Battery cable life iphone 5

has anyone had issues with battery life and cables not working on iPhone5?  I have had my new phone for just over 30 days and have experienced issues with both.

All my speakers work fine my headset works fine but I cannot hear anything through my receiver what can I do to fix this

When making a phone call i can hear the person on the call, yet when i speak they cannot hear me.  Seldom times the phone speaker will work where the other person on the call can hear me, but moments later it will mute again. I've had success using viber and can make voice control which makes things more confusing. Any ideas? Regards  Ibrahim Gungor

no wifi icon but am online iphone 5

my iphone 5 starting acting up lately.  i am online but there is no wifi icon on top.  when i checked the speed of my router, macbkpro will register 3mbps., ipad2 will register 2.3mbps and my iphone 5 will have a measly .35mbps. taking into consideration that my ipad 2 has the wifi issues because of ios6 which was much discussed here in the forum.  i have mentioned before that before ios6, my ipad has better signal than my iphone. but after ios 6, iphone5 showed better signal with the same set of circumstances of the router.   3g signal is very good but there is frequent failure or delay in sending text messages and frequent dropped or choppy signal of  phone calls.what is wrong with my phone. should i have it exchanged?

I think my phone hacked iphone 4S

Someone tried to access my online account the first day I got my phones. The carrier texted me. I rcvd snail mail that they tried to access it again and were given a temp password. I have blocked all access to my online account- I can't even access it.  My phone is now burning hot, and under Diagnostics and usage, the dates are out of order and they look suspicious- I see words like  apple user ID, daemon,etc.Please help! My ex keeps getting in all my info, accounts, emails.. hey i have iphone 3gs running on IOS 4.1. and i am not able to install applications from itunes.

hey i bought this second hand phone from a friend and this phone is locked by a korean carrier KT free tel, its currently running on IOS 4.1.so now i am thinking to use this phone on this IOS 4.1. but when i am downloading the apps from Itunes. it says a higher version of IOS is reqiuerd.so is it that applications for IOS 4.1 is no longer available on Itunes?????

I got the iphone 5 about 6 months ago and have had wifi reception problems the entire time. I spend most of my time in my entertainment room (studio) which is on the opposite end of the house from the router. I have an imac, an apple tv2, an ipad, and (2) iphone 4 all using the same wifi and housed in this same room. They all have no problem picking up the signal and staying connected. My wife and her son both have iphone 4S and never lose connection when they are in my room. It's very frustrating because I was so excited about being able to mirror my phone through the apple tv and hd tv. I own an AT&T iphone 4 and a Verizon iphone 4 that aren't capable of mirroring. I have the original ipad which isn't capable of mirroring. My wife's 4S and her son's 4S are both capable and do it with ease but it's their phones, not mine. So I stayed patient knowing I would get the next upgrade and it was just a matter of time. Wrong. Between 5 phones, a desktop, a tablet, apple tv, PS3......My iphone 5 was the only one that won't connect. I am not talking about it loses the signal or cuts in and out, I am saying you have to walk halfway down the hall to even get it to detect the signal in the first place. Not a chance in **** of it actually staying connected to it.  I talked to Apple Support about the problem and asked if the iphone 5 had a weaker antenna or if there was a setting that needed to be adjusted. They were polite to me but in so many words let me know that my assessment was ridiculous and news to them. Well okay, no big deal, I just chalked it up as that maybe I got a dud this time as far as the antenna goes. Then, about a week ago, I dropped the phone and shattered the front glass and lcd. Luckily I had insurance and was able to get a brand new replacement. The problem is the antenna reception is exactly the same. So this was not an isolated incident and I wasn't crazy for asking about it. I don't see how they haven't received tons of complaints about this issue. I love Apple products and probably just expect perfection because I have never had any major problems with any of my Apple devices. But it is an unpleasant surprise that the newer model takes several steps back on such an important feature. Sorry for the rant and I remain positive that this issue can be addressed, if it hasn't already. P.S.....The iphone 5 that I got two days ago has an awesome new feature. If you are using the phone for an actual phone call, the person you are talking to can't be heard whatsoever. If you can get them to talk really loudly and repeat themselves at least three times, you will have a greater chance of comprehending the purpose of the call.

