iphone 5 Rear Microphone
Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iphone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross
299.00 damage fee b.s. iphone 4
I received a refurbished iphone 4 under the 1year apple warranty. My home/power button became stuck, so I went to the vzw store and was told that it was a manufacture defect. I received refurbished phone and sent other phone back. I got my bill and now they charging 299.00 for a damage fee, WHY???My phone has never been out of its case and I know it's not my fault that the button got stuck. I know I'm not paying for no damage fee when the damage had nothing to do with me! Guess ill find new phone carrier cause this is a big boat load of b.s,!!!!!

hey! i upgraded to an iphone 5 in october 2012. ive always had the iphones and never had a problem with them before. however, this phone has decided it no longer wants to charge, at first i thought it was the usb so i brought a new one for it. but it didnt charge it either. i have tried using different sockets ive even used my dockinstation but nothing works. the phone is all up to date and shows a message stating 'this accessory is not meant for charging' , anyone else having the same problem?
iphone 5-rattling phone second replacement coming
hi guys. i can see this is a common issue. i have heard a few different reasons about why this is happening. either it's the autofocus mechanism or the vibrate motor.whatever the reason, this should not be happening on a £600 piece of hardware. the quality control at apple is not what it used to be and when they are rushing to manufacture millions of devices to tight deadlines in china then this is a problem that was going to happen sooner or later.i am of the opinion that this is a fault with possibly more than 50% of all iphones manufactured to date and apple needs to do a product recall. it seems that they have told staff to not admit this as a fault to try and avoid just that.i got a replacement and it arrived, the rattle was slightly less noticable but definitely still there. i just ordered another replacement and will continue to keep doing so until i get a device that doesn't rattle.before anyone says that this is normal and it is SUPPOSED to rattle, that is BS. i have been to the apple store in brighton and tried the display models and even tried a few they had in the back after speaking with a staff member. out of the 12 phones i went through, 2 didnt rattle AT ALL. Now you tell me if that is normal and people should just put up with the substandard product that apple has churned out this time. I say NO, and the more people that actually make a stand, the quicker apple will be forced to spend some of their $600B on fixing this issue.
iphone 5 charging problem
Hi. I have a iphone 5. When I plug my phone In to charge it charges fine but it has to be plugged in perfectly straight. If I move or knock the charging adapter in the phone it will stop charging even though it is still plugged in the phone. The adapter seems like it only can be charged when it is in a certain position. this is obviously a fault. It is not my adapter as I have tried several different ones. There must be something wrong with the charging port on the iphone. What I would like to know would this be coved under apples warranty?
My iphone 5 stopped recognizing my USB cable
In the past few nights, my phone would charge if I had the cord in exactly the right place, but as soon as I touched it in the slightest, it would stopped charging. It did one of those charge, no charge things where it recognizes it for a second, vibrates to tell you it's charging and then stop and then start over again (lots of vibrates). Every once in a while I would get a "Charging is not supported by this accessory" notifications even though I'm using my factory-produced cord and adaptor. Then last night it stopped recognizing USB cords altogether. I tried two different cords, two different adaptors, three different outlets, and plugging it into my laptop. Nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions or have encountered similar problems? I would really like to be able to charge my phone before it dies. Thanks. Jason

iphone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls
Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iphone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!! ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..
My i-phone 4s has WIFI greyed out since installing iOS 6 i called APPLE australia and they told me i was 83 days out of warranty and i have to pay 250. this was on 24th of april man on phone then told me i might have to jailbreak
the man on the phone told me to jailbreak my iphone so i could get iOS 5 back.. but by jailbreaking a phone you lose the warranty anyway... considering this is apple's fault (iOS 6 has ruined my 4s capability to connect to wifi) ( and my girlfriend has as 4s on iOS 5 and that still connects fine ) i think they should be doing more i am a long time apple customer but i think this has made me want to swap back to being a windows user and maybe getting the samsung or HTC
Unable to open iphone 5 S slot US bought phone
I bought an iPhone5 from the US, on AT&T carrier. I have now returned to Europe, and wish to change the SIM card. However the SIM card slot is there, but will not open. I have used the key / paperclip methods to try and open, and have taken to an Apple reseller for advice/assistance, but they were too unable to help. I understand there may be a reason why the phone may be SIM locked electronically, but can anyone advise if the hardware may itself be locked to prevent SIM removal? It appears strange that the slot is there but cannot not be opened. I am hoping it is a hardware fault - if so I expect I will need to return for repair in the US? Or can I take to my nearest Apple store (Amsterdam) for warranty repair? Any advice would be appreciated.
