My phone sounds like its breaking up when I call. Then when the other person answers all I hear is my voice echoing and all they hear is static Same happens when they call me. Data over the phone - to Vodaphone - is fine. I can browse. With or without wifi. My speaker and mic work fine.
i have iphone 5 and have latest update when i browse my pictures i cant zoom it many times but my friend have iphone 5 and he can zoom the picture many times and he can see all tiny details can tell me where is the problem is it from my camera or my setting ??
Hi all, yesterday I had two requirements from my iphone 4 and none of them was fulfilled, so I decided that this is my last Apple device. If any of you can change my mind, go ahead a try. 1st, I wanted to copy a file (pdf) from my local drive at home and then open it in ezPDF Reader. So I used NetPortalLite to access my drive and downloaded the file inside the NetPortalLite. But when I wanted to move the file to ezPDF app it didn't let. Why it is so complicated to move files between apps? I have tried to copy in NetPortalLite, then paste in ezPDF Reader... it didn't work! 2nd, I wanted to access my local drive at home to run a video file. This function is available only in paid apps, although other mobile OS have this ability. Why it is not possible to browse local drives directly from the iOS or Safari? Is it so hard to implement this function to the iOS and make it available by SMB://IP_ADDRESS or \IP_ADDRESS? Thanks
Hi there, Im scott, I dont own an iphone so know nothing whatsoever about them. this is our issue pls help : My sister purchased an iphone 4 from a woman at her work. Her husband upgraded to iphone 5 so sold his old one to my sister. My sister currently has a blackberry on contract to virgin media here in England. She took her BB along with her new iphhone to a local phone shop They cut her simcard down to size and put it into the iphone. When we turned it on we got this message 'only compatible sim cards from a support carrier....... ' I called our current contract to exdplain what we were intending to do and swap settings from a blackberry to her new iphone... they said we needed to contact the original service provider... here lies our issue. My sister works as a nurse.. she called her collgue to explain all this and ask what network he was on. She doesnot kno and her husband isnt home for another cpl weeks he is military. My sister doesnt want to wait a few weeks to use her new phone. Is there anyway to unlock and activate this phone giving all the detials of the phone and confirmation from his wife regarding the new user ? Ive read on the internet about jailbraking and all that nonsense.. but i dont want to damage the phone.. It isnt stolen isnt lost sureley i dont have to 'hack' into a perfectly legitimate phone to use do i? My sister simply wants it to work with her contracted sim .. with the benifits and features iphone offers. Please can someone help... model a1332
Sometimes I attempt to connect to the wi-fiat the top bar it did shoed the wifi icon,but when I use safari couldn't browse web,aslo inclide others apps that requires internet connection !Anyone can help me ?!
the phone felt very warm after using it for about 30 minutes to move icons around, check email, browse the Web, and test a few apps. In fact, it became uncomfortably warm.
I did everything to try and fix this problem. Not happy with the life at all.
Hi everyone, i have a iphone 4 a1332 Will not charge and shows full charge. I tried resetting it with itunes about 10 times, tried power botton and middle botton restart and yet no signs of charge, if i unpluge it it turns off. Yet when i use it plugged, it shows the icon of full charge on the battery icon, but i selected the option to show the % of battery and it says 3%, this morning i was resetting it again and i fell asleep, when i woke up, i didnt start the reset, yet i found that the phone now has 8% charge on it. witch it drained off now, and its at 3% again.. HELP!?

Now when I browse the web on my iphone 5, every now and then, a pop comes up called adtrack.king.com taking me to some game in the App Store. How do I stop this?
