Can anypne tell me how to save your already existing text messages on your phone to your computer ? Thank you
I have text messages on my phone from a recently deceased friend. I want to keep them. Can I upload/download them in some way to be able to keep them on my computer?
Hello, I currently have an iphone 4s 16 GB and am quickly running out of storage space. I only have about 700 MB of space remaining and my "Other" category is taking up 6.27 GB of space! I believe that most of this is because of my text messages; I have never deleted any of them and I'm in a group message that easily accumulates over 150 texts per day, so I need space, and fast!!! I have read about several programs and am definitely willing to buy one, but I would like first-hand information about these programs. I'm looking for a program that will save my SMS, MMS, and iMessage text messages to my MackBook so that I can delete them from my iphone. I would need a program that will save the messages permanently. I want to be able to save the messages to the program, delete them from my phone, connect my phone to the program at later dates and save additional messages, and not lose any messages at all. I don't want an app that I can only save messages to once because if I try to save more, it gets rid of the old ones and only saves the new ones. I'm not sure how any of the programs work as far as that goes, so if anyone could reccommend a program to me that would do what I'm looking for, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thank you in advance for the help!!!
I received a push notifcation for Viber (new contact) but it did not save how do I retrieve as i do not have their contact details

Help. All of a sudden my Instagram photos don't save automatically to iphone 5 camera roll. Not sure if since the iOS 6.1.4 update or instagram App update. All the settings are correct under settings private
I just got my iphone 3 months ago, brand new. First, it gave me problems because the lock button stopped working, (an issue I was told by a genius that I would have to pay for because I couldn't drive an hour a way at 16 years old to get to the closest Apple Store), and now it isn't sending text messages to anyone that doesn't have an iDevice. I am so done with this iphone, it's only been three months and I'm DYING to get a droid. Please, help me figure out how to receive & send regular text messages at least until I can save enough to buy a phone that works.
No matter what I put in, it will not save phone number under "My Number" it is my number and SIM. Phone is not Jailbroken, but it is unlocked from an ATT fulfilled plan
A friend has given me her iphone 4. It still has all her data on it. I want to install my data and erase hers. How can I do this and make sure my data is safe. I connected her phone to my computer thinking that I could reset it back to factory settings but it seemed that my computer wanted to save the data off the phone first. I don't want to do this. What's the easiest way of wiping her phone clean and then installing the data from mine? There are a couple of game apps on her computer that I'm happy to keep. Is it easy to save these? I'm prepared to erase them with the rest of the data from her phone if it's a problem.
My iphone 4S has taken to turning off with as much as 30% power left. When I plug it in again and it comes back up, it will indicate the same power percentage. I have made it a habit of draining the battery at least once a month and then fully charging it (probably that happens more than once a month), so I feel like I've been properly maintaining the battery. I got this when the 4S came out, so it's as old as the 4S model is. Oddly, if I'm on the phone this does not happen. It will run down to 1%. Maybe that's coincedence, maybe not. It's quite irritating - isn't this supposed to be the software/hardware that "just works"? - when you're doing something important and this happens. Today two armadillos appeared in our back yard and I was shooting some video of them. I got a low battery warning - I'm not sure if it was the 10% or 20% warning - but then right after clearing it, the phone shut down. I had some good video, but instead of using the remaining power to save the video, the video was just lost. I had never seen armadillos up close like that and was wanting that video to show my son and some other people, but now due to this problem that video is gone. Thanks a lot, Apple!
Messaging, facetime, and emailing works fine. Only certain phone calls (certain numbers) do not go through. Often requires I dial the same number multiple times (>8 times) and call may go through. The other end has no problem calling me. Sometimes the other end registers a missed call or a short ringing but I cannot hear the ringing on my end. The phone starts counting the seconds as if the call has been placed but no connection is actually made (it does not connect with the other end's voicemail either.
My wife took her phone to the Apple store for a bad speaker and short battery life. They replaced the speaker and ran diagnostics and determined that Springboard was bad. They can reflash the phone, and she can restore content from the cloud, but will lose all her stored SMS messages. She can do a full backup to our computer, but Apple said if she restores from that, the problem will return to Springboard. This was incredulous to me that Apple would mix data with programs and have this issue. Another appointment at the Genius bar and I went with her. Same story from Apple. They even gave me an analogy that if you car has a problem caused by bad oil and you drain the oil and fix the problem, and then put the old oil back in, the problem returns. I thought a more apt analogy is having to remove the radiator to fix your air conditioner, and putting the antifreeze back in the radiator after reaasembly. It will NOT break the A/C again. I found some third party applications that may do what is needed for $20-$70. The Apple store had their canned spiel on third party applications. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there a workaround? And is it believable that the world's largest technology company still writes their software this way?
how do i set up visual voicemail on the iphone 5? Any help would be great! Thanks.
