone forever and will never EVER buy an iPhone or iPod ever again? Facebook want to know far too much detail about my life as it is.  Why would I want them to be able to track my every movement and know who I am calling on my iPhone. This is an infingement on my/your privacy.  If news paper journalists can get done for hacking into yours or my phone, what will Facebook get?  And what will Apple get if they are found to be helping Facebook gather this information without the iPhone users consent??????

I bought my iphone 5 from "du" official telecom operator in UAE dubai since almost 3 weeks with a two years data plan. The on/ off / sleep button started to have a problem, i have to press hard on it to operate it and there is no mechanical click sound. What shall i do in this case? There is no apple store in uae, only apple authorized sales shops. Can they replace the device? Or should du replace it?

Hi. I updated my iPhone 4S, to ios 6.1.3. And now I can use over 1GB of my BT 10GB allowance in one day. First I thought it was someone hacking into my home wi fi, but after changing the password on that, I am still hemeraging data, unless I turn off the wi fi on my iPhone. I hope someone else has found this out, because, my next stop is emailing BBC's Click progamme, as O2 & Apple dont know of this happening. Thanks for your time reading this.

iMessage on iPhone 4 not sending pictures whether connected to WiFi or not

I have never had a problem with sending a picture via iMessage but earlier (before I had updated to iOS 6.1.3), a picture I was sending failed to send after taking about 2 minutes trying to. I tried sending it to another iMessage user but it wouldn't send either. I've reset the network settings, I've turned it on and off, I've turned iMessage on and off, I've turned MMS on and off, I've signed in and out of my Apple account on my phone, I've tried sending several different pictures but nothing seems to be working. In all the questions I have read, the solution seems to be to do with the modem, however, my pictures won't send whether connected to WiFi or not, so I don't think it's to do with my modem. I have full signal and 3G and unlimited data usage. I really don't know what else I can try.

iphone 4: Since Friday Evening i have not been able to make any calls or sms not even recieve them, i have tested my sim card on a different iphone 4 and i could make calls and sms, so i know it is not my sim card. i have phoned up my carrier which is t-mobile and they have gone through all the troubleshooting steps with me and have not worked?, i have full signal most of the time and i can still use my unlimited internet data?, i think it maybe a fault with the iphone or i have touched a setting on my phone, there is no scratches or dents or even cracks on my phone? i have not dropped it either. Does anyone know what this problem could be? i am totally lost with out my phone and in need of desperate help!

My work now provides me with an iPhone. My current phone is grandfathered with unlimited data plan. However, any change in the plan will eliminate the grandfathering. I would like to clear the data on the phone and have my wife assume the phone number to avoid this. Hello everyone.. I'm very confused here; I own an iPhone 5 which I have on O2. I bought it outright from the Apple Store in Belfast and just transferred my Business Sim to a Nano Sim and use that in the phone. I am going to the USA soon (Miami) to be a leader at a Summer Camp for 9 weeks and need to use my iPhone while I'm over there. I have been researching AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verzion all for prices, but I'm still very confused.. I want to call back to the UK for a low price, as well as use the web for WhatsApp and FB messenger etc. Will not be texting back to the UK. I need to know the answer to these questions: 1. When I put my O2 sim into my iPhone (which was bought sim free) does it lock to O2?2. What carriers will support the UK iPhone 5 for LTE? Would like to try this feature out as Northern Ireland hasn't been hit with this yet (probaby never will until 2040 ffs) I understand Verzion will not work as it is CDMA.3. What carrier would be most suited for using in Miami? 4. I have the approval message from my carrier to follow the steps to unlocking my iPhone. However I do not plan (to as of right now) to switch carriers. If I proceed with the restore, will my iphone still be unlocked? Or, do I have to switch sim cards with another carrier for my iphone to be unlocked?

Alone have an iPhone 5 glass crack in cold

I have an iPone 5 that I set on a sports bench while playing a sport out side.  It was about 30 degrees out.  After a half hour of play. I picked up the phone, touched the screen to see if there were any messages and crack, the screen shattered.  Not only that but the phone battery was completely dead.  Has anyone else had this problem? I have Apple Care Plus on the phone and was told the repair counted as one of the incidents covered by the plan.  When I argued the point that it broke due to cold the representative said he understood and wished it could be covered but Apple's policy is to treat all glass breakage as an accident. I am an engineer, not a materials engineer but an engineer all the same.  I suspect there is a design flaw with the screen due to its shape and the thinness of the device.  It appears to me the case cooled at a quicker rate then the glass and stressed the screen.  The screen was further stressed by the heat of the electronics inside.  When I touched the cold screen with my worm finger, the added heat as a point source further stressed the screen to its yield point, causing it to shatter.  I believe this is a product flaw that Apple should repair at no cost. Please let me know it you have had a similar issue.  I did not have the third party screen proctor on the phone.  Only the glass. If you have not had this issue, protect the phone from the cold.  I had a iPone 4 for years that was left in much colder temperatures without issue.  That is why I suspect the shape and thinness of the device can cause the screen to crack in cold temperatures.

