Hi  Since i have updated my software version of iphone 4S to 6.1.3 following functions stopped working :  1. WiFi (even i am putting correct WPA key still says incorrect pass key, not connecting at all to Wifi.2. Bluetooth is not working as well, it was working till yesterday with my car bluetooth device and now it cant pair with device. since i have updated the software it seemd like my iphone has lost all the passwords and keys stored in its memory.  Bluetooth symbol near battery only appears when you are in bluetooth option.Wifi doesnt connect automatically to network which are stored in my phone. When will Apple fix this issue as it is very annoying and hard to work with. I am disappointed that apple hasnt tested there new release properly, why everytime a new release fix one bub but create 10 others.  Please update me on if there is any solution available apart from freezer  Regards, A

Cannot get pass Backing Up iphone part when updating from 4.2.10 Help

Hello! I have an iphone 4 that needed it's software to be updated to the latest version. I've downloaded the latest iTunes to my computer and connected my iphone to it. A pop-up prompt let's me know that there is a newer software version available to which I click "Update." After downloading the software, the prompts are letting me know that it's "Backing Up iphone." That is as far as I can get when trying to update. Usually the "status bar" will be slowly moving (letting you know the progress thus far) but in this case it doesn't. All it says is "Backing Up iphone," and that's as far as it goes.  My phone hasn't been updated and I am stuck at square 1.  I am not able to download certain apps because I need a the latest firmware. If I restore my phone, then try updating will it work? I'm afraid to do that simply because if I rid my apps will I be able to download them again? I don't understand why the phone cannot get passed the "Backing Up" part.  Please help.

Just a few weeks into ownership of my new iphone 5, I realized there was an rattle sound near the top of the iphone 5 when you gently shake it or gently tap on the back near the camera light. This couldn't be normal, there must be an issue, so I made an appointment with the Genius Bar at my nearest Apple Store (33 miles each way), hoping they could identify and remedy that annoying rattle sound. After all, I did purchase Apple Care Plus. I explained the issue in detail and demonstrated the rattle sound to the Apple Genius. He said he never heard of the issue before, so he started examining my iphone 5 and quickly said he could not hear anything. I suggested maybe the background noise of the activity in the store was preventing him from hearing the rattle sound. I asked him to try listening for the rattle sound in a less noisy environment than in the public area of the store. He took it to the back where the techs work on equipment and was gone for about 10 minutes. When he returned, his first words were... "The rattle sound was normal, it's from the button on the top", "it's plastic" and said "it's within manufacturing tolerances and wasn't considered a problem". I was dumbfounded. I asked him to please explain to me how such a refined device such as this, with all of the hype and attention to detail and tight design specifications, could have a plastic button that rattles. That's kind of like building the most advanced spacecraft ever, and putting a plastic door handle on it. I asked if there had ever been a "rattle sound" like this known on any previous version of the iphone... he said that to the best of his knowledge, the iphone 4 and 4S used a top button made of metal rather than plastic and didn't have this issue. I asked if we could examine a few of the iphone 5's on display... we did, and discovered several but Not All of them, had the same rattle sound, again, he said it was normal. I asked why do some have the rattle sound and some don't? He didn't know why. Then he offered to replace my iphone 5, "if it was that big of a deal". He further explained if I wanted that, it would be a "one time only replacement" and no promise could be made that any replacement wouldn't also have the same rattle sound, and if it did, it could not be replaced again. I didn't understand why this rattle sound could even exist from one of Apple's new flagship devices. I'm not new to Apple products by any stretch, but this is my first iphone. I expected more. I expected a quality device, one that matches the level of quality and reliability of every other Apple product I have ever purchased. I felt let down. For the first time, I started to feel as if this device might have been rushed to market and maybe quality control wasn't what it once was...   At this point, I decided to test this "plastic button" to see just how loose it was. While holding the phone in my right hand (display facing down), I applied slight pressure on the top button (holding it still), and then gently tapped the back near the camera light, just as before. I was shocked! It still rattled! Being more confused, I asked the Apple Genius how it was possible for me to hold the button still, and there still had the rattle sound? He paused a moment, then said it was most likely the component that makes the phone vibrate. Still holding firm to the claim of it "was within manufacturing tolerances". I asked how could the source of the rattle sound suddenly move from the plastic top button to the vibrate component? He said that was a known issue and he knew of only a few iphone 5's having been replaced for that reason. I started to feel as if he was being deceptive the whole time. How else could he have come up with an alternative reason and suddenly recall a few phones being replaced. Hence the title of this post... "Rattlegate". I explained to him some of the reasons I waited so long before buying my first iphone. I asked if he seen Apple's Keynote announcement for the iphone 5? "Yes, of course I did", he said. Do you remember some of the claims from that Keynote wherein the following statements were made: Keynote Quotes:"what makes the iphone 5 so unique, is how it feels in your hand" "the materials it's been made with" "the remarkable precision with which its been built" "never before have we built a product with this extraordinary level of fit and finish", "we've developed manufacturing processes that are our most complex and ambitious"... and so on. For the most part, the Apple Genius remembered those lines from the Keynote, then he suggested I fill out a comment or suggestion on the Apple.com website, and once again offered a "one time replacement" of my iphone 5. I told him thanks for the offer, but I would pass for now, but would follow his recommendation of posting on the Apple.com website... and here we are... If you have an iphone 5 and it has a rattle sound, please let me know (IF) and (HOW) you might have resolved this issue. Thank You very much!

