mi iphone 5 camera not working how can i fix it

When I purchase the phone the camera works, but after a few days and having the iOS 6.1.4 installed it stops working!!!When I open it it just stays without open (not in black it just stays close!) I have already reset the iphone and re install everything through iTunes but this does not fix the problem. What can I do?Thanks

iphone 4 won't charge

Greetings, My i4 developed yet another problem in the series (previous issues concerned home button, power button and camera module)... Two nights ago, I had the phone plugged in the PC, in order to make backup, syncronize with iTunes, change music etc etc... It took around an hour, maybe hour and a half, and I was surprised to see that the battery (which was not even close to flat) reached only about 70%. Shortly after I unplugged the phone, the battery dropped to 50%. That night I forgot to plug it in again, and I spent the whole day yesterday saving the battery. Later that day, I got home and plugged it in immediately. 2 hours later, the battery was still on 14%. I left it "charging" for the whole night, just to find out that this morning, it was still on 14%. While checking emails and stuff, the indicator "jumped" to 16%, but then dropped to 10%. Now it shows 3% eventhough it's still connected to the computer. There is a battery indicator on the lock screen, which means that it doesn't refuse the charger, but somehow the battery refuses to be charged. The indicator in the upper right corner shows "plug in" symbol, as if it has been charged, not a "thunder" as if it's still charging. I tried cleaning both the dock connector and the cable, I tried different cables, I tried charging from the wall socket and from various PCs, but nothing seems to work. Everything else seems fine though. Battery dead and needs replacing, or is it something more "fruttier"? Thank you!

My camera frozen iphone 4

Have tried restore on iTunes and restore to new on phone.   The issue is not changing even with that.  Happened about a month ago and haven't been able to get it to work since. As soon as I click on camera, whatever the camera is facing is what it is frozen on.   Sometimes the shutter won't even open and the video does not work either.  None of the apps that you can take a picture with work either like Instagram, pict stich etc. Not sure what else to do. seberia8

camera app doesn t work iphone 3G

I got my first iphone as a gift the other day (32GB iphone 5 from Verizon). However, the camera app on it does not work. When I launch it, either the closed shutter is displayed, or the screen is completely black and none of the "buttons" (i. e. Options and switching between front and rear cameras) work. I have tried completely closing out of the app and doing a restore of my iphone through iTunes, but it still does not work. I have a case, but the lens is completely visible. Any help would be appreciated!

Can I trade in my 4s with Apple Care

Lately I've been having probelms with my iphone 4s. I bought it in July of last year. The problems include: my lock button is jambed, the phone thinks that I have headphones in when I don't, and applications such as camera and Safari constantly crash. The screen also does not always respond when I touch it and it does not ring or vibrate when I recieve calls sometimes (I did check to see if my ringer was on, along with vibrating in Sounds under Settings). I have Apple Care+. Can I trade it in for a refurbished phone? Also, for an extra fee would I be able to trade it in for a refurbished iphone 5?

iphone 5 won't record sound during video capture

Hi there. My iphone 5 has been working perfectly for about 5 months then about a month ago I noticed that my camera was just recording a hissing sound (nothing else) during video capture. Voice memos record and play perfectly and everything else works as it should The strange thing is that if I insert my earphones then the camera will record sound even from far away but when I take them out again it just records a hissing sound. I've tried plugging the earphones in and out, hard reset, and restoring but I still have the same issue.surely the voice memo and camera use the same microphone? The only thing that seems to be wrong is that the phone camera records no sound without earphones plugged in Please somebody tell me there's an easy fix as we have no apple stores here so I would need to ship it off to be repaired if the need be.

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iphone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages? 

My iphone 4 front camera isn't working HELP

My iphone 4 front camera is not working. I can use the regular camera however when i try to switch to the front camera it either freezes or does nothing. I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, restarting it, and resetting it but nothing has worked. Does anyone know if this problem is a sofware or hardware problem? And any ideas about what i can do to fix it other than what i have already done?

I purchased my iphone 5 in January 2013 in India. For past couple of months, my phone camera dies frequently. The first time it happenned, I update the phone with iOS 6.1.3 and it started working. Next time when camera was not working then I reset the phone and it started working, Now, I have the same problem, when I open the camera, shutter does not open and I am not able to click any picture. Does anyone has a similar problem with their iphone 5? Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Ios 6.1.3 Red Eye Correction iphone 5

Today I was taking pictures of my family, and I was using the flash on my phone because the light in the room was very dull. After taking the pictures and looking at them, I noticed the red eye thing that happens when you use flash. I decided to get rid of them with the red eye correction tool in the stock camera app, and after about 15 taps of pressing the red spots on one of the eyes on my cousin, the tool kept making dark spots in the wrong spot each time, and then the photos app just crashes. Um How can I fix this issue? because its persistent with every picture I Do it too.

