Sending the phone via mail costs me around $250 or more both ways. Please help.

Complete battery failure iPhone 4S

On Friday of last week my iPhone 4S began to rapidly lose it's charge.  By this I mean from 100% to 65% by 9:30 am, and completely dead by 2:30 in the afternoon.  I turned off my location services and "killed" all the apps running and it did not change my rapid depletion.  This morning I noticed my phone was warm to the touch and when I checked it my battery was down to 10% by 8:30 am and this was after having been at a 100% charge at 07:00 am.  I turned my phone off completely at 8:30 and when I went to turn it back on I got no response, not even the picture of the battery that indicates it needs to be charged.  So when I finished my work shift at 3:30 I put my phone on the charger and it has still yet to turn back on.  Has any body heard or had an issue with this?

The device functioned normally and after an update, it did not take over my chip and says the device is locked (is asking to put a valid chip). After several attempts, I got in touch with the Apple of my country (Brazil), and to my surprise, the search for the serial device, they reported that the device is locked by Sprint and manufactures do not accept support or exchange (The unit has 1 month bought with full price in amazon), telling me to settle with Amazon. I insisted informing them that the unit was purchased unlocked and they also reported that this device is aimed at the European market, it works with CDMA and GSM and Apple Brazil suporPelas just the research I have done and talking to some people, I passed the information that Sprint can easily inform this code (or Imei) not sure which unlocks the device again, but have no information on how to get or do that. I contacted Amazon stating what happened and I'm waiting for a position within it, is to send the code or return the handset. My model is the A1429. Lately I've been having probelms with my iPhone 4s. I bought it in July of last year. The problems include: my lock button is jambed, the phone thinks that I have headphones in when I don't, and applications such as Camera and Safari constantly crash. The screen also does not always respond when I touch it and it does not ring or vibrate when I recieve calls sometimes (I did check to see if my ringer was on, along with vibrating in Sounds under Settings). I have Apple Care+. Can I trade it in for a refurbished phone? Also, for an extra fee would I be able to trade it in for a refurbished iPhone 5?

Water damage to screen but phone working iPhone 4S

I got a small amount of water in my iphone, at first i thought it was ok but after about half hour the water had spread through my screen, and it started going blotchy and cloudy. The touch screen still works, speakers, charger, camera etc. Only thing is phone wont turn off? I tried the rice for a few hours but didnt do much. I have an iPhone 5 still within the 1 year warranty. It has a small crack on the top right of the phone, which doesn't have any effect on the screen or touch capabilities. However, the phone also has a faulty camera and lock button. What I am wondering is, does the fact that the screen is cracked affect the ability to get a warranty replacement for the other two problems? Thanks!

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

So last night I was talking via speaker phone and suddenly noticed that the sound quality was horrible.  It was extremely grainy and scratchy sounding.  At first I thought it was just something with the call quality so I turned off the speaker and talked on the phone normally.  Later I got an e-mail and noticed that the tone that it made also sounded scratchy.  So I tried playing a song through the iPhone speaker and sure enough that was awful too.   I know it's the internal speaker because the music played fine through headphones.  Has anyone experienced this before?  If so, how did you go about fixing it? Thank you!

iPhone images won t restore after phone reset

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me as my wife's iPhone completely froze up after synching with the latest version of iTunes. In the end, the only thing she could do was re-set the iPhone, thereby of course losing everything. Reconnecting to her laptop restored music and most apps, it seems she has to re-download the other apps again direct to the phone. Now the problem is images. There is an ipod cache directory on the laptop Pictures directory, and in this are folders labelled F00, F01 etc.. and a "Photo Database" file. In each of the Fnn directories is a series of files, called Txxx.ithmb, each of which is about 1,500KB. Doing a backup from the laptop indicates there are about 2900 files overall.Altogether there is about 3GB in this folder, so it looks to be a lot of space.  Pointing iTunes to the directory containing all this and synching, still results in zero images being found. She went to the local Apple store for help, to be told these are not the images, but then elsewhere I have read that these are the full files, and this proprietary format contains three different resolution images. If the images taken on the iPhone are not here, where are they? Finally, how on earth do we convince iTunes to recognize these files and imporrt them again? Sorry to be thick but losing everything thanks to the latest iTunes was rather catastrophic! Any help/ideas/suggestions greatfully received... The photo files were a mix of photos taken on the iPhone and images previously uploaded from the laptop. Cheers Chipontheroad

Hey guys, my iPhone 5 was bought in December at Bestbuy. I just made an appointment at the Genius Bar and I wanted to ask some questions about the one year warranty included with the phone. My phone had been working fine for the past six months and it's never been treated harshly ( I've always kept a good case on it and a screen protector ) however yesterday my lock button stopped working... whenever I click it the phone does not respond to it. The phone is basically new when taken out of the case and the only reasonable explanation for this, in my opinion is a defect of manufacture that recently showed up. I'm wondering what will apple do when I take my phone in? Will they replace it for another? Attempt to fix it? Will any charges be present? And what should I bring just incase they decide to replace it ( ex. headphones, charger?)  Thank you.

touch Screen Insensitivity iPhone 5

Is anyone having issues with a lack of sensitivity  of iPhone 5 screen. I am having to touch items several times to select or scroll the screen, when it does scroll it "jumps" to catch up making it hard to operate smoothly. I Also notice that the screen appears to have shifted up slightly cutting off top of wi-fi and battery symbols. These symptoms don't always happen and I cant be sure I can show them to a Genius. This my 4th iphone, so my expectations are only what I have experienced with the others.

