iPhone 4 completely dead-help

Hi, Last night my iPhone4 just stopped working. I'd experianced no previous problems with my phone.  I'd just sent a text and put the phone down. When I picked it up, a couple of minutes later, it appeared to be completely dead ? First of all I assumed the battery must be flat so I plugged it in to my laptop to charge it. Strangely, there was no chirp noise and the phone appeared not to be charging. I tried a different charger - still no response. Plugged back into my laptop and opened itunes - phone did not appear as a device. Its just completely dead ? Is there anything I can do to try and re-activate it ? Can I take it to apple to get it repaired if it is broken (I don't have any insurance on my contract, so that option is not open to me) ? Any advice much appreciated ?

Why won't all photos from iPhoto sync onto my iPhone 5

I am trying to put all the photos from iPhoto on my Mac onto my iPhone 5. Through itunes, I select sync photos with iPhoto, then sync all photos, albums, events and faces. There are 285 photos in my iPhoto library and I would like to sync them all, but after the sync when I look at the photos on my phone, only 187 synced. What am I doing wrong?

My iPhone is not being detected by my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 3 times to no avail. This occurred during a restore in which the computer lost connection to the phone and left it in DFU mode. Please help. I also must add that my lock button is broken as well.

So my Iphone 4s has been having problems with the no service error now and again so I decided to reset the network settings to try and fix it. Now since this reset,my iphone refuses to connect to wifi even though the password I'm entering is 100% correct!  I keep getting the 'Incorrect password error'. I've resetted the router and reset the wifi network, rebooted my phone,performed a hard reset but there is still no fix  I have many other devices connected to my wifi without any problems. 3 computers, an ipad, android tablet and other iphone. My phone is jailbroken on 6.1.2 so I don't want to have to restore my phone. My phone will connect to wifi with wifiFoFum but as soon as my phone goes to sleep it disconnects so its rather annoying! I hope you can help

When my wifi is off, everything works fine. My internet, all my apps, everything will load. When I turn on my wifi, that all goes downhill. my internet wont load, none of my apps that require internet are playable, nothing works. I have tried resetting my phone and restoring it, My boyfriends phone, which is exactly like mine, uses my wifi just fine without a problem. What should I do to fix this? I cant go to an Apple Store, I would have to take a 5 hour plane ride to get to the nearest one.

iPhone 4 wont respond blank screen.

I have allready tried holding the home and power butten, and charging. The battery is allready on atleast 80% It just has a blank screen. Its an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3. What max bit depth and sample rate for audio playback on iPhone 5

I'm curious to know what the max bit depth and sample rate are for my iPhone5?itunes appears to supprt 24 bit AIFF and Apple Lossless, and I have been successful in loading 24 bit ALAC files to my iPhone.... but I was not sure if those files are getting downsampled before playback? Thanks in advance for your help.

Please Help-How I Permanently Save iPhone Messages to Mac

Hello,      I currently have an iPhone 4s 16 GB and am quickly running out of storage space.  I only have about 700 MB of space remaining and my "Other" category is taking up 6.27 GB of space!  I believe that most of this is because of my text messages; I have never deleted any of them and I'm in a group message that easily accumulates over 150 texts per day, so I need space, and fast!!!  I have read about several programs and am definitely willing to buy one, but I would like first-hand information about these programs.  I'm looking for a program that will save my SMS, MMS, and iMessage text messages to my MackBook so that I can delete them from my iPhone.  I would need a program that will save the messages permanently.  I want to be able to save the messages to the program, delete them from my phone, connect my phone to the program at later dates and save additional messages, and not lose any messages at all.  I don't want an app that I can only save messages to once because if I try to save more, it gets rid of the old ones and only saves the new ones.  I'm not sure how any of the programs work as far as that goes, so if anyone could reccommend a program to me that would do what I'm looking for, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thank you in advance for the help!!!

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it.  I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already. P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iPhone 5 and it says 'iPhone disabled please connect to itunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have itunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded itunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.Is there any way I can get my photos back?Can Apple get them back for me?Please help  

