Why are my notification on my iphone 5 so horrible

My iphone 5 has always been horrible in receiving any notification. I get no notification from any application or even the stock application. This is frustrating when I need these notification for my user experience. This mainly has to do with notification coming on my lock-screen. Facebook, instragram, and many other application gives no notification on my lockscreen and no sound to indicate any news. This is a problem that I've experience for a long time and its very bothering to see no notification pop up or sound. I've used to really enjoy apple before this issue. I used to believe it was just software issues but after the many updates, nothing was done to change this problem. At this point I am not satisfied with the product and how it performs.

How I set up push notifications on my iphone 4S using iTunes on my computer

Every time I try to go onto certain apps, a notification shows up saying connect to iTunes to use push notifications. No matter how many times I push okay the notification doesn't go away. As soon as I press ok this notification how's up right away. So when I do connect my phone to iTunes on my computer I don't know how I would set up my push notifications. Help me please and thank you.

My iphone shut off and will not turn back on

SO here's what happened,  I was texting a friend and listening to music on my iphone... Then all of a sudden I get this pop up notification that says "This adaptor is not supported" I didnt have my phone plugged in and then all of a sudden it turned off and will not start back up. I tried the following:Charge my phone for an hourPressed the sleep/power+home button for 20 secondsPressed the home button and plugged it in my computer while doing so Now with that said, I need to know the following:Is there hope for my Phone?And if I have to replace it, can I go to my cell phone provider-ATT and have them replace it ( I have insurance on it) because the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away.  All the advice the better!

Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Facebook Push Notifications not working on iphone 4S 6.1.3 and Macbook Pro OS X 10.8.3

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? I realy need notifications about messages on iOS and OS X.

I bought an iphone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iphone, why can't Apple help on this issue?  I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iPhones instead. iphone 5 spontaneously vibrates in silent mode.

When my iphone sits in silent mode, sometimes it spontaneously vibrates with no notification. There's nothing that shows any notification for mail, facebook, twitter etc. Anyone else having this happen to them??

Has had problem with iphone 4s battery not holding charged status

My 4S iphone would not sync although it would charge when i connected it to my computer. I  got help from an apple representative who walked me through syncing with icloud to get back my contacts.  My phone wil not hold a charge since then. Apple diagnostic said the battery was perfect??

How to remove Quota limit reached iphone 3G

In my notes, everytime I edit a note, this notification pops up as "Quota - Quota limit reached." and then deletes the current note I'm editing. This is rather frustrating, because I do have some important notes and everytime I go to use it they get deleted after this notification pops up. I did go through my notes and delete a bunch, but there are less that 15 notes and as you can see in the photo this account has 3 and I've definitely had way more in the past. Does the Quota extend to other applications as well?Thanks for the input!

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iphone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iphone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iphone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iphone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iphone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

Weather app showing wrong day and temperature iphone 3G

When I check the weather in the notification tray and in the built-in weather app it says it's Sunday and the temperature is 45 degrees where I am.  That's incorrect.  It's Thursday and 67 degrees.   I also tried weather for major cities and it's showing the wrong day and temperature for them as well.  I checked Yahoo Weather and that data is correct.  I restarted my phone and at some point it showed the wrong data for my town in the local weather page, but the correct weather when I manually added my town, but when refreshing it's wrong for both. There's a number of complaints on Twitter about this.   What's going on?  How can Yahoo's weather be correct, but the iphone's wrong since the iphone weather app uses data from Yahoo?

iphone 5 barely charges doesn't sync

Hey all, I have an iphone 5, obviously less than a year old, and am having a really strange problem. Two days ago, I was able to charge my phone, sync it, everything like it was normal.  Yesterday, it decided it won't charge.  When the phone is dead, and I plug it in it has the normal charging screen and will get to 5% like usual.  But then, there is no charging battery, and my phone charges SUPER slow.  For example, yesterday I plugged in my phone at 3:50pm with 1%, and when I unplugged it (never used it while charging) it was 9:15pm and 34%.  Continuing to charge it from then has resulted it up to 50% now.  When it's plugged into my computer (Windows 7 Professional), I get a notification that says the USB device has malfunctioned.  So I know from this and the very slight charging that it shouldn't be the cord, there is still communication between the two.   I haven't updated my phone to the latest settings (it's on 6.0.2) and I'm struggling to try to update it now.  I also don't want to Reset all Settings due to some of my photos and videos that I need to save and I don't want those deleted.   What do I do?  How do I go about fixing this situation?  It really shouldn't be a battery since it's a decently new phone.  It's been handled great and there is no damage to it and no drops.  Help!

