I have set my iphone to the UK region when first turning it on and going through the set up process. I will be moving to the US in a month and would like to change it or set it up on the US region, although i do not want to go through resetting the phone to do it as i have all my contacts, photos, etc loaded onto the phone. Is there a way i can switch the phone's region over to US? just a note i am talking about the phone not the app store

I'm curious to know what the max bit depth and sample rate are for my iPhone5?iTunes appears to supprt 24 bit AIFF and Apple Lossless, and I have been successful in loading 24 bit ALAC files to my iphone.... but I was not sure if those files are getting downsampled before playback? Thanks in advance for your help.

Facebook contacts won t sync into phone contacts iOS 6 iphone 3G

So I had all my Facebook contacts linked nicely with my phone. And yes I liked having everyone's information in my phone. But suddenly all my facebook contacts have disappeared from my contacts. I've tried togglying sync with contacts button and signing out and back in to Facebook, about 25 or so random facebook contacts have synced with the contacts but I want all 400+ names in there. How can I get all my Facebook contacts to sync into my phone contacts?

Hello,      I currently have an iphone 4s 16 GB and am quickly running out of storage space.  I only have about 700 MB of space remaining and my "Other" category is taking up 6.27 GB of space!  I believe that most of this is because of my text messages; I have never deleted any of them and I'm in a group message that easily accumulates over 150 texts per day, so I need space, and fast!!!  I have read about several programs and am definitely willing to buy one, but I would like first-hand information about these programs.  I'm looking for a program that will save my SMS, MMS, and iMessage text messages to my MackBook so that I can delete them from my iphone.  I would need a program that will save the messages permanently.  I want to be able to save the messages to the program, delete them from my phone, connect my phone to the program at later dates and save additional messages, and not lose any messages at all.  I don't want an app that I can only save messages to once because if I try to save more, it gets rid of the old ones and only saves the new ones.  I'm not sure how any of the programs work as far as that goes, so if anyone could reccommend a program to me that would do what I'm looking for, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thank you in advance for the help!!!

How to use iMessage for specific contacts iphone 5

I'm thinking this is impossible, but I thought I'd post and see if I could get an answer. I am running short on data and have unlimited texts and therefore I turned iMessage off because I don't have access to WiFi anywhere. But I found out that it's the only way that I can contact some friends that are out of the country. Is there a way that I can enable iMessage only for those people and leave it disabled for everyone else? I've looked through the forums and searched for the answer, but I can't even find someone who has the same problem as me. Any help would be appreciated.

This whole problem started when I first got my iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! This problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a iphone 4s btw. With my old iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! This is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

I want to start over iphone

So I got my iphone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iphone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iphone to ONLY my computer... When I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). Long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. When I do have my iphone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... iTunes 11 deleted recent contacts and photos iphone 5

I recently got an iphone 5. Downloaded iTunes 11 and tried to sync my new phone. Once done I looked at my phone to find that all new contacts since October 2012 had been deleted along with any texts I had received and all the photos I had taken on my new phone. Instead I now have all my old photos and apps from my old phone. But nothing newer than October 2012. How can I get the new stuff back on my phone?

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iphone

I have an iphone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

I have been having trouble with my iphone - sudden decrease in battery life, apps not working, Wifi not working, iCloud not working (don't ask me why, but when I go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and back up, the toggle is off and greyed out, giving me no option to turn it on). I was advised to back the iphone up on my mac, reset the iphone to factory settings and then restore it from the Mac.  So, all my apps have come over, but none of my contacts, SMS's, nothing. I can probably live without the SMS's but it will take me a long time to re-enter all my contacts.  However, they are all still in the Mac.  But I can't work out how to get the Mac to send the addresses back to the iphone.   As previously stated, the iCloud doesn't work, so I can't use that.  I looked through previous entries and the advice was: Open iTunes. Connect the iphone. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Info tab in the main window. Check the contacts box then sync. However, when I do this it say in contacts "your contacts are being synched with your iphone over the air, over-the-air sync settings can be changed on the iphone" But I don't want them synched over the air, because over the air (I assume this is iCloud) isn't working.  How do I set it (either iTunes or the iphone) so that it synches, via USB cable, with the contacts on my Mac? I am totally, utterly confused and a bit cross as I am now worse off then before I reset the phone and was told that it would just back up from the computer.  And even more annoyed when I know the data I want is all still there (on the Mac in address book), I just can't drag it across.

