battery draining on iPhone 5
I just got the iPhone 5 last month. I did an OS upgrade not too long ago. My phone seems to be draining very quickly. Twice I thought it was because some how, a number was called and I thought the line may have stayed open a good long time. Now I don't know. I mostly text, do no web surfing, ocassionally check my email. The past week I keep getting battery low message. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Last night the screen of my phone 4 slowly went black. I tried charging it while hard resetting it but that did not help. also tried just resetting it but nothing with that either. I tried to chat with Itunes but couldn't becasue I cannot get the serial number. I do not have an sd tray nor can I use the screen. It is not printed on the back of the device not is it connecting to Itunes so I can get it from there.

#I just received my BRAND NEW, SEALED, iPhone4 32 GB FACTORY UNLOCKED which I bought from Ebay. After unboxing, I switched on the phone to find that it was already activated, and did NOT show the "Connect to iTunes" screen, which gave me doubts whether this phone is actually brand new, the phone does have that protective film on the front and back which normally comes with brand new iPhones, anyhow I went online and did some intense research and found interesting facts about the serial number, and from my understanding the phones with serial numbers starting with 5K could be a refurbished phone, and indeed my supposedly BRAND NEW iPhone which came in a sealed retail box with all accessories does have a 5K serial number, so I did some more googling and came across a web site which gives details about an iPhone with its serial number and it shows this phone is a refurbished one. I checked on Apple website for warranty and it says "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contactus." #Now all you good knowledgeable people out there, please please shed some light on this matter.Is this really a genuine brand new phone? When I contacted the seller regarding the phone being already activated, he said it is normal with phones which are factory unlocked. But I believe it is actually supposed to show - “Connect to iTunes” screen. That was how it was with my iPhone 3G. At least right out of a brand new box. Am I correct? How can a refurbished iPhone come in a sealed retail box? Even if that was the case, would it cost the same as a normal brand new FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone because I paid US $ 904.00 for this. Does Apple sell refurbished iPhones as new? What confuse me is that the box have all the labels intact as it was a sealed box, and the serial number and IMEI number match with the actual phone. Should I consider this a genuine product that Apple meant to sell as it is or better I go for a claim and either get a refund or replacement from the seller on Ebay?. My iphone 4 has just completed my two year contract with vodafone. However in this time my phone broke and I used apple to repair it. Which in fact is actually a switch service. So now I have a different imei number than what I started with. I rang vodafone to unlock my phone, but they say they can't and there is nothing they can do as the phone was not issued by them. I also can't seem to find a way to unlock my phone via apple. So what can I do??Any help would be awesome!

Hi there, I've suffering from a call receving problem which is - Example - I have a contact saved at my phone "Mr. A" - 01619001234 [country code not present]But when i got call then it comes for - +88 01619001234, so its not showing Mr. A is calling. There are some numbers on my contact which contains country code (+88) and some of them not. So, how can i add country code number to each phone number while country code not present? iPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode. Error code-1 .
I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!
I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked
I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue? I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. I bought the iPhone 5 from Star One Mobile in Sim Lim Square Singpore recently. After reaching my place , just found that the serial number and IMEI number in my iPhone 5 product and the packaging box are different. When I check on the website the packaging number shows the product is replaced but the number in product shows valid. Can some one explain the difference?I did not anticipate an Apple product having a difference in serial and IMEI number from the packaging --- probable that the Star one mobile could have changed the package?

My IPhone wont turn on after updating
My Iphone 4G was updating to the latest i.OS software on itunes (on my windows computer). As usual, my phone had to restart. It turned off, but as it was turning on (when the screen just shows that silver apple logo) an error message came up on itunes saying that it couldnt update the software (I forgot to get the error number). But my phone is stuck with that silver apple logo on it. My computer tells me to restore my phone, which I tried, but everytime I do that, itunes says "extracting software" and then it says "preparing to restore" then it comes up with an error message (number 2009). I have tried restarting my computer. My phone is stuck like this. What should I do? Please help!

Okay so first my iPhone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iPhone 5 and restored my old settings to the iPhone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iPhone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

My phone will not restore properly iPhone 4S
I just bought a second hand (perfect condition) iPhone 4S today, the user sold it because they had upgraded to an iPhone 5. The previous user did not restore the phone they just deleted all of their previous data (contacts, pictures, applacations, they left their 1,100 songs though), so I planned on restoring it later tonight to start fresh. I had it activated to my phone number at the Verizon store on my way to a family party and used it throughout today but put barely anything onto it knowing I would be restoring it tonight. I got home and plugged it into my laptop and went to iTunes found "Emily's iPhone" and then hit the restore button like normal, it worked perfectly fine and went the whole 14 minutes it said it had to. Then my phone went to the "connect to iTunes" screen when it was already connected. I checked to make sure everything was plugged in correctly, and it all was perfectly fine. I tried the manual reboot (holding the home and lock buttons for a few seconds) and all it does is shut off and bring me to the same "connect to iTunes screen".. someone please tell me how I can restore my phone! My iphone tunred off and it won't turn back on. I have tried charging it, I have tried holding both buttons for 5 minutes at a time. It still does nothing. I've tried going to chat with apple service but i need to turn on the phone to see my serial number to get to that. I'm stuck can anyone help?