cant see my LCD but can use my phone iphone 4S
so this weekend i was on the my iphone 4s making a call then i pu tmy phone down i picked it up a few minutes later to check the time and i cant see my screen anymore its either just black or it flashes white and has lines through it i didnt drop my phone so theres no outer damage at all i can still use the digitizer and everything works fine it just seems the lcd has stopped working ive tried hard restart restoring my phone to factory settings and everythign else i could think of but nothing works i have a repair request set up waiting for apple to send me the packaging to mail them my phone just wondering if the apple one year warranty covers lcd failure as it was not my fault and i just bought the phone brand new 2 months ago
4 month old iphone 5 with Applecare-Still Â179.99 to replace screen
Hi all, I have an iphone 5 which is only 4 months old and has full Applecare on it. Unfortunatley I had a horse decide to tread on it and the whole screen has cracked! I've taken it to the Apple Store and they have replaced the whole phone for a new one. Thats brilliant except that even though i've paid extra for the Applecare and its only 120 days old, I still had to pay £179.99! From discussions it sounds like there is an option in the US of purchasing Applecare plus, which also has accidental damage, however surely the UK's applecare should have some kind of accidental damage allowance!? After all we all know how small the chances of a hardware fault occuring on an iphone and that seems to be all thats covered with Applecare! I'd like to get other peoples views of this please. Don't get me wrong I agree that if you had a phone that was 6 months old or older, or you had decided not to pay a further £99 for Applecare, then i'd expect to have to pay to get the phone repaired/replaced, but it just seems such a waste of money getting Applecare when this is the most common problem thats bound to happen to your phone!

I bought a iphone 5 that turned out to be blocked. The seller listed the iphone as faulty with no service so I thought it must be a fault. It is still under warrenty so could I go to apple to get a replacement? I don't want to lose the money I spent on buying it. There is nothing wrong with what I am doing right, it's not my fault?
Ridiculous store iphone 4S
I got my very first iphone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iphone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! this is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a Samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(
iphone 4 detected by iTunes but won't charge.
Hello, my iphone started acting weird two days ago. Whenever I plug it in to a wall charger and my computer, it makes the little noise that alets me it's plugged in, but it won't charge. It is detected on iTunes on my Macbook but again. it won't charge. It also says something about it can't be charged with this accessory. Any Ideas? Yes I've tried different cables.

The charging accessory i have is the same one I have had since i received my phone and its charging with an apple charger..even tried charging via my computer which is an Apple.I did order another charger but find this strange.

Has anyone come across this problem? It started at 3am this morning. The noise the phone makes when you first connect it to the charger was going off every few seconds. Since then it kind of charges then eventually jumps to the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" notice. Not sure what else to try. Its on the latest software version etc and I have tried 3 chargers and plugging it into the laptop but no joy. this is the 2nd iphone 4 I have had in 2 years. First one the home button broke after 7 months and this one is now doing this. I have seen lots of post about this but cant seem to find a solution.
Huge data usage on iOS 6.1.2 with carrier COSMOTE in Greece on iphone 5
I recently purchased a new iphone 5 and it seems that I have managed to chew up 6,5 GB of Cellular Data in 7 days of owning it, while spending 80% of my time in WiFi locations (at home or in my office). I usually use around 500MB - 750 MB per month so I am extremely concerned. I contacted my carrier but they said that as I have only recently been added to my price plan they cannot see how much data I have really used until my first bill is printed...In addition their 80% usage warning when you have consumed more than 80% of your data plan doesnt work either because as they stated the system gets confused?!?!. They also told me to switch off Cellular Data as the iphone 5 will use it when on Wifi...Whats the story on iphone 5 using cellular data even when on Wifi????? Considering I am about to incur a 450 euro bill for the extra data usage, I would like to know if this a software fault (i.e. iCloud synching being stupid and using cellular data instead of wifi), a carrier settings fault, or simply a Cellular Data counter fault. For other users of the iphone 5 phone on COSMOTE in Greece using LTE BEWARE! As they have no idea what is going on with this.

