i droped my phone in water and it still works except for ringer buttons dont work iPhone 4S

i picked my phone up out of the water and it was still on and working but now after about  30 mins it wont let me listen to music or change the volume of the ringer and now the icon for the ringer wont go away

I go on vacation tomorrow, to Egypt for a week. According to the weather it's currently 40 degree's! I will most likely listen to spoitfy (offline-mode) while lying in the sun, i will cover my iPhone to keep it out of direct sunlight, however will it be safe? It's a brand new iPhone and i'm worried i will destory the battery life or hardware or anything in general.  Thanks.

iphone 5 suddenly no sound

I recently had a software update (6.1.4) on my Iphone 5.  I ran the update last week and everything seemed fine.  However, as of yesterday my phone no longer made sound, it just stopped making sounds to everything.  It makes no sound when it rings, when I receive a text/email or when I try to listen to music.  The sound is completely dead.  The little switch on the left of the phone is turned on for volume.  I did a reset and nothing seems to help.  Has anyone encountered this problem?  Does anyone have a solution?

Playback speed for IPhone 3GS-where it

Hi all, I have a few Audiobooks which I listen to on my IPhone 3GS a lot and I put a couple more and last night I downloaded them and now they have an echo which it didnt before.  From what i have read I need to change the playback speed but from all the feedback I have seen online there is no icon on my phone at the bottom right corner I can touch to change it.  I have just about tried everything with no luck. PLEASE is there anyone that can help me. I have already lost these books once and have spent a lot of money getting them back.  I will very angry if I cant listen to this now. My phone volume is very low only for calls. I use the Voxer walkie talkie app and the ear piece volume is loud, but as soon as I make a call or listen to a voice mail, the volume is near mute as max volume. Any solutions?!

iPhone 4s Headphone Jack Problems

Just yesterday I plugged in my headphones to listen to music, and music was only playing out of one side, and very vaguely out of the other side.  I thought it was my set of headphones so I tried multiple sets of different headphones, with the same problem.  Is there any way I can fix this? Hello, I have previously used Shoutcast radio player on Android and I liked the fact that it showed the name of the song playing.  I downloaded Shoutcast for my Iphone and that feature has been removed it seems.  So my question is this:  Is there a preferabley free music app that will allow me to search for my genre of music and play that station and list names of songs? My generes of music are Metallica Stations and Soundtrack Stations.  That's what I like to listen to mostly. So is there any app out there or am I stuck with Shoutcast until they update the app?   Thank you for your assistance

aux connection to car no longer working wiPhone

I've been using my iPhone 4 connected to my 2010 Honda CRV via aux cable for a full year no pbs.  Yesterday, in the middle of a song, it just suddenly stopped.  The on/off click comes through, but no other audio (no iTunes, audio books, etc).  I thought it might have just been a bum cable, so I tried a new cable.  Nope.  So then thought it was my phone - but audio works fine w/headphones (and its own speakers).  Then I tried connecting the phone to my husband's 1997 Toyota FJ - and had the exact same problem.  So - two different cars (on which the aux connection has always worked with my iPhone 4), three different aux cables.  The weird thing is that the on/off click comes through on both car speakers when it's connected, just no other audio.  Oh, and I connected the phone to my CRV USB (which for some reason I'd never done before...) and it works just fine.  Even better sound quality than before.  But since my Husband and I often switch cars, and his doesn't have a USB port...would love to figure out what's going on so I can listen to my iPhone in his car.  Any suggestions on trouble shooting?

iPhone 5 Bluetooth Paring Bug

Today my iPhone 5 stopped paring with my car. I was so annoyed as i can't listen to Music now. I purchased a white iPhone 5 32gb when it first came out on the 21st of September. I noticed that the bluetooth symbol doesnt appear anymore when i come out of the bluetooth settings. I cannot search for anything or be discovered!!! This is so annoying!! I have tried reseting my phone 100 times and updated the  IOS software to 6.1.3 and still no luck. Has anyone been expericing this problem too???!!!

