MobileVOIP skype not work after 6.1.4 iPhone 5

Hi, I have an iPhone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto

Battery not charging iPhone 5

The iPhone5 is less than 6 months old. After I downloaded some photos to my computer through the USB, I then needed to recharge my iPhone5. So, I removed the cord from the USB port plugged it into the adapter and then plugged into a wall receptacle. After more than 8 hours it has not charged. The symbol shows it is charged but the battery icon shows only 29% and it continues to decline when used. Any ideas on what to do other than taking it to the store. Thank you for any assistance

VZW iPhone 5 will not pick up LTE when s removed and put into Galaxy Nexus then back into iPhone 5

I have a VZW iPhone 5 activated as my main phone, I also have a VZW Samsung Galaxy Nexus that I use a sim adapter and swap the sim to. When I swap the sim from the iPhone 5 to the Galaxy Nexus for a day or so then back to the iPhone 5, I cant pickup LTE signal, it just stay at 3G. Although if I put the sim back in the Galaxy Nexus it still picks up LTE. The only way i can get the LTE back on my iPhone 5 is by going into VZW and getting a new sim card activated, in return kills my old sim card. Any ideas or help?? I accidentally deleted my iTunes library. How I transfer contents of iPhone to new iTunes library

Okay. So this was what happened: I was updating my iTunes library to the latest version. All of a sudden, my netbook crashed and eventually was hanging. So I removed the battery and restarted my netbook. I later found out, my iTunes got deleted. I didnt panic at first since I deliberately deleted my iTunes before and reinstalled it again finding all my files back in the iTunes. But this time, when I reinstalled it, all my files were gone! With this situation, can I transfer all my current files from my iPhone to my new iTunes library? I don't mind losing my music but I just want to safely sync my iPhone to this new iTunes library without erasing my current apps and photos. Hope you guys can help me!

there is not another solution. If the phone shows offline, then the battery has died, someone picked it up and turned it off, or removed the SIM, or has restored the device. Also, if you contact your carrier and have them suspend the service, that will render Find My iPhone useless.

Itunes copied all contents of old iphone to new one. Hello, I have previously used Shoutcast radio player on Android and I liked the fact that it showed the name of the song playing.  I downloaded Shoutcast for my Iphone and that feature has been removed it seems.  So my question is this:  Is there a preferabley free music app that will allow me to search for my genre of music and play that station and list names of songs? My generes of music are Metallica Stations and Soundtrack Stations.  That's what I like to listen to mostly. So is there any app out there or am I stuck with Shoutcast until they update the app?   Thank you for your assistance

new iPhone lost all my apps

I bought a new iphone 5 as my 4S unfortunately was damaged beyond repair. I then used iCloud to reconfigure my new phone. All my old apps initially appears on the phone but then procedded to update and be removed from the phone. When I go to the app store to try and download previously purchased apps, it states that they have all been downloaded. If I do download a free one again manually onto the phone, the phone has remembered where it was located and even creates a new folder with the same individualised name that I had on my old phone.How do I recover all these apps without having to pay for them again and download them individually?Thanks

I have 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora icon on screen. I was told to connect my iphone 5 with USB port and worked. But as soon as I disconnected Pandora went out on screen. Only works plugged in now. Should work without USB connected.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my Samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car.  How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving!  And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! iTunes Movie Trailers App won t show Arclight Cinemas iPhone 3G

Hey, For some reason when I opened my iTunes Movie Trailers App today, none of the Arclight Cinemas in LA are listed (they used to be).  They're not on the theatre map and none of the showtimes appear.  Did something happen?  Is this just a short term glitch (i.e. they forgot to report their showtimes)?  did Arclight purposely request to be removed from the app?  Or is the app just being stupid? Is anyone else noticing this issue?   I also checked the website, http://trailers.apple.com, and they aren't listed on there either, so I'm wondering if it's a company policy thing...   P.S. I wanted to list this under a "iTunes Movie Trailers App" location but couldn't find any such thing in the support communities.  Did I miss it?

No buttons at bottom of email screen after IOS 6.1.3 upgrade on iphone 4.

I have an iphone 4 with AT&T as my cellphone provider. After upgrading to IOS 6.1.3 build version 10B329, I noticed that there are no buttons at the bottom of my email screen (ie. Delete, Forward, Reply, etc). I can't do any of these functions. I'm using Yahoo email. I have tried to removed and re-installed email on the phone and still no buttons.Help!