Second Hand iphone 4 Replacement
Hi Guys, I know this may have been asked before but, I was at work and my phone fell out of my pocket through no fault of my own. The front glass and back glass broke and my lock button is stuck now (it does not work). iphone 5-No Service WIFI keeps dropping
iphone 5 - No Service & WIFI keeps dropping I recently upgraded from an iphone 4 to a 5 and since then I am having a nightmare with connectivity. My phone constantly says No Service or doesn’t pick up WIFI in places my old phone worked absolutely fine. I am with the same company, Orange, so it isn’t a change to service provider. I know the phone is at fault as I commute the same way every day etc and never had this issue before. Any ideas? Orange (bandits!) won’t speak to me as it is outwith the 14 days cooling off period!
iphone 4s stuck in DFU Recovery
I have an iphone 4s that stopped receiving signal (from O2) despite numerous reboots. The SIM (and provider) works in another 'phone. Therefore I decided to backup and restore the iphone in case it was a software bug. However upon restore, it gets 3/4 of the way through and then iTunes reports that an unexpected error has occurred (-1) and the iphone reboots back into recovery mode. Trying to restore to the new 6.1.3 and I have attempted to flash with a separate download of the .ipsw and also tried it on a different PC, both running iTunes 11.0.2.26. There is no antivirus or firewall active. I guess there could be an underlying hardware fault and not just software as I suspected? Any ideas what it might be? Nick

ok, im sick of all of the users on the forums saying "oh learn how to use your device" "it is not ios, its the way you use your phone" i used to get 8-9 hours of usage on my iphone 4 before ios 6.1.2. as soon as i updated, that changed. im lucky if i get about 5-6 hours of usage, and its verrry light usage. i did not change any settings, install anything new or anything like that. i already know once i post this there will probably be 10 people telling me to stop complaining and that it is my fault for my battery draining. but i really dont care, i have the right to complain!
No Service Searching . iphone 5
I got my iphone 5 replaced by Apple yesterday via the express replacement service, but since i got it,im constantly getting the "searching" & "No Service" messages in the top corner.I've tried restoring and setting up as a new phone,which worked for a short while then i got the same messages.I've also tried the "restore network settings" but that didnt work either.any ideas what might be the cause? could it be a fault handset from apple?

iphone 4: Since Friday Evening i have not been able to make any calls or sms not even recieve them, i have tested my sim card on a different iphone 4 and i could make calls and sms, so i know it is not my sim card. i have phoned up my carrier which is t-mobile and they have gone through all the troubleshooting steps with me and have not worked?, i have full signal most of the time and i can still use my unlimited internet data?, i think it maybe a fault with the iphone or i have touched a setting on my phone, there is no scratches or dents or even cracks on my phone? i have not dropped it either. Does anyone know what this problem could be? i am totally lost with out my phone and in need of desperate help!
iphone 4s deleted notes calendar items
Why does iphone delete notes or calender items? More importantly, how would I accidently delete them and is there a way to restore them? this happened with my calander items a month ago. All of a sudden my appointments for the future and past were gone. I got them back by restoring it (I THINK.) After the fact I realized icloud was free and now use that as a back up for my phone. Then again today I was going to delete an item on my note and ALL my notes were gone. I don't understand how it could of been my fault though. When you open the Note app I had 9 different 'threads' I will call them. Within each thread I had more 'notes'. I was deleting one note from a thread and all of a sudden all my threads were missing by two. I am not sure how I accomlished this, but Notes was not set up in my iClould and I don't know how to get it back. My issue I know, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My directors iphone 5 overheats while being in normal state (not charging), it gets extremely hot, message appears on the screen saying that iphone overheat and it switches off. Any ideas? Is it the ios 6.1 fault?