There seems to be a lot of people out there dropping their Iphone in the bath so I thought I would share my experience of fixing mine.Firstly if its in warranty consult your dealer - if this doesn't help try the following: A lot of people say stick it in bags of rice / silicon, etc but here is a quicker, more reliable way which is far less likely to contaminate one of the connectors. You do not need any special equipment. Make sure phone is off (If you can still see the screen) - hold sleep and Home for 5 seconds and tap the red off button that appearsPop your oven on a low heat ( less than 100C) for 5 minutes.Wrap your phone inside a sock, doubled over a couple of times so the phone is well protected.Turn oven offPop phone into oven for 30 minutes or longer preferably You could use a hairdryer but be very careful to keep it moving to avoid any localised heat spots that could damage components. If the phone got really soaked you might want to jump down to taking the phone apart - if it is still full of water powering up or charging could result in further damage Let the phone cool and try to power up, if nothing happens check for any signs of water vapour still in the phone and repeat if present. Otherwise try charging and powering up Still no success? this step requires a very small crosshead (some need a 5star) screwdriver, don't compromise and try and use a larger one, damaged screws will cause you even more expense. Very cheap on ebay. Unscrew the 2 small screws at the bottom next to the speaker, slide the back up and lift away. Unscrew the very small screw holding the battery connector in place and pry up the connector (lift the side nearest the edge first). Be careful not to lose the screw or the small metal bracket under the connector. Use the plastic tab sticking up half way along the battery to ease the battery out (usual there is a small amount of glue on them). This will reset the phone (you will not lose anything but the phone will hopeful power up when the battery is replaced). This is a good time to try the drying procedure again to ensure there is no more moisture present. Reconnect the battery screw everything back in place and press the wake button. If this has not succeeded you may need specialist help to test more components.Good luck ( and I cannot stress enough - keep the temperature low when drying)

Hi, I have an iPhone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with Skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto

I recently purchased an iPhone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. Whatever that means.Background info: Left the house around 10:00 AM, battery fully charged at 100%Finished class at 12:00 PM, battery dropped to 53% (VERY minimal use, I was sitting through a lecture)Arrived at AT&T store at 12:15 PM, battery at 51%AT&T Rep turns off LTE, Wireless, Location Services, Bluetooth and Auto BrightnessThe only apps that were opened/used were Text, Mail (fetch set to Manual) and SafariAT&T Rep says there's nothing he can do, but these changes should "help"Left AT&T 12:25 PM, hopped on bus, got home at 12:45 PM, battery drops to 43% (ZERO use)Call nearby Apple store at 12:50 PM to set up an appointment (Call length: 11 minutes), battery drops to 41%Call Customer Support at 1:30 PM to run remote battery diagnostic (Call length: 16 minutes), battery drops to 32%Apple Rep says the diagnostics looks normal...... Battery life: 30%Usage: 2 hours 26 minsStand by: 6 hours and 3 minutes This can't be right. Dipped left speaker on my iphone 4s into some vanilla ice cream. suggestions

My hand slipped while holding the phone and eating ice cream. The left speaker got a dunking. Yeah I know I screwed up but that's life. I licked the ice cream off but now the sound volume on the left speaker is reduced compared to the right speaker which didn't get the ice cream treatment. Any suggestions? (Other than dipping the right speaker in so they both sound the same?) Thanks

Hi all, I have a few Audiobooks which I listen to on my IPhone 3GS a lot and I put a couple more and last night I downloaded them and now they have an echo which it didnt before.  From what i have read I need to change the playback speed but from all the feedback I have seen online there is no icon on my phone at the bottom right corner I can touch to change it.  I have just about tried everything with no luck. Hi everyone... I want to ask question, I just realise that I Can't do anything (swipe, text, ect) when my iphone placed on the flat surface. To be able to swipe or text i must literally hold the iphone with my hand. When the iphone was placed on the flat surface (table for example), The screen do not respond at all when I just do the swipe and text with my finger (I don't touch the iphone with my hand).But when I picked up the phone and hold it with my hand, the screen began to respond to my finger,,  Anyone facing the same problem ?Do we have to hold the iphone with our hand in order to be able to swipe or text ? If anyone have the answer to this problem, please let me know, because it was so frustating now that I can't do anything when my phone was placed on the table.