iphone stuck on dock connector mode iPhone 4S

My iphone 4s is stuck on dock connector mode, and I have never used a dock connector accesory.  I have cleaned out the port and occasionally the phone will be on iphone mode like it should be but it always resorts back to dock connector.  I have restarted the phone numerous times, put it on airplane mode for awhile, an nothing works.  The phone rings like normal but I cannot listen to music, and when I turn it on or off it doesn't make the clicking noise, has anyone had this happen or know what the solution is?  Look at the picture below.  When I took this picture the phone was plugged into the charger but even if its not charging it still says dock connector HELP

I am looking to purchase the Nike Fuel Band, but I currently am using a Bluetooth Audio Radio with my iPhone. It is a Pioneer XBH-5500 2013 model that handels my audio and my bluetooth handsfree calling in my car. At the same time, I sometimes use a pair of bluetooth stero over-the-head headset to listen to music.  I am wanting to know if there will be any issue with the performance of the Nike Fuelband tracking my performance, showing me time and/or anything else if I have another device paired with my iPhone 5?

I am running out of usage space. How do I increase the total amount of space I have on my iPhone4S: for things like programs & apps such as, iTunes & more music & like MusicTube & YouTube. The only reason I have any space now is because the music that I had downloaded and synced onto my phone from iTunes I had to take it all off. I would really really love to be able to put my music back onto my iPhone. Currently I'm using apps like Spotify, AOLradio, and MusicTube to listen to music. HiSince I upgraded to the iOS 6.1.3 I am still able to make calls in the car via bluetooth, however I am no longer able to listen to music. Bluetooth is obviously working but the music is no longer being streamed or even detected by the car. It used to work fine before I upgraded. Is there a setting to show new voicemail on my lock screen? If I miss seeing or hearing an incoming message and don't check my voicemail manually, I miss many voicemail messages for long periods of time. Is there a setting that notifies you of a new voicemail on your lockscreen, or at least on your home page of apps?  A notification that stays there till you listen to the actual message?  Steve

iPhone 4 audio behaving like has headphones always plugged in

Hello. I have an iPhone 4. Software version is 4.3.5. I currently have the sound button on. No headphones plugged. When push the sound button up or down, I have on scree the usual volume screen, however, it says ringer (headphones) instead of just ringer. I have no sounds coming from apps (notifications...) and no sound coming from locking (it is set on on the settings). I cannot listen to the iPod music without headphones (no sound comes out of speakers). I only have these sounds when I plug headphones and the sounds come via headphones. Also, if I have the iPod on, with headphones, the iPod does not turn off when I remove headphones. I already switched it off and tried forced reset. Any ideas to solve this, please? Thank you

Allowing all Music and Podcast content iPhone 3G

I subscribe to a podcast that has the "explicit" tag. I was able to listen to it until a couple of days ago.  Looking under my "Restrictions", "Allowed Content" has "Music & Podcasts" set to "Clean" and the option is grayed out; I can't edit it.  Any thoughts on how to allow all conent or what I might be doing wrong?  Thanx for your help and expertise.

How I sync voice memos from an iphone 4s to my PC

i plugged in my phone via usb to my computer and then i authorised the computer for the phoneand now, I want to transfer the voice memos from my phone to my computer so that I can listen to it therehowever whenever i click sync it says that i've synced the phone with another computer and the only way to sync is to erase everything on my phone which obviously defeats the purpose of me transferring my voice memos to my comp. how can i change the settings or whatever to get the memos to my computer and allow me to sync without erasing everything?is there any way without having to download some sketchy app to help me? i just want to change the settings of my phone to sync with this computer and still have my voice memos.  any help would be greatly appreciated

