Netflix crashes after 3 seconds of play iphone 3G

So lets add insult to injury, Not only am I having to deal with the Sluggish non Responsive at times paper weight POS I used to call a reliable iphone 3G before the 4.0 software upgrade, but now after months of waiting for Netflix to release to iphone yep Im meet with yet more disappointment. When I try to watch a Movie I get 3 seconds then the screen freezes and it crashes taking me back to the Netflix pick a movie screen. I have tried restoring my phone new, removing the app re adding it going into the settings and selecting reset all to no avail. This happens regardless of my connection full 3G signal or full WiFi signal. any one else having this issue or figured out a solution? I-Phone 3G iOS 4 P.O.S thanks to SW version 4.0

Updated iphone Photos Lost

HelloMy computer was stolen some months ago and I have only just replaced it. This means I had been nervous about losing or breaking my iphone because it hadnt been backed up in so long.I tried backing up my iphone tonight on my new computer, and also updating it with the new software, which it did at the same time, but in the process I have lost most of my photos (I had 1100, but only 154 random photos are remaining).Does anyone know how to get these photos back? Unable to update iphone sw from 3.1 to latest

Im trying to download the new iphone software that but every time I try and do it, it just gets locked on backing up my iphone and the little green bar moves about 3% in 3 hours.Is this is a common error that other people have found? Is there a solution?Current s/w version is 3.1 and itune ver is 9 iphone 3G iphone OS 3.1 NA

iphone Restore Stuck

I know there are many threads on restoring the iphone but i could not see anything which helped me resolve my problem. Against my better judgement last night i tried to update my iphone 3g to the new iphone software 4.0.2. Well i wish i hadnt.My iphone is now stuck in recovery mode. I go into itunes to restore it. The green bar on itunes gets to about 75-80% and then just gets stuck there!!!Ive gone through all the steps in the help sections and other forums but it just keeps getting stuck. I even left my phone overnight last night in case it was just taking a long time and it was at exactly the same point i left it!! Any ideas. Ive got a ton of contacts and stuff i cant really lose but dont know where to go from here. Thank you. iphone 3g

Wont Restore Error 29. What Now iphone 3G

This is a phone which I dont know the history of. It was given to me today to see if I can get it going. So far, when attempting to restore it, I get Error 29. I believe OS4 was installed prior to this issue but Im not sure. Heres the details. iphone 3G no longer recognized by iTunes

I dont know what happened. I havent changed any settings on my pc. I updated my phone software to 4.0.2 last week with no apparent problems. I think Ive charged on my pc since but cant remember for sure. Now when I hook to usb, it goes on and off. Like not the power, but it (the iphone) will connect and show charging and I get the windows message that the apple camera is connected and what do i want to do. then it blinks off, like shows my welcome screen, not charging. then a few seconds later it shows up again and shows to be charging. it goes through this over and over. And iTunes does not recognize the iphone, says an error occurred.Any thoughts or suggestions? Dell XPS 410 Windows XP

Upgraded to 4.0.2-backup files look weird iphone 3G

I have upgraded a 3G to 4.0.2. The upgrade did NOT invite me to do a backup. (Im scared stiff doing upgardes of any sort and always opt for backups if Im given the chance!) I dont understand why the files which are on my hard disk where (I think) backups should be dont seem to match the backups that iTunes thinks I have. Please can anyone explain to me why they look different and what backups I do really have?On my hard disk in location Macintosh HD-Users-myname-Library-iTunes-iphone software Updates I have just one item. It is called iPhone1,2_4.0.2_8A400_Restore.ipsw and it was modified at the time I did the upgrade to 4.0.2. It is 305.4MB. In that folder of iphone software Updates there is nothing else and the folder itself was modified at the exact same time ie when I did the upgrade.However, if I look in iTunes under iTunes-Preferences-Devices under Device backups it tells me I have 3: the first is dated when I did the upgrade to 4.0.2; the next is from 20 months ago; and the 3rd is from 6 months ago.To me it seems that iTunes thinks I have 3 backups but I can only see 1 on my hard disk.Please can someone explain whats going on?