I just want to make clear I did following, I follow all articles regarding error (-1) in apple support.Updated itunes, Turn off windows firewall, Paused my antivirus, Checked host file,itunes diagnostic test,LAN connections, andTried whole process in 2 different Windows 7 pc. Restore process:Before I update to the new iOS 6.1.2, I tried using my wifi connection and it's pretty slow and not able to do it, so I downloaded iOS 6.1.2.After connect my iphone 5 to my pc, I put it on DFU mode by pressing home and power button together and it appears in recovery mode. I already downloaded iOS 6.1.2, so just holding Shift key and browse iOS 6.1.2 start restoring my iphone 5. But at the very end it shows error (-1) and interrupt and my iphone again shows iTunes logo. Now I can't go out of DFU mode or update to the latest iOS. It's a brand new phone. It just showing itunes logo. Please help me to fix this issue.While I did the Network Connectivity Tests, I found:Secure link to iTunes Store failed. Summary:Windows Firewall is off.Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.Connection attempt to browsing iTunes Store was successful.Connection attempt to purchasing from iTunes Store was successful.Connection attempt to iphone activation server was successful.Connection attempt to firmware update server was unsuccessful.The network connection timed out.Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful. Hello, i got this issue with my iphone since yesterday. It woked me up as usual and i noticed that it was realy warm but haven't thought much about it...was too early So i go to work as usual...then i noticed that the battery drains realy fast (like 1-2% in a minute of usage) and getting very warm on the back right beneath the rear camera (same spot is getting hot while charging). I also noticed that the auto-focus of the rear cam isn't working (also manual focus doesn't work). I upgraded to IOS 5.1 and also reset it to factory defaults and also generate a new profile for it so no old settings are used. But the problem sill persists :/ As long as it is in standby everything is alright if i use it (even browse through tabs) it starts draining and getting warm The 12 months warranty is over...
Dear Contacts Journal Support Team, Each time i have been trying what you put up for me,i always delete The Application Completely,then go to iTune Apps Store to re-download it. I know the apps store will not give me an old version,that is why i do not use my Mac or iMac to replace the application however this has also been updated on my Macs. I reiterated in my message yesterday that,it is not that what you asked me to do is not working or i did not follow your instructions into details. I did follow every steps you stated. The end result is that, WHEN IT REACHES DATA MIGRATION,THE SCREEN WILL BE BLACK OR LIGHT BLUE BLACK,WITH A WHITE SCROLLING LINE THREAD ON THE DEVICE SCREEN,MEANING MIGRATION IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE. THIS WILL MOVE FOR ABOUT 2 or 3SECONDS,AND IT WILL CRASH. I have tried this several time,i do not mind starting all over again,i just want it to work with iCloud. We can give you feedback,and i praise your effort for not getting tired to respond. This is a good and real customer service assistance of which i really appreciate. Hi, Last night I fully charged my iphone 5. This morning, I was using it to browse the internet and it was working perfectly fine. About 15 mins later I picked it up again before leaving for work and it crashed. The screen went black and I couldn't do anything with it. I have been trying the hard re-set all day, but had no luck. I've tried connecting it to my laptop, but iTunes won't recognise it either. I updated it to the latest operating system a couple of days ago. I've also been having problems with staying connected to my wifi at home. I've made an appointment at my local Apple Store on Friday, but does anyone have any suggestions in the meantime?? Only had my phone for 3 weeks. Thanks! Emma
Updated to the new iOS last night and I noticed a significant battery drain on my iphone 5.. It goes down 6% (or more) on standby (in an estimated hour), and when I play like a minute on games it becomes really hot.Also before I went to bed last night my phone was at a full 100% (WiFi & cellular data off), and I woke up in the morning to find it at 61% which is really alarming since I have never experienced anything like that with any of my previous iPhones or the iphone 5 when it was in the later iphone operating system. I've done everything: restores, reset, rebooted, even did a back up, also switched it off and on again, and I'm not seeing any changes. P.S. In my country, Apple stores do NOT replace phones, so I'm at a lost of what to do. Can't even play my favorite games or browse the net coz it batter just drains and it becomes really hot.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry if this may sound extremely stupid, but I'm not very good with the whole Apple hardware, and what makes it tick. I had read something about jailbroken iPhones and hacking viruses, and just before I had read that, I had encountered someone on Tumblr (through Safari, not the Tumblr application, if there is one...I don't personally have an account, but I browse the site) who had suffered some kind of hacking virus. I panicked a little, wondering if there was a possibility the virus from their blog could effect my iphone, and a few searches on Safari later, I then panicked about whether my iphone could possibly be jailbroken. I'm not looking for any websites to check whether the phone is jailbroken or not, (it probably isn't), and I'm not looking to jailbreak it, but I've recieved so much help from these communities I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask this silly question. I've heard a lot about the whole loading screen (when you first turn the phone on and the apple logo with the little crease through the apple shows up) being different, etc, and a whole slew of others. Everything looks normal....the loading screen is black with the apple logo and crack/crease/curved line...whatever you wish to call it, but it won't stop me from being paranoid, haha. Could anyone help? Just how could I tell without downloading or messing with anything on my phone or computer?