Hey can anyone help at all, i got my iphone in october. ever since december i have been having issues with it, it began by turning itself on and off, it then began saying it needed restored. i restored it, it worked fine for a while but constantly had to be connected to my laptop in order to stay on, i noticed once i removed it from my laptop it would power off and say it needed charged again? a symbol then appeared saying to connect to itunes to restore it, so i did. it would not restore succesfully.  now i find that my iphone will not turn on at all or show that it is charging i tested two chargers, none of which work,  should i send it off to apple? will they charge for a replacement

Good video player for iPhone 5

So, iPhone 5 is in da house. However, my go-to video player - AVPlayer - does *not* fill the entire screen of the iPhone 5, and since it seems to have been removed from the App store, there is no hope it will be updated. Today I downloaded PlayerX, but while this app offers both Wifi transfer of videos and fills the entire screen of the iPhone 5, it treats some of the 720p horribly (pixelates the video in a very noticeable manner). Does anyone have any suggestions for a good iPhone 5 video player, that also handles "all" formats (mkv, mp4, divx etc.) without conversion? Wifi transfer of videos would be nice, but I'll take that as a bonus if the player itself is good.

Update 6.1.3 Unable to Restore iP5 iPhone 5

First synce after coming home, I received the "New Update" notice for ios 6.1.3, and procedded as usual.  After about 10 min received error 1603 "ips could not be updated, an unknown error occurred (1603).  Phone was in recovery mode.  Shut down itunes, and removed the phone.  When I connect the phone this morning, itunes recognized the phone being in the recovery mode, and the only way to proceed was to restore to factory default settings.  I procedded, only to get error -1 after about 2 minutes!  How to proceed without losing everything.  I assume when I first connected the phone yesterday the synce did the backup, but not sure.

Suddenly can't sync songs from iTunes to iPhone other help topics suggestions not helping me

Everytime I try to sync any of my songs onto my iPhone 4, I get an error message that says: "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "(song name)", were not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because they could not be found." and then it stops syncing. It says there are 13 problems. Then when you expand to see the files, each one says: "(song name)"" was not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because it could not be found." It can be any song, an old song from 7 years ago that I got off Limewire, or a song from a CD, or it can be a song I paid for from the iTunes store. Doesn't matter. Couple weeks ago, I had no problems. Purchased new songs and had them in playlists on my phone. Then a couple days ago, I plugged my iPhone into the computer (to charge it), and suddenly my songs were removed off the iPhone. So I tried to put them back on, kept getting this error. So I googled it. I have spent the past 4 days TRYING to get things to work. I have looked through all the other similar questions, and tried suggestions on there. Nothing is working. - there is no exclamation point beside any of my music.- I have not changed the hard drives (I don't use my computer daily, probably once a week), (Windows is up to date also).- I have tried re-adding the songs to the library.- Everything still plays in iTunes.- If I click on the file in its location, it will open it and play it in iTunes. - I tried deauthorizing my account then reauthorizing it, didnt work.- I have even removed all my music off my phone to see if that works, now I have 15 songs on it. I did find it odd that when I looked in my purchased playlist, they were not there, but they are on the computer and on the purchased list (under the iTunes store on the side menu). At least I can use my iPod for when I'm in the car, but now I have to carry that around too, I'm getting quite frustrated. Normally I'm quite computer savvy, but I'm totally stuck on this one. And like most people, I rely on my iPhone WAY to much and let the little things affect my daily life. I hope SOMEONE can please help me?!? (I don't know if it may even have to do with the fact that yesterday I finally got my iPhone updated to the latest IOS, (cuz I was finally able to download the update from iTunes... Unless that was a separate update) the one where it's like "do you want to cancel, download only, download and install").

3g data connection on iPhone 4s inconsistent

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari.  Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text.  Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result.  Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem.  Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset.  I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?

iPhone 5 wet works after drying for 10 days-screen still dark not black backlight

