Calendar will not sync with iPhone 5

Using OSX 10.8.4 on a Mac mini late 2012 model, trying to sync Calender on mac to calender on my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4 No matter how many youtube videos I watch or how many threads I read, my iphone calender will not sync with the calender on my mac. Any ideas?I have both my mac and iphone setup in icloud settings just as described in every video. Everything syncs just fine, from notes, contacts, reminders, photostream, it all works as expected except for calander. Please Help! Thanks,-Dean

My iPhone 5 wont connect to my itunes

Hi every one I posted this same problem up a few months ago and i have tried everything that people had posted and i havent managed to fix the problem. So im just going to run through it again and hope someone might come through with something new that i havent tried so here goes this is the story. My iPhone 5 or iPad mini used to connect to itunes fine but now have suddenly stopped for some reason. Im sure that the problem is something thats changed on my computer because it connects to an other laptop no problem so something isnt right. Ive tried pretty much everything on the apple site that people have recomended but was just woundering weather anyone knew anything else. I also have an iPod Nano but this has the old 30pin connector lead and heres the weird thing it connects no problem so why does the iphone and ipad not connect ?????? I have tried differnt leads and a connector which connects to my iphone then connects with a 30 pin connector and no luck . Any help would be very grateful Thanks

iPhone 4S bluetooth issue

The thing is that i've been trying to use my iPhone 4S as master transmiter of GPS signals and accelerometer data for my ipad mini to use an app called air navigation pro, the deal is that when i try to pair my devices vía bluetooth they just seem not to recognize each other, the only way i can get them to work is by using personal hotspot or share internet option vía bluetooth, but thats the only way.I've heard theres a bug related to that, that our friends in cupertino just ignored when they updated IOS, Anyone can help me?, does Anyone has Any info about this, or maybe a solution.By the way since this may be due to my IOS instaled in my iPhone my devices are:-Ipad mini wifi only IOS 6.1.3-iPhone 4s IOS 6.1.3Thanks in advance for Any info proportioned

Major iPhone 5 issues Help

I've had my iPhone since release date. Everything has been working great up until about a week ago. The phone has an amazing battery life, I guess an update fixed that for me. But now my iPhone will reset itself out of no where 3-4 times a day at random times. The keyboard will get stuck on the screen after entering something and clicking done. Also the iPhone will freeze (I've tried leaving it for as long as a half an hour) and be totally unresponsive. I usually have to use the sleep/wake button in combination with the home button just to reset the phone so it works. It also randomly drops and won't connect to my home wifi at all, I also have a iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S and all of these work flawless with zero problems on my wifi network. My warranty is out in September, but I'm worried about going to an apple genius and having them ask me to re create the problem. What if it doesn't happen at that time? What can I do?

Being the young tech savvy kid I jumped straight in for the iPhone 5 and frankly was quite excited and amazed but later annoyed my charger and cable were perfectly fine when taking out of box but a couple of weeks later I had problems my iPhone would charge for about 2-3% but then stop and wouldn't start for about 2 mins, I would take it out and then putting it back in but the it just doesn't charge I have the latest software iOS 6.1.3 and thought that would fix it( thinking it was software glitch like many other glitches I've had) but it didn't quite frankly I am definitely thinking of a Samsung s4 as they promise more for less and dont have same problem also I am a dedicated customer and have a iMac desktop, a mackbook pro retina and a iPad mini and the Genius Bar me too wait for 2 weeks until they can get to me and that is public holiday so in theory it's about 2 1/2 weeks and I probably need a new cable but am not keen on getting new lightning cable for $30 thank you and hope u can give me answers to my problem soon thnx

3g data connection on iPhone 4s inconsistent

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari.  Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text.  Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result.  Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem.  Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset.  I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?