Hey, so I have an iPhone 4 that and I cancelled a contract I had with Fido, by paying the deactivation fee in full.  I'm getting by just fine with wifi, but today I'm going on a 2 day trip where I won't have access to wifi.  I'm a little short on money and don't want to go pay the money for a sim card and find out that I've wasted the little cash I do have.  I looked around online, and most of the IMIE checkers I found were either paid or currently down.   If there's a way I can tell for sure that my iPhone is unlocked?  And even if it wasn't would it be possible for me to get a sim card from the same company?   I wish to do prepaid service if that helps, I only really need my phone for the next two days. Also I'm leaving in like 16 hours so a fast response would be greatly appreciated.

Verizon charges 30 for free upgrade to iPhone 5

Just got my bill after going to my "free" upgrade to an iPhone5. Verizon charges a $30 fee to upgrade the phone. I challenged it with Verizon and they vigorously defended the charge and by the way reduced my data plan from unlimited to 2GB.  So I get less for more, and they defend it????  I bought the phone at an apple store,and the apple folks couldnt be nicer - my conversation with Verizon ended after an hour by suggesting that the Apple rep was misinformed and Verizon wanted to correct him. I am livid and Verizon's blame of a an Apple rep is really a low blow.  apple - Verizon is throwing crap your way, and I think it's not right. Your rep couldn't be nicer. Why don't you get into the carrier business Apple? You would not treat customers like Verizon does!!!

How can i connect two iphone s using bluetooth

I am trying to connect a iPhone 3 with an iPhone 4 using bluetooth so I can use the IP3 as a personal hotspot using a New Zealand prepaid Skinny sim (the IP4 has an Australian sim). I have paired the IP3 with my MacBook Pro and a Samsung Galaxy using bluetooth and it works well as a hotspot. However the two iPhones can't discover each other ... is there a workaraound, eg an app that can enhance the very basic functionality provided by Apple? The phones are running iOS 6.0  and iOS6.1 respectively.

Slow Wi-Fi only on iPhone s iPhone 4S

Yesterday, I realized that my iPhone 4s was running slow on our home Wi-Fi (AT&T U-Verse with a Motorola Gateway NVG510). I have the 12 Mbps plan and typically get around 11.0-11.5 Mbps on my MacBook, MacBook Air, iPad, iPad 2, etc. But, I used Speedtest yesterday after my phone felt slow and it is getting 1.5-3.0 Mbps at the most. The weird thing is that, up until now, my iPhone has tested at the same 11.0-11.5 that all my other devices get. I also checked my girlfriend's 4s and hers is going slow as well (1.5-3.0 Mbps).  Why are the two iPhones the only things that are going slow on Wi-Fi? I haven't changed any settings on the phone or to our home network (nor do I even know how to!). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have restarted the wireless gateway and restarted both phones with no change to Wi-Fi speed.

I am in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and I got an iPhone 4 GSM from my friend, which I plan to use if my iPhone 4S dies and I need a loaner. The iPhone 4 GSM is not jailbroken and it's locked to Telus Mobility in Canada. The iPhone is running iOS 6.1.However, the home button on the iPhone 4 sticks almost every time I use it (closing running applications is a real pain since most of the time the iPhone doesn't detect that I've pressed the home button twice), and the phone occasionally resets itself for no reason. I didn't get a receipt for the iPhone 4 when my friend gave it to me and I don't have any sort of warranty for it.Can I still get it fixed by Apple? Should I get it fixed by Apple or get a third party to look into it?

Personal Hotspot iPhone 4 disabled by previous GSM operator

My current operator allows and has included in my plan cellular internet tethering. (I had used their services on this device before as well). I have switched to another service provider (O2 - UK) at some point, and they have somehow disabled my personal hotspot option via a "Network Settings" message they have sent when I first switched over. Now I am back with my old GSM operator, but their support center does not know how to re-enable the option on my phone. The "Set Up Personal Hotspot" button in the "Cellular" tab is grayed out and cannot be used right now. I am already on 6.0.1 and cannot update the iOS. Tried resetting the Network settings several times - it does not work. I really do not want to revert back to factory settings - lots of things to lose.. I just thought I'd also ask here as well. (By the way I can insert my SIM to other devices and they can tether the internet, so the trouble is really in the device) I would appreciate any help.Thanks.