Defective Speaker Module in iphone 5
I like my Iphone5 but I've already had two of them due to defective speaker modules. The symptoms are that your external speaker will begin to crackle and fail and you won't be able to hear conversations well or music. Then, the speaker will just stop working. You can still listen to music and use your phone using the headphone jack and earphones but there will be no SPEAKER function. this is a known issue with the Iphone5. Here is how to remedy it: 1. Make an appointment on line with your nearest Apple store for the GENIUS BAR. 2. Bring your receipt when you go and make sure you have backed up your phone to the Icloud or to your home computer BEFORE you go in.3. Make sure you know your Apple ID and password because you'll need it to log in to your new phone.4. They will either replace the faulty speaker module with a new and improved version OR they will give you a new phone. I am a Verizon customer so I sent my first phone back to Verizon and they sent me a new (refurbished phone). It only lasted a month and that speaker gave up the ghost. I made an appointment with Apple and they diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. They were out of stock in Albuquerque of the speaker modules so I got a brand new phone with a new and improved speaker module. If your speaker has stopped working, don't bother with any of these tips and tricks, just go to APPLE and let them figure it out. They'll stand behind the product and fix it or replace it. Hi I have an iphone 4s running hot, I have followed the process's on here (backup and restore) and starting a fresh on the phone and still have the same issue. I have taken it to a local mobile phone dealer who has changed my battery and it still has the same issue, my battery is running hot like an application is constantly running. I am now booked into the Apple store next week Monday. I wanted to know, will this invalidate my warranty if I tell them I have changed the battery as I assumed it was a battery issue. It was changed by an approved phone dealership who is an accredited company for Nokia and Samsung and also do iphone repairs/replacement. I don't want to walk in there and them assuming the battery has been changed so they wont touch the phone now and say it is my fault. Thanks
Why my iphone give me this error this accessory not supported by iphone on my iphone 4
Just yesterday went to my local Costco and bought myself a Logitech docking station and it was a great deal. On the side of the box it lists the devices that it will support. The iphone 4 is listed. When I hooked it up and plugged my iphone 4 into it. this error come up "this accessory is not supported by iphone". First, I was thinking what a way to get customers to buy and end it will end up not working. Buyer Beware. Apple should give us a update that will fix this software error on our iphone's. There are millions of iphone's out there and not having any problems using accessories and docking stations. Not fair to the rest of us out there that want the same benefit to the iphone.
iphone not making calls
I have a iPhone4 on the three network. When i dial a number and make the call, it can take up to about one to two minutes before the phone either says 'Call failed' or actually dials. And sometimes when I give up before it calls, I click 'End Call' and it gets stuck on 'Call Ending' for a while. this all started a day ago .i have reboot the phone but it is still doing the same i have found that if i turn off the mobile data it works ok .i phoned up three and they said they is no fault in my postcode .can you help .?thanks
my battery or charging port broken for iphone 5
i just went through my third charger this month for my iphone 5 and i have had it! i just got this brand new straight from apple charger today and i plugged it in and it was charging fine and guess what? i unplugged it and plugged it back in and it wasent charging and no matter where i plugged it in around the house it wouldnt charge anymore and that was it my phone wouldnt charge from the charger anymore. im starting to think this is my phones fault and not the chargers. fault with Notes App iphone 3G
Very recently, I started to see some of my notes on my Notes App on my iphone 4GS being duplicated, and when I deleted the duplicate, both disappeared, and an odd empty gap was left between the previous and subsequent notes. The problem then seemed to go away, so I put it down to some glitch that I didn't need to worry about. However, it has just happened again, and only this time, having closed down and restarted my iphone to see if that might clear the problem, I can't scroll down my Notes atall - I can open and read any of the Notes appearing on the first screen, but if I try and scroll down to subsequent notes the the Notes App just crashes. What might be happening here, and how can I fix this?