Hi! I'm trying to fix a problem I'm having with my iphone 4S and MacBook Pro. I did manage to connect it initially and set it up with XCode as well as iTunes. Today I have spent two hours trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro and I have so far found the following... iPod 2G - charges from MacBook Pro, Wall Charger, Asus Laptop (works with both my Apple USB cables)iphone 4S - doesnt charge from MacBook Pro, but does from Wall Charger and Asus Laptop - Asus Laptop running Linux Mint recognises the iphone as a device with 'lsusb' and you can browse photos etc - MacBook Pro doesn't recognise the iphone as a device with the 'systemprofiler' equivalent of lsusb - Interestingly, despite the charging icon not showing, the iphone either maintains charge or very, very slowly charges when connected to the MacBook Pro. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I've tried both the USB ports on the MacBook Pro and no difference. I've tried the 6 portson my old Asus laptop and they all work fine! Thanks for your help!
Hy people First several days ago i made dicussion about poor iphone5 battery and i was so disappointed and really mad because i gave a lot of money for a phone which battery lasts for a half day... It took me a week to browse all post on this communities and i tried all solutions found here and nothing helped me...2 days ago i decided to return my phone to a local shop i Croatia where i bought it... i told the seller all the problems i was faceing and he told me there is one more thing we could try.First i have to say that i have 3 iphones... i have iphone4, iphone4s, and now iphone5... when i got iphone5 i made a backup form itunes but the backup was from my older iphone4... I bought iPhone4s 15 days ago and i set it as a new phone in i tunes and its battery lasts for a loong time...he told me that could be the issue...Just to say when i was looking in settings/about/diagnose and use there were a lots of log with crashes and everything...NOW THERE IS NONE First we transfered my contacts to Outlook...and i transfered my photos and everything what was important to me to the computer... we didint do any backup with itunes or icloud because thats the problem. We did a restore in itunes and set my phone as a new phone without backing it from any backup...Then i transferd my contacts from outlook to my new phone... and download all apps i had on it....The guy at the shop downloaded new iOS6 update so maybe apple also made same changes in iOS6 updates i dont know its that possible My phone works just fine now...I use it often...with everyhing ON...wi/fi ON...3g ON, location services ON, notifications ON,facebook ON,viber ON, whats app ON,mail ON ( chek mail every hour) bluetooth OFF,... I turned iCloud off and i deleted all previous backups from itunes and i cloud...I downloaded app called battery doctor which is very usefull and tells you what apps are draining your phone... i use this app when im charging my phone. My phone is always on a heavy usage...taking calls, browsing web, play youtube videos, always on facebook, playing games andi have to say that my phone now lasts for a whole day... now as i write this a i have more then 2h of heavy usage an 5h and 27min when disonecting from charger and my battery is at 75%... For me this is good because you cant expect to use all apps and feauters all the time and expect that your battery will last for 2 days... Yesterday my phone lasted for 20h with heavy usage (6-7h) so i think this is really good.. i have to say that i did many charging circuits from the day i bought it so this also could be helpfull. iphone is a great phone... and when i was dissapointed whit its battery i aked my friends who have s3 how long their battery lasts...and they all said it cant last for a day.... Im only sad because i had to find solutions by myself not getting any help from apple...and dissapointed that they also didnt make any official statement by this battery problems... and solution how to fix it... But i will fast forget all of this because i started to enjoy my phone finally I hope this would be helpfull for all of you
Hi,After a large file download, (It took me 3 hours) And now I cannot download anything because my download speed is 10KB !!!My wi-fi modem is working fine because I can download well with my pc (Using cable not wi-fi)But I can browse the web fine with my iphoneWho really knows the problem?!
When I open the App store, I get a blank white screen under the title block instead of the Featured, Charts, or Search. Genius works but this doesnt help me to browse the apps i want to find.
