The microphone icon that appears next to the keyboard to enable speech to text is gray on iPhone4s OS6. How do I enable this? Thanks!

I find that the location services symbol is always solid gray next to my Find My iphone tab in settings, indicating that an outside source is using the find my iphone app to pin point my location.  Is there anyway to determine who/what is tracking my iphone and from where?

Yesterday, While "updating all apps" the apps turned gray, they say "waiting", and are frozen like this more than 24 hours later.  I tried reseting my phone; tried holding the lock and home buttons down at the same time, and let the battery die and recharged it. Nothing worked.

My music synced to my iphone but it won't play box on right of song title almost looks like stop symbol. What can I to fix this

This has never happened to me before and I have had my iphone for a couple years now. Just today I bought a couple albums on my mac through iTunes and they downloaded just fine. I have iCloud so they were automatically transferred to my phone. When I go to listen to the songs I found that they won't play. There is a gray box on the far right next to the song title. It won't play and after a little while it just skips to the next song. The weird thing is some songs did download all the way and work just fine. Please help!!!!

Wi-Fi failure on iphone 4S

I have never used the 3G connection at home [or elsewher where I have wifi connection availability] as it automatically connects to wifi networks. My iphone has failed recently to identify the wi-fi networks and it does not allow me to [gray out] on wi-fi settings, causing me a huge bill which I do not want to pay as its a failure of my equipment without my knowledge. Hello! iphone 4s 64gb. ios 6.0.1. A few months after updating to 6.0.1, suddenly wifi is gray out, battery run out fast and i have some brightness problems. In some times the wifi is gray out, after a wile it's become ok but can't find any network and after 5 min' i can use wifi normaly.Not something consistent. After some calls ends, my screen brightness is dim until i'm lock and unlock my iphone. all of this problems sterted five days ago.  Can it be the 6.01 BUG that just arrive now into my iphone?Can it be Hardware Problems?Dose someone have a solution? Please help me sove it...  Daniel.

Cannot add music from iTunes on MB Pro to iphone 4s FYIIt's onlysame laptop I've used with this phone

I cannot add any music to my iphone 4s from my MB Pro in iTunes. This is the only laptop that I have used with this phone, so that isn't the issue. When I try to "manually" add music, the playlist drags 'n drops, but stays gray and never shows up on the iphone.  I can sync my iphone and wipe all the music I do have on it and add all the music from my MB Pro, but I don't want ALL that music. Regardless of what I do, it seems all iTunes will let me do is sync it.  Based on the other archived discussions, this is an ongoing problem with Apple and a total PIA at that. We pay a premium for these machines and phones, but they no longer seem to play as well together as they used to. I've had an iphone since they came out, however, I must say that my next smart phone very well could be an Android based device...

My iphone 4 deleted all of my music and cannot be synced to itunes

My iphone 4 deleted all of my music. But when i hook it up to itunes, it shows all the songs. I tried to play a song but it just showed the gray circle. It does this too all of the songs and videos as well. When i deleted a song, i tried to re add it but Itunes said that there is an internal device error and it cannot be synced. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

How I switch to Airplane Mode during system restore to an old iCloud backup when I can't access settings iphone 4

My iCalendar events all disappeared today and I am trying to restore to an old iCloud backup from a few days ago.  My apple expert suggested that I switch to Airplane Mode during the restoration so that it would not try to sync to my blank iCloud calendar, but instead restore to my Nov 28 backup time.  However,as soon as the restore process begins (gray screen that says estimated time left) I cannot get back to Settings to switch it to Airplane Mode.

iTunes Store blank on iphone 4 iOS 6

For the past few days the iTunes Store on the iphone is just a blank page. No matter what section I attempt to access (TV, Movies, preview history, pressing the Genre's button), I get nothing. No error messages either. I just see the loading icon in the top bar and after a few seconds it's gone and I'm left with a blank white (or charcoal gray if I press the Movie button) screen. I've shut it down from the App Switcher then relaunched, shut down and restarted several times, and tried it over both 3G and wifi, but I get nothing. And I'm trying to avoid resetting all of my settings if I can avoid it.  It just seems strange that the App Store works just fine but iTunes is just dead (when I assumed they were somewhat tied together on the iphone). I haven't had a need to buy a song on the go recently but if I did I'd have to wait until I got home and cranked up iTunes on my PC. I'm sure Apple would rather not wait for me to buy a song or an album. I might think twice about by the time I get home. Come on Apple. Make sure iTunes works so I can make impulsive music purchases on the go!!

Just got the new iPhone5 today.  Downloaded a couple apps from the App Store.  However, evertime I try and go into the App Store I just get a blank white page with the dark gray "navigation" bar at the bottom with "Featured", "Charts", "Genius", etc. I have tried turning off and back on. Anybody else have this issue?