Defective Speaker Module in Iphone 5

I like my Iphone5 but I've already had two of them due to defective speaker modules.  The symptoms are that your external speaker will begin to crackle and fail and you won't be able to hear conversations well or music.  Then, the speaker will just stop working.  You can still listen to music and use your phone using the headphone jack and earphones but there will be no SPEAKER function.  This is a known issue with the Iphone5.  Here is how to remedy it: 1.  Make an appointment on line with your nearest Apple store for the GENIUS BAR.  2.  Bring your receipt when you go and make sure you have backed up your phone to the Icloud or to your home computer BEFORE you go in.3.  Make sure you know your Apple ID and password because you'll need it to log in to your new phone.4.  They will either replace the faulty speaker module with a new and improved version OR they will give you a new phone. I am a Verizon customer so I sent my first phone back to Verizon and they sent me a new (refurbished phone).  It only lasted a month and that speaker gave up the ghost.  I made an appointment with Apple and they diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes.  They were out of stock in Albuquerque of the speaker modules so I got a brand new phone with a new and improved speaker module. If your speaker has stopped working, don't bother with any of these tips and tricks, just go to APPLE and let them figure it out.  They'll stand behind the product and fix it or replace it.  It's not your fault. John in Albuquerque

When I play music or listen to my ringtones, instead of the sound coming out of my loud speaker, it is coming out of the port. Shen I cover the port the sound diminishes to a crackly muffled sound. When I cover the speaker itself, it remains loud.

Downloading podcasts to Podcast directory iPhone 3G

Okay, here's my situation.  I was recently given a iPhone 3GS that I was thinking of using an iPod touch (i.e. no cellular data -- just wifi).  My car, an Audi A6, has iPhone/iPod integration as well as a built-in WiFi hotspot (using a Tmobile SIM built in to the car).  I have a long commute so I listen to a lot of podcasts.  I thought it would be cool if I could subscribe to x number of podcasts and have them automatically download/udate without having to touch the 3GS -- just do all the controlling via the car's interface.  The problem it doesn't seem like podcasts are downloaded to the "Podcast" directory in the phone anymore (thank you iOS 6 and Apple's Podcast app).  Since my car's interface will only stay in the "Music" directory, is there anyway to automatically get podcasts into that directory so I control them using the car's interface?  3rd party app perhaps?  Any suggestions? Thanks!

Audible Audiobook Won t Sync to IPhone From iTunes

I got my first audiobook with the free Audible trial yesterday and after I downloaded it from the Audible website, I was able to open it and listen to it in iTunes on my MacBook. However, when I synced my IPhone to my MacBook, everything but the audiobook got transfered over. The audiobook was categorized under "audiobooks" in iTunes, so I know that the audiobook did not get thrown into a playlist under music in iTunes. I confirmed this after searching through my iTunes library. in itunes, I even made sure to check the box saying "Sync Books", however, I noticed that iTunes did not give me the option of changing the drop down menu specifying what kinds of book would be synced to the iPhone. I attached a print screen of this menu. As you can see, this drop down menu is frozen (light grey) and is restricted to only books and PDFs, which I assume does not include audiobooks. In the end, my Audible mobile app shows that my audiobook has not been put on the iPhone because whenever I press the "Refresh" button, it shows that the iPhone had not yet been downloaded (I couldn't downloaded it through 3G because the audiobook exceeded 50MB). Thank you, and hopefully you can help me figure this issue out.

This has never happened to me before and I have had my iPhone for a couple years now. Just today I bought a couple albums on my mac through iTunes and they downloaded just fine. I have iCloud so they were automatically transferred to my phone. When I go to listen to the songs I found that they won't play. There is a gray box on the far right next to the song title. It won't play and after a little while it just skips to the next song. The weird thing is some songs did download all the way and work just fine. Please help!!!!

battery problem iPhone 5

Since a couple of days I have a massive problem with my iphone 5 battery. The time of usage went down to 3-4 hours without doing anything with the phone. You can listen the downcount of the battery control. WiFi, Bluetooth, hotspot is in off-mode, email push in manual mode, LTE is active. Is it possible that hidden processes are running in the background which have an enormous energy consumption? The backside of the phone is quite warm in recharging-mode of the battery as well as in normal usage mode. I bought the phone in September 2012. Does anybody has an idea?

