Hello Everyone Who loves Apple most I DO Anyway I would like to make this chat about the iphone 5 like for tips and tricks and stuff like that but first of all... How do you save battey life. I close all the apps in the multitasking bar, turn the brightness down to 50%, turn the weather and stocks widget off, set the nonifications I want to reminde me, and I also, turn off WiFi and 3G when not using it but my BATTERY STILL GOES TO QUICKLY! My iphone shut off and will not turn back on

SO here's what happened,  I was texting a friend and listening to music on my iphone... Then all of a sudden I get this pop up notification that says "This adaptor is not supported" I didnt have my phone plugged in and then all of a sudden it turned off and will not start back up. I tried the following:Charge my phone for an hourPressed the sleep/power+home button for 20 secondsPressed the home button and plugged it in my computer while doing so Now with that said, I need to know the following:Is there hope for my Phone?And if I have to replace it, can I go to my cell phone provider-ATT and have them replace it ( I have insurance on it) because the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away.  All the advice the better!

iphone 5 Screen Damage Replacement

Hi, I bought factory unlocked iphone 5 from US in Dec 2012. I came back to India few days ago and accidently iphone's screen got damaged.The phone is under limited hardware warranty with no extra apple care plan. I talked to Apple care in India and they say they cannot replace my damaged phone even if I pay to them Can you please let me know the procedure as on how shall i get my damaged Iphone5 replaced , can i ship it to directly to Apple or do I need to ship it to some of my friend in US or do I have to follow some other procedure? Please suggest. Thanks,Rahul

iphone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iphone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iphone. Recently my friend bought an iphone too, when i compared our iPhones, i found out that his iphone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iPhones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

I'm in group chat iMessage but all sudden it went to text iphone 5

There's 5 people and it was iMessage, and then it went to text? And half the people are iMessage and half are text, but now, only 1 is test and the rest are back to iMessage. But everyone's iMessage works in other conversations and group chats. How do I get it to go back?

iphone 5 home button issue.

Back in November, I got my iphone 5, and the day got it without even touching the home button, it was slightly pushed in, and by that I mean the home button slightly sinks in & It really bothers me. It was new brand out of the package, do you think if I will to the Apple store they would be able to help me? My friend also has an iphone 5 and hers is perfectly inline with the rest of the ahardware on the bottom of the phone. Hopefully this makes sence. Help please me!

Viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iphone 3G

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! Thanks in advance &cu,-udo

Cracked Screen on iphone 4

I dropped a hard metal spoon while i was clearing up and it landed directly ontop of my iphone when it was the table and its cracked the screen.The phone still works as if no damage has happened, but its just a crack and im worried it will get worse.  I bought this phone definately less than a year ago, around christmas because i remember being served through the fast lanes, so its still under warranty. I just wanted to know how much it costs to fix it. My friend told me she took her phone back when she owned an iphone because she had cracked the screen too by dropping it. And they gave her one free, so i dont know how much it is, but when my brother went because of the speakers not working on his, they wanted him to pay £119, but that was two years ago. I doubt very much i will get a free one because it was damage caused by me, so i just want a rough idea how much it will cost to fix because im hearing two different things.  Thanks in advance

My iphone tunred off and it won't turn back on. I have tried charging it, I have tried holding both buttons for 5 minutes at a time. It still does nothing. I've tried going to chat with apple service but i need to turn on the phone to see my serial number to get to that. I'm stuck can anyone help?

iphone 4S wifi button grayed out

Hi, I have an iphone 4S with wifi button grayed out similar to the case here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559andhttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/4638071?start=0&tstart=0 I already performed a network reset, reset to factory setting and updated eveything via itunes. I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone. Day before yesterday in the evening i was talking to my friend and once i finished my call, i hangup the call. Suddenly i realised my external speakers were not working. i havent backed up data for more than 5 weeks so i decided to update my iOS from 6.1.2. Then i connected my windows laptops with itunes 10.6 i tunes i tried updated my phone. now my iOS 6.1.4 but i cant fix that external speakers problem. It wasnt working still. Unable to add frienduser in Game Center iphone 3G

I have a friend I am trying to add in Game Center. We have both tried to add each other. I have 3 different phones (2 iphone 5s and an iphone 4) from which I have tried to add her. Nothing seems to work. We have also tried to add from another user in GC. She is in Europe, and I am in USA. I have added "friends" from other countries. Ironically this is an actual friend of mine.  We have tried over several days to add each other. I am spelling it correctly. Any thoughts?.

Error 1611 or 1603 on iphone 5

Hello! I´m soo frustrated right now - it seems i can not get my new iphone 5 to work... I broke the screen my iphone 5 aproximatley 4 mounths ago, and bought a new screen on ebay. I bought this for over 300 dollars, and got a friend to fix it. (and paid him as well) He broke one of the thin wires when he was changing the screen, making the front camera and speaker useless. Except that, the phone worked just fine. Then he bought a new wire, installed that, and i got it back. But now, it wont work! When i start it just a picture of an USB cable towards an itunes brand appear... and i have litterally tried everything. No matter what I do, I can not fix it, or restore it - the error code 1611 or 1603 appears om my mac screen when I connect it to itunes, and I get no further than that. And Ive uptaded all the programs, tried holding in home and of/on-button, go into the "hosts" on my mac (if you dont understand what i ment by that, just ask) Can somebody please help me?  Im cryin here, Ive used so much money on this and it does not work. Whats wrong with it? Ive tried every possible solution that appears on google, NOTHING works. I didn't bought the phone from Apple, but maybe I can send it in to them and I can get a new one? I dont expect that, but Ive would be in heaven