Really hot iPhone iPhone 5

I just bought an iPhone 5 this past Friday for my first smartphone with Verizon, and I have been pretty happy with it so far, though I haven't been using it too heavily. Today, I had it with me all day long, and it seemed like the more I used it, it got pretty hot. Even hot to the point where I couldn't hold it in my hand in an air conditioned room. When this started to happen, I noticed a small spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen that turned yellow, almost like a sunspot. Seeing that, I turned it off for a bit, then turned it back on, and it was still there. I then didn't touch it for awhile, let it cool down, and when it did, the spot disappeared.  So I brought it back to vErizon where i brought it, and by that time it colled off and the spot gone, so they couldn't help me, but they did say to bring it to the Apple store and they can plug it in to see how hot it has been in the past. Is there any way that I can look at this myself rather than driving the distance to go to one, because there's not one incredibly close to me. Also, has anyone heard about this spot before?  I'm worried about the heat output of these thigns because when my Otterbox comes in the mail, i'm worried about that heating up then shutting itself down, because my ipod does that from time to time in it's Defender. Thoughts? Thanks

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of itunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

I bought it in January. I just can't believe that my iPhone wil not synchronize with my itunes anymore. And every time the battery gets low, i will have to turn it off and wait it to be full charged, so i can start to use again. Does anyone here had the same problem??

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4, I recently went on vacation overseas and was using a gsm sim from that country, naturally the iMessage and all werent working but I figured it was because I was out of the US. Since I've gotten back, and started using my old sim, my iMessage, iCloud, Facetime, and MMS messaging aren't working. It wont even allow me to activate, the buttons are gray, it's locked or something. And its not a network problem because my sim is working fine, internet, apps everything. Except for iMessage, iCloud..etc. Can anyone help?

My friend is on a class trip to Germany. He has been texting me on his ipod, through wifi, with a texting app called text free. I have an iPhone with unlimited texting. We have not been texting through iMessage, just SMS, but he is sending them from his ipod. Will I be charged gobs of money for "international texting" or is it part of my data plan since he is using wifi? HELP!

This whole problem started when I first got my Iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new Iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! This problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a Iphone 4s btw. With my old Iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! This is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

Iphone 5 searching

My iphone 5 has continually been "searching" for two days.  I had the sim card swapped twice yesterday and nothing has changed. What could be wrong and what is my next step? More info: I have reset network setting, reset my entire phone as well. It will not allow me to even go through the process of setting up the phone so I'm stuck at the beginning screen. I've tried to set it up through wifi and through itunes with no luck. Before I reset it, it wouldn't allow me to update once the searching problem began.

Wifi connection problems with iPhone 5

The problem I am having is that my iPhone 5 will connect to my wifi at home but won't connect to my wifi at work. Everyone else can connect at work with no problem with their iPhone 4,4s,android phones and iPads.The network I am trying to connect to is a secret network that I have to manually search for it and input a password. I don't have trouble finding the network the issues I'm having is whenever I put the password in it will say wrong password 10times in a row then it might connect for about 10min then it will disconnect itself and when I try to connect again it will either say wrong password or unable to connect to wifi!!!!! Please help I need wifi at work since I am there more than I'm home.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

My iphone stops syncing at steps 3 of 6

Apple recently replaced my broken iPhone 4s with a new one. Everything was great, the backup on my computer worked and I had all mystuff from the day before it was replaced. However, when i plugged it in to add a few new songs, they didn't sync. In fact, my itunes never finshes a sync anymore, it just stops here for no reason. Any suggestions?

Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iPhone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to itunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iPhone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. My Power button stuckbroken and iphone 4s wont start after reset

I reset my iphone on reset all settings and media and it just goes to the apple logo and then the buffering circle. Is there any other way than holding the home button and power button since my power buttons broken? Please and thanks.

iPhone 4SWindows 8 itunes Sync Problems iPhone 4S

Whenever I try to sync my iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "itunes cannot read the contents of this iPhone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iPhone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled itunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? Over the last 4 months or so, my iPhone4's download rate has progressivly slowed. WiFi is still working fine, but cellular data was noticably lagging with missed texts, slow applications, and generally slow browsing. Since then I have switched carriers twice thinking it was a problem with cellular service provider, but to no avail. This last week I have had no ability to connect to my service provider's data network, evident because that little '3G' icon at the top no longer appears in any part of the city I visit. I removed the protective case around the iPhone thinking it could be an antennae issue, but no, still not working. Paranoid, I even checked to see that cellular 3G is turned on in the device settings; it is, and I felt stupid for even doubting that it wasnt.  Is it normal for a cellular phone's hardware to degrade? Could there be an enviornmental factor i'm not seeing?

Will apple replace my iphone 5

Hi all My iphone 5's home button will only work when pressed at one side if you press it at the right hand side it wont work at all and some times it doesnt work at all. I have booked a genius appointment but i switched back to my old 4s because i didnt want to use the phone until this was fixed so i had to get my nano sim changed back to a micro sim,  Will apple still replace the phone even though i dont have my sim to pop in it ? thanks