My power button on my phone stopped working so before I went to the apple store today I backed up my phone to the computer (itunes) instead of icloud. Now I have my new phone plugged in and I hit restore from computer. It restored all of my texts, pictures, contacts, voicemails etc. Most of my apps restored except for like 10 recent ones which were all PAID for apps. Then a message popped up saying not enough icloud storage to finish restoring. I'm not even using icloud so what is the problem?? I also checked all my apps on itunes, none of the apps that dissapeared are on there either

When I visited Store to exchange the burned adopter, Anser gallary managment refused to replace/repair. They informed that no waranty for adapter. Calendar will not sync with iphone 5

Using OSX 10.8.4 on a Mac mini late 2012 model, trying to sync Calender on mac to calender on my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4 No matter how many youtube videos I watch or how many threads I read, my iphone calender will not sync with the calender on my mac. Any ideas?I have both my mac and iphone setup in icloud settings just as described in every video. At home I have two Macs, one for work and another which acts as a sort of entertainment hub storing all my music, podcasts and videos as well as being for the family to use. Is it possible to sync my one iphone to both Macs, with the work one just syncing things like my contacts, emails, calendars and apps while the other Mac would sync just the podcasts and music to the iphone.Would this cause any problems and what is the correct way to go about this? Thanks for any help, tips and advice.

Lost all pictures. Please help iphone

I lost all my pictures from Africa on my phone. It was the first time I plugged my iphone into my laptop and iTunes was there. I did hit set up new phone but it said your phone has been restored for some reason. Lost all my contacts and photos as I didn't realize set up new phone meant it would do that. I thought it was just setting it up as a new file or whatever since it was new. Didn't know about iCloud at the time so no it wasn't turned on. Is there any way to get them back? Please help  The guy at apple store said to go do this and then if its on there from the date I lost them (6/2/2013 4pm) then the pictures should be there still. I just dont know how to see them or find out if they are still somewhere saved. They are not in my pictures folder or recycle bin.

Problem with contacts from Facebook on iphone

Hi there, something weird happened to me and I don't know how to fix this... Now I have about 300 Facebook friends and since the iOS update I have had my facebook friends appear in contacts and I merged the contact in my phone With the contact on Facebook so obv I have it all merged into one, with updated profile pic of fb and link to there facebook all into one neat and tidy  Well for some reason and out the ordinary it has just disappeared, all the fb contacts have gone, when I untick the iCloud box on contacts and just the Facebook box when I go into groups only like a handful of fb contacts are actually there....I've tried unchecking the box in preferences and uninstalling the fb app itself to get these all back and pressing update all contacts in settings too and even though I have like 300+ fb it just says updated 16 or something ridiculous.. Anyways really hope someone can help!  Cheers

I received a suspect email on my iphone 5 yesterday, which contained only a web link. I deleted it without accessing the link but despite this my phone sent out mails to everyone in my contacts this morning. So, I have tried the following steps (found here and elsewhere on the web) to get my Facebook contacts out of my phone: Settings > Facebook > Allow these Apps to Use Your Account: Calendar and contacts to OFF (clicked "Update all contacts")Result: No change; all Facebook friends in contactsSettings > iCloud > contacts: set slider to OFFResult: Asked if I wanted to keep the contacts from iCloud on phone. Choosing Yes resulted in no change to contacts. Choosing No deleted all of my contacts from phone (and gave me a heart attack)Facebook App > Log OutResult: No change to contacts.Settings > Facebook > Delete Account (to delete account off iphone only).Result: Took contacts list down to 50 (some random Facebook contacts a few others) and wiped out nearly all manually entered contacts (gave me heart attack # 2).Settings > Facebook > Add Account. I had recently changed my password on my iphone 5, next time I went to open my phone it wouldn't except the password I thought I had changed it to. Now I'm locked out of my phone and it just says connect to itunes. I connected to my itunes but it won't let me access anything from the phone since its locked and I need my password. way to go back to before you restored phone iphone 5

I bought a new phone and they transferred my contacts and pictures from my old phone to my new. But when I got I stupidly decided to restore my phone from the last time I backed my old phone up, which was a couple of months ago... and when I restored it, all my pictures from then until now were gone. So the question is there a way to like take back a restore or am I just SOL?

No ringing while connecting to number on an iphone 5 ATT but they can hear me and I can not hear them.

I have an iphone 5 with ATT and sometimes (very randomly) when making a call, it does not make a ringing sound (like it is not connecting), but it has connected and the other person can hear me but I can't hear them at all.  When I do try and say "hello" to see if they can hear me all I hear is my own voice echoing back.  Other times the phone conncts and rings immediately and I know then that the call is working. I actually got it to do this while on the phone on my landline with applecare. I did all of the resets with Apple and they determined it was a hardware problem and I received a new phone. It seemed to be ok, but three days after activating it, the same thing happened. There does not seem to be any common factor.  It happens with landlines, cell phones, inside, outside and it does not always do it to the same number twice.  It is a complete crap shoot. I have noticed that is it much more likely to happen if I go through "contacts" or "recents" to make the call. It has also happened a few times when using Siri to call. I never know until I don't hear the ringing sound that the call is messed up.  This is awful when trying to contact a business and you have to keep calling them back.  Anyone else? 