Water damage to screen but phone working iphone 4S

I got a small amount of water in my iphone, at first i thought it was ok but after about half hour the water had spread through my screen, and it started going blotchy and cloudy. The touch screen still works, speakers, charger, camera etc. Only thing is phone wont turn off? I tried the rice for a few hours but didnt do much. Does the apple warrenty cover water damage if not how do i get this repaired?

iphone 5 Rear Microphone

Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iphone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross

Multiple problems including broken screen unsure of what to iphone 5

I have an iphone 5 still within the 1 year warranty. It has a small crack on the top right of the phone, which doesn't have any effect on the screen or touch capabilities. However, the phone also has a faulty camera and lock button. What I am wondering is, does the fact that the screen is cracked affect the ability to get a warranty replacement for the other two problems? Thanks!

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

I just bought my iphone 5 one month ago then i realise my camera was not functioning, It always stuck in black screen when i try open the camera apps. I found out there are actually many people who bought iphone 5 suffered this problem when i try to look for resolution online. I want to go for warranty but my phone got dent on it's appearance. Therefore, apple told me that my phone was unable to warranty. However, my purpose to warranty is to fix the camera instead of the dent on my phone. Can apple fix my camera problem? I really feel sad and regret for purchase the phone now because of the problem i am facing now.  Hopefully apple can give me a satisfied answer. There seems to be a lot of people out there dropping their iphone in the bath so I thought I would share my experience of fixing mine.Firstly if its in warranty consult your dealer - if this doesn't help try the following: A lot of people say stick it in bags of rice / silicon, etc but here is a quicker, more reliable way which is far less likely to contaminate one of the connectors. You do not need any special equipment. Make sure phone is off (If you can still see the screen) - hold sleep and Home for 5 seconds and tap the red off button that appearsPop your oven on a low heat ( less than 100C) for 5 minutes.Wrap your phone inside a sock, doubled over a couple of times so the phone is well protected.Turn oven offPop phone into oven for 30 minutes or longer preferably You could use a hairdryer but be very careful to keep it moving to avoid any localised heat spots that could damage components. If the phone got really soaked you might want to jump down to taking the phone apart - if it is still full of water powering up or charging could result in further damage Let the phone cool and try to power up, if nothing happens check for any signs of water vapour still in the phone and repeat if present. Otherwise try charging and powering up Still no success? this step requires a very small crosshead (some need a 5star) screwdriver, don't compromise and try and use a larger one, damaged screws will cause you even more expense. Very cheap on ebay. Unscrew the 2 small screws at the bottom next to the speaker, slide the back up and lift away. Unscrew the very small screw holding the battery connector in place and pry up the connector (lift the side nearest the edge first). Be careful not to lose the screw or the small metal bracket under the connector. Use the plastic tab sticking up half way along the battery to ease the battery out (usual there is a small amount of glue on them). This will reset the phone (you will not lose anything but the phone will hopeful power up when the battery is replaced). This is a good time to try the drying procedure again to ensure there is no more moisture present. Reconnect the battery screw everything back in place and press the wake button. If this has not succeeded you may need specialist help to test more components.Good luck ( and I cannot stress enough - keep the temperature low when drying)

I cant take photos with my flash because it will show as a black screen or a really dark image as if I did not use the flash. What could be the cause of this? Is there a way to fix it myself?

I recently had my 4S replaced after my previous one had water damage. It was working fine at first but suddenly, whenever I take photos with my phone, they're not saving to my camera roll. I don't think it's a question memory space as I only have 1 photo on my camera roll.

I'm having issues with the camera on my iphone 5 where it locks up when I try to open the camera app or the screen goes crazy with multi-coloured white noise or a portion of the screen is covered in a purple band usually vertically.Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it.Apple support have said to restore the phone or wait for iOS updates. I've done both and got a new phone and had the same issues. Any help would be great fully received.

how to import photos from computer to camera roll iphone 3G

i have been using the same back up file for my phone's for the past four years and my iphone 5 started was all glitchy and i had over 10gb of other used up on phone so i restored it. before i restored it though i saved all of my pictures to a folder on my mac using image capture. now im wonder how to import the photos back into my camera roll, not another folder on my phone. so far i have tried using ieplorer and a couple of other programs like that but no luck. i have about 1,500 photos so i cant email all of them to myself and then save them all. all i want is all my photos back into my camera roll :/

So i have my brand new iphone 5, since out of the box (2 days ago) the camera is not working, the camera app launches when i hit the camera icon but the shutter wont open, now if hit home button and then open camera again the shutter opens but the screen is black and i can't use any button on the camera app (auto flash, switch to front camera, etc.). Last night i read somewhere in this forums to turn off "Cellular Data" on the facetime setting, and it started working, until today when i got the same problem. i already restored it as new and it did nothing.
