complete battery failure iphone 4S

On Friday of last week my iphone 4S began to rapidly lose it's charge.  By this I mean from 100% to 65% by 9:30 am, and completely dead by 2:30 in the afternoon.  I turned off my location services and "killed" all the apps running and it did not change my rapid depletion.  this morning I noticed my phone was warm to the touch and when I checked it my battery was down to 10% by 8:30 am and this was after having been at a 100% charge at 07:00 am.  I turned my phone off completely at 8:30 and when I went to turn it back on I got no response, not even the picture of the battery that indicates it needs to be charged.  So when I finished my work shift at 3:30 I put my phone on the charger and it has still yet to turn back on.  Has any body heard or had an issue with this?

iphone 4S keeps disconnecting WIFI frequently when in use

    My iphone suddenly began disconnecting frequently from my Access point like every 4 seconds, maybe every minute. it just disconnects randamly,i have had this issue for two days now . I restored my iphone to IOS 6.1.3 and yet the issue is still preserved , so i reset my router and my access point to their default setting and still the WIFI keeps on disconnecting. I even tested my iphone to connect to my Uncle's wifi access point and still it disconnects from it frequently.My iphone has never suffered any damage. it has never fallen on the ground and not even scratched.The disconnection here is not that the iphone disconnects from the wifi when i lock the phone but it's worse it disconnects when the phone is in use even if I am downloading something from the app store or streaming a video on youtube and then it will automatically reconnect again which is pretty annoying especially if i am using a VOIP service .i tried everything now and seems nothing helps. Is this a Hardware or a software problem ?, i would be glad to hear from other users that i am not the only one affected by it. I live in Egypt, is there Apple support in here ?, Any suggestions will Greatly help me .

On febraury I bought an iphone 4S but now the wifi doesn't work, this is a common problem in the iphone, but now I am in Argentina and in my country there isn't any place where repair my telephone. I called to Apple to tech support and they told me they could not assist me because they only assist people from Mexico and Canada, and that I had to speak to an authorized service center in Argentina, so I went to the place they told me, in that place I say they can not sorting the problem, that the only solution is to travel to USA to change.Because they tell me that if in legal terms of the warranty states that if Apple so you can make changes determined through some mail? Why not give me that option? I have the right to use my iphone in its 100%, the truth that without wifi and bluetooth is how to use it by 50%.Any recommendations?

iphone app updates frozen in waiting-what to try next

Hi, I tried to update 3 apps on iphone 5 about a week ago. They got 'stuck' while updating, and now are permanently frozen showing a greyed out icon, and saying the status as 'installing.'  I have tried everything and need more suggestions.this is what I have tried:Restoring - no changeLogging off itunes account, pressing home and lock button til apple icon appears, then logging back in - this changes the status to 'waiting' but it's still frozenHolding down icon to delete - it doesn't have cross above these 3 affected appsGone into -> General -> Usage -> then selected each affected app and Deleted them - no changePlugged into PC and synced, then tried removing apps and installing again - the icons aren't removed when I remove, but when I install them again, it does kickstart the icon to change to 'loading', but then it returns to 'installing' and is still frozenAdding a new app/ installing updates for other apps to check to see if itunes account works - yes they added/ updated fineCalling Apple tech support. The guy was really nice and helpful, but his advice didn't work (as above.)  He told me to contact the itunes account support, and ask them to delete the apps from my purchase history and then try re-installing themContacting the itunes account support - they emailed me back, and advised me that they checked my download queue and "updates of these three apps are not there." (?) So they gave me the advice to do as above. He also sent me to this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 which at the last step says "If you continue to experience the issue, contact the developer of the application for further assistance."  Now, my issue is: How the heck do I contact the developer, and will this help, when it seems to clearly be an iphone problem? Should I give up and take the phone into an Apple store? Any other suggestions will help.  Cheers.

