Newsstand Subscriptions. PLEASE HELP iphone 3G

Recently, I just sold my ipad fourth generation.  I know stupid mistake, but while the ipad was in my posession, I subscribed and downloaded three different subscriptions:  TIME, Newsweek, and Game Informer.  At the time, I had mistakingly thought that all newsstand apps were cross compatible between the ipad and iphones. IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO BE ABLE TO USE THESE MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS?  either by .pdf back up, or maybe by the real issues.  I paid the company to see their product,  the magazine, not apple.  It doesnt seem fair that ive paid for the magazines but now have no way to even view them without an ipad.  does anyone have any clues as to what i can do to possibly be able to recieve my magazines that i rightly paid for?  like i said maybe a back up, an app that will make them available, maybe a web site or a reader that i can use to view them.  It just does not seem right that a paid magazine subscription is only viewable on an ipad, when the iphones also have newsstand.  There has to be SOMEWAY to get my magazines....please please please please help me...the person who actually purchased the subscriptions is no longer with me, so being able to read them also has a sentimental value.  please please please will someone help me

My iphone 4s speaker no longer works

For a month or two, the speaker on my iphone 4s hasn't been working.  The phone is not in silent mode.  I have tried putting headphone mini plugs in and out of the jack (in case the phone was somehow in headphone mode, which it wasn't).    Speakerphone calls, the ringer, music, facetime, and safari videos are all silent unless I'm using headphones.  when this first happened, the sound came back on after a few days, but a day later it went away again and hasn't come back for more than a month.  It is not under warranty any more, nor do I have insurance.  I am hoping someone out there knows a solution so I don't have to deal with this for another 9 months until my contract expires. Thanks, William

Ive just updated to IOS 6.1.4 not sure if this is the cause but today when playing music through speakers and my headphones its really quiet. any way to fix this? and yes ive checked all volume levels. i also have a tone for new mail and nomatter if i put it one silent or no tone or change the tone it still makes this one tone. doing my head in. please help. thanks

hey i bought this second hand phone from a friend and this phone is locked by a korean carrier KT free tel, its currently running on IOS 4.1.so now i am thinking to use this phone on this IOS 4.1. but when i am downloading the apps from Itunes. it says a higher version of IOS is reqiuerd.so is it that applications for IOS 4.1 is no longer available on Itunes?????

My battery is discharged too fast, as the manual says i charged for the first time a couple of hours ago.. but in 3 hours has been discharged...now i have a 78% battery...without any use..no calls no message no games..i deactivated the 3g option...and im not using any app right now..no pics no music etc...may i need to contact support? this iphone is new..i buy this phone last week..

my iphone 4s volume isn't working

My iphone 4S volume isn't working. No sound when playing music. No ring or text message sound. If I try to turn volume up for ringer on side, the box appears, but no bar to show volume up or down. If I do a test ring in settings it works though. Silent switch is in the correct position. I tried a hard reboot (ignored the red slider). It worked a minute ago but then stopped again. It seems like it might have the problem when I'm trying to play music. Thanks! 

my iphone 5 has NO SOUND

My iphone was fine up until a few hours ago. Now the sound has stopped completely. It does not ring, alert me for texts, play music, or anything. I made sure that my phone is not on silent or vibrate, have restarted my phone several times, and have even reset the settings on my phone. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I want to start over iphone

So I got my iphone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iphone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iphone to ONLY my computer... when I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). Long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. when I do have my iphone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... Anything helps... Thank you.

iphone 4 loses 3G capability. Normal

Over the last 4 months or so, my iPhone4's download rate has progressivly slowed. WiFi is still working fine, but cellular data was noticably lagging with missed texts, slow applications, and generally slow browsing. Since then I have switched carriers twice thinking it was a problem with cellular service provider, but to no avail. This last week I have had no ability to connect to my service provider's data network, evident because that little '3G' icon at the top no longer appears in any part of the city I visit. I removed the protective case around the iphone thinking it could be an antennae issue, but no, still not working. Paranoid, I even checked to see that cellular 3G is turned on in the device settings; it is, and I felt stupid for even doubting that it wasnt.  Is it normal for a cellular phone's hardware to degrade? Could there be an enviornmental factor i'm not seeing?

Why don t I have an add button in my calendar iphone 3G

I think it was when I updated my phone to the first ios6 that I noticed that my calendar no longer has an add button. So I can't add events and I'm not sure why! If anyone can let me know if there's something I can do to fix it, that would be awesome.