I did the basic trouble shooting like, -->restoring the phone-->restarting the phone by pressing home button and power button  and I asked siri some questions, Siri recognize my words and processing the data but, i can't hear siri voice.  But, I'm able to attend calls and listen songs when earphones are plugged in.  Please any one help me to solve this issue.

iOS 6 no longer supports voice reminder alert-help iPhone 3G

I rely on reminders - especially VOICE reminders. The app, AidaReminder, used to be able to play my recorded voice reminder even when the phone was locked. I need this capability - because it doesn't work to have to look at my phone. My phone isn't always physically near me or I'm working with something too messy to pick up the phone. Moreover, AidaReminder used to be able to keep alerting me until I turned it off. Now all I get is one alert chime, and I have to physically interact with the phone to know what the reminder is. I checked with other apps and they all have the same problem. On the VoCal app page: "iOS 6 users note: The mode that allows your voice to play as the reminder tone can no longer be supported in iOS 6. VoCal will revert back to alerting you to a reminder to which you then slide to listen to your recording." Why did Apple do this?  Is this something they can fix in an update? Is there a way to let Apple know how HUGE a problem this is?.

iphone 4S-Sound problem

Hi,  Can someone help me please? I've got an iphone 4s and updated it recently with OS6.1. I dont get to hear sounds, like text messeging, Music and others but i can hear it ring if I go to Ringtone and someone calls me, but other that no more, especially in Text tone (when i listen to Textone in Settings and when i recieve text messege NO SOUND), it only vibrates. Though i can hear it sound when I plug in the headphones, the same goes with Music. Ive tried restarting the phone and resetting all settings still its not working.  Please please help. Thank you!

iphone 4S audio issues

Hi i have an iPhone 4S with an itermittant ongoing audio issue. The output sound from anything, ringtones, text tones, games/apps, and youtube etc (you get the gist) goes on and off on a daily basis, making the phone useless. The weird thing is, it does the same with the headphones plugged in, if i have them plugged and listen to youtube, the song/video will play for a few seconds and then audio will cut out. Once its done this, sometimes the video keeps playing in silent or will stop, the volume buttons on the side of the phone just make the speaker appear on the screen but theres no volume bar underneath, the weirdest thing of all is if i unpleg the headphones slightly then plug them back in the sound comes back on for a few seconds (or possibly a minute) before it does it again. What can this be? is it software, hardware or is there some crud touching something, ive cleaned out/blew into the holes etc to try and clear any dust. thanks ive also rebooted the phone several times.

Battery issues with iPhone 5

I use my iPhone 5 in this way:  about 40 minutes talk time, alarm clock, texting fewer than 10 a day, checking weather, downloading a couple of songs per week, and browsing iTunes once weekly.  listen to iPod music about 20 minutes a day.I charge the phone to 100% every other day, but it loses battery power very quickly, even when just sitting.  Location and Bluetooth are off, as is push notification. Is this just a flaw in the phone?

I have been loyal to the iPhone brand since the 3G I have had all phones including the S's. I was disappointed in the screen size this time around though the 5 was elongated. When are iPhone fans getting a 4.8 inch screen? It's a smartphone market Apple we need bigger screens on the go. I'm in IT my Macbook air and iPad are awesome but when I'm outside its my iPhone I'm on using about 2.5 GB of data a month. Please listen to a long time fan Apple.

voice navigation and bluetooth in prius c iPhone 4

I get bluetooth in Prius C but, I loose my voice navigation and the ability to listen to podcasts. What am I doing wrong? Now I tried to fix it and even lost the bluetooth but, I am sure I can fix that though I am having a hard time. What a bother. I drive over 3 hours a day and really need the bluetooth and voice nav on iphone 4 and sure could use listening to podcasts. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've never dropped my phone or gotten it wet or anything. Apple just keeps giving me defective iphones, this will be the 6th time i'll have to drive 2 hours to an apple store just to replace the defective piece of crap they give me each time. Basically the problem is my phone sound shuts on and off by itself. I can't even listen to music or talk to someone on speaker without it cutting in and out. The same thing happens with videos, and app music. The volume bar just dissapears and the sound stops. No i do not dock my iphone on an ihome either. So i know the phone didn't get screwed up in an iphone dock so it thinks its docked permanetly. I've tried restoring it and everything. Someone help!!! - VERY ****** CONSUMER.
