I have had problem with my iphone 5. It have been switching off with out any notice. Today we could not turn it on again. We only got the apple sign. After awhile we got an error message and the screen turned red, all red! What should we do?

Why appstore app switching to first page all time iphone 3G

I noticed a long time ago that when you search in appstore app, if you download app and go to homescreen and try the app, and then go back to app store app, it switches from like 50th app to first all the time. Imagine there are 400 pages, and every time trying to get to 200th page. it's just terrible. Why does apple do that?

So many problems with my iphone 5

I bought my i phone 5 in US and took it back home (outside India). My i phone gets too hot while speaking and some times when kept idle. Further, while charging the phone, the i phone body shoots electric currant. Third, despite switching off location services and using minimal apps, my phone battery gets drained in less then 3 hours. Fourth, when i make or receive a call, the other side cant hear me for a couple of initial seconds. Then it works. Its not even 4 months since i bought my i phone.   I dont know if my i phone has international warranty. I phone folks back home dont seem to have any clue. Please help.  Also, is it possible for apple US to instruct apple India to replace my phone.  this is really upsetting after spending so much.

I am unable to delete app from iphone 5 suggestions.

If I try delete app then they all shake as we know but cannot delete. The USB DISK PRO app is blank when opened and no response. All other apps still work though. It was suggested that the app mentioned was a "jailbreak" well I don't know what that means but I am sure that is not applicable.  I have Tried to 1. Reboot phone2. Problem with camera-focus stuck on bottom iphone 4S

HelloSince last week my camera can't focus correctly for some reason. It's always stuck on the bottom part (and on the side in landscape mode).When I tap other parts of the screen it seems to adjust but just goes back to focusing the bottom. I tried a long tap that stops the autofocus-doesn't work.Running iOS 6.1 on 4S.Any suggestions for a solution?  Thank you!

I'm heading from the US to Spain for a bit and would like to use my old AT&T 3G (GSM) iphone 4. I don't anticipate being gone more then 4 weeks. I'd like to use my current App suite and iTune collection while there, and once I return I'll continue with AT&T. AT&T provides service in the EU but at a premium  but is it worth swapping out the SIM for a local provider? Is 3G still supported in the EU? Has anyone had issues switching back and forth? Any opinion on what the costs might be for a local spanish pre-paid or short term contract SIM?Thanks for any comments.

Hey,my iphone 4s battery has been switching itself off when the battery reaches 9%. it has been doing this for abouut two/three weeks, (of which time ive downloaded several apps, and have limited memory space left, dunno if that has any relation) but recently it has been dying at 11% and 17%. I've restored my iphone back to factory settings and restoring the back up but the problem still persists. Any feedback will be thankful for.

6.1.2-switching from LTE to 4G randomly iphone 5

I have 6.1.2 installed on my iphone 5.  Basically here's whats going on. -LTE will randomly turn off and 4G will be enabled.  Even when you go to Cellular, LTE is switched on... but it's not on.   -Wifi is a disaster for me.  The signal drops in the same room as the router. I don't know how to explain the problem other than a CRAZY WEAK WIFI signal.  I don't really know what to do about this.  I've literally had 6 iphone replacements with 6 different issues that came with them.  They refuse to exchange anymore.  I don't recall this wifi being an issue on any of them prior to this one.  I'm hoping it's not hardware but, signs are pointing toward it being so.   -Battery seems better than in September when it would just die in standby.   While, I appreciate some things being fixed, I don't appreciate a company who basically gets fed up with helping somebody with their purchase.  Why did I have to get 6 iphone replacements?? Oh, that's right - because they are making these phones like garbage!  Scratches, Buttons improprly built that cause malfunction, wifi problems, camera problems, BAD BATTERIES.  But when it's all said and done, they refused to just keep on exchanging until I got what I paid for.  I think that's crazy.  The fact that I was loyal enough to say, Okay, let's try it again - instead of saying THIS IS PEICE OF GARBAGE PRODUCT (Which, i'm sorry, it is) speaks levels of my loyality.  I was dismissed from their care and I think that's ridiculous!  Sept 21st purchase, it's now Feb 23.  I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN WHAT I PAID FOR! Thats the truth.

