I can't recharge my iphone 4s dead

sorry for my English, I,m French... So my problem came yesterday, when I wanted charge my iphone 4S with my plug electric my phone told me not recharge.. and after a few minute my iphone was completed dead and now I changed the charger and I have no result... I can't open my iphone ... Itried reset (home and power during 10s) no result.... So help me for my problem plaese thank's for your answers

There seems to be a lot of people out there dropping their iphone in the bath so I thought I would share my experience of fixing mine.Firstly if its in warranty consult your dealer - if this doesn't help try the following: A lot of people say stick it in bags of rice / silicon, etc but here is a quicker, more reliable way which is far less likely to contaminate one of the connectors. You do not need any special equipment. Make sure phone is off (If you can still see the screen) - hold sleep and Home for 5 seconds and tap the red off button that appearsPop your oven on a low heat ( less than 100C) for 5 minutes.Wrap your phone inside a sock, doubled over a couple of times so the phone is well protected.Turn oven offPop phone into oven for 30 minutes or longer preferably You could use a hairdryer but be very careful to keep it moving to avoid any localised heat spots that could damage components. If the phone got really soaked you might want to jump down to taking the phone apart - if it is still full of water powering up or charging could result in further damage Let the phone cool and try to power up, if nothing happens check for any signs of water vapour still in the phone and repeat if present. Otherwise try charging and powering up Still no success? this step requires a very small crosshead (some need a 5star) screwdriver, don't compromise and try and use a larger one, damaged screws will cause you even more expense. Very cheap on ebay. Unscrew the 2 small screws at the bottom next to the speaker, slide the back up and lift away. Unscrew the very small screw holding the battery connector in place and pry up the connector (lift the side nearest the edge first). Be careful not to lose the screw or the small metal bracket under the connector. Use the plastic tab sticking up half way along the battery to ease the battery out (usual there is a small amount of glue on them). This will reset the phone (you will not lose anything but the phone will hopeful power up when the battery is replaced). This is a good time to try the drying procedure again to ensure there is no more moisture present. Reconnect the battery screw everything back in place and press the wake button. If this has not succeeded you may need specialist help to test more components.Good luck ( and I cannot stress enough - keep the temperature low when drying)

Strange Battery Behaviour iphone 5

Hi,I got this strange problem 2 days ago.I charged the phone 100% at 6pm and in the morning it was dead. Even when I pressed power button nothing happened (usually it blinks the dead battery) but this time - nothing.So I charged it again and watch and recorded: It drained 5% per 30min. that's 10% per hour! It doesn't matter if its 3g or lte or even air-plain mode. Same result.So yesterday I restored it and set it up as new. But the problem remains.  Strangest thing ever. I checked the info in iBackupBot4 and it gives me: CycleCount:77 DesignCapacity: 1430 FullChargeCapacity: 1375 - which is all normal!  So is there anything more that I can try?  Thank You.

Dying iphone 5

I have been having multiple problems with my iphone 5 and ive only had it for 6 months. I have been restoring it to factory settings on a regular basis however it still has been having problems (more and more frequent.      #1 Teathering. I have been having trouble teathering off of my phone. (i tried several devices to rule my macbook out of the troubleshooting, nothing works) No device picks up my wifi or bluetooth personal hotspot. My macbook does not even recognize my USB connection in network settings.      #2 My wifi on the phone is also a hassle. It has been becoming more and more intermittant, but rarely works. I have tried multiple networks with the same result.      #3 My phone has become generally slow especially for safari and mail. On wifi, they dont work at all. on 3G, and LTE, the phone has also become very slow and often won't load at all. As stated above, restoring used do fix everything but that fix has become very short term, and often hasn't been working at all. Can someone help me?