Hi guys,Its rediculous using my iphone 3G right now! Its soooooooo slow!! Opening SMS takes bout 5 seconds - opening safari & opera browser takes bout 1 Minute.Are u serious Apple??? I payed hundreds of €s for that crappy phone?!?!?!REDICULOUS!!!! Fuj Windows XP

Major Problem iphone 4. I can hear them they cannot hear me.

This has been happening for the last 3 days. I make or receive a call on my iphone 4 and within seconds the party on the other line cannot hear me at all. I hear them perfectly but they cannot hear me. Sometimes it happens right away sometimes it takes several seconds but my voice completely drops out. This happens 50 to 80% of the time.Went to the apple store and they checked it by using the recorder app which worked fine and then by making a call which also worked fine. They did not perform any diagnostics. Im on the road all day and my business depends on my phone. I am now afraid to make calls for fear of the person on the other side losing me mid sentence or not hearing me at all. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. This happens whether Im on speaker, mic or bluetooth.I upgraded to the latest software on Sunday and to no avail. Am I alone? 32gb iphone 4 4.0.2 software. iphone 4 calling issues. screen wont blank out when on call

I am hoping someone can help me. I have just upgraded from iphone 3G to an iphone 4. When I am on a phone call my face will touch the screen and activate other calls or actions on my phone such as facebook and text messaging. My old 3G phone screen used to black out when on a call so this problem didnt happen. Is this what all iphone 4s do or is this a software issue?Any help would be awesome as I am loosing my mind with this. I Phone 4 iOS 4

used iphone not recognized in itunes

I just got a used iphone (my wifes old phone after she upgraded) and am having trouble syncing with itunes. Itunes does NOT recongize the iphone under devices. Do we need to remove it somehow from my wifes itunes before it will sync with my itunes?P.S. - I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, checking software conflicts, USB and device divers, etc... per suggestions on the apple support pages. iphone 3G Problems

Hi, so i have recently updated the software of my iphone 3G to 4.0.2, i hoped this would help the iphone 3G, but obviously not. The phone is going so slow, i have to wait about 2 minutes for my messages, iPod and other things to load up. It also takes a long time to load anything. And i have been experiencing problems with my music to. When i have the headphones in, it doubles the slowness of my iphone even when the music isnt playing which is really weird. Also, the music has started speeding up for about 90% of the song, so a 3 minute songs finishes in about 15 seconds as it has sped it up for no reason! It does it for every song to. Also, the music will randomly pause even when my phone is on lock and i am not pressing anything. It also does it when its not on lock, and it just goes from the pause sign to the play so i have to press play as it just stops.Does anybody have any fixes for these problems? I have tried to restore my software to 3.0.2 or whatever it was before 4.0.1, but i cant. There isnt a restore date from when i had it. Even a few days after i downloaded 4.0.1 i tried to restore it but it wouldnt let me. I went into the apple store in Newcastle and they told me to restore it but i had and they said there was nothing they could do. Missing Features From 4.0.2 Update on iphone 3G

Hi,I recently updated to 4.0.2 software on my iphone 3G. I understand that not all the new features of the software are going to work on the iphone 3G like the multi-tasking etc.I dont seem to have iBooks which I thought would work on the 3G? Has anyone else found this? Also, I understand photos has been updated to now show the location on the map where the photo was taken. The first time I opened my camera after doing the update, i was asked if I would allow my current location. I said no to it thinking that I would be asked each time but now when I open the camera, it doesnt ask me and doesnt show where the photo was taken etc. Does anyone know why this is? Am I able to get it to work? I have tried putting my location services on but thats made no difference.Can anyone help on this at all?Many Thanks Adam 3G iOS 4

My MBP doesnt recognize my iPhone3

Its been about 19 applications since I last synced my iPhone3 with my MBP (OS 10.4.11) and now the MBP doesnt recognize the phone at all. Doesnt even see it as connected. I have no software updates available when I check and I have no idea what to do. I wanted to upgrade my iphone version from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3, hopefully that is still possible. Iphone4 freezes when closing multitasking apps. Unacceptable