Makingreceiving call mic problems iphone

Hi, I understand there are two mics on the iphone 4, which would explain my problem. I need a DIY fix if possible please. When I'm making a call, the person im speaking to can only hear a extremely faint voice from me, so faint they would need to be in a sound proof room to hear me. If I switch to speaker phone they can hear me fine, as im guessing this uses the other mic located on the top of the iphone. I've seen a youtube fix for a mic which isn't working. Would this be the fix involving opening iphone and inserting a piece of card or plastic to create pressure on the chip?  Any comments or advice would be most grateful.

Well after a fall from around 10cm high my mic stopped working. I could listen to all my ringtones, i can voice record but when comes to phone call i cant hear anything or be heared even if i use the loudspeaker. Also when a call is established the speaker option is enabled automatically. Replacing mic will work ? Anyone had similar problem?

Grey spot in iphone 5 Camera

Hey guys, I recently noticed a grey spot in the lower left corner (portrait) in Camera app (see photos with the spot below). I don't know if I had this before, but haven't noticed it until now. The grey spot only appears in Camera, I cannot see any spots while using iphone in other ways. Also, if I take a photo, the spot stays there. Most of the times it's not visible, however now that I've discovered, it kinda bothers me.I checked the leans, it's completely clean, unscratched and I do take a lot of care of my iphone. I also have a case on at all times. Do you have any suggestion for solution or is that a know bug? Should I register a complaint at my carrier (I'm not in US, so warranty is covered by the carriers) or can that be solved by myself (no jailbreaking, please)? Thanks a lot! 

Wifi connection problems with iphone 5

The problem I am having is that my iphone 5 will connect to my wifi at home but won't connect to my wifi at work. Everyone else can connect at work with no problem with their iphone 4,4s,android phones and iPads.The network I am trying to connect to is a secret network that I have to manually search for it and input a password. I don't have trouble finding the network the issues I'm having is whenever I put the password in it will say wrong password 10times in a row then it might connect for about 10min then it will disconnect itself and when I try to connect again it will either say wrong password or unable to connect to wifi!!!!! Please help I need wifi at work since I am there more than I'm home.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

I'm on finish carrier ELISA which should run 4GLTE-switched on but not working iphone 5

Hello, I currently on a road trip in Finland and got a 4G/LTE plan from the local carrier ELISA/Saunalahti. My iphone 5 should do 4G/LTE here and also got the local carrier update to 14.1. The switch for LTE is also there and activated. The phone never switches to LTE. They put my SIM in the local store in another iphone 5 and it did work - so the issue seems to be with my iphone 5. Any Ideas? The phone was bought in Switzerland and is the same model as the guy in the store had - A1429. Anybody with similar issue or an idea? Thanks!

I have an iphone 4S and my voulme just randomly stopped working. I checked my settings again and it only makes sounds when someone calls my cell. When I try to see what level the ringer is on it shows no bars or anything. Any ideas, I tried restarting it. Nothing works just happened randomly today. Any advise?

Just when I got my 5, my carrier provided me with a back protector. I was going to buy a case from the store but they were poor-quality generic ones sold at a extremely overpriced price. Instead, I ordered a case from Amazon that was estimated to deliver on Thursday this week. Should I take it off? It is really starting to tick me off and has some visible bubbles but I am afraid I might scratch the aluminum.

iphone 5's sleepwake button not working properly

Hi, I've had my iphone 5 16gb since November last year. I bought it straight from Apple. For the last week my sleep/wake button hasn't been working as it should. It works fine when pushed on the left side of the button but only occasionally works when pushed from the right side.It's frustrating because I don't live near an Apple store and I hear that doing it over the phone and getting them to pick it up takes a long time.It's still usable for now, just annoying because it doesn't always go off. I'd be grateful for any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advanced,Ben

iphone 5 Battery drain when not using Wifi also gets hot.