Facebook Contact Sync Problem iphone 3G

Hi, I never had the problem of syncing my Facebook contacts with my iphone 5 and iPad 2 but recently I turned off my Facebook contact sync on my iphone 5 at Settings>Facebook>contacts and turned it on later, and immediately I noticed only 41 out of 817 Facebook contacts were synced with my iphone and I lost all the merge with my existing phone contacts. I tried this on my brother's iphone 5 and hitted the same problem, he has 747 Facebook contacts synced to his device prior to turning off the sync, and after turning off the sync and turning it on later, only 75 out of 747 contacts were synced to his iphone 5. I did not dare to further try this on my iPad 2 as I scare it will screw up the contacts I linked on my iPad.  Looks like there is a problem with Facebook contact sync on iOS. Has anyone encountered this problem?

need help using iErase to zero out iphone 3GS

I'm about to buy an iphone5 and need to wipe my iphone 3GS.  After backing it up on itunes, I restored the old iphone to erase everything.  I  had planned to  then install  iErase to zero  out the free space.  Here's my  problem.  After I restored my phone I couuldn't figure out  how to put iErase back on it.  While  in itunes, I selected the  iErase app to install  and hit sync.  Itunes proceeded to sync everything back onto my  iphone (apps, contacts, etc.).  I must have missed a step.   I tried to restore again.  After this eraseed everything, I connected it to my Mac and   itunes started to automatically back up my now "restored" iphone despite the fact that I  have automatic back ups deselected.  It eliminated my previous backup that had all my stuff.  Fortunately I was ables to select an older backup to restore and was able to retrieve my data. This has been a major pain.  I need to do all of this before I trade my phone  in at AT&T when I go to buy my iphone5.  Can anyone help? Thanks

Backed up my phone-Photos are gone in my phone but on my computer iphone 4

     So, as you guys know from earlier, I dropped my phone and it wouldn't respond, right? Well On Saturday I took my puppy on her second walk around the neighborhood and she kept jumping on me and I had my headphones plugged in my phone, adn her paw got caught in the wire and pulled my phone down and it fell on the road. I went back to my house to tell my parents and we eventually got the glass repaced and it works just fine now.       But before we got it replaced I remember I plugged my phone in and I saved my photos (like I usually do when I plug it into my laptop) and having the screen black but still being able to touch it,I freaked and thought I had to back it up. (I have a password and couldn't because I couldn't see the numbers) Since I gotit back, my photos dissappeared, but all my apps, contacts (ect.) were still there.      So I searched up how to get photos back, and I did, but it doesn't show in my camera roll, (I had to sync them from my laptop to my phone) it shows up as photo library. I can't delete them from there and the only way I can is put them in an album but they're still there in the photo library.  I just want my photos back in my camere roll and photo stream. iphone 4S continuously shows low load balance notification

It all started when I took some pictures today, then after couple of photos, the Camera app crashes. Tried to open up the camera app again and attempted to take some photos but it crashes immediately again. Couple of seconds later I get this notification. Lots of it. Next thing I did is to hard restart my iphone but although the notification appears again even though I don't take pictures now. It seems for me that this issue isn't influenced by the camera at all but more on iOS issue. From then on I keep getting this notification to the point whenever I wake my iphone, I keep pressing the DISMISS button. Just plainly for a pre-paid SIM for texting, and calls onlyTried to reset Network Settings, and hard resetCellular Data is turned OFFiCloud is only synced with Mail, contacts, Calendars, Passbook, and Find My iPhoneMMS messaginf is turned OFFiMessage is turned on I strongly reckon this is an OS issue as it keeps to attempt to send a text message (of what it seems to be doing).Am I the only one experiencing this?Any suggestions for solutions? Thanks.

How much will fit on my iphone 4 8gb

Hello! I am planning on getting the iphone 4 8gb. I currently have an ipod touch and plan on transferring my 700 songs. I'd also like to add about 150 contacts and will probably have about 200 photos at a time. I'd also add about 25 apps. Will it fit?

URGENT HELP iphone 4S

Last night i went on my phone to make a phone call but all my contacts were somehow deleted i tried turning off my iphone and then turning it on but still had the same problem. I dont know what to do i had icloud but never used the backup for it infact i had not signed in to it till the next day. I somehow managed to get a few of my contacts back through my messages. There were many important numbers in there. To top it off the most important thing to me was all my information on my calender list like my appointments, and many other important events. I do not know hot to retreive it if anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you