Loose and cracked home button on iphone 5

So I've had my iphone 5 for a few months now and today I noticed that there is a small crack on the home button within the little white square. Also perhaps as a result of this the button feels somewhat loose and makes a clicking noise when I touch the button without actually pressing it. I have previously dropped my phone but that was a while back and it was fine then. It still functions properly but after comparing it with my brothers iphone 5 there's is definitely a noticeable difference with the home button as mine has sunk in a bit and doesn't sit flush with the housing. It's obviously still within warranty and I don't want to pay for a replacement so will Apple repair the home button if I take it to them?

I have an iphone4.  The screen is cracked and the power button does not work.  However, that is not a result of me dropping it.  Since there is a hardware malfunction, can I get it replaced?

iphone 4s not working after ios update 6.1.3

I have an iphone 4s boxed, brandnew and unopened for a year not until March 2013, for a couple of days i have used it, worked excellent but after i have unlocked it through at&t and updated it to IOS 6.1.3 it went to re-activation mode again. Tried several times to activate it but no succeess. I went to an apple store to discuss the problem of the update and consequently the result it brought to my iphone4s but denied a replacement because it was passed the warranty period. I was offered a replacement (for a fee) of $200 but i refused since i believe i havent enjoyed the iphone for years, has not even dropped, water-damaged nor scratched. The manager on duty (Mary, Fairview Mall, Ontario) insisted that my iphone 4s has a growing software problem already and i just dont know of... I reiterated to her that the unit was working as brandnew just like many of my apple products i have.  I havent called the apple support telephone support though. What should i do now? Please help guys. I cannot take it paying another $200 for an iphone that was practically brandnew and went useless after the update. I have a record of the at&t authorized unlocking request.  Should i escalate the appeal to where? Please help.. Thanks a lot guys.

Big problem hits when I have to update an app. The requester shows upo showing my old email address and as a result no password will work. I have put my new email address into the iphone 5 iTunes and App Stores in systemn settings but the darn thing keeps using the old email address.

iOS 6.1.3 battery drain iphone 4S

Hello all, After upgrading to ios 6.1.2 i started to experience battery drain.I was losing like 5-6% every 5 minutes in the Settings app.During my test I had everything off and the brightness set to low (i already tried the obvious solutions like turning off bluetooth, 3g, fetching mail, turning off location services, resetting the phone, restore as new, taking out my SIM, airplane mode, turning wifi off, the battery is in good shape). This way i could get around 4/5h of usage So, today i decided to upgrade to 6.1.3 and was hoping to see a change.However, the problem still continued. the only thing that i could do at this moment is to let the battery run out completelyand recharge till 100%. Yet, I'm sure this won't solve the problem at all since i already tried this on the first and second phone without any satisfying result.This is my 2nd iphone 4s, handed the first one in after experiencing this battery drain for weeks, and im kinda starting to lose faith in Apple's ability after having read tons of threads on this forum and wasting 3/4 weeks trying to solve this issue. After reading this, do you think it's time for me to go and replace the phone again?

3g data connection on iphone 4s inconsistent

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari.  Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text.  Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result.  Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem.  Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset.  I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iphone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?

Latest iphone update crashes iphone 4

So Apple update tells me to update the phone to resolve Exchange issue (?) which will result in better battery life and less data usage. I've been running the latest IOs on the phone and itunes.  So I do. Now the iphone is completely dead. It wont boot. Indicating that it wants to be connected to Itunes. Itunes says it must be restored? It was working 100% until I said ok to the update. I don't want to restore as it likely will destroy data on the iphone.  Help me find a better solution! (and yeah right now Apple I am MAD)

iphone not charging-not cable problem

I've got an iphone 4 and it will not charge or sync at all. I first thought it was the cable, but I have tried 5 different cables and two external batteries - all with the same result. Also, these cables work on my roommates' iPhones and my iPod.   I tried to clean the dock connector on the phone with a compressed shot of air but it doesn't seem to have helped. Every once and a while, it'll pick up the cable and charge for a split second. It's now to the point where it is almost dead (2%) and I cannot charge it.   The weird thing is that it seems to pick up one of the cables (most of the time).  The red battery icon with the lightning bolt will show up, but then the red flashed three times and goes black - meaning it's not charging.  If I unplug it and plug it back in, it does the same thing.  I've also done that on the other end - unplugged the USB side and plugged it back in - the battery icon shows up and flashes again.  Any suggestions? I updated my iphone 5 last Thursday with the latest iOS software.  It immediately popped up with a message saying it couldn't get exhange mail.... which means calander and contacts too. Need to be constantly connected to Exchange for work.