i updated the operating system 3 days ago. Since the update the wifi does not work. when you try to turn it on , there is no possibility since the cursor is light grey. then 4 of my applications can no longer be opened , they crash.I called the apple service and i was told that sice my warrenty had expired by 20 days they could no longer help me.!!!!what the f...k.... i install your update and it sends my iphone haywire and now its my fault.The guy did agree with me so he told me to force a new installation and i installed the factory settings. I've already posted on another question but my issues seem to have arised since installing 6.1.2 last week. I have been to the Apple Store but, I am a bit hesitant about putting it in for repair as they said it would cost me Hong Kong Dollar (USD193) 1,500 if it's a hardwear fault rather than a software fault. It seems based on the consensus in these forums it is a software issue. Would like to know if anyone has had any luck in fixing it. I've tried everything suggested on these forums, and have had intermittent success....but my iphone stops working !after a short period of time - Very Frustrating!
Adidas Micoach Connect for iphone 4 error this accessory not supported by iphone
I just bought the entire Adidas Micoach running trainer, including sensors and the Adidas Connect adapter for iphone 4 (iOS 5.1.1). When I insert the Connect adapter, I get an error that says "this accessory is not supported by iphone". I have tried everything I can think of, including restarting the phone, re-installing the software, cleaning the connection port on the phone, etc. Nothing seems to work and I can see from several other forums that many other people are having the same problems. I have tried the adapter on another exact same phone, and it works. So the problem appears to be my iphone. Adidas told me they cannot help since the adapter works on the other phone. Can someone please help, I would really like to use this device with my iphone?
Charging Not Supported With this accessory iphone 4
I have an iphone 4, and it's having a charging problem. Whenever I plug it in, it starts charging, but after a bit of time it switches to "Charging is not supported with this accessory". However, after numerous times of unplugging and plugging it in, it eventually stays on charge (this is usually when I decide to leave it on, and not take it off in case it stops working!). Some things I need to mention before you say anything: - I have tried blowing into the port, and it is clean. - I recently got a charging dock (this problem did not arise until about a week of using this) - I used my phone to FaceTime somebody in the bathroom whilst having a bath, and a bit of water (literally a minuscle raindrop) splashed onto the phone. this problem arised on the very night of this event! So I suspect water damage, but I would rather look into this more before trying anything costly!
help bent iphone 4
i have a iphone 4, which over time has bent due to its battery heating up like crazy causing the metal bezel to bend over time, the front and back is shattered becouse of this, it didnt really bother to much until last week it kept saying "no sim"?? so i restored it to ios 6.1 from itunes. now its stuck on the activation screen. i called up apple care and they made me do a full restore again while on the phone to them but still no luck stuck on the sim activation. the women from apple care told me i had 2 months warranty left and my iphone had a hardware issue and booked me a appointment with the genius bar. i wanted to know if the iphone being bent will affect my warranty? as it was not my fault????? thanks
Been fobbed off loads with this phone iphone 4
I have been back to bluewater about my phone 5times due to faults. I had sim stuck in my 1st replacement then I had no silent mode on the 2nd and the 3rd phone I was dropping calls and the home button sticking. this still happens. I then went back after Xmas with the same fault and was told there is no fault and this was just software issues. I then asked how long my warranty was left and that I was not happy with this and they said not long about 2weeks I think this is now up. But I have had problems from day 1. I was told by a manager that the iphone 4 was rubbish and now old and can't cope with the work load, I stated that the phone was less than 2months old and I had no problems with the original until I dropped it and smashed the screen. I have also since had a problem with the camera not working correctly. And now I have noticed that the sound does not work on text tone. And the vibration also doesn't work. So I am getting txt then not realising. I have to travel 30miles there and back every time I take my phone into the shop to get told this is software, I think this is an excuse to not sort the problem. I need to bring this phone back because of sound. If you could please get back to me on this it would be great. Lloyd
Apple staff bricked my phone iphone 4
