With my iphone, it seems to be that whenever i plug it in it asks for a Itunes, which i have got, and it gets put into Restoration Mode, so i click Restore and it extracts the software but it doesn't install it onto the iphone but calls it Error 9, is there anyway of getting rid of it, ive tried it with other laptops and USB cords but it doesn't seem to work:/Please help:P -Ben

Can I trade in my 4s with Apple Care

Lately I've been having probelms with my iphone 4s. I bought it in July of last year. The problems include: my lock button is jambed, the phone thinks that I have headphones in when I don't, and applications such as Camera and Safari constantly crash. The screen also does not always respond when I touch it and it does not ring or vibrate when I recieve calls sometimes (I did check to see if my ringer was on, along with vibrating in Sounds under Settings). I have Apple Care+. Can I trade it in for a refurbished phone? Also, for an extra fee would I be able to trade it in for a refurbished iphone 5?

Hi everyone! I have an iphone 5 that was newly "remodeled" for tmobile. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my battery after a recent decline in performance. I am updated to the latest iOS and I recently restored all of my settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery performance, leaving only wifi on location for weather. With my current usage and standby, do I have something to be concerned about? I know some individuals that have my usage and will have a standby time of over a day. Advice and opinions is very much appreciated.

Ok so here's the deal.  At work I barely get one bar on our wireless network, but at home I of course have full signal.  At work I turn off the wifi because at that weak of a signal, it takes forever to send email or a picture on my phone. So I switch to the cellular network, and bam it goes fast.   But then when I get home I want it on the wifi and keep forgetting to turn it on.  So my question is (without Jailbreaking) hasn't someone come up with an app that will set timers for wifi to turn on and off?  That seems like one that should have been out in the first year of Apps?

Every time I try to go onto certain apps, a notification shows up saying connect to iTunes to use push notifications. No matter how many times I push okay the notification doesn't go away. URGENT HELP iphone 4S

Last night i went on my phone to make a phone call but all my contacts were somehow deleted i tried turning off my iphone and then turning it on but still had the same problem. I dont know what to do i had icloud but never used the backup for it infact i had not signed in to it till the next day. I somehow managed to get a few of my contacts back through my messages. There were many important numbers in there. To top it off the most important thing to me was all my information on my calender list like my appointments, and many other important events. Having Paid about £20 for an official unlocking, I am being told to insert a Non-Orange 3G Sim card into the phone that is to be unlocked (Orange is the network the iphone iscurrently locked to).  Well I don't have a Non-Orange 3G Sim Card do I !! I close all the apps in the multitasking bar, turn the brightness down to 50%, turn the weather and stocks widget off, set the nonifications I want to reminde me, and I also, turn off wifi and 3G when not using it but my BATTERY STILL GOES TO QUICKLY! iphone 4s slider mechanism

i have an iphone 4s , of course the warranty expired a little over a month ago. The slider mechanism does not work. I've tried turning the phone on and off, restored to factory settings. nothing seems to work. I've never dropped the phone or had any kind of water damage. I've  taken the phone to the Apple store. They have opened it , No damage has been done to it whatsoever but they won't replace it unless I pay $200.00 , which I can't afford right now. very frustrated. Any other suggestions?

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iphone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

I got a small amount of water in my iphone, at first i thought it was ok but after about half hour the water had spread through my screen, and it started going blotchy and cloudy. Hello, Which mode uses most battery when the phone is on standby and on a wifi network and has 2G (EDGE) coverage.. 2G+wifi or just wifi? I believe it is 2G+wifi because when you put your phone to sleep, it turns off wifi leaving push connected through 2G which consumes very low power. If I have only wifi enabled, the phone can't turn off wifi otherwise it'd lose the push connection. Thanks.

I'm restoring my iphone 4S on iTunes 11.0 and it's stuck on restoring firmware

My phone won't send picture messages to any phone other than an iphone and when I googled it, the solution was to restore it.So I did. Downloading the software itself took nearly 3 hours, but whatever. My phone restarted, but now the bar is stuck at ~3/4 done and it's on "restoring firmware". It's been this way for over 20min. I use iTunes 11.0 and Windows 7.Can anyone help me out? Would it be bad to reboot my computer at this stage?