Hello,  Apple user's, I am a 15yr old with a passion for computers & design. Anyways I am interested in developing for the iPhone, as I'll be getting one in a few months. I've never really developed any type of games before, but am in a game design school magnet, and want to begin to learn how to program as I've been meaning to for a while now. I'm interested in developing for the iPhone, and know I need a Mac, Objective-c knowledge as well as XCode knowledge, and a $99 Subscription to be able to sell and test my apps. So here's some questions I've been wanting to ask for awhile...1. Would you recommend a Mac-mini ? I see i5 Mac mini's on craigslist going for around $400-$450, and know I could afford that. I switch between my mom/dad's house weekly, and have a Windows based desktop that I built w/ monitor at each house, So I'm thinking i could just bring a small Mac-mini back and forth with me, as they're pretty small.2. Could you guy's point me towards some nice Objective-C or XCode tutorials or books? I've just started spring break and want to take advantage of the time off.3. I'm only 15, so how would I go about selling apps, Ill probably have mostly free apps but would like to incorporate paid versions too, and I know i need to be 18 to sign a contract, would i just get my mom to sign the contract, and if she gets taxed extra I would just pay her the amount she was taxed ? (BTW, I'm in FL)4. How would I sell apps under a company name, I've heard of people trying to list apps and it saying they're real name instead of a company / made up name. There are obvious reasons I'd like to sell an app under a company name, no one wants to buy an app from a company named, for example "Steve". It pretty much set's your app up for failure. Would I have to register all kinds of legal crap just to make it say a developer name like, for example " FunTide Apps".5. Mail only working over Cellular no WiFi Networks. iPhone 3G

A couple of days ago my Mail service at home stopped working. I only can receive Emails when I switch off WiFi and use my AT&T 4G. At home I am using a whole Apple enviorment and all my devices (iPad mini (6.1.1), iPhone 4S (6.1.2), iPad (5.1.1), MacBook Pro (10.8.2)) can not receive Emails. When I am going to iCloud.com I can send and receive mails on my Mac, but over the OS X Mail.app and iOS Mail.app nor receiving nor sending works. I am using several Accounts on all deveices (iCloud, Yahoo!, Google and AOL) most of them are not working, only AOL received one mail yesterday. My first thought was of course the WiFi network which might have problems with the Apple Mail program, but I already tried another network with my iPhone. In this other network I am getting an error on my iPhone which tells me "Cannot get Mail. Connection to server failed." On my Mac at home mail.app tells me that my account are offline and that there might be a problem with iCloud, for more information visit iCloud support etc. Yes I did restart my deveices, yes I tried deleting and adding the mail account, yes I tried restarting the WiFi and yes I did that with iOS and OS X.

Hi. Right now I have an iPhone 3GS, and since I have some spare money I'm considering buying a new phone. I think since I already have an iPhone, I might aswell get a new one. But I don't know which to buy. I don't want to buy a phone which has tonnes of stuff I don't need or has nothing at all on it I need. My options are iPhone 4S or 5. I'm not sure about 4 because the network issues and it's overall just an old phone. The 4S is a good phone, as most of the people I know have it, and it's got most of the things I need, but I'm not sure if the iPhone 5 is worth it because most of the new features are included in iOS 6, other than 4G LTE. Please help, because if I buy the wrong phone I will have a problem on my hands.  PS. Incase this helps, right now I have the iPad mini, iPhone 3GS, Macbook Pro 13inch 2.6Ghz mid-2010, iPod shuffle 4th generation and iPod touch 2nd generation.

Why doesn't iPhone 5 US GSM work with Germany's biggest carrier

I bought an iPhone 5 16 GB during my travel to New York in December. The people at the Apple Retail Store at 5th Av assured me that the hardware will work with all major GSM carriers in Europe ... which now turned out not to be correct. Because now - back in Germany - I can not use the phone because it just does not connect with my carriere's Network (Deutsche Telekom). SIM has been cross checked in plenty of other devices (EU Version of iPhone 5 / US iPad mini / EU iPad mini) and it works perfect in those devices. Only in the US GSM iPhone 5 none of the tested Telekom Nano SIMs worked. What makes it even more strange is that a German o2 (Telefonica) nano SIM works in the iPhone. O2 ist Number 3 in der German market - Telekom is #1. Neither German Apple Support Team nor Telekom stuff were able to assist or come up with a solution - Has anybody here heard about this issue before? Am I really the first person on earth with this problem?  Thanks!