My wife went into the Chadstone (Victoria - Australia) shop today due to her iphone's (4) touch screen playing up. The phone was still quite functionable, in regards to expectations of a smartphone but became frustrating when the touch screen stopped working. There was a workaround for this (locking the screen then unlocking the screen) but was not an ideal fix, considering we were paying for a fully functional phone.Prior to going in, last night I ensured that all here apps and iOS were up to date, to ensure there wasn't and easily fixed software problem causing the issue. She was served by a staff member, who after examined the phone advised that there didn't appear to be a hardware issue so she would need to take it out the back to get the software checked. this was all that was explained to my wife, so she let the staff member take the phone to be checked.My wife had no issue handing the phone over as about 8 to 10 months ago she experienced an issue with her original iphone 4 and after a check (at the same store, again out the back) she was given a new phone a few minutes later due to the phone still being under warranty. My wife returned to the store about 30 minutes later after being told to wait 15 to 20 minutes, to verify what the problem was. Aft waiting 20 minutes she approached a staff member because no one had followed up with her regarding the phone. The staff member sought the initial staff member who had helped her and the staff member went out the back to check. The staff member returned and advised her that they had attempted to check the phone but for a reason (not explained) the phone and gone into panic mode and was unserviceable.My wife was offered a new phone for $150, as the warranty had expired or to come back another day to follow up on possible solutions. Having to pick up my son and due to not being that tech savvy, my wife opted to come back on a later day. After explaining the situation to me, I called the Chadstone store later that night to follow up on the situation due to the poor customer service.I was able to speak to the manager at the time, Joe, and after explaining the situation, I outlined my issues: 1. As my wife previously had a defective product, at no fault of her own, that was within warranty and it was replaced, why didn't the warranty begin again when she was given a new phone? Which later turned out to be defective as well. 2. Before handing over the phone, no attempt was made by the staff member to warn my wife that the phone was not covered by the original warranty, even though it was a replacement phone for a defective phone. 3. Before handing over the phone, no attempt was made by the staff member to to warn my wife that the phone could possibly be made unserviceable. If this was the case, I had pre- warned my wife that if there were any technical issues to contact me and I would advise her on what to do. 4. As the phone was functionable prior to the staff member taking responsibility for it and upon return was not functional AT ALL (read bricked), this was completely inappropriate. I explained that my wife relied on her phone for advice on our baby son. Joe acknowledged the issue but advised that they could not be accountable for the issue because if we were running old software and they had to restore it and run new software, then this was a possible outcome. I confirmed with Joe that the night before I had ensured I had updated all the apps and iOS, to ensure that these were not the causes of the issue. I also confirmed that my wife had not been advised of any possible issues prior to handing over the phone. If she had, she would have called me to confirm and I would have told her not too as it was not a serious issue.I advised Joe that this was not really appropriate customer service and I would jot be looking to pay $150 to resolve the issue and we were not at fault. Joe advised that he could not guarantee that we would not have to pay something but confirmed to come in and I confirmed he would be working the day I would be coming in. Surely based on the history of the issue, Apple are at fault here.
iphone out of warranty
My iphone 4 has gone out of warranty by about two weeks and there is suddebly a fault with the camera where the view is all blurry. I have been into my local store and they won't help. I feel this is harsh given that I am just out of warranty. When I purchased the handset from Vodafone, they did not mention that I could take out extended warranty cover. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
iOS 6.1 killed my battery iphone 5
So, since ‘upgrading’ my iphone 5 to 6.1 on Monday, my iphone has pretty much become useless. Any attempt to get through the day and I have to turn off Bluetooth, Siri, Wifi, email push, location… Pretty pointless having a smartphone really when you have to turn everything off without charging it twice a day. So today, the wife and I were going out so I decided to leave the phone at home sat on my bedside table, with 100% battery just to see what I'd come home to. No apps open. Email set to manual fetch. Here is the result when I got home. 15% battery life. 35 minutes of usage, 10hrs on standby. 0MBs of data downloaded, 0MBs of data uploaded. So my phone has been sat there for 10 hours, no apps open and the battery has drained by 85%. Last week I did two complete restores via iTunes. I deleted my IMAP email account and readded it. I've turned pretty much everything off and yet still, something is draining the battery. I'm playing dumb on Monday and taking it back to the EE store I bought it from with a screen grab of today's usage. I know it's a software fault but unless EE can convince me otherwise, I'm demanding a new phone. this time last week my iphone was the greatest gadget I owned. Today, it's a useless piece of metal and glass. I'm hoping that when you pay a large sum of money each month and are tied in to a contract for 24 months, you're entitled to demand compensation or at least a new phone. Watch this space.