Hi everyone, I did the unthinkable and dropped my new iphone 5. Now the screen slowly comes up with verticle green lines. If I'm quick enough, I can get an app to open, otherwise, it is unusable. Though siri still works. I still have my original iphone 3Gs. It still works fine, also is AT&T. Is it possible to re-activate the old phone again? If possible, do I erase the iphone 5 and then just hook up the 3Gs to iTunes? Thanks for any help. mhh p.s. GET INSURANCE OR LEARN THE HARDWAY LIKE ME

I have tried everything.. I am at wits end... I upgraded my Ipad 2 and the front camera stopped working last year... nothing solved there.. I upgraded my iphone 4s and the Wifi has stopped working... no solutions there either.... I am thinking I might have better luck switching to another phone and tablet company as this truly is dissapointing.

Hello out there, bought my iphone in singapore, but using it in indonesia.The phone is now dead, went back to singapore (@starhub) to ask for a replacement (they decline since i don't have a receipt). I tried taking it to the local service centre here, but they can't help me. Anyone can give me a suggestion on what to do? hi everyone i recently installed ios 6.1 on my iphone 4 and now my phone does not vibrate at all.. alarms, phone calls, messages, and even switching to silent doesnt vibrate. ive checked my settings and vibrate is enabled. if i go into vibrate settings for a call and try to change the vibration pattern no vibration occurs even then.does anyone have some suggestions for this issue?

My iphone 5 will not connect to certain wifi networks

My iphone 5 will not connect to certain wifi networks, while connecting to other ones just fine.  When trying to connect to some password encrypted networks, I don't even get a chance to type in a password, just the message, "Unable to join the network _________"  I've tried restarting the router, doing a hard shutdown on the iphone, nothing works.  I don't think it's the routers, i think the iphone is having trouble switching back and forth between WEP and WAP2 or WAP routers.  How do you fix this?

CAN'T UPDATE APPS ON iphone 5 iphone 4S

This started happening about a week ago.Can't seem to update my apps. I have the iphone 5 64 GB and it's running on the latest iOS (6.1). When I go to the App Store, I can access all the icons on the bottom row (featured, top categories, etc), except for the UPDATES icon that just stays blank, but it currently shows that I have 12 apps that need updating I've tried resetting the phone, updating my iTunes, switching it off and on again, rebooted it, to no avail. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please tell me.

iphone 5 displays silent mode and vibrates without moving switch

I purchased a 32gb iphone 5 - Black+Slate, Verizon from the Apple Store last Sunday.  I am running iOS 6.0.1.  Since then, it has been vibrating in my pocket without any apparent cause.  This occassionally happens when I apply pressure to the upper left corner of the phone, and it has also happened while I have had the phone unlocked as well, displaying the silent mode symbol and vibrating.  I'm beginning to suspect that this is a hardware defect with either the vibrating motor or the silent switch, and want to know if anybody can confirm that this is a known defect or issue.  I am concerned that if I don't address it, I won't be eligible for a replacement phone.  This issue does not concern my ability to determine if the phone is set to silent mode or not, nor my vibrate settings.  This is a vibration that occurs randomly, and transiently.  I have also tried a hard reset, switching from silent to normal mode, and restoring the phone. Should I just have it replaced?

To use the sim in the iphone,I'm aware that I will have to cut the sim to size. ( which is not a problem.)However, from what I have read, it will work but I will have to ring my carriers customer services to tell them I am switching. SMS messages on iphone 5 will not open

the phone will not open messages app. Goes straight to a blank blue/grey screen and nothing happens. have tried switching it off, then on. made sure the charge is full etc. The only thing I haven't done is d/loaded the latest update, which I do intend to do next.