I have suspicion my gf is tracking me thru my findmyiphone app. She has access as knows username and password. In settings, the location icon shows gray next to the find my iphone app which means its been used in last 24 hrs from what I understand. As I said. The iphone is not considered user servicable. There is no legitimate source for parts. That said, I understand plenty of people want to try and fix them themselves rather than pay the out of warranty replacement fee when they break them. iFixit has done comprehensive teardowns and has lots of useful videos and photos to help you along if you want to try and tackle it yourself. This topic is NOT appopriate for these forums. Apple does not condone end users opening and/or attempting to fix iPhones. Add to that the fact that the only sources for parts will get you gray market parts that have been stripped from old/damaged/possibly stolen phones, or cheap knockoff parts and... well... you get the idea.

Hello guys, I activated my iphone 4 to tmobile from att. Receiving/making call and text works well. But iMessage and Facetime is not working with my phone number, it just sending with my email address!! I tried to change the receiving address to phone number but on my phone (setting-message-iMessage section), phone number bar is showing as verifying; same as on Facetime. Also its gray out and not possible to tab though. And finally verifying status changes to error... Even though my phone number seems as correct format with +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX.  I have ios5.1 with 4.12.01How can I figure out this issue? does anyone have same problem like me?Please help me to figure it out!

I have a iphone 4s (verizon) and ive been having trouble downloading apps the last couple days. when i go to buy a app it will buy it then go to download but the only thing that happens is that itll go to the home screen and just stay gray saying waiting.  What do I do? Ive done  a hard reset 10 to 15 times and it just does the same thing over and over again and ive also restarted my phone but no luck there. So then i decided to download the app on the computer and sync my phone but its still a no go. What do i do now?

I have only had my phone for about 2 weeks and the flash has yet to work. The flash fires and the properly exposes the image, like it should, but by the time the final image appears on the screen the image is gray and foggy. You cant even make out the subjects.  Help!

Just got my new iphone 4S 32GB out of the box after much waiting.  Startup screen with the apple logo shows prominent white/black lines - most highlighted as if radiating from the apple logo. Tried restarting / updating / resetting - nothing helped.  Black lines / gray lines noticeable only with black colors.  Have asked my service providers, through wich I bought the phone on contract and they see the problem.  Have taken my phone for possible repair / replacement.  Anyone else havin similar issues ?

I started notcing a small blak(dark gray) spot appearing near the top corner of the dispaly.it's not that big but i can see it in white backgrounds. so at frist, i tried to clean the display, but it doesn't work. iphone 4S Poor Display Quality

I received my iphone 4S on Friday, and when getting started, it seemed as though the colors were not as vivid as those found on my iphone 4.  They seemed a bit washed out, the contrast was off, and the screen has an almost fuzz to it.  Had I not kept my iphone 4, I wouldn't have been able to adequately compare the two.  However, the difference is pretty stark.   Is anyone else experiencing this? iphone 4 on left, iphone 4S on right.  Notice the color difference in the Messages and Pages icons.  Also, notice how the Weather icon looks washed out on the 4S, compared with the 4.  Even take note of the difference in the wallpaper quality.  The brightness settings are the same on both units.  Again, iphone 4 on the left, 4S on the right.  Notice the hue of the blue title bar looks gray and washed out on the 4S.  The brightness settings are the same on both units. I contacted Verizon to explain the issue, and they are sending me a brand new unit.  I hope this is just a quality control issue, and I truly hope that this isn't a reflection of all iphone 4S units.  If so, display quality has diminished significantly from the iphone 4.

iphone 4s crashes several times day-screen fades to black and restart occurs

I got the phone Friday morning.  It worked fin until Friday evening.  I was using Facetime and the screen flickered, faded to gray and then black, and the restarted.  Since then, the phone crashes as described several times a day.  It has accumulated many (probably around 100) crash or "panic stop" logs. I restored the phone and it did the same thing during the restore.  It did eventually rebuild but the problem persists. log example:  panic(cpu 0 caller 0x8007e9cc):  kernel abort type 4:  fault_type=0x1, fault_addr=0x8 Any suggestions?  Thanks

So I have had my new iphone 4s for a few days now which I had restored from my old iphone 4On iTunes with no problems until today. I was taking alot of photos which I guessCaused my camera app to freeze. So I had to soft reset iphone to exit the camera roll. And I restarted and when I went  look at the new photos I took and they are all pixelated. The videos are fine. Even new photos that I take are gray boxes and some are black boxesWhen I view the photo preview after I take the photo it is fine. I have closed all apps does anyone have This problem?!

My camera wont work after i repaired my iphone

So my phone fell out of my hoodie pocket and i cracked my screen and i went to apple to see if they can exchange it for me. Apple wanted to repair it for about $200, i said F U ..Since im not rich to waste money like that, I decided to repair it myself! I went online and bought a new screen and opened up my iphone. I did it carefully by watching tutorials online and everything came out perfect.I now have a brand new screen and its crack free but earlier today when i tried to take a picture the camera wont work. When i open the Camera app, it just shows the gray shutter on the screen. Its as if it doesnt recognize the camera.I opened the iphone again made sure everything is connected right and still cant get it to work.Anybody has any slight idea on what could be the problem?!