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my iphone 5, if I am away from a wifi connection I experience high battery drain & the phone will sometimes get hot.Generally I am in the office or at home & the phone will be connected to a wifi hotspot, however yesterday I was out of the office in meetings etc, I didn’t have access to any wifi so used 3G data, I was in London in areas with generally good 3G coverage.  The battery went from 100% to 0% in 9 hours with what I would call minimal usage as follows.4 minutes worth of calls.25 received emails5 sent emails9 photos taken1 hour streaming music via Bluetooth20 minutes reading from news stand5 minutes in the facebook app5 minutes using the Maps app2 minutes viewing London Tube Map app  This appears to be a problem with the data receiving part of the phone as when I have access to wifi the battery life is generally fine.  I have had iPhones for about 3 years & never had issues like this. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

iphone 5 Video issues

I have an iphone 5 and just purchased and Otterbox waterproof case. The case works fine.. no leaks however when i shoot video in the pool the video is blurry on occasion. Could this be an actual issue with the iphone 5 since the case is not leaking? WHat can I do to problem solve this before going to the Genius bar?

My iphone 5 wont play music through my headphones.

When playing music through the headphones that were provided with my phone, I would hear a crackling noise. Then it would shut off and pause on my phone. When I press play it doesn't play until I wiggle the hpeadphone jack. I put my headphones into my computer and It worked perfectly fine. So I deduced that it was a problem with my headphone port on my iphone. Any suggestions? Also I just got this yesturday so its in warranty.

I have an Iphone4 that was dropped in the water.  I took it apart and cleaned it with alcohol and everything is working..... except it will not connect to a carrier.  I can use the wifi but not it wont connect to any carrier.  Please help!!!  Is there a part I need to replace?  Thanks for any help you can give.

Charger issues iphone 5

I'm having problems charging my iphone 5.  The charger sits in the dock but does not charge. If I wiggle the end of the cable, it charges but only if I hold it there - unfortunately I don't have the time to sit charging my phone by hand for 3 hours a day! It is not the cable that is the problem as it does not work with any other chargers in the house. I have an appointment at the Genius bar on the weekend but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

It's almost 6 months since I've encountered this problem. I already requested my carrier to have my iphone 4s replacedand a series of testing was done to my iphone 4s before they found out this it was defective. Now, I have my new iphone 4s but the same problem was again encountered. The message delivered late and sometimes messages aren't received at all. Though I have a complete network bar as seen on the upper corner of the screen, incoming calls aren't received and outof coverage area. Hope you can help me on this.

vodafone issues iphone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

about a month ago i took a bath with my iphone 5 and didnt realized it and when i came out of the water the screen was black and didnt work and after that i putted my iphone in rice for 3 days so it dryed out but when i tryed to boot it up nothing happend so now after that month i put my iphone on charging for about 12h and when i came back the iphone was really hot and i could hear the speaker when i plugged my iphone in and out but the screen was blue like the starting screen but without the apple logo and i cant fix it. i tryed to restore it and reboot it ovar and ovar again but nothing worked.      ! english may be bad !

Hey guys, I can play music and hear it just fine, with or without headphones. When I press on the keypad I can hear the noise it makes, I can hear calls with my headphones plugged in, or when the speaker option is on, however, unless this happens, I can't hear the person I am on the phone with. I've tried restarting, resetting, earasing all content, and restoring it with iTunes and that didn't work. I've tried cleaning the ports with a toothbrush, or pressing gently on the microphone and that didn't work.I've tried calling with the headphone on, and taking them off in the middle of the call and that didn't work either. I am currently outside of the US so I can't go to an Apple store, so I am wondering if any of you guys have been succesful at solving this problem. Can't hear callers during phone call. iphone 4

My wife has an iphone 4 and in the middle of conversations she becomes unable to hear the other person.  When the call starts she can hear them fine, but after a few minutes (sometimes less than a minute) she stops being able to hear the caller, but the caller can still hear her.  Switching to speakerphone does not help. This is a recent issue.  The phone has worked fine for the last 2 years but just started this issue in the last few weeks. Any ideas?