Good night;guys, I have a problem and would like some help:I bought it on Amazon, 1 iphone 5 Unlocked, factory unlocked. The device functioned normally and after an update, it did not take over my chip and says the device is locked (is asking to put a valid chip). After several attempts, I got in touch with the Apple of my country (Brazil), and to my surprise, the search for the serial device, they reported that the device is locked by Sprint and manufactures do not accept support or exchange (The unit has 1 month bought with full price in amazon), telling me to settle with Amazon. I insisted informing them that the unit was purchased unlocked and they also reported that this device is aimed at the European market, it works with CDMA and GSM and Apple Brazil suporPelas just the research I have done and talking to some people, I passed the information that Sprint can easily inform this code (or Imei) not sure which unlocks the device again, but have no information on how to get or do that. I contacted Amazon stating what happened and I'm waiting for a position within it, is to send the code or return the handset. My model is the A1429. iphone 4 won't charge

Greetings, My i4 developed yet another problem in the series (previous issues concerned home button, power button and camera module)... Two nights ago, I had the phone plugged in the PC, in order to make backup, syncronize with itunes, change music etc etc... It took around an hour, maybe hour and a half, and I was surprised to see that the battery (which was not even close to flat) reached only about 70%. Shortly after I unplugged the phone, the battery dropped to 50%. That night I forgot to plug it in again, and I spent the whole day yesterday saving the battery. Later that day, I got home and plugged it in immediately. 2 hours later, the battery was still on 14%. I left it "charging" for the whole night, just to find out that this morning, it was still on 14%. While checking emails and stuff, the indicator "jumped" to 16%, but then dropped to 10%. Now it shows 3% eventhough it's still connected to the computer. There is a battery indicator on the lock screen, which means that it doesn't refuse the charger, but somehow the battery refuses to be charged. The indicator in the upper right corner shows "plug in" symbol, as if it has been charged, not a "thunder" as if it's still charging. I tried cleaning both the dock connector and the cable, I tried different cables, I tried charging from the wall socket and from various PCs, but nothing seems to work. Everything else seems fine though. Battery dead and needs replacing, or is it something more "fruttier"? Thank you!

My camera frozen iphone 4

Have tried restore on itunes and restore to new on phone.   The issue is not changing even with that.  Happened about a month ago and haven't been able to get it to work since. As soon as I click on camera, whatever the camera is facing is what it is frozen on.   Sometimes the shutter won't even open and the video does not work either.  None of the apps that you can take a picture with work either like Instagram, pict stich etc. Not sure what else to do. seberia8

Dear All, I dropped my iphone a few months back and ever since it's been in a support case (I bought it 1 day after dropping the iphone 5 to the floor... how cruel can life be). I'm not worried about the dent in the upper right corner (power button). I'm more concerned about sound it makes when you shake it (it had this since day 4 already)... + the fact that the power button is not working anymore (even that I can overcome if needed).Nevertheless I'm worried about the warranty. I live in Europe (Belgium) and have to say that I'm completely disappointed in the service of the store where I bought my phone (an official apple reseller but not an apple store). With that said I rather know my options in terms of warranty other than asking it in the shop (cause they'll argue anyway). It's an official iphone, done nothing fishy with it (only shouldn't have dropped it )

Camera app doesn t work iphone 3G

I got my first iphone as a gift the other day (32GB iphone 5 from Verizon). However, the camera app on it does not work. When I launch it, either the closed shutter is displayed, or the screen is completely black and none of the "buttons" (i. e. Options and switching between front and rear cameras) work. I have tried completely closing out of the app and doing a restore of my iphone through itunes, but it still does not work. I have a case, but the lens is completely visible. Any help would be appreciated!

Last night the screen of my phone 4 slowly went black. I tried charging it while hard resetting it but that did not help. also tried just resetting it but nothing with that either. I tried to chat with itunes but couldn't becasue I cannot get the serial number. I do not have an sd tray nor can I use the screen. It is not printed on the back of the device not is it connecting to itunes so I can get it from there.