OK; purchased an iphone 5 64GB at end of October and battery was fine. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 a week later and battery life is now terrible, lasting barely half a day with minimal usage. Know all about switching items off, apps, etc. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 on my iPad 2 at the same time, and exactly same issue on overheating and poor battery life has occurred.You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what the cause is.What is Apple doing about it?If IOS 6.1 does not fix it then the only thing I can do is change to Samsung tablet and phone - a silent protest but will hurt Apple financially.I can't believe they're not monitoring these discussions and working in a solution. iphone 5 no signal bars fault

So I bought my iphone 5 brand new sealed in a box. Opened it up, put in my new Tesco nano Sim and everything is working absolutely fine...for about 3 days. 2 days ago I get off the tube and I notice my phone has 3G (which works), says my carrier (Tesco) but shows no signal bars, just 5 horizontal lines. I call up Tesco and they have no idea... I take matters into my own hands and take my sim out and put it in my friends iphone 5 - it works, full service and 3G. However, his sim goes into mine with the same problem...insinuating its my phone with the issue!I've tried, hard resets, airplane mode switching, network settings reset, resetting everything. Nothing works. Anyone have any clues? I'm absolutely stumped. It worked perfectly for about 3 days and then decided to stop working...and is definitely my phone, not the sim. I can use 3G, just no signal so I can't make or receive calls or texts Any ideas?CheersMatt

All Non-Preloaded Apps Crash Instantly On Startup iphone 4S

All of my iphone 4S Non-Preloaded apps have been crashing upon their startup. The titlescreen for the app appears and then it just cuts back to the iphone launch sreen. The iphone then shows the app is running but clicking the app icon does nothing after the intial app startup. I have iOS 6.0.1 and all apps are up to date. I have restarted, reset, and restored my iPod and the problem continues. I have also tried deleting and downloading the app again. The phone has been treated with great care. No recent accidents could have caused this. I doubt Apple will let me trade it in and I can't update for another year, so switching up would be very expensive.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Face Detection on iphone 4s freezes on faces won t work Help

Hi all. I've been searching all across the Internet in hopes that others are having the same issue as me. I'm hoping that anyone can shed some light on why this keeps happening to me. I purchased a brand new iPhone4s in December of 2011. My phone was working great till around April 2012, I began having the issue that if I take a picture of people with the apple camera app (both front & back camera), face detection locates the faces but then freezes on me. Many times the camera won't take the picture and then shuts down and restarts itself. Other times, it will take the picture but only after several minutes. The camera app works great on landscape, but not faces. It doesn't matter if I'm opening the camera from the lock screen or in my unlocked phone. I took my iphone into the apple store numerous times and it was eventually replaced. I started with a clean phone and just in case, I uploaded my apps back on my new iphone from itunes, not icloud. I did this to avoid installing the problem back on my iphone. Sadly, the problem is now arising again on a replaced iphone.  In addition, on my orginal iphone (before replacement) sometimes, if I would want to edit a picture in the camera roll, the picture would freeze and cause my phone to shut down and restart. I haven't encountered this problem yet on the replaced iphone. Is this problem happening to anyone else? Please help. Thank you!

Multiple problems but now iphone 5 screen constantly freezing and acting possessed

I got my first ever iphone on 9/21/12.  Immediately, when I opened the package, I noticed a scratch in the aluminum side.  I read a lot of posts on this forum about scratches, but I decided I would let it go since my scratch wasn't that big.  Two days later, I realized that the battery life was terrible and only lasts me about a day and a half before I have to recharge again.  I also noticed that whenever I had to type in my password for the App Store to buy an app, the screen would flicker on the second row of keys on the keyboard when I switched to the numbers (9/23).  That problem seems to have disappeared for now ever since I updated the software.  The voicemail doesn't seem to work unless I turn the cellular data off (I think that's just because I don't know how it works) and I receive voicemails LATE.   Lately, this month, I have noticed that my iphone 5 screen freezes midway whenever I try to swipe to the next pages.  It also freezes every half second when I am trying to type anything.  The "send" button also doesn't respond to me when I press it.  The home screen button is the only thing that I can press to unfreeze everything, but it's getting really frustrating to do that every other second.  Since two days ago, whenever I am repeatedly trying to press an app or swipe, random apps start to open up even though my finger is no where near it.  Lately, it has also been unresponsive to any touch (like sliding to unlock), but I wonder if it's because my hands are too cold... Just a few minutes ago, my iphone was acting possessed and started opening up a text conversation and switching to another text BY ITSELF.  I wasn't even touching it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What can I do? Is it too late to bring it to the Apple Store to get a new one? It's been two months since I opened it and I have never dropped it and I kept the original screen protectors on it for a month until my actual screen protectors arrived. 

