Why do we have to pay for service of the greyed out wifi, when the problem starts with the ios upgrade???

iphone 4S keeps disconnecting wifi frequently when in use

    My iphone suddenly began disconnecting frequently from my Access point like every 4 seconds, maybe every minute. it just disconnects randamly,i have had this issue for two days now . I restored my iphone to IOS 6.1.3 and yet the issue is still preserved , so i reset my router and my access point to their default setting and still the wifi keeps on disconnecting. I even tested my iphone to connect to my Uncle's wifi access point and still it disconnects from it frequently.My iphone has never suffered any damage. it has never fallen on the ground and not even scratched.The disconnection here is not that the iphone disconnects from the wifi when i lock the phone but it's worse it disconnects when the phone is in use even if I am downloading something from the app store or streaming a video on youtube and then it will automatically reconnect again which is pretty annoying especially if i am using a VOIP service .i tried everything now and seems nothing helps. Is this a Hardware or a software problem ?, i would be glad to hear from other users that i am not the only one affected by it. I live in Egypt, is there Apple Support in here ?, Any suggestions will Greatly help me .

My built in camera is not working properly. At first it showed up with pink purple and all sorts of different pink and purple lines on the screen, it would also go in and out to different types of shapes. And now the shutter won't open and I can not switch from front facing camera to the rear camera. The buttons (auto,options) do not work either. I tried resetting the settings, restarting my phone, nothing has changed... I am thinking it's a hardware problem, and I do have apple care. Has this happened to anyone else? What is the solution to this problem, and how much would I pay? Please help, thanks!

Why Apple doesn't change my iphone in Argentina Why have I to go USA for change iphone 4S

On febraury I bought an iphone 4S but now the wifi doesn't work, this is a common problem in the iphone, but now I am in Argentina and in my country there isn't any place where repair my telephone. I called to Apple to tech support and they told me they could not assist me because they only assist people from Mexico and Canada, and that I had to speak to an authorized service center in Argentina, so I went to the place they told me, in that place I say they can not sorting the problem, that the only solution is to travel to USA to change.Because they tell me that if in legal terms of the warranty states that if Apple so you can make changes determined through some mail? Why not give me that option? I have the right to use my iphone in its 100%, the truth that without wifi and bluetooth is how to use it by 50%.Any recommendations?

Sleepwake button iphone 5

Hello, i purchased my iphone 5 about three months ago. I keep it in tip top shape with a top of the line case. Just yesterday my sleep/wake button quit working. It will push down but nothing happens when i do so. Apple's troubleshooting said to turn my phone off then on or to try restarting it. However, I can't do either of these things because the button doesnt work! Do i really have to go all the way to the apple store to get it fixed? And if so will they replace it for free? Thenk you!

iphone battery is on 41% after 1 hour and 31 minutes usage, and 1 hour and 29 minutes standby. I've followed all of the battery saving tips, my wifi, Bluetooth, mail, siri, push notifications are off. My brightness is down, it's not a hardware problem as its been tested.

Good Afternoon, ive recently started up my own business fixing mobile phones - mostly cracked screens and chassis replacements. Just recently i thought id got a bargain on ebay regarding an iphone 4. It was described as working correctly, can make / receive calls and send texts etc but randomly locks up. Ive got the phone today, unfortunately its locked to the 3 network so ive got a micro sim on the way so I cant actually proceed further at this point.  Although it did crash once on me when i tried to select language's etc - had to hold the home and power button down until it turned off. Ive read on the forums that this is a common fault, and can occur to any iphone - faulty or otherwise.  And the main concensus seems to be to take it back to the store for a swap. My main question is - seeing how im likely to come across this fault again - is the fault software or hardware related? If its hardware related what circuit board is likely to be the culprit?  If we could identify the problem then im sure I could just order the required part on ebay. The fact that apple havent recalled the iphone and that they will accept these faulty iphone's back and swap for new suggests to me its an easy fix - its just easier for the technicians to go in the store room and get a brand new one. Secondly ive just got another iphone 4 white - bought cheap as its totally dead.  Tried a new battery and still nothing.  Got a new dock / charging connector on the way - is it likely to be this at fault?  Doesnt seem to be any sign of water damage, and it wasnt described as this on the ebay page. When id swapped the new battery over i tried to charge the phone ( to see if id fixed it ) and it got extremely hot - so i disconnected right away and left it to cool off. Whats likely to be the issue with that one? Thanks, and hope someone can help Adam