VIBER Crashing on iphone 5

I have used VIBER on my previous i4 and than on my i4s with success.I have had my i5 now for 2-3 months and succesfully loaded and used VIBER again.Today I have been trying to use VIBER and the App is crashing. I noticed problems of other kinds since I downloaded the latest iphone iO6 Software 6.1The program will open and let me see everything. Than the App crashes and I have to restart the VIBER App with getting the same results.I deleted and re-installed the APP with the result that while setting up the App the program crashes.Please help?

iphone 4s 6.1.1 problems-Voda UK iphone 5

My original firmware on my unlocked 4s iphone was 5.1.1. On that firmware I had good call quality, battery life was decent (approx 2days) and generally the phone behaved itself. Then 2 weeks ago I upgraded to iOS 6.1 and I started gettting bad battery drain and the phone needed charging on a daily basis....  Also, there was no change to the call quality and the phone did not drop calls. Then yesterday I upgraded to 6.1.1 - What a mistake that was. Battery life is still as bad as 6.1 if not worse..... In 15hrs the phone is at 20% and has only been lightly used. More worrying is the call quality. For me, the call quality has degraded. I have twice now experienced a cross call! And on three maybe four occasions when I dial a number, I have experienced call break up so bad that I have had to end the call and redial. The call break up sounds as though one is in a tunnel and there are echos and the voice just degrades into unaudible interference..... My conculsion from this is that iOS 6.1 to 6.1.1 has fundamentally altered the way my phone performs and I am not pleased at all. Surely the performance of a phone should not degrade as a result of an iOS update? Apple, please kindly sort this out as it's embarassing....

i tried other earphones but the right earpiece is also not working, then i tried another earphone but it has the same result so i suspect that its not the headset but the phone itself help please

Placing too many items in folder has removed icons for my apps. iphone 3G

I've just attempted to put more than 12 items in a folder on my iphone 5 running 6.1 . The result is now I have apps installed but no icons or objects to interact with on the desktop of the phone. Any suggestions for fixing this?

Hardware error-iphone 4S Incoming calls get occupied-when free

This happens for many, but not all contacts trying to call me: They are getting occupied tone/signal.  The iphone does not ring or vibrate or turn on light upon incoming, but the "cold call" is registred in the log with time as "not answerd".  I have checked with the telcom operator - who claim everything to be OK with the sim-card and the network as a such. They recommended to turn the pone off and on again - with result no signigican improvement.I have lived with this error for some months - so it is not an incident.  Any idea of what the cause may be?

iOS 6.1 killed my battery iphone 5

So, since ‘upgrading’ my iphone 5 to 6.1 on Monday, my iphone has pretty much become useless.  Any attempt to get through the day and I have to turn off Bluetooth, Siri, Wifi, email push, location…  Pretty pointless having a smartphone really when you have to turn everything off without charging it twice a day.  So today, the wife and I were going out so I decided to leave the phone at home sat on my bedside table, with 100% battery just to see what I'd come home to.  No apps open. Email set to manual fetch. Here is the result when I got home. 15% battery life. 35 minutes of usage, 10hrs on standby. 0MBs of data downloaded, 0MBs of data uploaded.  So my phone has been sat there for 10 hours, no apps open and the battery has drained by 85%.  Last week I did two complete restores via iTunes. I deleted my IMAP email account and readded it. I've turned pretty much everything off and yet still, something is draining the battery.  I'm playing dumb on Monday and taking it back to the EE store I bought it from with a screen grab of today's usage. I know it's a software fault but unless EE can convince me otherwise, I'm demanding a new phone.  This time last week my iphone was the greatest gadget I owned. Today, it's a useless piece of metal and glass. I'm hoping that when you pay a large sum of money each month and are tied in to a contract for 24 months, you're entitled to demand compensation or at least a new phone.  Watch this space.