Please gift me Johnny apple seed way For god cause you all know how HELP save OUR EARTH For THEE GoDS
The visual voicemail on my 4s quit working. I have taken the phone to my provider (they were baffled), used the apple on line support and troubleshooting. I have reset teh network setting and no change. I get voicemails but have to periodically go back to dialing in to check to see if I have any as I dod not get notified.
The button on the left side of the phone is in the correct position and the ringer is set at the loudest level. I have turned the phone off and turned it back on but this does not solve the problem.
how can i save the music from my iphone to itunes ?
I had recently changed my password on my iphone 5, next time I went to open my phone it wouldn't except the password I thought I had changed it to. Now I'm locked out of my phone and it just says connect to itunes. I connected to my itunes but it won't let me access anything from the phone since its locked and I need my password. I have never personally backed up my phone. When purchasing the phone the lady told me since I have icloud it gets automatically backed up and I had also purchased extra later. My question is, is it possible in any way to save my photos or contacts? Thank you.
I had an issue with my iphone 4S. I accidentally dropped it in my toilet. It was there for no more than 1 second. I took it and turned it off (it was still working when I took it off). But after a few minutes the phone turned itself on twice and LED light from rear camera was on, first it was constantly on then started blinking. I turned the phone off again and LED shut off. Put the phone in a bag and covered with uncooked rice to remove moisture for almost a day. The phone is fully functional, but the LED light is not working at all. Is there anything I could do? Thanks.-
I accident deleted my subway surfer game and sign out of my Game Center. But when I redownload the game all my items where gone. I save my game. How do I reload where I left off.
My sister lost her black iphone 4s Verizon and we're sure it's been restored by whoever found the iphone. Is there any way we can still track after restore? What if we wait it out and hope this person turns on location services and/or uses the SIM card? We really don't know what to do, so please tell us anything that might help us and anything that won't. Muchly appreciated!
Had the iphone 5 for a couple of months and today I had problems receiving/sending text messages and calls. email is fine. I have tried the usual i.e. power down, remove/reseat sim, reset network connections, sync itunes, changing networks.I have contacted my carrier and they tried everything I tried but still no joy. The signal is good but the calls fail and when someone phones me goes straight to voicemail..
i have had to restore my phone as new. since it its a work phone, i cannot lose my text. any idea of how to save these?
After I downloded the latest update on my iphone4 it went into recovery mode and wants me to restore the iphone. Ive never backed up my phone and am afraid if i restore it i will loose all my pictures and contacts. If this is true how can i potentially save my pics/contacts?

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour. About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode. Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button. I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady
I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone. However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info. She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!
How do I save or recover all my photos when the iphone is telling me I must restore it to factory settings?

I recently purchased an iphone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. Whatever that means. Background info: Left the house around 10:00 AM, battery fully charged at 100%Finished class at 12:00 PM, battery dropped to 53% (VERY minimal use, I was sitting through a lecture)Arrived at AT&T store at 12:15 PM, battery at 51%AT&T Rep turns off LTE, Wireless, Location Services, Bluetooth and Auto BrightnessThe only apps that were opened/used were Text, Mail (fetch set to Manual) and SafariAT&T Rep says there's nothing he can do, but these changes should "help"Left AT&T 12:25 PM, hopped on bus, got home at 12:45 PM, battery drops to 43% (ZERO use)Call nearby Apple store at 12:50 PM to set up an appointment (Call length: 11 minutes), battery drops to 41%Call Customer Support at 1:30 PM to run remote battery diagnostic (Call length: 16 minutes), battery drops to 32%Apple Rep says the diagnostics looks normal...... Battery life: 30%Usage: 2 hours 26 minsStand by: 6 hours and 3 minutes This can't be right. Is anyone experiencing similar issues with their battery? Does the usage information above look normal? Any suggestions and/or tips on what I can do? I'm so upset with both Apple & AT&T right now. The AT&T rep even suggested that I "turn off cellular data" to save the battery life. REALLY? I feel like I basically just purchased an iPod touch for $240!
video camera on my iphone did not save video and i can't find it and its taking up memory, anyone know how to find it and clear it?