iPhone 5 S card modification

As I continue down the path of Appleization of my life (currently 2 macs, ipad, ipod touch and bunches of apps, books, movies and TV) it has become time for me to consider getting an iPhone.  My issue is related to the fact that I no longer allow myself to be exploited with "subsidized" phones from the service carriers but rather pay cash for every device and use a discount service.  My current provider costs me $45 with unlimited everything (except upgradable capped hi speed data that gets throttled over the limit).  Never a horrible surprise in my phone bill again!  I can add an additional line for just $10! So I want to add my iPhone as a second phone line.  The problem is my discount carrier only offers the mainstream sized SIM card.  I have read online that I can customize a regular sized SIM to mini and micro.  Can anyone verify if this is possible?  If its possible I will do it.  I'm even willing to go through a few SIM cards in the attempt ($25 a piece) if i'm sure success is reasonably possible. Would love to hear any bodies thoughts on this especially would love to hear if anyone has actually tried it. Thanks and kindest regards!

mini Cooper not working with Lightning 30 pin Adaptor for iPhone 5

I have a 2012 mini Cooper with a "standard" stereo.  I used to plug my iPhone 4 into the cord provided by mini and it played my music & podcasts.  Now, with the Lightning to 30 pin Adapter to connect my iPhone5, my music is now only coming out of 1 speaker and the phone information will not appear.  I do not have mini Connect.  Anyone else having this issue? Iphone 5 got wet

hi, i have a question... my iphone 5 got wet all night, when i noticed, it was 6am in the morning. the sink explode and all the floors in the house got wet, like a mini flood. the iphone 5 was in the floor upside down charging all night, it was ON.when i noticed it was wet, i shaked it, and then dried it with a towel, then i used the hair drier in low setting to remove any excess of water, the iphone 5 is new i bought it in nov-2-12,  its only 2 months,  the lock button got wet and the back camera, i think the water entered thru the front speaker[ the hole where u hear the other person]  so i used a ziploc bag and fill it with a bunch of rice,   like i said it was ON and i couldnt turn it off. theres a stain in the middle of the screen and close to the battery symbol in the top right of the screen. the touch didnt respond very well but now its off with the sim card out. yesterday it was searching, now it has signal.... i didnt have a warranty [apple care]i dont know if apple can replace my phone without that warranty if its only 2 months oldi dont know what to do, help

Very disappointed at being unable to register iPhone 3G

My mini IPad, was bought for me in the UK for Christmas, I want to download apps but it requires my bank card details, it then tells me I cannot downlod the apps because I have not registered with I tunes, whats that all about. So we then go to register with Itunes and put all the details in and it declines because there is no postcode, but Apple there are NO POST CODES IN EGYPT,, Can someone in the community tell me in layman terms how to overcome this please, otherwise like my KINDLE, it will end up on the top shelf of my wardrobe unwanted, and eventually get thrown out as an unwanted piece of rubbish. I am very dissapointed.

why isn't ios 6.0.2 available for iphone 4s

Since the IOS 6.1 update i have had nothing but problems with my wifi on my iphone 4s, if i connect to more than 1 wifi account it is painfully slow at loading anything, it really does take ages to load. If i reset my network settings and connect to my home wifi and no other wifi anywhere else that it's much better, but as soon as i connect somewhere else, it goes really bad again. I see an update has come out for iphone 5 and ipad mini to resolve wifi issues, but they are running the same OS as iphone 4/4s users who are also having wifi issues, so why has the update to fix these problems not been made available to us? Everyone needs this update as IOS 6.1 cleary has wifi issues and it's not right that ours shouldn't be fixed just because we're not on the most recent phone. Please release this update for everyone!