#I just received my BRAND NEW, SEALED, iPhone4 32 GB FACTORY UNLOCKED which I bought from Ebay. After unboxing, I switched on the phone to find that it was already activated, and did NOT show the "Connect to itunes" screen, which gave me doubts whether this phone is actually brand new, the phone does have that protective film on the front and back which normally comes with brand new iPhones, anyhow I went online and did some intense research and found interesting facts about the serial number, and from my understanding the phones with serial numbers starting with 5K could be a refurbished phone, and indeed my supposedly BRAND NEW iphone which came in a sealed retail box with all accessories does have a 5K serial number, so I did some more googling and came across a web site which gives details about an iphone with its serial number and it shows this phone is a refurbished one. I checked on Apple website for warranty and it says "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contactus."  #Now all you good knowledgeable people out there, please please shed some light on this matter.Is this really a genuine brand new phone? When I contacted the seller regarding     the phone being already activated, he said it is normal with phones     which are factory unlocked. But I believe it is actually supposed to     show  - “Connect to itunes” screen. That was how it was with my     iphone 3G. At least right out of a brand new box. Am I correct? How can a refurbished iphone come in a     sealed retail box? Even if that was the case, would it cost the same     as a normal brand new FACTORY UNLOCKED iphone because I paid US $     904.00 for this. Does Apple sell refurbished iPhones as     new? What confuse me is that the box have all the labels intact as     it was a sealed box, and the serial number and IMEI number match     with the actual phone. Should I consider this a genuine     product that Apple meant to sell as it is or better I go for a claim     and either get a refund or replacement from the seller on Ebay?.   Thank you very much in advance for all your kind help and insights. Every time I try to go onto certain apps, a notification shows up saying connect to itunes to use push notifications. No matter how many times I push okay the notification doesn't go away. As soon as I press ok this notification how's up right away. So when I do connect my phone to itunes on my computer I don't know how I would set up my push notifications. I found an app that provides a call confirmation without jailbreaking the phone called "Group contact." in settings, if you turn 'return to the app after phone call" on, you get the message "you will be alerted before making the call, and the app will be re-opened after the call." Before every call, a call confirmation is delivered, which solves my problem perfectly!

My iphone 5 freezes EVERY time I try to open contact or addedit contact and freezes up pretty much on everything I .

My iphone 5 operates at about the speed of dial-up internet.  Every time I try to do something I have to wait. My harddrive is not even close to being full and I always close out of my programs so I am confused.  It is mainly a problem with contacts (adding, editing, viewing, anything). I also occasionally hardware reset (power and home button same time) to try and help but to no avail. Is this an Apple issue that a trip to the Apple Store will take care of?  I am just sick and tired of having upgraded to an iphone 5 only to step backwards in speed and performance, plus switching over deleted over half of my contacts even though I had icloud set up on my 4 and also on my 5 so it should have been seamless.  Is my phone a lemon?

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iphone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

I purchased my iphone 4 while living in Hong Kong. I am now back in the UK and the phone has deveoped a problem where the mic cuts out during calls and the person I'm on the phone to can't hear me. I took the phone to the apple shop here and the girl told me that she would have given me a replacement but she can't because the phone is slightly different than the UK (european) model of the iphone 4. She then told me to call apple care and explain to them over the phone.  I called apple care and an american woman said she can't give me support unless I pay £25 but will email me instructions on reseting the phone, I told her reseting won't make a difference as the mic problem is a common one with iphone 4's and I've read it's a hardware problem. So anyways I reset my phone and nothing changed. I'm stuck in limbo right now and dunno what to do, does anyone have any suggestions? I think I'll get a galaxy when my contract is up this year.

Replace cracked display iphone 5

Hi everyone.I bought my iphone 5 from apple online store (US).Now I want to replace broken display. I have international warranty and it's still valid. I understand, that I should pay for it, but there is no any official support of apple in my country (Georgia).What can I do? Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into itunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on itunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Facebook Push Notifications not working on iphone 4S 6.1.3 and Macbook Pro OS X 10.8.3

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom itunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? Hi there ..i have an iphone 4S, i bought from iraq ( Bagghdad ) and now i leave in france ( Poitiers ) i have with me the box and what's in the box . i bought before 10 months so i didn't complete my first year of garanty, can i change my phone without any paper of garanty ? because i read in thier website" WarrantyEvery iphone includes 90 days of free telephone technical support and a one-year limited warranty. "so can i change it while am in france ?

So i restored my iphone iphone 4S

So i restored my iphone ,i lost everything ,luckily i have a back up file on my computer..my question to any willing to help is how i can place my back up on to my itunes to then sync it with my iphone ?

Crashing and screen flickering problems. iphone 4

I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!