iphone 5 says its connected to home wifi but can't use it

Last week or so, my iphone 5 stopped connecting to my home wifi. It "sees" the network, and either gets stuck in an endless grey dot loading circle or it even says it is joined. But it still is using Cellular for some reason. My home computer is connecting fine to the wifi. I have an AirPort base connected to a router provided by Cablevision. I've tried restarting everything - airport, router, -- and have restarted network settings. Nothing works. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I was given an iphone 4s. This is the first time I use an iphone and I don't know the different while it was actually a jailbreak phone before. Therefore, when I check the Setting and see notification about update to 6.0.3 something, I pressed it and now my phone is completely not working at all even I after I pressed the home and power button at the same time to reboot.

I bought iphone 5 from US in march now my iphone screen is not working. I am in India @ the moment and Indian apple stores denied to repair my phone any suggestion?? I nvr expect from apple to treat their customers like this.

Suddenly toggle the wifi turns light gray, in practice you can not turn it off it. What do you advise me to do? expect an update or I do it replace?

Long story short - went on a 15 mile bike ride with my iphone 4 stuck into my sportsbra - took it out to wipe it every so often, but moisture did get trapped in the case. Anyways, after the bike ride I went to Starbucks, phone was working fine. Pull phone out 2 minutes later - it has shut off. Nothing. Held home screen and lock button together, etc, nothing. Plugged into charger, nothing. I immediately ran to CVS, got rice, phone is in a cup of rice submerged as we speak. Am I screwed/should i go order a refurbished iphone at the Apple store tomorrow? Or will I maybe be in luck with leaving it in the rice overnight/until Friday? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!!!

Hello there, I live in Israel, the iphone bought in the United States.Device Model: A1428 iphone 5Two days ago, internal speaker suddenly stopped working. I can not hear music or hear ringing through it.When I turned to my carrier, in order that they will help me replace the malfunctioning speaker (device is still under the one year manufacturer's warranty) they told me that since this model is not sold in Israel, they can not fix it for me, and because we don't have an apple-store in Israel, I can't do nothing  I'd be happy if you could advise me what to do ( I want to use the manufacturer warranty that I deserve)  Thanks for the help Itay.s

No sound on appfunction iphone 5

Hi guys i got my iphone 5 about 2 week after launch and about 3 weeks later i lost all sound clicks from text's, game apps, YouTube wouldn't play any videos and it worked perfectly fine when i went to bed wake up in the morning to this.  I rebooted the phone and this resolved the issue, the phone was not in silent mode via settings or via the slider at the top of the phone.  the phone would be working fine for about 3 weeks then this would happen again same issues as above this went on till about the 14th December and Apple decided to change my phone now its happening again.  I am at a lose end does anybody know a fix or heard of this before as i am sure this problem could not happen too 2 different phones ?  Thanks

warranty after fall iphone 5

Dear All, I dropped my iphone a few months back and ever since it's been in a support case (I bought it 1 day after dropping the iphone 5 to the floor... how cruel can life be). I'm not worried about the dent in the upper right corner (power button). I'm more concerned about sound it makes when you shake it (it had this since day 4 already)... + the fact that the power button is not working anymore (even that I can overcome if needed).Nevertheless I'm worried about the warranty. I live in Europe (Belgium) and have to say that I'm completely disappointed in the service of the store where I bought my phone (an official apple reseller but not an apple store). With that said I rather know my options in terms of warranty other than asking it in the shop (cause they'll argue anyway). It's an official iphone, done nothing fishy with it (only shouldn't have dropped it )

something wrong with my battery iphone 5

Hi everyone! I have an iphone 5 that was newly "remodeled" for tmobile. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my battery after a recent decline in performance. I am updated to the latest iOS and I recently restored all of my settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery performance, leaving only wifi on location for weather. With my current usage and standby, do I have something to be concerned about? I know some individuals that have my usage and will have a standby time of over a day. Advice and opinions is very much appreciated.