I was wondering if it would be possible to pay for an iPhone 5 and and iPad mini with the US prices and have it shipped over to the UK? As this would be a cheaper alternative. Hello!May I ask a favor from people who have: - New iPhone 4S (bought after iPhone 5 launch day)- Old iPhone 4S (bought prior to iPhone 5 announcement)- iPhone 5 Please take pictures of direct sunlight/focused to the sun AND indoor lighting/focused to the lights in the ceiling, BECAUSE, here's my problem.  I've heard about the iPhone 5 purple flare issue. There were multiple guesses on why, it was either a camera software flaw, (as Apple said) the thin and sleek design of iPhones nowadays and, the sapphire lens cover.At first, I was like, it was both a camera software flaw and because of the sapphire crystal lens cover. Then, I didn't mind it at all until when I went outing with my family: I randomly took pictures with my iPad 2 (WiFi+3G, November of 2011, yes, last year) focused on the sun and found a purple color present and recently used the iPad as my camera for my school field trip, and it still had the purple on it. I started thinking the purple thing is from the software the camera is offering and using, but I also was considering that the purple color wasn't as wide, thick and large like the one in iPhone 5 compared to my iPad. When the iPad mini was released, there were vloggers in YouTube posting videos about the 5MP 1080p iSight camera tests of the iPad mini. There were still purple colors of the sun's corona in them. I went iPod touch 5MP iSight camera tests and still saw the same thing, the purple lining. In fact, there were pictures of the iPhone 4S suffering from the purple color, which I assume that the iPhone 4S is running iOS 6 that time, I'm not sure though, it may be iOS 5.  So after seeing all these, I've thought, there was one commonality, they were all iOS 6 devices (as I said, not sure with the case of the 4S) But I then considered the larger purple ones in iPhone 5. So I was analyzing, and I came up with this: — The purple color is produced by the camera software provided by iOS 6, a flaw or something.— A larger purple color is much more prominent in iPhone 5 because of it's sapphire lens cover.— The sapphire lens cover in iPhone 5 captures thicker flare than ones in iPhone 4S and iPads, iPod touches.— Meaning, the purple color is present in the thick and extra area of flare, whatever the iOS device is. Tell me what you think. After using one of the competition's wide screen phone, I found myself using it more then my iPhone. Though it wasn't as good of a user experience as my iPhone, the wider viewing display grabbed my attention. Viewing video content on their wider phones, sadly is much better in my opinion. The reason, the content that display at an 16x9 ratio. Wider is the way to go, truth to this is found in Reviews regarding the new iPad mini. The iPad mini has been said to have a perfect size screen when viewing content and playing Multitouch games. It has a better screen resolution as compared to it competitor. The iPad 3 and 4 have gorgeous Retina displays. Why not have a wider iPhone that's both thin and wider so we can enjoy our digital media we've purchased from Apple to have that same comfort level we get from the iPad? Having a display to be available at a resolution that's at a 16x9 Ratio is better regarding content. I love the iPhone, we need to finally go wider on the iPhone. Content viewing is being effected by the screen size on such a magnificent device. If Apple posted up a vote regarding their content displayed on their iOS devices, I'm sure people would agree that the resolution found on the iPad and iPad mini are much superior when viewing Apple's video content then from what you get from both the iPhone and iPod Touch. Not because they are smaller, it's the width of the screen then the mire size. Apple's video content is around about an 16x9 ratio as like most if not all of the content found on iTunes and the Apps store. I've found myself wanting an iPad mini as a substitute to my iphone. Wider viewing is best for Apple's video content, working documents and game play. I would surely be happier with a wider screen phone then to travel with both devices to be able to enjoy my media.

I was approved by AT&T to unlock my old iPhone 4 after buying a new iPhone 5. But I can't get it to say it's unlocked after restoring. A possible reason is that I now have a new Mac Pro computer, and my old iPhone 4 was connected to my old Mac mini, which I now have in storage. Cannot send SMS iPhone 5 ios6

I can recieve sms messages but cannot send.I also can't switch imessage on, just says "Waiting for activation"As far as i can see everything else is working.I have restored the phone several times using back up and set up as a new phone. Unfortunately i can't check with another sim card as it doesn't fit I am now forced to use my back-up (private) iPhone 4 to send sms at work and the new iPhone 5 to receive calls. This is extremely disappointing as I have owned all the iPhones and was pretty happy with them all.I use phone and messages all day at work and have had to get some collegues to message me using a message app, not good advertising for the new iPhone. If I can't sort this out soon I'm going to have to sell this nice black useless gadget to some poor sucker and buy a Samsung... this'll not go down well as I sync Macbook pro, iMac, Mac mini and iPad with my phone and love the systems. PLEASE HELP!!! I'M GETTING JACK OF THIS....