Hello...I hope someone out there can help. I am very un-technical, and I'm afraid to ask my husband, who isn't, for help until I have exhausted other possibilities. I was browsing the internet on my new iphone5 when it slipped headfirst into the lukewarm, half-empty cup of black tea on my lap. So it was partially submerged in tea for about 1 second. I yanked it out, dried it off, shook it out, then not knowing what else to do at 4 AM, grabbed the hair dryer and very gently and very briefly blew air towards the top openings (speaker and pone jack).  The phone had worked for a few seconds after I retrieved it, but I didn't know to be sure it was turned off...i just assumed (I know, I know) it was turned off since the screen was totally black. About ten minutes later, when my previously out-of-battery ipad was charged enough for me to look up "wet iPhone" I put the phone into a bag of rice and kept searching for help online. About 30 mins later I had the SIM card removed and put the phone back into the rice. Left it in rice for 1 full day, then when when I could finally get to a store, I put it in between two "damp-rid" type packets inside a lunchbox on top of my water heater where it is warm. I left it alone for four or five days, then tried turning it on. nothing. Then I put the sim card in, and felt the little vibration of a phone powering on!! Screen was almost completely dark, so I returned it to the damp rid coffin it into the damp rid container for Another few days. Ans so, the exciting conclusion: Just now, I connected it to iTunes and could see very faintly enough to use the touchscreen. Reinstalled  everything, and made a call to my husband so he won't wonder why I haven't called him from my iPhone for ten days. Everything else seems to work but I want to know if I can fix the screen in any way. there are no apple stores in Germany yet and I don't want to buy a replacement phone. Techie: Can and/orShould I take it apart and look for corrosion? i have read some DIY tips for older phones on other forums but not for iphone 5. Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks for reading.

problem with battery life on 6.2.1 iPhone 5

Since the update for IOS 6.2.1 about 4 days ago, I have noticed deteriorated battery life from the prior version.  As a workaround I have tried to reset my phone and reset all email information as recommended.  Updated settings to prevent push notifications, removed notifications and many other functions that were not causing me problems before, but to no avail.   Within 15 minutes of my phone being disconnected from the charger, the battery life decreases by 5-7% with the phone idle (Screen off). Has anyone else encountered this and have you been able to correct the issue?Thank you!

How to Delete Messages in Spotlight Search History without Resetting or Syncing iPhone 5

I know there are a lot of individuals dealing with this issue and if you are like me you spend hours searching "how to delete messages in spotlight search history" and it seems like every post either says to reset your phone or sync it! I'm sorry but I did not want to go through the hassle of resetting my phone but I did try to sync it which did nothing so I decided to just mess around with my settings and I believe to have found the answer to everyone's question!!  This worked for me so I really hope this works for you! Just follow the steps below:  1. Go to <settings><general><spotlight search><uncheck messages> 2. Then turn your phone off and wait a minute! Turn your phone back on and off again 2 or 3 more times while waiting a minute in between turning it off! 3. After you are done doing that go back to step 1 and <check messages>! 4. Now go to your spotlight search and those messages should be deleted! If they are deleted I would recommend going back to step 1 and <uncheck messages> so you do not have the same problem with messages showing up again in the spotlight search! It works for Mail too! Just follow the same steps listed above but uncheck mail instead of messages or do both at the same time!!*Here is an extra tip which will remove deleted Mail Messages, just follow the steps below:1. Go to <settings><mail, contacts, calendars><your mail account> scroll down and click <advanced> Now click <remove> under the title Deleted Messages and you can choose to have your mail removed After One Day, After One Week, After One Month or Never.  I hope this post was detailed enough and easy to understand!I really hope it works for you like it did for me! Old podcasts not getting deleted iPhone 3G

Why is it on all my iOS devices when ising the Podcast APP I chose in the setting to keep only unlistened podcasts but what happens is they remain on my device but only get removed from the unplayed list in the Podcast APP itself. You can plainly see how much content is stored on the device when I connect to itunes it shows that I have hardly any space left. Also when I connect via USB to my car  the radio displays that I have 343 songs on the device when I actually have only about 30 songs and the rest are old podcasts left hidden by the Podcast App that should have been deleted. Please make a fix available in the next update...

Repeated iPhone too hot messages

A fairly new iPhone 4 found its way into the washing machine. Sad but true. I let it sit all night turned off and the next day removed the back cover. I not only let it sit open but used a hair dryer to help speed the drying process. Now the phone turns on but I always get the "iPhone too hot" message. It is definitely not too hot but it insists on giving me this message. Do you think this is a sign that the phone is toast or is there a way to reset this warning? When connected to iTunes it wants to register the phone (other signs seems to indicate that it knows what phone it is - number, photos, etc) but dissapears from iTunes before I can get it registered due to the too hot message. Any suggestions would be welcomed and thanks.

Music not syncing via PC after IOS 6.1 update iPhone 4S

Hey guys, is anybody else having issues syncing music via Itunes on a PC to your Iphone since the IOS 6.1 update. I have an Iphone 4s. After updating my Iphone via PC, all of my music (some 5100 songs) were removed. I checked the settings in Itunes, making sure that SYNC entire library was selected. I also made sure that my Iphone settings were set to sync via PC. It would show that it was going to resync my music, but then finish the sync without adding any music back to my Iphone. I can upload music via the cloud, including albums I burned to Itunes via CDs, but honestly I don't want to have to manually redownload every single album I have. Any ideas?