WOW, the new IOS App Store is really bad! I don't know where to start. The most minor problem I have is when browsing for apps, there is a catagory for "new'", "free", but why a catagory for "paid"? Why would I want to search for only apps that will cost me money? I would much rather be able to search by a date, or by a star rating. So why you browse (under chart, you can click "see all", and it gives you a list that you can scroll vertically. Although the list can lag a little, you can scroll through it rather quickly. The worst though, which I find makes this thing almost un usable, is when you search for an app, and each app, shows full screen, and you have to scroll horizontally one slowwwwww app at a time. I'm looking at app 2 or 345, and my odds of getting to app 345 within 30 minutes looks slim! Not to mention that as you try to scan quickly, the sliding gets slower, as I may have to swipe the screen several times in order to get the next app to appear. From a design perspective, switching between sliding up and down, then sliding left and right is very inconsistant. I think this app is very poorly designed.
Hello, I am wondering if anyone has experienced this: When I leave LTE enabled, I can barely get through my day without my iphone 5 dying. If I disable LTE and only enable it to browse the web or when needed, my battery life dramatically increases. I have just put my phone on the charger, it had 15 hours of standby + 7.5 hours of usage and there was still 20% remaining after having toggled LTE on and off only when needed. I am with Rogers and the LTE coverage is generally 2 bars, although sometimes it reverts back to 3G. Is there a fix for this. Apple advertised the same battery performance for both LTE and 3G, I am clearly not getting this.
I just upgraded from an iphone 4 to the iphone 5. I had no connectivity issues on my home network, but now that I'm on the 5, I can locate the home network, connect to the network and browse for about 10 seconds and then I have no connection. The network icon still shows that I'm connected, but I can't browse in Safari and everything from Facebook to Words with Friends just gives me the working circle. Things I've tried: 1) Forgetting the network - Forgot the network and reconnected, same problem, 10 seconds and then nothing2) Restarting the wireless modem - Same, that got me 10 seconds3) Turning off and on the iphone - Again, 10 seconds We have an iphone 4 here at home and that is currently working perfectly, and the iphone 4 that the problematic phone replaced was working perfectly last night. I checked the network settings on both, and the only difference is the IP address on the iphone 5, everything else looks exactly the same. Any ideas?
I have the iPhone5 and I am trying to pair it with my macbookpro model 3,1. The computer reports the devices paired but the phone reports that the macbook device is not supported. When I try to browse the phone from the computer then I get system not supported message. I know my macbook is a bit long in the tooth but I am running OS 10.8.2 without issues. Any suggestions?

If you do have a full backup, I suggest you use that to restore your iphone back to your last IOS. Notes: The most difficult part of the process is installing the correct USB Recover. Also this guide need to followed step by step, do not skip steps. Make sure you take a full backup of your phone, ideally to both the iCloud and locally on iTunes. In my case I didn’t need to do this because all of my contacts and photos were via sync’d Gmail / Google drive. First off you need to ensure that Windows XP will recognise your iphone when it’s in recovery mode. In my case the drivers were not recognised until I did the following. Launch iTunesConnect your iphone (which should be powered on at the moment) via USBiTunes should show your iphone device listed on the left Menu.Switch to Recover Mode by Holding down the Power button and the Home Button until the screen goes black (this will take around 20’s).Press the Power button on the iphone and you should see a “graphic” showing recovery mode. Windows may try and load the driver at this point (unless you already have recover mode drivers installed). Simply follow the normal Windows driver install process. You will now need to check that the drivers have been installed correctly. Open Windows device manager and check if there are any devices listed as “Apple Recovery Mode” listed in “Yellow”. If the devices are listed in Yellow, you will need to do the following. Right click on each of the Apple Recovery Devices listed in Yellow and choose uninstall.Next expand the “Universal Serial Bus Adapters” node in device manager. Hi, i recently try to restore my iphone 4s 5.1.1 because i want to erase all data, i connect the iphone to itunes then click on restore, and browse manually my ipsw, then when its almost done i get in itunes error -1, and then i am stuck in recovery mode. What can i do ? i buy iphone in march so i have the warranty , Do apple going to change my iphone ?