I have an iphone 5 and the battery life is very very poor with hardly any use I need to charge at least twice a day. Mosy of my apps are off and yet the same result. Alongside my iphone 4 it is no match at all.Can the batteries be replaced ?

I know other iphone 5 users have experienced it - when there is a bright light source in the picture, a green dot will appear in the viewfinder and pics - a result of a reflection or flare or something in the lens.  I want to know if this was a defect that has been corrected, and if so, will an exchange for a new iphone 5 fix this?  It didn't bother me until I went on vacation - everytime the sun was in the shot the dreaded green dot appeared in the lower part of the frame.  Argh!

Apps won t download on iOS 6.1 iphone 3G

Hi, I have recently updated to iOS 6.1. I am not sure if this is related, but for some reason I can't download large apps (I'm on wifi and the connection is super fast).At first I was trying to update 2 games I have on my iphone 5, and it didn't download. I thought this was a result of me getting in and out of range. Anyway, I have deleted those 2 apps, hard reseted the device, and tried to download a fresh copy. It still doesn't work. I have even had my network settings reseted to no avail.Smaller apps usually updates fine, even though the app store seems a but slugish in general. Any ideas?

Solution for battery issue on 3G usage iphone 5

Everybody, if you want a simple n definite solution for 3G usage, here's the method.According to apple, 8 hours on 3G usage. I believe the term of usage means actively browsing or anything that keeps your 3G sending n receiving data.Here's the simple way to test the result. Double tap home button, end all task.Have your 3G on, u may use safari or Facebook to do the test, if FB, just keep scrolling down and keep de data run. Same goes to safari, continuously surfing and see how many % drops. I've run through this test with all i5 user regardless ios 6.0.1 to 6.1And the result was 1% drop every 2min +/-Simple math - lets make it 3 min so 100% x 3min = 300 min so approximately 5 hours 30min or so.Having said that, it was 5hrs usage, not including 3G on in standby mode.In 6.0.1 the 3G in standby mode is fine, I don't get to notice the battery drop everytime I unlock de phone for useBut in 6.1, so far I tested was the battery drop 1% every 6min in standby mode. As for the wifi, it does fix the sudden network drop but the poor coverage remain. iphone can't restore error-1 at last second with iphone 4 GSM

Hi all. I've already tried asking this elsewhere, but haven't really had much luck with help other than "it has to be a hardware issue". So, here goes. Note: it is far out of the warranty date, plus it's physically damaged.  I have an iphone 4 (16, I think) that was working aside from cracks in the screen. I saw it working a few months ago and it was given to me (it hasn't been used since). When I turned it on, it showed the iTunes and usb cable (indicating it needed restoring) so I tried restoring it (invalid build error I think). I kept trying again and again but got the 16xx error a few times. I have tried two different computers, different OSs, (one that didn't even ever have itunes installed) and I keep getting the same -1 error at the very very end of the restore. Early on, I was able to get it to boot and get to a passcode screen but then it said the iphone needs to be restored after I unlocked it.  It's almost like it's restoring fine and then suddenly it doesn't verify at the end with apple's servers or something. My apartment's wifi goes through an isp with security of some sort, I'm sure. Could that be an issue? I feel like it almost restores it but then it fails right at the end. Here is one of the logs--this one is the latest -1 error. It is abridged since most of it wouldn't fit. Cant download apps on my iphone