Maps no longer giving transit instructions iphone 3G

I am very disappointed to find that I can no longer use my iphone to find public transit instructions using maps.  This was my go-to method of independent travel.  Now that I've moved to a city I just found out that maps no longer will find me busses!  I now have had to do research into apps, and use a combination of two apps as well as the metro system website to figure out a simple trip.  What used to be one step has turned into many steps. What was apple thinking with this change????? I'm living in Seattle and so far have not found an app that performs all the functions of the old iphone maps.

iphone 5 Battery drain when not using Wifi also gets hot.

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my iphone 5, if I am away from a wifi connection I experience high battery drain & the phone will sometimes get hot.Generally I am in the office or at home & the phone will be connected to a wifi hotspot, however yesterday I was out of the office in meetings etc, I didn’t have access to any wifi so used 3G data, I was in London in areas with generally good 3G coverage.  The battery went from 100% to 0% in 9 hours with what I would call minimal usage as follows.4 minutes worth of calls.25 received emails5 sent emails9 photos taken1 hour streaming music via Bluetooth20 minutes reading from news stand5 minutes in the facebook app5 minutes using the Maps app2 minutes viewing London Tube Map app  This appears to be a problem with the data receiving part of the phone as when I have access to wifi the battery life is generally fine.  I have had iPhones for about 3 years & never had issues like this. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

My iphone 5 wont play music through my headphones.

when playing music through the headphones that were provided with my phone, I would hear a crackling noise. Then it would shut off and pause on my phone. when I press play it doesn't play until I wiggle the hpeadphone jack. I put my headphones into my computer and It worked perfectly fine. So I deduced that it was a problem with my headphone port on my iphone. Any suggestions? Also I just got this yesturday so its in warranty.

my iphone 5 was today restored due to it getting buggy and as normal it was done with the latest ios 6.1.4. everything is fine except i can no longer use bluetooth. i can turn it on in settings however it never sees or can be seen by other devices/pc/mac/smartphones etc. any help would be greatly appreciated? thanks jason

iphone 5 Audio Port Issue

when I'm in my car listening to music from my phone with an audio jack it sounds great. But when I plug it in to charge at the same time you get a loud static noise. Does anyone have anything that might fix this? Also I think it's probably from the audio jack and the charging port being so close together.

when making call I can t hear person I am calling but they can hear me. How I fix this problem iphone

Hey guys, I can play music and hear it just fine, with or without headphones. when I press on the keypad I can hear the noise it makes, I can hear calls with my headphones plugged in, or when the speaker option is on, however, unless this happens, I can't hear the person I am on the phone with. I've tried restarting, resetting, earasing all content, and restoring it with iTunes and that didn't work. I've tried cleaning the ports with a toothbrush, or pressing gently on the microphone and that didn't work.I've tried calling with the headphone on, and taking them off in the middle of the call and that didn't work either. I am currently outside of the US so I can't go to an Apple store, so I am wondering if any of you guys have been succesful at solving this problem. Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "music" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iphone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iphone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iphone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. iphone 4s died at 100 wont turn on or charge even though it was charged.

I have been having problems with my iphone turning off at anywhere from 80-100%, in fact I haven't seen it anywhere near 50%or less in about 2-3 months. Sometimes it would turn back on if I press the power button or home and power button, and would show the same battery % as when it shut off, but would die right away again till I charged it. Sometimes it wouldn't come back on till I put it on the charger. Last night I took it off the charger when it was 100% and went to use an app right awayand it died still at 100%. I put it right back on the charger and expected it to turn right back on or at least turn on in 15-20 min. It has been on the charger sonce last night and still has not come back on, and yes it shows the lightning bolt like it does whenever it is charging, and shows no battery power. I have tried pressing the power button both on and off the charger, tried pressing the home and power button for 15 seconds, and even tried longer both off and on the charger, I have tried changing cords and the adapter, and different outlets, I have tried plugging it into the computer and it again shows the lightning bolt and low battery thing and itunes and the computer doesn't even acknowledge that it is plugged in. I'm confused as to what else I can try. Of course it dies after 1 year warranty is over.