iphone 5 RARELY searches for signal. Useless.

Me and a friend have both noticed the iphone 5 doesn't bother searching for signal at all. We are both on different networks, both upgraded from previous iPhones.For work I move areas a lot so I pass black spots often.I have to toggle airplane mode many many times a day for the phone to start searching for signal.VERY FRUSTRATING. All I want is to pick up the phone and use it when I want!This is not a network issue.This is clearly a firmware issue and some prat has thought it was a great way to save battery. I would take it back to the 3store I got it from but the store doesn't exist anymore... well according to iOS 6 maps!!!! Sort it out!!Grrrrr

The changed my phone screen looks yellow.So, i requested again to change my phone.But, the engineer said it is not a reason to change the phone against apple's policy and this policy is described in the manual guide.So, i requested it to find this policy and engineer said "you can find the policy with the apple korea service engineer"I called to apple Korea and requested the policy. But, this apple Korea engineer said "i can not find your policy and i do not know the policy is described in manual"So, i explained this to Tuva engineer and he said "i did not said the policy about refusing reaper service for yellow color screen is not described in manual guide".He lied me in order to pass just the my questions. Also, when i gave some questions about apple's policy and why this phone can not be changed, he just said "becuase of apple's policy!!"I think if i have questions why i can not get the service, the engineer is supposed to explain why i can not get the service. iOS 6 WIFI Problem iphone 3G

Having problem with internet connectivity on WIFI - anything that depends on DNS for data whether it is a web browser or an app while using WIFI.  I call this problem "WIFI Lockout". This happens on iphone 4, ipad 2 and ipad 3 that has been updated to iOS 6. I am not talking about the issue of the missing apple page (day 1) or the inability to turn on/configure WIFI after updating to iOS 6. This is what i have discovered so far. You could be in the middle of surfing or using any app that makes data calls based on DNS (when you type google.com that is translated in the background so your device knows where to go - summary only) and suddenly you can go no where or do nothing! Sometimes conectivity goes trouble free for long periods, other times it is repetitive "WIFI Lockout". Yea sure, you can restart the WIFI connection, but WHO wants to CONTINUALLY do that? Interestingly enought the device is still successfully connected to the internet via WIFI, but DNS request fail to pass successfully from the iOS 6 device. Apple (or any curious iOS 6 user that wants to see my point), when this happens "WIFI Lockout" open up a browser before you reset the WIFI  connection and type type 74.125.227.144 (google) and then “go” (I tried both safari and chrome).  A google search page will come up and you will be able to execute a search (of course any link you click on will not work as it is dependant on DNS resolution). The above IP connection to google proves NON DNS traffic works, so the issue is not the WIFI connection to the access point that is the problem.  It is not an access point configuration/firmware or security protocol issue either because data does pass when the above steps are followed. I KNOW THIS IS NOT ALL OF THE PROBLEMS WITH iOS 6, BUT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM NOT BEING ABLE TO SURF OR GET DATA THE iOS 6 DEVICE IS REQUESTING WHILE ON WIFI.