My i4S touch screen has spots where it does not work.  It makes it difficult to use an app or even type words out.  Is this a software problem?  Or is it in the mechanics of the phone? Kind Attention Mr. Jonathan Ive and Team ,  I bought my iphone 5 with mobile carrier in singapore last december .  Earlier I used iphone 4/4s /Ipad and now I phone 5 . I am big addict of apple products , so i went for iphone 5  iphone 4s design was amazing with a glassy feel and no chances of scratches on to its design . But I dont feel the same in iphone 5  I am a Mechancial Design Engineer - Design is basically to relate with Customer User Interface and easeness .  But day -day usage of my iphone 5 is frustrating because the No of white scractches to its side is going on increasing .  Am i suppose to use case always ?  in that case I would have gone for some low end mobiles where nothing happen even i put it down many times . I keep it so safe and now I am in a big frustration on getting iphone 5 . very bad feel like losing value of money  I kindly request Mr.Johnathan Ive and concern Manufacturing dept to revert me on my issue .  Is this the design and manufacturing capability of APPLE ?  Regardsprabakar

iphone 5 Battery Standby Time

Hi, I have just got an iphone5.  Whilst i am very happy with it i am some waht a little disapointed in the time between having to recharge.  My old HTC phone would last on standby for at least 3days.  My iphone is lucky to last the day. Ive disabled the location services which has helped but was wondering if other users have experience the same issues and what they have done to increase time between charges (other than turning it off). Regards Micky

iphone turning off rebooting while charging iphone 4S

Hi everyone. I actually have a few issues with my iphone and I have tried various things to fix these problems. Yes, I have connected to iTunes through my computer and have download and restored it twice in as many days. Ok, the first one is the touch screen is unresponsive and/or behaves erratically, like it has to think about what it has to do. Secondly, when it is connected to my computer or either one of my chargers, the phone keeps shutting down and rebooting about 15 or so minutes, and the battery percentage level meter doesn't change either. All this started happening at the same time. I was running a battery boost type app which I have since deleted but still no luck, so am I guessing right if its all battery related? Any help, thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated as like many others here, our phones are our life.

iphone 3GS 16GB with 6.1 IOS-Telephone transmission problems

Apparently, since I loaded some antivirus/download apps, I am having problems with my telephone acoustics. I can make a call and hear the recipient but they cannot hear me.  The mute button is not switched on !  I have tried removing recent apps but the problem remains. iphone 5 Certain phone number calls not go through

Messaging, facetime, and emailing works fine. Only certain phone calls (certain numbers) do not go through. Often requires I dial the same number multiple times (>8 times) and call may go through. The other end has no problem calling me. Sometimes the other end registers a missed call or a short ringing but I cannot hear the ringing on my end. The phone starts counting the seconds as if the call has been placed but no connection is actually made (it does not connect with the other end's voicemail either.

I just bought 2nd iphone 5 as back up however it wont switch to LTE when you go to carrier options it only shows 3G.

iphone 5 3 problems.

Hey guys Ive had my iphone 5 since the day it came out, so now it had started to have its problems, and more than one. Ive got three:      - brightness turns down automatically to the point I cant see the screen and when I go back to settings the brightness bar is still up to to bright and I just have to touch it for it to come back to normal.          - When I call someone or when someone call me, the place where I should hear them talk back does not work, I have to hear them on the speaker.      - When I charge my phone the lightning connector doesnt have a good connection and cuts out of charging looks like its lose.  Has anyone had one of these problems, and how was it fixed? or when you gave it to Apple, how long did it take to be fixed? or did you get a new iphone? Or feel free just to talk about what you think   Thanks guys!

Why my phone not ring when I receive an unknown call iphone

My boyfriend is currenlty deployed overseas. When he calls using a calling card the number shows up as "unknown" caller on my phone but it does not ring. I can see him calling but my phone makes no noise.

Reset my iphone 4S. I can't use now need help

Hello, I bought an iphone 4S from a friend last year , I live in united states , it was unlocked, I went on vacation to Peru and  I activated the iphone there , meaning I used a SIM card from a Peruvian carrier , everything worked good there , now that I am back in the states I reset the iphone because I need to sell it, I took the SIM card out of the iphone first and I was using the iphone with out the SIM card  for a week I mean I couldn't make any phone calls just using it when i was connected to a wi-fi , today  I reseted all data and settings , when I tried to turn it on it asked me to set up language, location and wireless connection and then the screen showed " please insert a SIM card" , "try again"........ It doesn't let do anything else. Does anybody can help me please, do I have to put back the SIM card knowing that  SIM card doesn't work in this country, what do I have to do ?? Before I reseted the iphone all apps and IOS were update.