I have had a problem in the past with this and now I want to solve this. What's happening is that when I make a phone call, it says the call is connected, but I can't hear anything, and the person on the other end can't hear anything either. What's funny about all this is that my texting and internet browsing still work on both 3G and wifi, and before you say I over used my 3G, I rarely use it to browse the web anymore. When It started happening at first, I thought it was because I over used my 3G, but even though I do use the wifi alot, I don't understand why this would affect my phone calls. Is this some sort of defect in the software, or is it something else? And if somebody knows a way to fix this, please tell me how.
The red number indicator in my App Store Icon is showing, but whenever I try to access the "Updates" panel in the App Store, I always get the error message: "cannot Connect to ITunes Store." This, despite the fact that my connection seems to be working fine, both via Wi-Fi or 3G, since I can still browse for Apps in the App Store, check my emails, browse in Safari and access the ITunes App in either. I already tried signing in and out of my Apple ID and turning on and off my phone, but the problem still persists. I am using an iphone 4s with IOS 5.1.1., by the way. Any help or suggestion to solve this problem would be very much appreciated.
My work has WIFI available for us to use. I am able to connect to the WIFI and browse on Safari, but I am not able to get email from my Gmail account. Other employees are able to get email from their gmail account over the WIFI. Is there an internal setting that needs to be changed on my phone? I have an iphone 4S Software Version 5.11 Thanks.
My laptop and iphone both stopped being able to access facebook in any way. I thought it was my isp...so i got my friends laptop connected to my wifi network and its fine and able to browse facebook as normal! so cant be my isp.my iphone will send me notifications from the app when people inbox me etc but i cant read anything when i open the app, its a grey screen with a sad face saying 'connection error try again'if i go onto safari and try access facebook from there it just says ' safari is unable to open the page because the server stopped responding'However! If i switch from wifi to 3g i can browse both the app and the mobile facebook page fine! this has taken up all my browsing data for two months now though. i have tried everything i dont know what else to do! i have reset my router but that didnt work, i have reset the network connection on my iphone.id like to add that every single other website will work! just not facebookif anyone can help id be very very grateful thankyou! x
I'm trying to browse apps in the app store with my 4S, but all I can get is "loading".... Ive tried resetting and closing the app, but still it just won't load. I've tried cellular network and my wifi, both with great signals. Any idea?

Cause of issue: Corrupted iOS device iTunes library (MediaLibrary.sqlitedb). This database stores the iTunes Media records and related information such as playcount, lyrics etc. It does not store information and settings regarding iOS Applications as far as I am aware so this should be safe. Resolution Steps:Perform a back-up to your local computer rather than iCloud if practical. This will be quicker in the event of issues.Download a iOS device manager such as Phone View (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/) which will allow you to directly access the file structure of the device. My brother gifted me an iphone 4s 2 days back and when i connected it i was given a prompt to update it to 5.1.1. After i used my phone for around 4-5 and my iphone 4s battery was @ 10% it was fully charged, i read a lot of forums and they said that .. if you reset all your settings and setup as a new iphne .. mine was out of the box but i still did try that and it was still the same . Als i have activated a 2g plan on it.. if i have that off and dont use the phone i get a good battery backup.. When i used my 2g to browse the internet or anything that needs net access my phone gets so heated up i have to leave for some time to cool it down .. so i can work on it .. and the batter in 10 mins goes down around 10-15%. I would requested if any help cn be done on this Thx