Hi, i got an 4s that all the suddenly started to freeze and restart really slowly. not usabel anymore.I restarted a few times and after a while i uppdated it. no use.then i totaly restored via itunes from dfu mode, but i cant even get thru the starting guide when the phone is done with the installation.First time starting after install, ill slide to start "first time startin guide" and it freeze for 30 sec or so. then it get pass this poing. next fail is whenit asks me what wifi i want to log in to. ill select the one and it open a login window and then freeze completely. and this i have notice is EVERY time its time for numbers or alfabetics. instant freeze. I have seen many ppl asking about this problem, but no one got answers to it. hi all, just joined, so first of all, "HELLO" to everyone. my iphone 4 fell out of its case and landed face down, smashing the screen. the damage is really bad, and i can't use the phone any longer. iphone 4 Random Crash Black Screen of Death

Hi anyone, I bought an iphone 4 a few months back from the UK. After bringing it to my home country (Bangladesh), I used it a few days with no problems. But after a few days, it started crashing. Then the frequency of crash got high. And the crashes are very very random. Following are a few ways it crashes. 1. The screen gets distorted and starts fading and goes black.2. The screen goes black all on a sudden3. The phone goes to sleep and goes dead4. While booting (the silver apple icon) it dies. I am so frustrated with it. It never reboots with the crash (screen blacking out). It happens so often now that the phone is almost unusable. The restart is even more annoying. 1. Sometimes it starts booting just by holding the sleep/standby button for a few seconds.2. Sometimes it starts booting if I hold the sleep/standby button for long (10/15 secs)3. Sometimes I need to hold the Sleep/Standby + Home button for long time4. Sometimes it won't start what ever I do, once I tried the whole day even then it wouldn't start. I tried to reset the phone from iTunes and downgrade the iOS, I never could. Always 1600 or 2001 error. I could always upgrade. I reset it from within the phone once  Config > General > Reset > Reset All even that didnt work. I have accumulated all the crash reports. Is there anyway to pass it to the experts for analysis? I don't know what else to do, it's nearly impossible to go to uk now. Any help please? And also, I just have the box with me, I misplaced all the rest of the papers. If I do manage to get it to uk, can I replace it? Mark

Video out HDMI Component and Composite won t work on iphone 4.

Hello, For some inexplicable reason the video out functionality of my iphone 4 no longer works. I thought it might have been a cable issue at first, but I tested it on an Apple composite cable, an Apple component cable, and an Apple HDMI cable. As you can see, I have spent a lot of money on Apple cable products because I use the phone in both home and educational settings that have very different connection options. Now, the cable seems to allow audio to pass through the analog cables, but the HDMI functionality seems to be completely shut down, both video and audio. To be clear, I have already performed a reset and recovery, which did not correct the problem. The iphone was running iOS 5.1.1 before the reset as well as after. Interestingly, I tested a current generation iPod running iOS 5.1.1 on the cables and the video out worked, including confirmation that the Netflix app works. This is a sudden and disasterous failure for which I have no explanation. The phone has not been damaged or exposed in any way. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks,Jesse

Hi, my iphone 4 was stolen yesterday on the last day of my Holiday in Ibiza.It was on the O2 network in the UK, had a 4-digit screen lock on it, but I don't think the wipe after 10 failed password attempts setting was on.I think iCloud was installed on the phone as I'm sure I saw it listed in the settings on the phone but I haven't got an iCloud account.Almost certain the Operating System was iOS 5.0.1. I contacted my network yesterday & had my SIM card blocked & IMEI blocked, so from this I'm quite sure the phone is now unusable, unless they are able to run through as many pass code attempts as they want. (??) I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a way of setting up an iCloud account now & using it to remotely wipe the phone & send messages to it saying that it is stolen, or is this now not a possibility? Also if it is possible to use a new iCloud account to retrieve my holiday photos/videos (I am assuming this is a long shot)?I have all my other data in an iTunes back-up to restore to a new iphone when I can eventually afford to buy a new one.I still have another years monthly payments to pay on my contract, thank you theif. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks Lee.
