If i sync my iphone would jailbreak be removed

so i have my iphone 3g. model a1241, iOS version 4.2 .  its american, att. my cousin sent it to me from houston texas. i currently live in monterrey mexico. so my i took it to get a jailbreak for it to work here in mexico with the phone company TELCEL. so my doubt is that i want to download the app Voxer, and when i go ahead and download it, it says i need the version iOS 4.3  . but my other friend has an iphone exacly like me, but on his iphone it did allow him to download Voxer, how can i get mine fixed? i took it to the guy who fixed it, and i told him to put the new iOS version on my iphone, he said is not possible, if he does the new version that would delete the jailbreak. so i suggested to put the iOS 4.3 and then do the jailbreak but he said the jailbreak will be useless with the new iOS 4.3 . basically i wont be able to use my iphone to make calls and texts, it would just be a ¨show¨ phone. how can i fix it? what can i do?  so also my other question, is about itunes, how can i add music and videos, etc to my iphone through itunes? do i have to sync it, if i sync it would it delete all my apps, and the jailbreak?? is there another way to add music besides the itunes, cant i just simply drag the music file to the ipod in my iphone?? how can i NAME my iphone? HELP! i sorta new to the iphone, always have loved it, its so convenient and so user friendly. its like a perfect personal assitant. but i just dont know what do to, actually im scared to change stuff on my iphone since supposely, whatever i do i can risk erasing the jailbreak, maing my iphone useles... i really appreciate ur feedback my friends. sincerly ME, from MEXICO, Monterrey

To repair an iphone 3G with broken glass, I am looking for a replacement front panel assembly:http://www.ifixit.com/iphone-Parts/iphone-3G-Front-Panel-Assembly/IF137-010However, delivery to Germany is quite expensive, and there are plenty of shops which offer the assembly cheaper. Black Macbook VS iphone 3g

Hi,Just got an iphone 3g from a friend (model a1241)When I plug it in, iTunes says that iTunes requires version 10.1 or later.On Apple s site it says that iTunes 9.2 or later is ok for iphone 3g.I updated iTunes to 9.2.1(5)The thing is that I got a Black Macbook bought 4 years ago, and I cannot updgrade the OS (10.4.11 now) nor iTunes.Anything else I can try ? iphone touch screen DEAD

I bought an iphone and absolutely love it. But the other day I woke up, texted a couple people, and then left my house. After arriving at my destination I grabbed my phone and tried to unlock it and I couldnt. The whole screen is unresponsive. The home button and button on top both work though. I updated my 3G iphone through itunes to the 4.0.2. and now it deleted all my apps. When I try downloading them back to my phone, they dont work.....anyone know whats up? a1241 iphone OS 3.0

My iphone just died for no apparent reason.Sent a few txts this monring, checked battery (half battery left), went to make a coffee and get the lead to charge. Came back and it was dead.Any suggestions to as why ? Is this and issue to take up with the network provider or with apple? a1241 cant provide them as the phone is dead

Error-9812 iphone 3G

Hi, has anyone else encountered this error? Ive contacted Apple but have had no reply and a search hasnt encountered any similar errors. Im using an iphone 3G and upgraded my itunes last night to 9.2.0.61 in order to get the iso4. Its as though the phone has frozen and all I get is an image of the USB connection for iTunes. Im using windows xp and tried this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925. Nothing. I tried restoring my iphone through this : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925. Nothing. When I connect to Itunes, it recognises an iphone is present, but that is it. I cant do anything and the USB connection image wont go away. I then subsequently get the -9812 error on my iTunes. I dont have another computer to try my iphone on. If anyone has encountered similar problems with the -9812 errors and more importantly solutions it would be nice to hear. Bottom of screen 12 inch from bottom not responsive. iphone 3G

Hello, I have an unlocked iphone with a screen that is partially non-responsive. The bottom of my screen, the area about 1/2 an inch above the bottom of the screen, is not responding. That area houses my phone, mail, messages, and ipod icons which I am unable to access. At times when I press one of those icons i am navigated to the next page of my apps and then nothing. I purchased the phone on craigslist second hand because I wanted to try it out before I commit to a two-year contract and a hefty price. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. eac a1241

Major issues after 3.1.3 update iphone 3G

Ive had problems ever since updating to 3.1.3 when the rest of you did back in Feb I think. Anyway, its getting worse.The battery life is short. I dont use wifi so I leave that off all the time anyway. And I know this has been discussed.Ive had a Call Failed message pop as I was talking to a friend. And nothing happened to the call. We continued to talk.Apps are running like crap.So I deleted the facebook app and that proved to be a major no no. As my phone locked up. I did the hard reset. It would start to a certain point and shut off. Then i got the plug it into itunes illustration. Thats when I got the news my phone was in recovery mode. So I did the restore and update. Lost everything that was on the phone. So I added the apps from itunes and the music etc. Only got half the photos back. No big deal. Things are getting weirder than this. I was on a 2 hour conference call just now and my battery percentage was 100 percent when I got off the phone. The little battery icon was all the way green. I checked a third party app and it registered 100 percent as well. So I tried yet another battery app and that also says 100 percent. There is no way it could have been at 100 percent talking for 2 hours continuously.Whats next?Does anyone have any idea if Apple is indeed looking to fix this? Okay I bought a kind of broken iphone 16gb from this girl (screen was cracked) so she got a new one... Ill admit the thing was jailbroken and all that but I was only going to use an an itouch because she took out the sim card. I updated it yesterday to 3.1.3 and I get No SIM card installed. Come on Apple... really? I received an email from Apple telling me about their new exciting product the iPad to my @me.com email address on my iphone. Well my entire email was composed of little blue box with question marks. Question about Credit and Apps iphone

This may be a straight forwarded -no you cant, as i know there would have to be quite intricate relations with apple and O2 over cash conditions (unless there is a simple way i am missing that skips that)However i was wondering whether there is a simple way preferably or a complex way if not to buy apps with credit because i get 300 free texts a month with the tarrif. And i only text so at the end of each month im left with an unspent £10.