Hi, I just upgraded to IOS 6.1.4 this morning no issues Upgrade went well. Now My Email Push Notfication is not working.  1. Bussiness Gmail Account - Configured as Exchange2. Hotmail Account - Configured as Exchange Both Account - Push is ON if some one send email i am not getting it. I have to manually open the Native Email client then i can see.  Restarted the iphone Twice.  Any one facing similar issue?

iphone 4s vibrate

I have noticed for the past few weeks that whenever I bump my iphone 4S or put it down on a countertop / desk / bed or really any surface with less than the most possible care, it will vibrate and show the bell with a diagonal line through it.  It isn't due to a notification.   Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  It seems to have been a recent onset. I run an unlocked iphone 4S on T-mobile in an Otterbox defender case.  This seems to be since the t-mobile update.

Hello everyone, I rencently purchased an iphone 5 from a person selling it on craigslist.  the iphone is an At&t model and according to the person i bought it from the device is unlock.  Is there anyway of telling if this is true without inserting a sim card for a different carrier?  Are those websites where one enters the IMEI number a safe way to determine unlock status?

My iphone 5 has been in store for what, 9 days. Getting impatient, my iphone had finally been recieved by Apple. Unfortunately, I was expecting an replaced iphone as my iphone had been completely destroyed by the post office. Battery life and unresponsive buttons iphone 5

Hi all, So just got two slightly paranoid questions, but as my iphone 5 is brand new I just want to be sure. Battery lifeSo I had a 3GS prior to purchasing the 5 and I just feel that the battery life is less than ideal. My battery lasts 1.5 days (with my turning off the phone when I sleep). Is this about right? Low to medium usage, i.e. chatting, surfing a bit, checking emails and social media with WiFi on and GPS off and most notification off and medium brightness and 3G turned on. Is 1.5 days right or should it last longer? I am pretty sure my 3GS lasted longer when I first bought it. Unresponsive buttonsI purchased the phone about a week ago. An iphone 5 16gb. I haven't dropped it and this far the only way I have charged is to let it drain fully and charge it back up to 100%. It has worked fine this far but today something slightly odd happened. The phone had gone to sleep and I needed to check something but the home button was completely unresponsive. I pressed it a number of times but absolutely nothing happened. I also tried the top button, again nothing happened. Then I tried holding the top button because I thought that I might have turned it off accidentally. Again, nothing. The little "you need to charge your phone" screen didn't even come up. I might add that the phone had 23% juice at this time. Then I tried to connect it to the charger and the moment I plugged in the phone it came back to life. It has worked fine since. My question is, can anyone explain this? Is the phone broken somehow? What could have caused it? As I said, I haven't dropped the phone at all, and I've only had it for about a week so this seems very odd indeed.

I am not getting LTE signal on my iphone 5

I have recently purchased a 4G/LTE sim card from my carrier (Mobily). The phone doesn't show LTE notification on the screen. It is stuck in 3G. I have checked all settings and even restored my phone but still it is stuck in 3G mode. My friend who sits in the office next to me just got his iphone yesterday and he is getting LTE signal notification on the screen.

No red bubble showing facebook notifications-help iphone 3G

My Facebook application will only show I have a notification if I click into the app.  I should be able to see that there is a notification with a red bubble that has a number in the top right hand side of the app on the home page.  If not, it defeats the purpose of not having to click into the application to check for updates.