i have been using the same back up file for my phone's for the past four years and my iphone 5 started was all glitchy and i had over 10gb of other used up on phone so i restored it. before i restored it though i saved all of my pictures to a folder on my mac using image capture. now im wonder how to import the photos back into my camera roll, not another folder on my phone. so far i have tried using ieplorer and a couple of other programs like that but no luck. i have about 1,500 photos so i cant email all of them to myself and then save them all. all i want is all my photos back into my camera roll :/
I do not so much have a question, but a statement: I did the upgrade to iOS 6 last night. I had to delete a lot of apps to make room for the upgrade and did a small icloud back up to save space. But, after waiting and seeing the upgrade time kept going up and up, I just went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the Night to check and my phone said to connect to iTunes. When I did, it told me I had to restore my phone. So I had no choice because, it would not leave the connect to iTunes message on my screen otherwise. This is a horrible glitch!
My wifi option has been grayed out for several weeks now, Apple has even replaced my phone. I've tried all the tricks from resetting network settings, heating method, and apparently there is a freezing method as well. Apple is wanting to replace it, but it will happen again. I hate how Apple ignores issues like this, since I've seen reports about it as early as April, but I'm sure has happened before then. I'm still under warranty, and lately I've been trying to downgrade to the iOS 6.1.2 since I didn't have the issue at that point, but that's not allowed by Apple and I can't do it through jailbreak since I didn't save SHSH blobs from that previous software. At this point, I'm at a loss, I don't see how they don't realize that it's a big issue for people. What I wish would happen is just for them to re-release 6.1.2 and just label it as 6.1.4 or something as a temporary fix. Hopefully another discussion about this issue will prompt Apple into working faster on a fix, or at least acknowledge it and let people that have been affected know that a fix is coming very soon.
HELLO I'M FROM ECUADOR, 3 MONTHS AGO I BOUGHT A iphone 5. EVERYTHING WAS OK BUT NOW I HAVE TROUBLES WITH THE LOCK BOTTON IT DOESN'T WORK, I'M REALLY UPSET ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I save A LOT OF MONEY TO BUY THIS PHONE AND NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE GIVE ME A SOLUTION.
Hey all, I have an iphone 5, obviously less than a year old, and am having a really strange problem. Two days ago, I was able to charge my phone, sync it, everything like it was normal. Yesterday, it decided it won't charge. When the phone is dead, and I plug it in it has the normal charging screen and will get to 5% like usual. But then, there is no charging battery, and my phone charges SUPER slow. For example, yesterday I plugged in my phone at 3:50pm with 1%, and when I unplugged it (never used it while charging) it was 9:15pm and 34%. Continuing to charge it from then has resulted it up to 50% now. When it's plugged into my computer (Windows 7 Professional), I get a notification that says the USB device has malfunctioned. So I know from this and the very slight charging that it shouldn't be the cord, there is still communication between the two. I haven't updated my phone to the latest settings (it's on 6.0.2) and I'm struggling to try to update it now. I also don't want to Reset all Settings due to some of my photos and videos that I need to save and I don't want those deleted. What do I do? How do I go about fixing this situation? It really shouldn't be a battery since it's a decently new phone. It's been handled great and there is no damage to it and no drops. Help!
I have had an iphone 4 for a little over two years now and feel like recently, my battery is dying so fast. When I go out for the day it always dies before I get home, what I think it is, could be that I take a lot of pictures and use many picture apps, but I don' think that it has always been this bad. NO matter what I do, when I go out to shoot at the park, it dies within a few hours. I hardly use it for other things besides that and it still dies. Yesterday when I left the house at 12, and came home at 5, it was dead. I did all of the things I read about that I need to do, like closing the apps, etc. I don't get it, is it me, or the battery being old or what? Should I buy a portable charger or do I need a new phone? I have a question about charging the battery as well. A coworker of mine told me that you need to let your battery die out every time, and then charge it, but I never do that. Is that neccessary to save the battery? Thank you. (*not sure what the difference is between CDMA and GSM? sorry)
iphone 4 won't turn on, not showing up in iTunes, and only shows 'connect to iTunes' when connected to wall charger but dies when plugged off to be connected. Battery charged up to 100%. Please help! When I connect it to my computer the apple logo comes on and off but nothing else happens. I can't restore or access the phone through my laptop cause it's not detectable to iTunes, I don't see in it 'my computer' as well. Tried the home and sleep button hard reboot method, no use. Please help me save my phone!
I'm trying to bookmark a pin from a photo that I took that has the location. I don't know how to save the pin in maps. Please help.

Tiny Troopers 2 (iphone and iPad Game) saves are not being synced to both devices. No option is given to load the iphone save onto my iPad. Why is this? Can anyone explain or help me with this problem?