Ok so here's the deal.  At work I barely get one bar on our wireless network, but at home I of course have full signal.  At work I turn off the wifi because at that weak of a signal, it takes forever to send email or a picture on my phone. So I switch to the cellular network, and bam it goes fast.   But then when I get home I want it on the wifi and keep forgetting to turn it on.  So my question is (without Jailbreaking) hasn't someone come up with an app that will set timers for wifi to turn on and off?  That seems like one that should have been out in the first year of Apps?

iphone 5 won't record sound during video capture

Hi there. My iphone 5 has been working perfectly for about 5 months then about a month ago I noticed that my camera was just recording a hissing sound (nothing else) during video capture. Voice memos record and play perfectly and everything else works as it should The strange thing is that if I insert my earphones then the camera will record sound even from far away but when I take them out again it just records a hissing sound. I've tried plugging the earphones in and out, hard reset, and restoring but I still have the same issue.surely the voice memo and camera use the same microphone? The only thing that seems to be wrong is that the phone camera records no sound without earphones plugged in Please somebody tell me there's an easy fix as we have no apple stores here so I would need to ship it off to be repaired if the need be.

Will Apple replace my iphone 5 with loud and intermittently working home button

My iphone 5 is less than three months old and is suffering from a home button that clicks very loudly and sometimes stops working intermittently. This is obviously something that I can't reproduce on command. Is there any way that Apple will replace the home button or the iphone for me if I explain the scenario?

I close all the apps in the multitasking bar, turn the brightness down to 50%, turn the weather and stocks widget off, set the nonifications I want to reminde me, and I also, turn off wifi and 3G when not using it but my BATTERY STILL GOES TO QUICKLY! Dropped iphone 4 in to toilet but hear me out

I dropped my phone into the toilet. I got it out as quickly as possible, but it did get submerged. When I got it out, the screen turned on by itself, but I didn't think much of it, and I stuck it in rice for a few hours. When I went to check on it, it seemed fine, as the screen turned on and all the buttons seemed to be working, other than being slightly laggy. The volume buttons worked, but the didn't seem to do anything to the volume. The speakers worked as well, and even the vibrating part did. the lagging didn't get any better though, so I decided to see if reseting it would work. It turned off fine, and the apple symbol came up, but that was where it stopped, and it now will not turn on. I checked the LCI in the headphone jack and the charging slot, and the one in the headphone jack has a tiny pinkish-red dot, and the one in the charging slot doesn't look red at all. I stuck it back into the rice just in case. Can anybody help with my situation?Just some info, up until I put my phone into the rice the first time, I was mostly in full panic mode, and even after I put it in the rice, I kept checking to see if it worked by pressing the sleep button. I'm pretty sure I did everything I'm not supposed to do, but what can I say?

Camera problem with iphone 5

I purchased my iphone 5 in January 2013 in India. For past couple of months, my phone camera dies frequently. The first time it happenned, I update the phone with iOS 6.1.3 and it started working. Next time when Camera was not working then I reset the phone and it started working, Now, I have the same problem, when I open the camera, shutter does not open and I am not able to click any picture. Does anyone has a similar problem with their iphone 5? Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Facebook Push Notifications not working on iphone 4S 6.1.3 and Macbook Pro OS X 10.8.3

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? I realy need notifications about messages on iOS and OS X.

I got a small amount of water in my iphone, at first i thought it was ok but after about half hour the water had spread through my screen, and it started going blotchy and cloudy. The touch screen still works, speakers, charger, camera etc. Only thing is phone wont turn off? I tried the rice for a few hours but didnt do much. Does the apple warrenty cover water damage if not how do i get this repaired?