Everything else seems to be fine apart from this. I dont receieve anything, nothing comes up in the notification centre, I have to find out if I get a tweet manually through the feed.  I think i have checked the notification centre and settings correctly. What s wrong with my iphone

Ok so, since yesterday afternoon, while i was on my facebook, it suddenly popped out that there's a problem with the connection blah blah blah, but it was still connected to the wifi, so I just ignored it for a while, until i want to use it but i can't, coz every app that needs wifi was just loading & loading and it took forever but i wasn't updating to the latest post like that.. I opened my tumblr, twitter, instagram, imessage and facebook, but it's stuck on the same last post from yesterday. It really bothers me, I reset the network setting for a couple of times, and nothing happens.  If you're gonna ask what carrier i have, It's MTS but i don't have a sim. Yet i can still use it like an ipod.  the push notfication shows on my iphone, like when it's locked and someone message me on fb or retweet something on twitter. Then when i do open that notification, and the app will load then it'll stop.  I also updated it to the latest iOS (6.1.3) a month ago.  What do i need to do??? Need Help. 

iphone Facebook Push notification won t save when click

Can't receive Facebook notifications since push notifications won’t save in the Facebook app. Every time I click one it just refreshes and it reads in the yellow top bar “Changes Saved” but it unclicks the notifications I selected, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thought it may be related to leftover data, so reset the iphone (home button and power button) to clear the memory and remove any residue.Did not solve.

I have a game that is not showing up in notification center, but it keeps using badge icons. There is no way to turn them off in the app either. How do i turn them off??

setting to show new voicemail on my lock screen iphone 3G

Is there a setting to show new voicemail on my lock screen? If I miss seeing or hearing an incoming message and don't check my voicemail manually, I miss many voicemail messages for long periods of time. Is there a setting that notifies you of a new voicemail on your lockscreen, or at least on your home page of apps?  A notification that stays there till you listen to the actual message?  Steve

notification Center not available linesblocks on screen . iphone 5

Hello, members and guests. I bnought an iphone 5 a few days ago. I'm not sure if this issue started since I updated my iphone the iOS 6.1.3 or the issue has been on it since I bought this new iphone 5. The thing is, I can't see the notification center, (when I slide my finger from the top to the bottom of the screen, nothing happens). Also there are some small blocks or lines, Here I add some screens I took with another iphone.  Screenshot 2: I have tried restoring the phone, but still can't fix this issue. Some times the lines are gone for a few minutes, then they appear again. Should I try something else or go to the store where I bought the iphone? Thanks in advance.

Cannot get pass Backing Up iphone part when updating from 4.2.10 Help

Hello! I have an iphone 4 that needed it's software to be updated to the latest version. I've downloaded the latest iTunes to my computer and connected my iphone to it. A pop-up prompt let's me know that there is a newer software version available to which I click "Update." After downloading the software, the prompts are letting me know that it's "Backing Up iphone." That is as far as I can get when trying to update. Usually the "status bar" will be slowly moving (letting you know the progress thus far) but in this case it doesn't. All it says is "Backing Up iphone," and that's as far as it goes.  My phone hasn't been updated and I am stuck at square 1.  I am not able to download certain apps because I need a the latest firmware. If I restore my phone, then try updating will it work? I'm afraid to do that simply because if I rid my apps will I be able to download them again? I don't understand why the phone cannot get passed the "Backing Up" part.  Please help.

problems with battery holding charge past 65 iphone 4S

When I first got my iphone 4s I would receive a notification when my phone would be at 20% and needed to be recharged.  Now my phone just automatically shuts off at 65% and will not come back on until I plug it up to charge.

Appered just from nowhere, small white squares on the top of a screen. Since then my iphone isn't responding to touch on that area for ex. I can't pull notification bar down or click high put buttons. Is there any possible way to fix it or do i need to replace the whole phone?

Why did my phone automatically reset iphone 4

I got a notification reading something like "Phone cannot make or recieve calls. Please connect to iTunes to restore to factory settings." When I tried powercycling it, it is now stuck on the "plug into iTunes" image. Of course it happens when I'm away at work. Any ideas?

4S with latest ios installed and there is a 2 in the circle on the APP STORE icon but entering the store when I tap update nothing happens! I can see there is a brief spinning circle along the top next to the wifi icon but no apps requiring update appear in the window. Tried rebooting, downloading a new app (works OK) but am unable to deal with this issue. Any ideas?

Find Friends Not working after iphone change

I recently had to swap my iphone 4s at the Apple store, when I got back I did a restore and all seems OK. The only thing is that in find friends, my friends can not see me. We have tried removing friends/ Follows and tried again, they get the invite and I get the notification they have accepted, but they can not see my location but I can see theirs, any ideas? TIA
