iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of ITunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

iPhone 4SWindows 8 iTunes Sync Problems iPhone 4S

Whenever I try to sync my iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of this iPhone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iPhone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled iTunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? Screen display problems LCD iPhone 5

I bought an iPhone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iPhone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . when I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iPhone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!

The YouTube app on my iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.2, opens and when I search for any videos, the search results also show up just fine. However, when I play a video, the screen goes black and reads playback error!! This is getting on my nerves.... PLEASE HELP!! And please reply with solutions only.

Can t send emails on iPhone 4s. No error messages. App just quits.

Hello, and thank you for reading. I have an iPhone 4s, and my primary email account is Gmail. I can receive emails, but I can't send them. when I try to click on the little pen icon to write an email, the app crashes/quits and I'm sent back to the homescreen. I saw that most people who can't send email receive an error message, but I've never received an error message, the app just stops. I checked in the Settings, and every thing seems to be in order (I'm not extremely tech savvy, so I could be wrong). I started to experience this problem maybe a week ago. Also, my Messages app can be a little sketchy sometimes too. when I'm connected to Wifi and trying to send an iMessage, the message won't send and there will be a little red exclamation point next to the message. My Messages app works sometimes, but do you all think that the problems are linked somehow? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm out of the office a lot, and it's an inconvinecne that I can't send emails while I'm on the road. Whilsy updating my iPhone4 OS,I get an error. Now my phone is is stuck and iTunes keeps asking to do recovery from backup and fails each time I have tried to do this. I tried to update my iPhones IOS and when I did, it said that I needed to restore my iPhone, so I did, or I tried. when I went to restore it, it worked for a little while, then stopped and pulled up a error that says "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, " iPhone " . An unknown network error occurred (9006). I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem, to find no solution. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, turning in off firewalls, virus protectors, etc. I am very desperate to fix this problem because my iphone is a paperweight until this problem is resolved, please help me!

Help with my iPhone 5.

So today I want to restore my iPhone 5 to 6.0. I have tried to do so by getting the firmware of the correct form, (my make of my phone, model number, etc) and for some reason it won't restore. I've tried 2 different ones, 6.0 and 6.1 and to no avail. On iTunes it keeps coming up with 'error 3194' I have researched into this and I have done as instructed on the official Apple error code help page, but still, it doesn't work, can anyone help? A major issue with my Iphone 4. So basicly Itunes won't recgonize the Iphone, I basicly tried everything. I also think the DFU mode doesn't work for me. iphone 5 doesnt accept ID password facetime and imessage not working

Im not sure if its to do with the new update 6.1.4 but my imessage suddenly stopped working. I checked my settings and saw that my email addresses associated with it were deleted. I would do hard resets but it wouldnt solve the problem. Then imessage was only partially working, sending imessages to certain individuals and text messages to the others. when i would try to add my email it would say that my password or ID is incorrect. I was thinking, no this could not be. I signed in and out of Itunes with no problem. I even signed on appleid.com and it worked. I tried it on my ipad which worked. I was scratching my brains. so I had an idea, I proceeded to reset network settings......BIG MISTAKE!!! Now, along with my imessage and facetime problems, I cannot connect to my wifi at home. when I enter the password it says it is incorrect. I have also tried entering the wifi manually but to no avail. I connected my iphone to itunes but it wont back up my data saying an error occured but it doesnt specify the error. Iv also noticed that if i press and hold an app, and it starts shaking, the crosses next to the apps that I hav purchased whether it is free or not does not show the 'x' next to them so I cant manually delete an app. What is going on? Is so frustrating because now I have to rely on my data and its depleting fast. Iv booked an appointment with the Genius bar for next week but I am hoping I can sort this out before hand. My first iphone and I was enjoying it up to now, not happy at all!

I have had about 34 notes on the Notes application. Now they are gone. I just backed up the phone from the latest data on the computer and when I checked the Iphone,the data was there in Notes. Hello there! i'm just wondering will my iphone 4s will get fixed? cause ive been to a stores lately and they tried to fix my iphone and it get error and error all over again 1611 and -21 They tried replacing the battery but nothing happens still on error and they said it's a hardware problem, i tried different fixers already like 3 stores here in philippines, but the last they said it's 50/50 and the hardest thing that ever happend to an iphone, i think they replaced the main memory of the iphone and still doesn't work. they said id just sell the phone to them like 500 pesos. can any one help me? suggestion? - i bought the phone on 2nd hand store in philippines at greenhills, i only used it for 1 month. and i notice when i turn it off, and turn it on the apple logo just light up and past and then apple logo again, then some times there was a blue words on the upper part like an error or something, and then the last time i restarted it, it never goes on. just the apple logo blinking.

I received an unlocked iPhone 4s as a christmas gift from the US. (I live in the Philippines.) when I got it it was still in its original plastic and sealed. I have recently had trouble with it  (Updated ios, got the battery glitch, did the forum repairs, got the recovery mode errors, did the Apple Support KB tips, got error 40 and 1601, now just want to wipe the phone completely.) and am trying to see if a repair is possible. 1) Philippine service centers won't touch it, because it is not an "in-country" purchased phone, and is out of warranty. That's fine, I get that.2) when going to the self-help site, there is an "IMEI checker" when trying to submit a ticket. I punched in the IMEI found on the outside of the box, and it shows that the phone has been replaced.3) It's never been replaced. Ever. I had never even brought it in for repair in any store, in any country, until yesterday, to an accredited shop. My questions are:1) Is it possible that this is an error?2) What possible recourses are there for me for repair? I'd like to avoid sending the brick back to the States and then pay a kidney for a repair/replace. (Might as well get another phone!)

Hey gang.  Having an issue.  Maybe someone can help me.  Did a backup of my son's iphone 8GB with iTunes.  I have read I can read the msgs with SMS and this program, MesaSQLite.  I cannot find the .mddata file on my Macbook anywhere.  Says it should be in ~/Library/application Support/MobileSync/Backup.  I don't have this directory.  Mine is ~Library/application Support/Mobile Support.  But, nothing there. Any suggestions? Thanks, Hugh

cannot send pictures via mms iPhone

I have a brand new iPhone 5 and have been able to send text messages with pictures until yesterday. Now, it attempts to send and gets almost done and the red exclamation point appears and it gives an error message "not delivered." I have reset the phone, I have my settings all correct (nothing has changed since yesterday when they were sending correctly.) I also cannot recieve text messages that contain pictures. Help!