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Weather app showing wrong day and temperature iPhone 3G
When I check the weather in the notification tray and in the built-in weather app it says it's Sunday and the temperature is 45 degrees where I am. That's incorrect. It's Thursday and 67 degrees. I also tried weather for major cities and it's showing the wrong day and temperature for them as well. I checked Yahoo Weather and that data is correct. I restarted my phone and at some point it showed the wrong data for my town in the local weather page, but the correct weather when I manually added my town, but when refreshing it's wrong for both. There's a number of complaints on Twitter about this. What's going on? How can Yahoo's weather be correct, but the iPhone's wrong since the iPhone weather app uses data from Yahoo?

How I get my outgoing server to work on my Iphone 5
I bought my Iphone 5 from Apple when it was first available. I have had an ATT acount for many years along with an MSN email account. I have had issues with sending email from my IPhone 5 since I have recieved this phone. I have deleted and readded the email application numberous times(sometimes 10 times a day), I have reset my phone a number of times, I have also changed my email password a number of times and readded to both my incoming server and outgoing server passwords. I have spoken to ATT tech support, Apple Tech support and Msn tech support multiple times, they have not been able to help me. I sometimes have gotten it to work for a few minutes to a couple of hours but as soon as I try to send an email from my phone again it will no longer send an email from my phone. I use my phone for work and this is very annoying as I have to use my email for work.I need help! I have had Iphones since the first Iphone and Mac computers for over 10 years but I am now over it, at this point I would not recommend Iphones. I am now at the point of buying a phone that I can use and it will not be an Apple Iphone.

My sister works as a nurse.. she called her collgue to explain all this and ask what network he was on. She doesnot kno and her husband isnt home for another cpl weeks he is military. My sister doesnt want to wait a few weeks to use her new phone. Is there anyway to unlock and activate this phone giving all the detials of the phone and confirmation from his wife regarding the new user ? Ive read on the internet about jailbraking and all that nonsense.. but i dont want to damage the phone.. It isnt stolen isnt lost sureley i dont have to 'hack' into a perfectly legitimate phone to use do i? Hello, I've had my iPhone 4S since July 2012 and am currently on a 2 year contract with EE in the UK. I've been having a problem for about a week now that came to my attention about last Friday. Basically whenever I dial a number and someone picks up the phone and I begin talking, nobody can hear me? They won't hear me say anything and will simply hang up, I've recalled this happening to several people but I wasn't sure if there was a genuine fix or whether it merited getting a new handset? I've considered taking to direct to EE because the nearest Apple Store is in Manchester, and I only want to travel there if I have good reason to. Is there any known fix for this? i have tried resetting my phone by holding both buttons but have yet to do a full restore (Last resort) Just wondering if anyone knows? -Matt
Remove compass iPhone 4S
As golfer I would like to use my Iphone for distance measuring on the golf course instead of a dedicated Golf GPS device. There are a number of such applications avaliable. The issue is that USGA and R&A (the owner of the golf rules) will render the device (my Iphone 4s) non-conforming when its a compass istalled on the device! If it would be possible to reemove the compass I can use my Iphone but I'm not aware of any possibillity to do that. Is ther any?! Ideal would be if the (visuable) compass application have to be installed from Apple Store as optional in next OS version!

I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem. I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph. Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service. I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them. As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers. I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Hi All, So I have disbled my iPhone 4s by forgetting my passcode (like it seems many other people do!). Also as the phone went dead as I was away for the weekend the SIM is also locked. I have often backed it up to iCloud but I never had the camera roll back up option ticked as I cannot see it when I sign into iCloud. I dont have iTunes on my laptop or access to the original iTunes where it was synced a year and a half ago. My question is can I get the phone unlocked by Apple? ( I have the IMEI number and proof of purchase) Is there any way of keeping or getting my photos/videos and messages? When I had my phone plugged into the laptop and was clicking backup through wifi will this have also backed up my photos? Thanks!

Rectangle transparent shield has appeared blocking taps on keypad iPhone 5
A weird rectangular, transparent, shield has appeared "above" any key selected from lock code to apps that blocks any tapping on any keys or keypad.If I tap hard and fast, it might catch but then enters the number, or whatever, multiple times (cause of rapid tapping). This has happened 6 times since March, where I've had to fully restore factory setting. First time, didn't know had to manually back up apps, dir., etc., so had to re-build it all 1st time. Since, same weird transparent shield appears, then no button will "select" or function until full restore. Because after rapid tapping, hard, one might stick, after 1, 2, 3, Dozentaps, it proves something transparent is blocking (the rectangle appears as a fine point box line hovering above anything I tap). This last time, the full restore put it back, and the problem is still there.Am back on my old 4S, which I kept, as spare (amazingly) until a fix. Will prolly have to send it in on a slow boat to China, where itwas made, which is gonna be quicker than a repair job, I'm sure. Nothing like this comes up on the forum, any advice is well appreciated.Thank you kindly.