My iphone volume buttons won't work but some volume no music iphone 4S

My iphone will not play any sounds, except for phones calls and my ringer. The volume will not work; when I press them the volume icon pops up on the screen, the volume won't change and the volume bar doesn't move on the screen. Also the volume control slider has disappeared on the locked screen music controls. What should I do? I don't want trade in.

I tried the remedies indicated in the instructions above however, my iphone still does not turn on. I keep getting the "charge battery" screen (and yes I let the phone sit on the charger for a lot longer than 10 minutes). Any ideas?

Can't get phone to turn back on iphone 4S

I was trying to download music on ITunes and my phone was plugged into the computer, then something popped up asking if I wanted to download a new software and I did. It downloaded and then my phone turned off. It won't turn back on but the screen has a  picture of an auxiliary chord and an arrow pointing towards the ITunes icon. So I plugged it back into ITunes and it still won't turn on and that picture won't go away either. I have tried holding down the lock button & home button at the same time for 10 seconds but that didnt do anything either. I have no idea how to get it back on. PLEASE HELP

At home I have two Macs, one for work and another which acts as a sort of entertainment hub storing all my music, podcasts and videos as well as being for the family to use. Is it possible to sync my one iphone to both Macs, with the work one just syncing things like my contacts, emails, calendars and apps while the other Mac would sync just the podcasts and music to the iphone.Would this cause any problems and what is the correct way to go about this? Thanks for any help, tips and advice.

Podcast app volume too low iphone 3G

I'm using the official Podcast app since its been introduced and even with various updates inc the one a few weeks back the volume level at max is often too low. Other audio and music is not a problem, but if I'm listening to a podcast via the app on a train or in a crowd the background noise makes its barely audible. Is there some way to boost the volume via some settings?

Headphones not registering when I plug them in iphone 4S

Hi there, I have an iphone 4s and have a problem with my headphones. when I plug them in, the iphone doesnt register that they are there and plays through its own speaker rather than the headphones sometimes. I have tried with several headphones so I know it is the iphone. It works sometimes and doesnt work some other times. And when it does work, it sometimes  cuts off mid song and reverts to the iphone speaker. Has anyone else encountered this? Many thanks

My iphone 5 has 9%battery life left and keeps turning itself off. If in leave it 5 mins it turns back on fine. 4 seconds after putting in my pin it turns off again.It's been turning off at 9% for a few months but not to this extent.It also has tendencies to go from 14% straight down to 1% just from sending a text message. But after turning it back on it shows as having 9%.  Does anyone have any suggestions other than getting it checked at apply which I intend to or throwing it against a wall?

So I tried to put the new card into the device, but I can not use because it needs to be unlocked! Hello! So i have recently disconnected my att phone service and for a few weeks i have still been able to text and communicate using wifi which allowed me to use my old number. Today i was told about a phone service by the name of h2o which is ran through att but i was unsatisfied with not being able to use normal iphone functions so i replaced the new h2o sim card with my previous one. Upon doing so i was directed that iMessage was "waiting for activation" and no longer gave me the option to use my previous number like i had been doing before. All i want is to be able to communicate with people using my number like i was before, and i would like to know if there was a connection problem when i switched services or is this just no longer avaliable to me! wi-fi issues since latest iOs update iphone 5

Since I updated my iphone 5 to the latest iOS version 6.1.4 (10B350), I have experienced several ongoing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity.  Is anyone else experiencing issues?  For example, I can no longer get a stable wireless connection from my bedroom or bathroom in my flat, whereas I previously had full strength and access to the internet. I have checked with my ISP and there are no issues with broadband in my (small!) flat and my wireless router is working perfectly.  The wireless connection drops occasionally, both in my flat when I am connected and also when I am out and about.  This change immediately happened once I updated my iOS to the new version 6.1.4 (10B350).  Any thoughts?

iphone 5 battery life and speaker issues

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but firstly. The battery life *****. And really *****. I let phone completely drain at least twice a month. Then fully charge it. Not a huge user but data I know eats it. We are talking literally within two hours of not using it and it will be down to 59%. Didn't expect this off a phone like this. iphone 4S beats it hands down. Considering going back to it tbh.  Speaker issues are terrible. Tried the music on full pause. Then exit. Then test but still nothing. Rang apple they say its not a fault but why would other people be reporting it.  iPad 4 users. Do you have issues with battery life too? And very slow charge and very quick drain. This is a joke. Nearly a Grands worth of kit and you feel like your using a Nokia 3310.  #annoyed!