There are 4 people that I work with that updated to the iphone 4S over the last few months. They are all reporting that they have had issues with their internet connection randomly dropping and iMessage not working (due to the internet being down). I thought it "sucked to be them". I had a iphone 4 that worked perfectly. I upgraded to the iphone 4S (32gb) last week and now I'm having the same issue as the other people at work are having. We all have iOS 5.1 and all on the AT&T network. Our phones say we have 4 or 5 bars of signal and "4G" internet (not really 4G, but that's another story). The only way you can tell something is wrong is that you can't browse the internet, you don't get any iMessages, no emails get synced and none of your internet dependent apps will work but the voice telephone and standard SMS work just fine. If you try sending a SMS message to another iphone user, it tries to send via iMessage and fails. It doesn't try to send via SMS. In order to get your internet back up and working, you have to reboot your phone. This usually happens once or twice a day for me. Some of my co-workers have to reboot their phones up to 4 times a day. I searched around google and found people with a similar problem, but it was related to iOS prior to 5.1 and/or having a SIM PIN set. All of us are on iOS 5.1 and don't have a SIM PIN. One common demoninator is that we all upgraded from iphone 4 to 4S and restored our iphone 4 backups to our new iphone 4S. Don't know if the issue is related. Thanks for any input. James
Ok, tried the Dlink boards, Toms Hardware, and got no answers. Here is the setup, iphone 4S, apple tv 2, on a gig LAN at home. DIR655 is the router. No Internet access at home though. I want fit be able to stream say crackle from my phone to the apple tv. As of now it's not working, since there is no internet access at home as soon as I join the network I'm cut off from any online access. No emails, browsing, or streaming videos. Now, I know that it's possible because it did it about two weeks ago, I was able to join the network at home and still browse and stream videos from the phone. And it does it briefly during a reboot of the router. It won't give the wifi bars on the header but it will give me an AirPlay icon and recognize the apple tv2. Solutions which have been suggested and failed: Disabled the dns relay within the router settingsChanged the DNS servers to 4.2.2.2/3
Hi,I currently use Windows Live Photo Gallery on my PC to organise my photos. This allows me to tag people, locations, events, key words etc.This allows me to say browse photos by keywords such as 'holiday' or 'ski holiday, etc.I sync all my photos to my iphone but they are all shown together, is there anyway or any software/app that would allow me to browse by the keywords or people tags etc?
After the update of iTunes 10.3.3, I have been un-able to sync my iphone 4 without iTunes asking me to restore my iphone using an old back-up that I have on an external hard drive. Once I went ahead and restored it, but then when I went to sync them once again–it just asked me again to restore my iphone. I have all the software updates in place on my iphone, iTunes, and on my brand new 27-inch iMac, but it just won't work. Also having problems syncing the iCloud on my iphone and my computer as well. Says model a1332
I got my iphone 4s in November or December, so it's still fairly new. Everything was working great until an hour ago when I tried to face time with a friend. Whenever I spoke the sound would cut in and out for me, my friend could hear but I couldn't make out if they input their comment. But when they talk[after I stopped yakking] the sound is all clear. It was working fine yesterday and since then all I've on the phone was listen to music and browse the web. Is there anyway to fix this or do I have to bring it back to the store? I didn't buy it from the Apple store, but the Bell Mobility one.

I work for a Telco company in Jersey, Channel Islands, I'm trying to find a one place stop where I can find iphone hardware/software bugs/issues.This is mainly becuase we have many customers complaining about the local mobile network, which isn't always the case. So I hope i'm in the right place. My first issue is switching from Wi-fi to 3G. I've noticed on iphone 4s iOS 5.0 that if I am connected to a Wi-fi access point lets say at work. I can browse the internet fine, if however I move out of coverage of the Wi-fi access point with wifi still enabled I cannot access 3G and in turn cannot open a data session. Is this a common problem? Regards Kieran
This question didn't get any answers in the "Using iphone" forum. Thought I would re-ask here. Note, I had to reset the network again today 2 days after the last reset: I've been having intermittent problems with my 3g data connection on my iphone 4s on ATT. Whenever this happens I see full bars etc, but can't browse from safari or get any data in other apps. My wife's iphone 4 right next to me has no issues at all. Switching on/off airplane mode and turning off/on Cellular Data does not help. The only thing that helps is resetting the Network Settings or hard restarting the phone. I figured my problems were hardware related so I took my phone in for a replacement the other day. Things started out fine but after I upgraded it to 5.01 and restored my backup and now I am back to having the same issue today. I assume the issue is with something coming from my backup / restore but is there any way for me to pinpoint what could be causing the issue. I have a lot of apps, I'd rather not have to reinstall and set them all backup manually, but I would if I knew that would fix the problem... but for all I know one of the apps could be causing it. Anyone have any logs I can check or testing I can do on my end? Thanks!