I hope someone can help - I cannot seem to download apps from the app store. When i select install app and type in my ID, it displays installing for a few seconds, then the bar reverts back to "free" as if I have not selected it all all. I have tried different apps with the same result - does anyone have any ideas why this is happening or how to fix?? I have a 4s and its all up to date

Charger smell iphone 5

My friend has a car charger and an ac to dc adapter so he can use his car charger in an ac wall out let. Unfortunately his ac to dc car charger to wall adapter has a a 12v ac to 5v .5 amps rating and his car charger uses 5v 2.1 amps; needless to say it fried his ac to dc adapter and he asked me if his iphone 5 will be ok. I checked out the phone and it seems to work ok, but he is concerned if there are going to be any long term issues due to this. Since I lack any real knowledge in electronics in terms of volts and amps, I am asking for your help in this matter. Will his new phone have any problems as a result of this? Why or why not?  I appreciate any help that is offered to put his concerns to rest.

2 iphone s one iTunes account

When my son was yonger I had an iphone and gave it to him then got another iphone for myself. Both phones used the same itunes account and it was not really that big of a deal at the time. Now he has a 4 and I have a 4s. Since then he has been buying apps and music on the itunes store. Now that he is in his first year of college he got his own iTunes ID and as a result when he tries to paly music or use apps under the previous account (my account) he can not use them. The apps are really not a big deal but he had purchased a significant amount of music. How can I get the music he purchased over to his new itunes account (ID) or at least on Mac? I'm open to suggestions.

Here is the result : (Sorry for fingerprints.)(6.0.1 to 6.0.2 updated during this battery life via 3g.)  ----- Advices :1) Turn off auto-brightness.2) Turn off Bluetooth.3) Turn off Wi-Fi or Cellular Data when you're not using it.4) Turn off Location Services.5) Turn off iTunes & App Stores & iCloud matches while there is nothing new to sync.6) Turn off Siri.7) Turn off Mail-Push and Fetch. + For users who is gonna say that "Turn-off iphone too." : I used most of things on the phone. Took pictures, scanned some pages, whatsapp'ed, found direction via navigate while using Siri, downloaded and also synced over +20 apps etc.My saying is use it effectively. (Just when you need it.) I hope it will be helpful.

Why did my available app update disappear from app store iphone 3G

A few weeks ago, I had an update available for one of my iphone apps that I chose not to download since it was said to have bugs.  As a result, I had an outstanding badge app icon.  Just today I realized that the alert was missing.  At first I thought I might have accidentally updated the app when I synced my phone last, but when I search for the app in the app store, it still gives me the option to update (I've included a screen shot below). It just no longer shows an available update under the update tab (see second screen shot)  It's not a huge deal at the moment since I don't want to install this update, but I'm afraid the problem might continue with future updates I want to install. Any ideas? I restored my phone from an icloud backup a few days ago, but once the restore was complete, the update alert still showed correctly, so I don't think that's the problem.

Bricked iphone 5 error code-1 My Story

Around 5am this morning I picked up my phone to look at the time and noticed that it said 'searching.....'  where my carrier name should be, normally I get great signal in my home.  I didn't think much of it and went back to sleep.  When I woke up two hours later it still said 'searching' so I toggled airplane mode with no change.  I then powered the phone off with no change, next I did a hard reset by holding the power button and home button till it shut down.  Same result.  'searching.......' forever.  I then plugged my iphone into my computer and loaded up itunes, it correctly identified my phone then asked me to backup and update it to 6.0.2 firmware.  Thinking that this may clear whatever bug may be affecting the 3g radio I accepted and started the process.  The phone backed up without issue (thank goodness) but then as it was about to complete the firmware update it threw a -1 error back.  Multiple re-attempts at restoring did not work.  The iphone now just displays the 'connect to itunes'  screen.  A few minutes of searching revealed that it was most likely a hardware issue.  This phone has been babied, kept in a simple, low profile case, never dropped, no moisture whatsoever has touched it.  It really ***** that this would happen out of the blue like this.  Apple is taking care of me though, with no Apple retail shop anywhere close to me, they offered to cross-ship a new phone to me. I don't mind the hold on my credit card.  Should be here just after christmas. 

