Bluetooth compatibility with Toyota and lexus iphone 3G

We have about 10 3G and 3GS iphones. They all have bluetooth trouble with our Toyota Prado models and lexus RX450H models. When we use the Parrot bluetooth systems in the cars there is no problem. Toyota/lexus say its the phones. Its the same problem for all - the person with the iphone can hear perfectly but the person on the other end hears a) faintly and b) the sound fades in and out.We have upgraded to OS4 hoping this would improve matters - it didnt.Any solutions apart from fitting Parrot Systems to all the cars (which is ridiculous).Jim K 2ghz intel imac Mac OS X (10.5.5)

iphone 3G

I just purchase a new lexus ES350. Will the new iphone work with the bluetooth technology in this car?

iphone 3g bluetooth handsfree

i sound gurgly/distorted to people i call via iphone 3G bluetooth connected to lexus hs250. ive recorded several variations by calling my voicemail and leaving test messages:my 3G from my car - i sound distortedmy 3G from another car with bluetooth - sounds fineanother 3G from my car - i sound distorteda 3GS from my car - sounds fineother phones (not iphones) bluetoothed to my car - sounds fineIve tried following phone reset, wi-fi off, network settings reset - all with same result.Ive tried removing the pairing at both ends (car and phone), re-establishing - same result.Ive tried from several different locations (maybe with varying cell reception) - same result.Ive not (yet) tried my 3G from another car like mine, but will arrange this with dealer.Sound from other party (what I hear at my end) sounds fine.Audio from my phone (via iPod app) bluetooth to car sounds fine.the distorted sound is very consistent (i have a dozen different recordings on my vmail); best i can describe is gurgly; its intelligible but annoying.called apple support. empathetic but no help - only conclusion is iphone 3G bluetooth hardware may be incompatible with my cars hardware based on my experience that another 3G sounded the same and another 3GS sounded fine. iphone 3G iphone OS 3.1.3 same behavior on prior oss

Bluetooth mic very soft with lexus ES 350 2008 iphone 3G

Hi,Use my iphone 3G with my 2008 lexus ES350. Seemed to work well for a few days and suddenly, everyone complains Ive become very soft to inaudible while talking hands free. If I switch to the handset or another bluetooth headset, everything sounds great. The moment I go to the lexus handsfree, my mic volume drops drastically. Ive reset & repaired the phone and its seems to not make a difference. Not sure if this started when I went to OS v2.2. Suggestions / thoughts ? PC Windows XP Pro

iphone 3G pairing to lexus

After an hour at the Apple Store and another at the lexus dealer, I discovered that the pairing will happen if you take the phone out of 3G and put it in Wi-Fi, and then connect it to the lexus (Mine is a 2007 GS350) Dell

Cant type certain words on iphone. How fun

So... I realize that this has been discussed before. But it *****, so Im bringing it back up again. My gf bought a new car yesterday. Im thankful she doesnt have an iphone, because its more than a little annoying that Im unable to text people the type of car she bought. Want to have fun with your iphone? Try typing lexus without going back and having to correct it. And just for sh*ts and giggles, try typing Acura. Cant do it, huh? Fun!!I get that the iphone needs to auto-correct words. But it should be able to accurately discern slow and deliberate touches versus fast and furious, mistake laden typing. The phone certainly should not skip letters. The thing wont LET you type the u in lexus. Even skimming over the top row on the keyboard wont help- it skips the u entirely.Hows your new Lexis driving? Wish you had bough a Acuta instead? (Interestingly enough, my gf was considering the Acuta TSX, before going with the Lexis IS250) MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Who made decision to disable 3G charging in all new car ipod adaptors iphone

Yes, Apple - The inventor of firewire has disabled support for it in the 3G iphone!! Are you people insane? Every BWM, Merc. Infiniti, lexus owner - please speak up your brand new car with the $400.00 PLUS IPOD interface feature WILL NOT EVEN CHARGE YOUR iphone! Perhaps in a move to sell more Apple devices - Apple has discontinued support for the technology YOUR NEW CAR uses to interface and charge the iphone with. If you have an old iphone your safe, if you have bouht the 3G iphone, your screwed! I want my old iphone back! What is Apple going to do about this! Everyone - Please complain and speak up! Apple engineers, please feel free to be ashamed and feel like fools! Are the car companies not paying you royalites for than **** plug? my god! Signed one very upset apple customer!!! Sony VGN-680N Windows Vista 3G iphone - Thanks Apple - cant charge in my car boo hoo!

2.0.2 Bluetooth not working. iphone 3G

Pre 2.0.2 Bluetooth worked in my lexus IS250. I would get in the car, the phone would pair, and would work. Since 2.0.2, I have to delete the bluetooth pairing in the phone, and recreate a new pairing each time I get into the car.On a side note, more than 80% of calls I tried making today came up with Call Failed when 3G was on (never had this happen before) but is rock solid if on 2G.

Send iphone contacts to lexus RX 400h address book using MacBook Pro

This may the wrong place to post this, but perhaps it will catch the eye of other lexus owners who have come across this problem.Since the iphone has no way to send contact information via Bluetooth as required by the lexus address book system, I was wondering if it might be possible to spoof the lexus into thinking my MacBook Pro was a phone, and therefore allowing me to send the contacts via Bluetooth (perhaps using some extra 3rd party contacts transfer software too?)I guess there are a few questions I would need to answer before even trying it out. Does anyone know what contact format the lexus is looking for? For example the format the Blackberry uses works fine, so I guess I would need to be able to send in that format, what ever it is.It seems likely the lexus would not recognize a MacBook Pro as a capable Smartphone and would therefore perhaps not offer the option to transfer the contact info. However there is a small app in the Developer Tools called Bluetooth Explorer which appears to allow you to change the software setup of the onboard Bluetooth hardware so it appears as a Smartphone. Anyone know anything about that?Any constructive ideas appreciated, thanks.P.S. I am aware the simplest way is to get another compatible mobile phone such as a Blackberry or Sony Ericsson phone to do the transfer, but since I dont have one to hand, I thought I would look into this option.