hi, my iphone 4 has started acting up recently. it is not jailbroken, the iOS is 4.1 and i keep my wifi switched on 24x7. i can make calls thru viber / skype, browse the internet, download emails, play games etc. however, at random, i have noticed that when i make a call thru the gsm network, the phone just shows endless calling, the minute counter does not start up at all and there is dead silence on both handset / speaker. the call does not go thru. same is with sms. if i send an sms, the phone just shows endless sending and later on, in messages, it shows sending failed. gsm connection shows the signal but no functionality can be used till i switch the phone off and restart it back up. i have used the phone since august 2010 but nothing like this upto now. this has happened twice in the past ten days. any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have two issues with my iphone since upgrading to iOS 5. 1. The stereo in my Renault Megane Sport Tourer also has Carminat TomTom built in. When streaming music via BT through the stereo, following a Navigation Interuption by the Sat Nav, there is a 10 second delay before the music begins to play again. Priot to iOS 5, the music continued almost instantaniously. 2. It is not possible to browse the music library on my phone via the car stereo controls. It seems to think that the track information is not available (i,e, the ID3 Tags do not seem to be present when connected by BT). Is anybody else having these problems with iOS 5?
So, the phone is 2 weeks old. Brand new. It is not, nor has it even been jailbroken, nor have I tried to jailbreak it. The phone will work fine during the day. I use it as an ipod in my car. My stereo has ipod control which allows me to control the ipod through the stereo (change songs, browse albums, artist, etc). So the issue started one night and I was confused. Then again the next night. That's when I began to wonder what was wrong with it. Browsed the net for like problems and the only thing I found that didn't require taking it in to have it worked on was an article stating that it could be the connector cable and the connection to the stereo. So I started trouble shooting. First, I plugged it in normally (USB connector to the phone), it rebooted. Then USB to the power outlet to charge, audio cable in the phone to the stereo for playback, rebooted again twice about 5 mins apart. Took the charger out, turned off ALL apps, just had the audio cable in the headphone jack, rebooted again twice. Got home, ended testing that night. Drove to work the next day, plugged it in for the 35 minute drive to work, all's well. Head home that night and BOOM, problems starts up again. Left it off all cables, no apps running, just the phone itself sitting there, reboots every 5-9 minutes. all the way home. So, go to work the next day, its fine, then at night, reboots. But I start noticing that its only doing it after 10pm and stops after 12am. When I wake up its fine all day, but at night its rebooting. Timed it yesterday and today, both times the phone was fine until 11pm. No restarts, reboots, or crashes. But after 11pm (now, because I'm thinking maybe time change- DST) it starts up with the funkiness. I reading everywhere that its a hardware issue, but given the fact that it only occurs during the late hours and not constantly all day, wouldn't that make it sound less of a hardware issue and more of a software issue? Its running iOS5, again NEVER been jailbroken. I've restored the phone, restored to factory default, and don't want to try again as syncing takes WAY TO LONG. Please if anyone has had the same issue and has come to a solution, lead me the way to resolve this. Thanks a bunch
So I've recieved my brand new iphone 4S (white, 32gb) two weeks ago, and I've noticed some problems.One. Extreme over heating. My phone will over heat if browse the internet for more than 20minutes, or when I text/imessage for about half an hour. It gets so hot, even though it does not have a case on. And Its the bottom and the very top part of the iphone that heats up.Two. Random siganl drops.My 3G signal drops randomly about 3 times a day. I didn't have this problem with my old galaxy, also my friends who is with the same provider does not have this problem, so I don't think its the provider. Third. Randomly turning itself off.For the past two weeks, it has randomly restarted 8 times. It gets really annoying. At first I thought it was because of the over heating. But then today, it restarted just randomly. Last. BATTERYI have disabled all the location service, and anything that might drain the battery. I don't play games during the day, but I do text alot. When I come home from school I only have about 60%max, around 40% left, which is shocking. At the moment I only have 27% because I've listened to music and school isnt over yet.So what should I do? I've resetted my iphone once. Would Apple replace my phone? Thanks
I have tried to "discover" my imac with my iphone 4s and vice versa but they do not connect. The iMac will show it in the list of available devices but it will not actually connect and browse the devise. The phone just keeps searching for devices. What is the problem?
