Can anyone help? Want to use the map app for the iphone 5 if I purchase it, but not sure if the bugs have been fixed.

Google maps App Issue Blue Tooth for GMC Acadia- iphone 5

I'm having an issue with the our blue tooth which is paired with our GMC Acadia.  It's works fine with the exception of each time it gives directions vocally it repeats "Call Ended" through the stereo system.....   It does this every single time the App gives vocal instructions. Apple maps - No problem although I need to be connected via USB which the vehicle has.  Apple maps is fine so I'm not sure why all the Hype about Google maps for iOS. I am just courious if anyone has come across this issue with the Google maps for iOS in a vehicle.

I updated my iphone 4 to 6.1.3 .  since the upgrade I have not been able to use any of my navigation programs.  I need these to work.  I have tried Waze, TeleNav, Google maps.  Is there a fix for this?

Poor battery life iphone 5

My iphone 5 has the latest ios 6.1.3 and the battery life is hit and miss. The phone has been factory wiped in itunes and re set up. It sometimes will drop 50 percent on its own in a couple hours. If i do the home button and power reset on the phone the battery will report better. Maybe its a software glitch. I was also disappointed with the fact that i bought a high end home stereo and the iphone doesnt support the new apt-x codec yet their laptops do?  Why is this. Its no wonder apple stocks are falling. I have owned every iphone since the 3gs and really have not seen any real improvements other than processors and screens. Poor customizations, lack of ability to personalize the phone and really nothing to keep me with buying another apple. This is unfortunate as the hardware is great but the feature set just hasn't improved in 5 years. In fact i think it has gotten worse. Being a communications tech i used to use wifi apps for testing signal strength on installed accesspoints and those apps got stripped be ause of apples sdk or whatever it was. The slew of apps on the android market for this is staggering. Now i see that motorola, htc and samsungs are all supporting the apt-x codec but no apple. Gps apps are poor and apple maps for our area are black and whit and half are covered in clouds from the satellite view so you cant see the streets anyways. As a business phone the iphone is looking less imoressive day by day. As a music player its also now being outdone. I hope apple takes some of this to heart and really does something impressive to IOS 7 to restore faith in its fans. And maybe some day we will be able to use one of our songs for a ring tone instead of having to pay. My old cdma phone even had this ability.

My only concern about updating my iOS or Carrier Settings is that I don't want to loose Google maps until Apple has worked on their map app and fixed most of the bugs in it.  My daughter upgraded her iOS and we have taken trips together.  Google is not as "pretty" but is much, much more accurate and easier to use (IMHO).

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find the complete description of all the individual data presented in Field Test Mode on an iphone (via dialing *3001#12345#*)? Yup, I know what the basic decible strength means, but looking to interpret all of the other details.   My goal is to find the ideal configuration for a cellular frequency booster/repeater directional antenna and am getting some odd readings so far. The fact that I am in a mountain rural area and have scarce access to two competing cellular towers miles away complicates the task. I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? I have powered off, updated phone andanything on yoru site I couldl handle myself to do.Can you fix this? Or is it a Verizon Wireless issue?

3g data connection on iphone 4s inconsistent

Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari.  Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text.  Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result.  Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem.  Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset.  I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, Clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iphone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?

Hello Everyone, I have a question in reference to the iphone 4s GPS.  I'm going to use google maps to find directions between 2 locations (point A to point B) while I'm on Wi-Fi on my iphone 4s. Neither of the locations that I'm finding directions between will be my current location.  When I get to point A I will not have any cellular or data service whatsoever.  My question is if I use google maps (keep it running in the background) when I get to point A will it be able to give me real time movement (the blue dot) when I get to point A so I can use google maps to find my way to point B.  Will the GPS be utilized at the point?  Also if I hit the button on google maps to display my current location will it do that. All help and knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know how to force reload just maps without wiping the phone and reloading? In standard mode, maps doesn't render any roads at all, but works in hybrid mode. satellite mode works just fine. The bug appears to only affect standard mode on iphone 5 with iOS 6.1.

iOS 6.1.1 will not let me play music or use maps through car USB port iphone 4S

Since I've updated my iphone 4S to iOS 6.1.1, I can't use my phone to play music or follow directions through my car audio system via USB. The phone recognizes that it is plugged in and charges, but will not play music through the speakers and directions from maps are not read through the speakers like in previous iOS versions.  The way I know it is the iOS instead of the connector is because I tried my sister's 4S on iOS 6.1 and it worked. Her iPod on iOS 6.1 also worked. Please send a fix for this.

iphone 5 synced up OK with Prius for phone. Phone works well over the sound system. Siri speaks over the sound system when in the car. iphone 5 screen is repeatedly unresponsive at the edges. This has ruined my enjoyment of this device. I cannot play my games properly at all.  The first iphone 5 I obtained  through contract I went straight to Apple store complained and had it replaced only to discover exactly the same problem manifest in the device. If you try to slide the screen with icons below the level of the last row of icons it doesnt respond. This has contributed to the iphone share price demise. Together with maps its simply unnaceptable that a company with billions of Dollars in cash could not implement proper maps OR  mis the production checking for the less respnsibve screen.  People have come to reply on these devices it is poor shoddy work to implement this slackness in a product that led the world so wonderfully in previous versions, now look.. Samsung have caught up and  are now the biggest phone maker in the world. That is not something Steve Jobs would have acepted.

Personally,if I or my business is truly dependant on GPS functionality, I would buy either a GPS or a GPS dedicated app on the iphone. maps/Google is good for casual use, but I have found that they are weak for GPS critical tasks. I personally use Co-Pilot live on the iphone. It's expensive but it has never failed.

Hello. As we all know Apple uses Yelp to add locations on the maps app and 2 months ago Turkey became the 20th country to use Yelp. The maps app hasn't been updated for a long time and there are still many big mistakes for locations in Turkey, nothing has been corrected for a long time. Sorry if this has been answered before, etc.  But I haven't upgraded from iOS 5.x to 6 because it takes away maps and YouTube.  I can live with Google's YT replacement but like the integration the orig. native app has.  But the deal-breaker for me is maps.  The new Google maps is good, but the native maps in 5.x is IMO better in several ways.  I don't need the GPS of the Google maps so that's not really a selling point. Any ideas or any news/updates?  Thanks in advance!

3D maps in iphone 4s are not working