Netflix app not opening. iphone 3G

I have a problem with the Netflix app. I can use it perfectly after I first download the app, but on subsequent attempts to open the app, why do I get stuck on the red loading Netflix screen?I'm using an iphone 4S and I did recently updated to iOS6. I've already talked to a Netflix representative and she said that it was a bandwidth problem, but I find that hard to believe because I can open the app consistently on the first time after downloading, and it works perfectly fine. For some reason it is upon closing and then trying to reopen the app that I get stuck at the loading screen. I've tried restarting my phone and switching between 3G and Wi-Fi to no avail. Help please~

3G switching problem iphone 5

Hi there. I want to know if any of you experience the same problem as I do.  I'm iphone 5 user from Indonesia, already running ios 6.0.1 and using indosat as my carrier. I noticed whenever I switched from their 3G to 2G network whether manually or automatically and switch it back to 3G, the iphone just couldn't connect to 3G. It doesn't happen in one or two occasions but all the time. switching to airplane mode and back to normal doesn't help. It can only connect back to 3G when I do restart or reboot.  I find it a real frustrating at times because from time to time iphone switches to 2G to conserve power although it is running on wifi. In addition to that I often travel from wifi covered area to non-wifi covered area, and really, having to restart my phone from time to time is really annoying.  I thought apple prides itself for having a stable products that 'just works' and doesn't need much rebooting, but for me I have to reboot all the time whenever my 3G signal is lost just to get 3G.  Any of you people suffering same problem as I am? Please apple, fix this. It's definitely iphone 5 hardware/firmware related. This problem doesn't happen with my friend's iphone 4 or 4s also running the latest ups 6.0.1.

Many of my apps are opening up in landscape mode, even when I'm holding the iphone in the normal/vertical position.  I would like the phone to be able to use potrait and landscape mode, depending on the position of the phone. How do i fix this?

No call reception with LTE on Deutsche Telekom network iphone 5

Running iphone 5 in Germany with Deutsche Telekom on the LTE network means no call reception after the first call. Starting with the second call the caller will be diverted directly to the mail box, which is very annoying. This seems to happen whenever one stays within an LTE network cell. Or in other words, switching the LTE tower or turning off LTE for a second will allow another caller to get through. According to Deutsche Telekom the iphone 5 has a firmware issue which will have to be fixed by Apple. In order to receive a call the iphone has to switch to 3G. When the call ends, the phone will automatically switch back to the LTE network. According to the technician there seems to be a problem with the ID lease in the process which can't be fixed by Deutsche Telekom. The only fix for the user seems to be switching of LTE altogether or making sure to turn it off/on after each call while staying within one LTE cell tower. This is a reproducable problem that I have verified to exist with three iphone 5 so far. Anybody else with this issue?

iphone 5 vs. iphone 4S

My T-Mobile contract ends this December. I'd prefer to stick with T-Mobile, but the iphone only works on Verizon and ATT&T, so it looks like I'll be switching carriers. From what I've read/head, the iphone on Verizon is far superior to the service with ATT&T. I havn't really done much research between the new iphone 5, and it's predecessor, the iphone 4S. From the little research I've done, they both run iOS 6. The iphone 5 has the updated A6 CPU, vs the iphone 4S has the A5; what's the difference between the two (i.e. what can you do with the A6 that you can't with the A5)? Both have the 8MP Camera, while the iphone 5 also has the front camera as well (I could care less about this). The battery life betwen the two are basically identical. The biggest differnce to me is the 4G capability of the iphone 5, while the iphone 4S is stuck with 3G. Are either of these iPhones compatible with the Flash Player? Thanks,-Adam

iphone 5 faint diagonal lines

Has anybody noticed faint diagonal lines (running top right to bottom left in portrait orientation) across the entire iphone 5 screen when viewed from slightly of center? Is this normal?It is like a grid across the whole display, I'm guessing its the touch sensing layer, but I'm surprised at how visible it is.