Trying to reduce 'other' on i phone, have deleted all music files as suggested, but it shows I have 25 songs on i phone in i tunes, but nothing is on the i phone to delete' This problem is causing me hot sweats and high blood pressure - nothing works on my i phone 4s anymore, useless piece of kit. 'phone is 3 months' old, previoud 3s was great,  Have all the latest updates, have tried diskAid to remove '4 gb' of Other, followed their instructions to the letter, but 'other' keeps on increasing and I have NO music on my phone. Bottom of i tunes shows a small amount of 'blue' which when hovered over, says 25 songs!   Music is empty on my i phone!! Also getting 'storage almost full' every day I turn on i phone. I have spent the whole month of January trying to get my Google Calendars to display after recent update removed them. Month previously, trying to get all my original Contacts when upgrated to 4s. Oh, and yes, made a 'phone call!!!!

Need to remove Malware or Trojan from iPhone 4

Hi there, I've noticed when surfing using Safari on my iPhone 4 the URL/Page jumps to an unwanted URL, usually a site offering video services, medial treatments or cut price electricals! I'm sure you can use your imagination.  I'm pretty sure the malware was distributed via a shared folder/file in dropbox. I've removed the offending file/folder however I am still getting the issue with Safari. well anywhere i go , i mean anywhere i go my iphone doesnt find any wifi networks at all , even in my own house. its not my router because everything else is connected to it and works fine but ! one day i went next to my router and my phone actually found my house network ! but i moved to the next room or even 5 feet away and its gone. how do i fix this ? i reset network settings, i did everything possible . i recently got the color of my iphone changed, but i dont think it can be anything inside, well can it? i really dont know where to go from here , if anyone can help PLEASE write back ! or skype me - JMS , thanks

iPhone battery drain iPhone 4S

I recently purchased an iPhone 4s when it was running iOS 5.1.1. I eagerly updated to iOS 6 as soon as it was available. I had been seeing slightly less-than-optimal battery life of 5.1.1, but iOS 6 delivered simply terrible battery life. I have scoured through many forums and found nothing that worked. I have even tried restoring as a new phone, but with no results. Before I go ahead and make a Genius Bar appointment, is there anything I can do to fix this? I have reset all settings, turned off bluetooth, turned off push mail and notifications and location for unnecessary things, including system services, disabled Siri, turned down brighness, gone through charge cycles, done hard reboots, and removed unnecessary syncing services. Yet my battery still fails to deliver. Can anyone recommend anything else to try?  As a reference, I get about 5-6 hours of light usage (checking email, checking news briefly, maybe watching a few YouTube videos) with 10-12 hours of standby on a good day. there have been days where I got up to 8 hours on very restricted usage. On bad days, when I throw in 15-20 minutes of games and more heavy video, I get 4 hours of usage maximum. I got far more than this on my iPod Touch 4G running iOS 5.1.1, so I was rather startled by this performance. If this is normal, and the iPhone battery in general isn't too good, please let me know. However, I have a strong feeling that this is unusual. If no solution presents itself, I will be going to see the Genius Bar.

Only half of install button visible in app store for two apps iPhone 3G

Only for 2 apps that may have been removed accidentaly (by my son) the install button in the app store is only partly visible, grey, and does not respond to clicking.Hard reset didn't help. Just before this happened i updated from ios5 to 6.Please advise how to get these apps back.

Video call on skype App iPhone 3G

Even when I know that one of my online contacts has video capability, I cannot make a video call using the skype app on my iPhone5. I do not have the same problem when I use skype on my Windows laptop. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

iPhone s proximity sensor stopped working.

Hi,  I've now read quite a lot of the other discussions on this so I've literally tried everything. Mine stopped working about two days ago (It had been working fine the past 2 and a bit years) - it's just pretty annoying really (the face dialing etc).  What I've tried Reset settingsReset to factory settingssoft reboot removed case removed screen protector  Phone hasn't been dropped , immersed in water , lcd replaced etc etc Anyone have any ideas?  P.S I can't take it in to an Apple retail store as at the moment I'm currently in New Zealand where they have no stores. Thanks!.

iPhone 5 Internet not working

My iPhone5 internet has stopped working. I've tried turning off wifi and going to LTE twice... neither work. Tried safari (page won't load), mail (email won't download, skype (everyone offlien), and other apps. Nothing.  I've tried normal shut down and rebotted twice.  My home computer internet is working fine.  What could it be?