App Store s purchased list reset itself iphone 3G

Hello,  Yesterday, I downloaded a new app (TuneIn Radio) on my iphone 5 (iOS 6.0.1), when the app was being installed, I tried to move it. Somehow, it created two copies of the app icon, and I was not able to remove the other copy. I tried to remove the app, as a result, one of the icons was gone, and restarted the iphone. After the restart, the other copy was gone too. Then I went to App Store to see my purchased list, and I couldn't see the apps I purchased before. Is there something wrong with the App Store?  - Purchased a new app, checked the purchased list again. I can see the new purchase, but not the old ones. - Updated to 6.0.2. Still no luck. - Tried to sync with MBP. No luck. - Checked the purchased list from iTunes (on mbp), I can see the old apps there, but not the new one (the one that I purchased after this situation).  Any ideas?

iphone 5 could not be restored Unknown Error-1

Hi, Everything was going fine with my phone today until I noticed I had no signal for a while...  Went through the usual process of airplane mode on and off...  turning it off and on...  reseting it...  waiting a bit longer.  Then eventually after a few hours with out signal I synced it without result.  Then without it being fixed I decided to restore it when the Unknown Error (-1) message appeared.  I tried this on two separate macs of mine with the same result. I now have the start up screen on my phone and iTunes says my iphone is in recovery mode. I guess the reason I'm here is to ask if anyone knows any other possible solutions or do I now have a brick on my hands? Thanks.

iOS 6 Bug with Facebook events in Calendar iphone 3G

So I'm not really sure what to do with this information so I'm putting it here. Just updated to iOS 6 (flawless install) and was playing around with the new features when I came across something extremely odd. In the official calendar app, you can now see Facebook events that you have been invited to within the calendar itself. Upon opening them, you can see info about the event with a button at the very bottom that says "View on Facebook." This is really cool, but therein lies my dilemma., When I select "View on Facebook," my iphone automatically launches a game I have installed called "Supersonic" (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/supersonic/id431087511?mt=8). I have tried this on multiple events on the calendar and the result is the same. When I click the button, it launches Supersonic. Only developers can log bugs with Apple, and thus I am here on the forum talking about it. It seems like a pretty big bug, but I'd imagine that it would only happen to those with Supersonic installed on their device. I guess I'm curious if anyone else might be able to replicate this issue (the app is free and it's actually pretty fun). Also if anyone has suggestions about what to do with this info, I'm listening. Thanks!

iphone 5 problems with LTE force closing apps siri and closing apps.