Can iphone 5 take photo in .png format

So my friend sent me 3 images they had taken on their phone, 2 came as jpgs but one came as a .png image.  I was skeptical as they were different formats. Is this even possible and if not how could an image be a .png ?   read somewhere this could be a screenshot/grab but when i tried that myself to emailed to self through gmail app it still appreared as a jpg the email also came from someone using gmail  Thanks in advance

    Not being very careful today, I dropped my phone and it landed flat on its glass front screen. Dusch! Cracked screen! My questions now are a) should I just go into Apple and see if they can replace it? b) have a tech geek friend replace the cracked screen ( you can buy the parts and repair kit online), or c) should I just replace the whole phone (can't remember if the warranty is up. New Facebook Update Not Working iphone 4

A few weeks ago I updated to the new fb chat head feature on my iphone 4 and it worked perfectly. However, the next day I got another update for the sticker feature, but after updating to this addition neither features appeared. The new fb was present, but my chat head feature was no longer there and no stickers either! Facebook chat just appeared like it did before I updated any of it, but the other aspects (e.g. news feed, etc.) are updated. Does anyone know how this happened and what can I do to fix it?

to cut a long story short. I was interested in an i-phone... got the details..checked them all.. on the phone and with the provider, VODAPHONE... told unlocked, not stolen etc etc. proceeded to buy the phone...new sim topped up £10 only to find it wouldn't work...  Went into vodaphone store..been running around following thier advice..(they said I need a friend who is a customer on vodaphone to get passed the unlocking with a vodaphone code.. and they would do it for free given the circumstances...so i run errands go back and forth doing as they asked...got nowhere) SO IT IS NOW A MONTH LATER..and after complaining and complaining to thier email site and repeatedly asking for help in store..I am stumped as what to do and just have a glorified ipod. I WILL NOT BE FORCED TO REMAIN ON THE VODAPHONE NETWORK given the situation they have put me in and thier unwillingness to help so i refuse to use the phone with vodaphone... BUT WHAT can i do PLEASEEEEEEE? all they keep on suggesting is that I get the original owners details but he is not answering anything...and the phone is not registered as stolen etc so what is the problem!? As you can imagine I am really peeved by the whole thing as I actually carried out all the necessary checks, and whilst the phone was not bought directly from vodaphone, I went to them as the provider, to find otu about unlocking etc as it is always advised to do so..and it was them that gave me the wrong information but they still will not resolve the issue. I have even sent them phone records to confirm when I rung and the name of the invalid who told me the phone was unlocked in the first place. I really would much appreciate any help as they are ignoring  my emails now.

iphone 5 won't turn on

I've tried everything, and even the hard reset. It died on me last night at a friend's house and most of them are still on 4's and 4S' so no charger was available. Just woke up with it dead, and now it won't turn on or charge.

I have recently purchased a 4G/LTE sim card from my carrier (Mobily). The phone doesn't show LTE notification on the screen. It is stuck in 3G. I have checked all settings and even restored my phone but still it is stuck in 3G mode. My friend who sits in the office next to me just got his iphone yesterday and he is getting LTE signal notification on the screen.

iphone 5 not charging

hello very recently my iphone stopped charging well it was charging but it wasnt charging lol i know what i mean is when i plug in the cable the phone says charging but the percentage of the battery isnt going up so i tryed a different lightning cable still same problem so then i tryed the wall brick thingy still same problem i also tryed my car charger and nothing so a friend told me its my battery so i took it to a repair shop and they replaced it for me and the phone was working again and then at night i went to plug it and same thing it shows charging but its not charging instead of givng that lightning icon on the battery it shows the other icon that indicated that the battery is fully charged. so its pretty much telling me that at 5 percet battery level the battery is fully charged i dont know what to do is this hardware where the phone is telling the battery to stop taking in charge because it thinks its fully charged please help i dont know if i should do a complete restore because i dont think its a sotware issue because even when the phone is off and connected to charger its still not chargeing please guys help me out i need my phone back

Problem activating iphone 4 on new network.

Hello, I have received an iphone 4 from a friend who has recently upgraded, he is on vodafone and I am on Giffgaff both in the UK. He has been in touch and been granted a factory unlock from his network for me, although when he originally retired the handset he did a full "as new" restore through iTunes. I cannot activate the phone with my sim as it's not the original carrier but therefore also cannot get beyond the activation of the handset in order to "apply" the factory unlock through iTunes.  Is there anyway around this problem or will I have to borrow/acquire a Vodafone sim to firstly activate and then update through iTunes? Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick altogether? Help much appreciated!

sticky or broken home button iphone 4 GSM

help!!! i have always been a fan of apple, had numerous iphones & ipods, at some point these have been broken and ive repaired cause apple take so long! my 4s was stolen so i bought a 16gb 4 GSM from a friend, i had it matter of 30mins max and dropped it, smashed front glass/digitizer! so i replaced it with oem parts, before the home button was fine! but now when i press the home button it sticks down and then voice control comes up if it dont stick down it doesnt work at all so i press it a few times to sorta force it to work and then multitasking comes up, i litterally cant get back to the springboard unless i turn phone off then on again! ive taken the phone appart clean the HB connections and clean the HB itself but problem still there!! can anyone help?? will i need a new home button or is there a way to fix this?
