iphone 4s Wifi problem, After using the device of 7 month. wifi is not working. BEFORE WAS WORKING FINE and now wifi is not able to identify. I tried all the possibilities to fix the wifi, such as resetting network, restart the phone, restore from iTune and setup as new phone, but the problem remain same. turning on the wifi can't recognise any network. any other idiea to fix the wifi of iphone. I recently bought my iphone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!

Re iphone 4s wifi

My iphone 4s no longer allows me to connect to any wifi connections. The option is greyed out and wont let me do anything to it. I have tried restarting and resetting the network connections and all  settings but this has not worked. The wifi came back briefly randomly at one or two points but could not find any wifi networks. I have read on the internet it is probably a hardware problem so I will be taking it back to apple next week. Just wondered if anyone had any further ideas about the problems?

I can hear someone when I'm talking on the phone and if someone texts me while I'm talking on the phone I can hear it.  Otherwise, my phone makes no sound unless earplugs are in.  No ringer, no alarm, any video or audio....all silent.  Even Siri is quiet!

i recently dropped my iphone4s,screen didnt smash or marked but wouldn't light up,made all the right sounds.took it to be repaired at local mobile shop and they sent it away to have new lcd and digitizer replaced.  I got it marked and noticed home button had dropped then 5/6 days later 3 black marks/spots appeared on the bottom right hand side of screen??? returned to shop and engineer is refusing to repair as saying i damaged phone......I havent done anything apart from use it as it should be.can anyone shed some light as to why this is happening? many thanks

I dropped my phone with an otterbox defender case on the phone on its back, directly following the fall (maybe 3ft) the screen remains black, however, the phone is still on because I get text messages and emails. I believe that the digitizer may have been dislodged from the logic board. Should I investigate the phone myself or take it in, mind you the nearest apple store (grrr) is almost 60 miles away.

The thing is that i've been trying to use my iphone 4S as master transmiter of GPS signals and accelerometer data for my ipad mini to use an app called air navigation pro, the deal is that when i try to pair my devices vía bluetooth they just seem not to recognize each other, the only way i can get them to work is by using personal hotspot or share internet option vía bluetooth, but thats the only way.I've heard theres a bug related to that, that our friends in cupertino just ignored when they updated IOS, Anyone can help me?, does Anyone has Any info about this, or maybe a solution.By the way since this may be due to my IOS instaled in my iphone my devices are:-Ipad mini wifi only IOS 6.1.3-iphone 4s IOS 6.1.3Thanks in advance for Any info proportioned

I have been using this app called +3 to record my rides. Since about iOS 5, i noticed the GPS on the phone started to try to stick to roads when I was going offroad. When I get more than 300 feet away from the road, the GPS suddenly corrects its position and starts to show correctly where I am. When I ride parallel to the road about 200 feet away, the GSP shows me right on the road for the whole time. It seems to me that whoever introduced this "feature" decided to not trust the GPS and let the software decide where I am instead. It seems quite irritating to me as I can't quite tell my route once recorded inaccurately. I have observed the behavior with both my iphone 4s and 5 with no difference. Has someone else experienced this with their phone?

Hi,I am wondering if anyone else has seen this issue & can provide a fix or offer advice on why this is happening? I have an iphone 4s & very happy with is. However. when the battery % lever reaches 20% the phone 'switches' off - if I connect the charge cable the battery indicator says 1% & charging. Yet if I then hold the power button to swich the iphone on, it says 21% & charging. Any idea why this is happening & how I get the battery to show correct value.On an aside - it charges fine to 100% and iphone is overwise fine. Thanks, T

Fixed my phone but display still doesn't work iphone 4S

4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay).  Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again.  What could be broken?

My iphone has literally no storage left, when I plugged it into Itunes it said 10.9 GB were occupied by "other" what is other? i have 6 apps, no music, and 32 pictures and my storage is almost full.