IOS6 crashing to iphone 4

After downloading IOS6 my iphone 4 crashes... When can we expect IOS 6.1 for bug fixing??? Im a apple user way back 2004 whe i got my first white ipod then ipod mini... Now iphone 4 and planning to purchase iphone5 but due to its bugs i became hesitant...

i had my iphone 4 unlocked by my service provider o2 who have asked apple to unlock it but how long does it take and how can i tell when it is unlocked it was submitted last wedensday ? it just says no service at the moment but i had my sim number transfered to a mini sim and that took 24 hours so im just waiting for the phone now

Apple I have an iPhone 5 and purple tint in pictures real and going to be most costly mistake to have changed lens to sapphire crystal lens. This HUGE Why did you fix what not broken

Why, because some clumsy, careless humans couldn't stop scratching a less that 1/4 inch wide lens?  That is no reason for replacing the lens and pandering to their inability to handle advanced technology is not going to push the technology forward. Tossing out cheap cases like you did for the imagined iPhone 4 antenna "problem" will not fix this VERY real problem. I have been a loyal customer since 2005 and this, as stated in the title, could be your most costly mistake. Either your software engineers are going to have to compensate for the purple tint appearing in photos or you're going to sacrifice massive profits to physically replace the lens in every iPhone 5 you have sold and continue to sell. I've read that Apple customer service has tried to sweep this away by falsely claiming that the purple tint is "normal". It is absolutely not normal by any stretch of the imagination. Do not be silent Apple customers! Let the complaints pour like Niagara Falls or settle for the garbage that has been sold. My former iPhone 4 took better pics. I hope Apple didn't do the same with the pending iPad mini or this could turn into a maelstrom that even Steve Jobs would not have tolerated. Signed, Extremely dissapointed

iPhone 4 replacement have yellow tint to displays

After several years of good service from my iPhone 4, it developed a fatal USB hardware error while attache to a B&W Zepplin mini. As I was out of warranty, my best option was to purchase a new iPhone 4 which would preserve my eligibility to move up to an iPhone 5 in the future. To my disappointment, the new 4 had a yellow tint to the display. This is especially obvious when compared to another iPhone 4 known to match the very well balance color display of my first one. I returned to the Apple Genius Bar within the 14 day return period and was very well treated by the genius who helped me. Unfortunately, the replacement unit had the identical yellow and slightly lower contrast in the display! By scanning the discussion forums it is easy to verify that this issue started with some early iPhone 4's and seems to be reappearing in the 4S line as well. I've had a great history of Apple starting with the ][e, 128k Mac, MacBook and many desktops as well. I started with the iPhone, then 3GS and finally 4. Currently I have both an iPad and "the new iPad." So I would say that is the profile of a valuable customer. I was planning to move up to a new MacBook Pro with Retina display only to learn that while unit which come with the Samsung Super-IPS display have excellent color and no image retention (consider the irony based on the current conflict between these two parties). However, units with the LG IPS display not only don't have as high quality image but can exhibit considerable image retention. It would be tragic if Apple feels it must relax its quality standards to maintain the manufacturing output needed to sustain high sales. I have been willing to pay a premium for the top quality, design sophistication and superior UI of Apple products. It's sad to learn that quality standards are evidently slipping. Time to "Think Different!"

Transfer Saves iPhone 3G

Hello, I'm an iPod 4G owner and just purchased an iPhone 3GS.Now, I made a lot of progress with some games but the saves aren't on my iPhone, so I have to start over( like 100 Floors, mini Cars, etc.)I have sync'd all the apps, some games do continue, but other don't.  So does any one know how to transfer the saves? I don't care how. P.S. I still have the iPod, didn't changed anything on it.