Has anyone noticed that when you have a number of apps running, and you continuously tap the x to close out of them, the iphone freezes even though the icons keep wiggling. It takes the phone about 2 minutes to unfreeze, or I have to restart it. This doesnt only happen if you have a ton of apps running, sometimes it happens randomly when closing out of just one app. It happens on my iphone 4. software bug? I have tried the two solutions found on the internet...hold down the two buttons, etc....Nothing works. Still frozen. All software is updated. mac os iphone OS 3.0

Wifi disconnects when on sleep iphone 4

Has this been happening to anyone? Ive noticed that when my iphone 4 goes to sleep/standby mode it seems to disconnect from wifi mode after a few seconds. Upon turning it back on, I will see a very quick shift from 3G (or any available cellular data) connectivity back to wifi. This all happens in 1 to 2 seconds of switching the phone back on. Unfortunately, this becomes a problem for people who are dependent on instant messaging apps (like IM+, Fring, BeeJive, etc). Switching from 3G to wifi automatically disconnects the instant messaging app hence making it very unreliable. Not to mention the fact that battery usage may be quicker because of the constant search for connectivity of the app. For your information, I have very strong wifi connection where I access my iphone from. Also, my MacBook Pro connects very well to it. I have also done some minor tweaking on my wifi setup (WEP, WPA, Channels, etc.) to no avail.I also dont think Im alone in this. Apple - come on just give me the downgrade software to 3.1.3 for my 3G iphone -and stop beating about the bush!I having no end of problems with my iphone shutting down for no reason at all, cannot answer calls due to sluggish response. iphone 4 smudge mark on all photos though lense clean

Good dayI notice that on all my photos, in Photo mode, there is a slight round blurred mark on top left hand side on front screen when preparing to take photos and same is very clearly there in resultant shots on Photos album and printed pictures.That mark, however, does not appear in Video shots!Obviously I thoroughly cleaned the outer lense, and front screen but to no avail, the blurred round mark always is there in all shots taken in Photo mode.A material defect or a software issue as that defect does not seem to occur in Video mode?Thks for your opinions. downgrade to 3.1.3 horror story iphone 3G

So I was having so many problems with iOS4 that I decided to downgrade to 3.1.3. But after I did this, everything with my phone got wiped out!! Now I cant locate the backup file that was created. I upgraded back to 4.0.2 in the off chance that iTunes wouldnt locate the backup bc it was the older software. Hi All. Ive trawled the net looking for an answer to this question but to no avail. I bought a used iphone 3G some months back and have been using it with iTunes and all works perfectly. I have upgraded the iphone 3G through iTunes. But it restored my phone after upgrading. Now its asking for activating the phone. A USB connector and iTunes icon is displaying on iphone screen. I am using an airtel SIM. The iTunes is displaying a message that SIM card inserted is NOT supported, use a compatible SIM card. Before that everything was working fine. Hissing Sound Video iphone 4

I noticed there was a thread earlier about this that has gone cold... I have a LOAD of hiss on the video recordings. Does anyone have any info about how this might be resolved. iphone 4 is still new here in Sweden so I dont think this issue has been properly documented yet. iphone sync to new computer afraid of losing everything.

Hi, Ive had my iphone 3g for a while and i havnt synced it in several months due to my old computer crashing. iphone wont update at all

Hi,I need help my iphone wont update at all. At the moment the software is 3.1.3 and trying to get the 4.0.2 but it literally just takes that long to load the bar. up to 12+ hours i just have to cancel because i need the phone.I only have like 7 apps, not woah amount of contacts etc. Ive previously taken all the apples off, and added them one by one via itunes and backing up each time and it still wont load. please can someone help I really would love to update my phone -_-

Well hopefully you are not reading this becuase like me your were stupid enough to cave in to the freaking nags on I-Tunes and updated your I-Phone software to 4.0.2. Now your phone is no better than a coffee can and a string.Anyway I know it has been posted by other people but I followed the advice at this link on re-booting my I-Phone after I did a restore on I-Tunes first.