I got my iphone 5 about 3 weeks ago, and it ran really smoothly out of the box. I hooked it up to my computer and began to restore from my previous ipod touch backup when I stopped it from syncing. I saw that it completely copying my ipod settings (homescreen and all), so I then changed some of the sync settings (only sync checked items, don't sync movies, etc.) and let the iphone and computer do their thing. When it was done, I had to delete some bookmark apps on the homescreen and all of the pictures iTunes synced over from my old iPod. After I took everything off that I didn't want on the iphone, I redownloaded the apps I wanted, and everything went hunky dory.  Then, I experienced my first problem. The weather app had trouble getting the weather for my current location, and it had nothing to do with the LTE of wifi network. I was able to get the other cities on the app, but it just wouldn't get my current location. It then began to work after a day or so. Either way, it wasn't a big deal to me. Then, a couple of days later, I was trying to call my friend while listening to a song by holding the pause button on the earbuds chord and waking siri up. I heard the noise that siri makes when she wants to listen to you, but then it turned off without letting me talk. This happened 3 or 4 times until I manually turned the screen on and called my friend. I then began to experience apps closing out of nowhere, which is so unlike the iphone 5 because the chip is so fast. I was only running 2 apps in the background and was browsing on facebook when it happened. None of the apps were heavy on RAM, so it made absolutely no sense why it force closed. Apps tend to close about 3-4 times a week. Another problem I just faced today was with the music app. I was listening to a song when it began to skip and studder. When I restarted the song, it didn't happen again, but I noticed that the songs I was listening to were softer than I remembered and began to get louder and quieter without me doing anything. I soft restarted the iphone and they were back to normal. This had nothing to do with the volume, as it was all the way up on the phone. However, the most annoying problem out of all of the issues is with the LTE. The speed is phenominal on Verizon (even faster than my wifi at times), but it sometimes takes a while to turn on when I come from an area where there is no service (in the subway tunnel) into an area with service again. It will take a while to turn on, and sometimes only the 3g comes on, which I then solve by going into settings and toggling the 4g switch off and back on again. However, there will be times where I leave my phone alone on my table for an hour or so. When this happens, the LTE gets stuck in off mode and I will not be able to go on the internet or use siri. It will still say LTE in the status bar, but I will not be able to get any cell service. Siri will say "Siri is unavailable", and making phone calls is also delayed. There is no way to fix it but soft resetting the phone, and everything goes back to normal afterwards. This is a brand new phone with the most up to date ios software. Can this all be the result of me doing a "restore from backup" instead of selecting "set up as new iphone"? Do these problems seem to be problems with the phone itself, or just with the software? I'm thinking it is the software, but I could be wrong.  Are any of these things, or similiar issues, happening to anyone else and did those of you fix it somehow? duplicate birthday entries iphone 4S

Some context: I have 2 devices here, an iphone 4S with iOS 6 and 3S with iOS 5 on it. I've configured on both devices my google account with email and calendar enabled. On the calendar I see two entries for one birthday. First entry is the one that iOS "sees" from the contacts and it is displayed with a present icon. ("Chris Van Beurden jarig")Next entry is one that iOS gets from gmail ("Verjaardag van Chris...")If I now go to my settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > My gmail account, and there I flip the calendar slider to off, and I confirm to delete the calendar from the iphone. I then slide the calender back to on. The result is that I now have 3 entries in my calendar for the same birthday: 1 entry for marked with the present icon and 2 other entries.   I now have like 10 entries per birthday before I found out where the issue came from (flipping the calendar on/off on the account). The strange thing is that on my iOS 5 device I only have the birthday entry with the present icon, flipping the calendar on/off on that device does not give the same issue.

Apple iphone 4s restore problem-1 on itunes on 'connect to itunes' screen

I just got a iphone 4s, its not new, but I tried to upload some music on to it on itunes, but it said it wanted a restore and update. So I clicked on the Restore button and it started to restore. However, on the very last stage of restoring, Itunes came up with an error saying there was something wrong and it read 'Error (-1)'. I have looked all over the internet and there is no mention anywhere of such an error. I have even taken it to two repair shops on the high street who kept it for a week each and with no result. I thought a solution could be finding a new motherboard, but it seems that I can only find them on ebay which means placing bids to get the item that i am not too keen on. Please help. Thanks:)

Changing color of iphone Numeric Keypad in IOS6

Good Day, A friend of mine is visually impaired and as a result some color schemes are better than others. She has an iphone 4. Under IOS 5 her phone keypad was white numbers on black keys which she was able to see perfectly. Now since she updated to IOS 6 it is black numbers on white keys. This is very hard for her to see. Is there a way to change the colors on just the phone keypad? The rest of the phones colors are fine. I am quite technical so I am willing to make any necessary changes to the phone. I am sure everyone who has recently upgraded their iphone to iOS6 has found out just how useless it is? I am so FRUSTRATED by just how many apps, that I use daily, crash!! Why do this Apple?
